Usually a good experience. Not today. If this was my first visit I would never have come back. Sticky under tables (when I moved it a few inches) made me head to bathroom sink. We moved ourselves to a different table. Even after we explained why we were moving to a different table, no one cleaned the sticky one. My water glass came with unwanted lipstick. It's about time that Georgetown got another breakfast venue. First Watch is a chain that knows how to do home style breakfasts and lunches with a current twist. It closes at 2:30 in the afternoon. If you like traditional pancakes and French Toast, you'll find them here, but if you want a little more tastebud excitement, have their extras with fruit, nuts and creams and other toppings. There is oatmeal, too. Eggs? Yes. Sandwiches with meat and veggies like avocado are good, but so are the vegetarian options. They have a good chickenchangas (a variation of the traditional chimichanga) different and healthy smoothies. There is ALWAYS a line, but to ease the pain of waitIng, they provide free coffee and a place to sit. You can call ahead to get your name on the waiting list, or check in on the website. When the weather is nice, there is outside seating available. Much of the waitstaff is learning, but they are willing to help. Handicap parking spaces are outside. Restrooms are clean and handicap accessible. Seating for parties of 7 or more are hard to find, but you might be able to squeeze into one of the booths if 2 of the party are small adults or children. Love first watch. I've been to them in several cities now. This one is decorated very nicely and they also have a liquor license so they offer some nice cocktails including bloody Mary's. The staff did a great job of working together so if we needed something there was usually someone checking in on us or swinging by. I love their kale coolers and their turkey sausage. read more

I worked at one of the FW restaurants years ago. So I know they have quality, wholesome, and fresh food. I literally went back to try FW after 8 plus years and realized they have improved even more. Food was tasty and service was great. Waffles were tasty, and fluffy as always, pancakes were so good and they have still lived up to the par. Biscuits were homemade and soft with fresh gravy. My friends ordered chorizo omelet, veggie burger, chicken sausage sandwich, and they were all really good. Their coffee is Panamanian blend which was also amazing (One of my favorites for sure). Went for brunch with my friends today. Lovely place with friendly helpful staff but I won't be back. It's the kitchen staff they need to retrain. I ordered a Bacado omelet and a glass of ice water as I can't have caffeine. The water was presented as a carafe of tepid tap water and we were given tiny 6 ounce glasses to pour into. This is Texas, its hot and we're thirsty - no ice as well. Now the food, my omelet was so small that I questioned whether it was composed of 1 egg or 2. The bacon was a moderate amount, but the avocado was completely brown and just 2 thin slices. I could hardly perceive the cheese that was supposed to be in there. The omelet looked empty, just a scrambled egg folded on it's side. The biggest sin was the omelet was horribly over cooked. I also had a side of spring salad that was nicely fresh, but entirely dry. Did they run out of the vinaigrette? The toast arrived cold with a tiny smear of butter although the house made jam was tasty. read more

We downloaded the app and got on the waitlist in advance. Highly recommend that as by the time we arrived, and checked in, didn't have to wait long at all. This was their first weekend and they knocked it our of the park. Friendly service, amazing variety, and food came out hot and just as ordered! We did have to have to wait a bit for our food, but won't hold that against them as I know they are working out the kinks. We all loved our food! Trashy place. All I ever hear is server drama and management not doing crap about it. Try not to sit next to the server alley, I mean you can still hear the bickering from across the restaurant, but at least it's not so loud so you can enjoy their yummy food that came out 30 minutes later. The service was outstanding! Bronti was our server and she is really good. There were six of us and a beautiful baby granddaughter. Bronti made recommendations to the ones that were having a hard time deciding what to have for breakfast. She recommended the breakfast burrito for me. The breakfast burrito was outstanding and absolutely the best I have ever had. Bronti checked on us a couple of times to see how we were doing and to make sure the breakfast burrito was as good as she said it was. We are all looking forward to going back to First Watch. This is pretty much a normal breakfast spot for us and we love it here. I will first say that yes there is a bit of a wait because they are short on staff but that is like everywhere in the food industry so be patient (more of a PSA for all restaurants). The food is solid and our toddler loves it so it is a big plus for sure! If it's Toddler approved then it is definitely parents approved. Coffee is always good, it's nice and strong and you can always get a to go cup after our meal so that is a plus, they have a bunch of creamers at the tables but we always ask for the hazelnut that they have to bring to us. Service is top notch at this location which is the reason why we always come back. We have been to the one in CP and it's not as good. Overall great place, menu selection is solid and plentiful with seasonal menu items that come to keep up the variety. Have you ever thought of asking for a change of address form because you thought maybe you now live here? That's how we felt. Signed up for the waitlist and told 30 min. An hour and a half later we got a table. It then took 25 min for anyone to come to the table. We ordered. It took another 45 min to get the food. There were maybe 6 tables full of people total in the entire restaurant. When we got to the table, there was what I'm assuming was jelly on the booth seat. Hostess had to get cleaning supplies and clean it off. I asked for a towel to dry it before sitting down. Found used baby wipes behind the condiments. Why are we still here? Great question. I feel invested at this point. We're getting food by golly. Then there was the food. I ordered a Trifecta with scrambled eggs and a waffle. My wife ordered the eggs benedict. I'm just going to give a breakdown, because I clearly have too much time on my hands if I waited that long to get here in the first place. This place was packed around 1030 on a Saturday and short staffed is my best guess. Shouldn't be surprised. The host did a pretty good job at seating, checking people in and out. The front desk for check in was chaotic with a small space for everyone to wait until they received the waitlist check. Pro? You can get in line by using their website. The bacon was ok...a little short from million dollar...and it was $5 for 4 normal strips with a dusting of maple syrup maybe something else. The pumpkin pancake was actually pretty good and large enough where you only needed one. The eggs were also ok however the amount of cheese that came with it was overwhelming and I like cheese just as much as the next person. They have a fairly large amount of items to choose from and I would go back to try something else. read more

We probably went the busiest day of the week. The tiny waiting area was packed on Sunday 1050am. We were quoted approx. 30 minutes. We waited an hour, 5 adults squashed into a tiny booth. They moved us thanks to our gracious server, he was so sweet. We then ordered, 30 minutes later he offered us toast to nibble on which was smart. Another 15 minutes later, food comes out 3 of 5 meals all wrong. 30 minutes later, food comes out and it was good, no complaints on the food really. We watched other tables actually sit down near us, eat and leave before our food even arrived. That's crazy unacceptable. Georgetown location.... Come on. To be clear, we've never had a bad experience dining in the restaurant. I want to say that up front. To-go service from this location is not at all reliable. Wrong orders, incomplete orders, swapped entrees, etc. We've ordered to-go food from here 5 times, and have only gotten a correct order once. This last time, one of the entrees was something that doesn't even appear on the menu (it appears to be a Works omelette with avocado added), and the avocado was nasty. Each time, the manager on duty has been apologetic, and has taken steps to make things right, including two fully comp'ed meals, now. But, that's not the to-go experience anyone wants. I'm posting this in hopes that someone above store management sees it, and perhaps gets the store back on track. The First Watch brand has a great menu and dining experience. Meh. Came here on a recommendation of an acquaintance because of the Million dollar bacon. The bacon was good but nothing I couldn't make at home. When we first came in, the hostess didn't seem to know what was what and where to seat folks. There were a lot of open tables but she was afraid to overwhelm the staff. Funny thing was that most of wait staff was just standing around the kitchen. (It was open to view). Finally I asked if we could just sit at the bar. Oh yes, that's open seating. Breakfast was decent even though "fresh baked" muffins were cold. Waitress said they had no way to warm it. Pancakes were huge and fluffy but filled a plate to the edge so syrup ran off onto table. It was pricey for what you got. I think we'll stick to Monument cafe as our breakfast spot. read more
