Big Thumb Up. Waiters and waitress are really friendly and nice, food is always the best. Food on the seasonal menu definitely worth trying. Even during breakfast rush, services are still competitive. Store Manager Neil is the best where he checks with every table periodically to make sure customers can have the best experience. We were here before they remolded and the place was cozy and a great place for breakfast. But they have remolded and I am not sure I'll be back. The chairs are hard metal and not very comfortable. Compared to other First Watch restaurants this one never has had a long wait line and I'm am not sure why. Maybe it's location in Chesterfield not sure. Anyway, service is okay sometime the food is not cooked fully again not sure why it's not because they are busy. Anyway I likes them better before they remolded. read more

My wife who knows my eating habits well took me here for brunch. California residents can be a fussy bunch when it comes to food but my wife a native of St.Louis but resident of California played devils advocate for me. I looked at the menu and was pleased with the selection and options. I spoke to our very friendly server and asked him if i could customise my omelette to which he calmly replied "you tell me what you want and we'll make it". That is exactly what i wanted to hear in a restaurant. I instantly became a big fan of the place and the food was excellent. read more

Our last stop before heading back to NY and we were quite impressed. Some of the best service we have had and the food/coffee/juice drinks were delicious. Terrible compared to the egg & I. My wife enjoyed her breakfast but she got a standard eggs, bacon, etc. My breakfast, being slightly me adventurous, was a crepe omelet stuffed with Turkey, bacon and cheese. Just not great, an average tasting dish that I would never order again. I guess I am just accustomed to crepes served in a more traditional manner. I loved crepes from the magic pan which had been closed for some time so I was excited to have them again. If we go back, I will get what my wife had. Deviating from the norm is not wise here. Service was Ok. The server seemed hurried and agitated and we never saw her after we got our food. Just a strange place. The staff was poorly dressed and dumpy. Have some standards. Really great, mind blowing pancakes and a great variety of other breakfast foods. I especially love the banana granola pancakes. Great service too. They used to have a great burger that I would get if it was closer to lunchtime. Sadly, they got rid of the burger and replaced it with a veggie burger and a turkey burger which aren't for me! A little expensive for breakfast but quality and selection is definitely better than typical chain restaurants, especially if you are looking for healthy options. Went just at the right time, when we were leaving lots of people waiting. I had the "million dollar bacon" -$5 for 4 pieces but tasty, I enjoy the spicy after kick. French toast was good but nothing spectacular. Lots of options for my wife's restrictive diet. But when we asked for some coconut milk for her coffee, they said they didn't have that ... even though the menu said the oatmeal was made with coconut milk. read more

Lets start with the basics... the wait is long and quoting time is important for people who are on schedules. Don't tell everyone 20 minutes! I stood uncomfortably for 45 minutes after being told 20 minutes but since the only place to stand was at the host stand/register I listened to the people working the desk telling everyone the same wait. This is my first visit back in sometime about 1 year ago is probably the last time I was here. It seems as if the menu has changed a bit, not for the better. Its great to offer some eclectic foods but every item is just weird. Whatever happened to just a good ole breakfast? Or what about letting people build there own omelets? This was my mistake I ordered an omelet and I have go say one of the worst I've eaten! Barely anything in it the flavors very bland or non existent. My coffee was very good except I was only able to have one cup to my usual 4-5 because the server never refilled it after emptying it to all of us at the table. It seemed as there were a cpl of managers present but not making any attempt to conduct any table visits. They just walked around aimlessly not even directing the staff. With the open air kitchen you're able go see that there was no guidance there either. Many times I saw managers walk by dirty tables and instead of cleaning them to turn them faster they just kept walking. One other thing that always seems to annoy me is why is it that the bussers are always non English speaking Hispanics? As well as the kitchen staff??? Being in this industry for almost 30 years I can guarantee that non of those employees are legal! I know this is off base but when trying to talk to the busser it was a challenge to get napkins. Sorry for the rant but this industry is suffering and this means that the unemployment rates are still up because of illegal hiring of immigrants. Using e-verify will be a great resource in MO once it goes 100%. Then many unemployed Americans will have the opportunity to feed their families and not lose homes,cars and family respect. I have been here loads of times, too many to count, and the service has always been pretty good, the food really good and the prices very good. It's definitely a favorite, enough of one I had bought $200 in gift cards before we sat down. However, on this visit they really messed up and I debated whether to write the manager directly or post a review. I went this day (12-8-13) with my daughter's family, who all eat vegetarian and especially are concerned about not eating any bacon (pork). Their choice is mostly out of humanity for animals than it is health. I still eat meat myself but not as much as in the past. Among the dishes ordered was the Bacado, which is an omelet with bacon and avocado. This was ordered for the girls (3 and 5 yrs old) and we asked to subtract the bacon and add extra avocado. They did take out the bacon but didn't add any extra avocado so we had to ask for the extra. When we cut into the omelet, a good half of the avocado was black (over ripe), a pretty bad quality control mistake. We asked to have it replaced and after awhile it was. The manager said he cooked it himself when he brought it to the table (showing he understood the quality control issue his kitchen had made). However, it came back with bacon in it and we started to try and pick it out but it was too hard to do. The rest of us were eating and at this point it would be a waste of time to wait again. During the effort of trying to pick out the bacon, one of the girls ate some and was extremely upset when her mother tried to stop her (not because she couldn't eat it, but because her mother was upset indirectly that she had eaten it). Remember, this is very personal and a strongly held belief. Once we pointed this out, the manager said it wasn't on the ticket ... only as we found out later it was. A serious lack of honesty here. Instead of having any really understanding all he really could say was he would take care of it, which ended up him just taking the omelet off the bill. He HAS to take it off, it wasn't a choice. He did come back later and asked if he could do anything else and at this point my daughter was put off and upset that this even happened and wasn't hungry herself anymore and didn't eat her food. The 5 yr old took awhile to settle down. Anyone that knows me knows I am a very fair guy, but the manager missed the chance to show he really understood the mistake he had made, which meant he should have covered the whole ticket and sincerely apologized but did neither (both my daughter and I own our own business and understand very well how customers should be taken care of). This was for my daughter's family, a serious mistake. I am posting this review instead of a letter after careful consideration because I believe that management that day didn't understand then and wouldn't understand fully with a direct letter, I don't know they would have even responded to. The rest of our food was as usual, well made, came out quick and tasted good but any legitimate review is honest about the bad and the good and it is important that management understand their customers needs better than they do now. I hope this particular manager changes how he looks at vegetarian beliefs. read more

I would go there any time for the quinoa chicken bowl. It is served with cranberries, goat or feta cheese, sliced almonds and balsamic vinegar which adds a sweet and acidic taste. This is definitely a killer and healthy (if you ask for balsamic vinegar as a side and use at your own discretion). Another variation of the bowl is served with kale, shredded carrots, pesto sauce (I take this as a side and add very little just to keep the bowl healthy) and feta cheese (I substitute that with goat cheese). I have never tried anything else there and I don't think I ever will just because this bowl is my favorite :) read more

This place has some good high-quality and healthy options for breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately their menu item "100% fresh-squeezed juice" simply isn't so; it's processed by a supplier who ships it by truck from Florida. I spoke with the COO of this supplier and he tried to say that Florida oranges didn't taste as good as those from elsewhere, but I've had excellent fresh orange juice in Miami when it was squeezed on the premises so clearly something is being altered for the shipping process. read more

Excellent waiter staff that makes you feel welcome and not like a stranger. Management has a watchful eye on your dinning experience and will correct any short coming immediately in a customer first type manner. First time eating here and I will definitely be back. I had the salmon frittata and wanted seconds! The morning meditation juice was delicious too. Excellent experience. My wife and I visited after church today. I ordered the traditional breakfast and all was good. However, my wife really liked the yogurt, granola and fruit. I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant again. I've really enjoyed the food. This time the server was rude when I didn't want coffee and never delivered our order. Another server finally brought my Eggs Benedict which was barely room temperature. The flavor was excellent in spite of the temperature and since no one came to ask about our food, we ate it. The check was delivered without a word from the server. When we told the cashier about the food she said "Sorry about that". We won't be back. read more

I came here for lunch and ordered the Floridian French Toast and a side of bacon. I'll start with the good things. The service is fast, so it's ideal when you have time constraints such as a lunch break. The fruit on top of the French toast was also good and fresh. I believe it was mostly bananas and strawberries with a few kiwi slices thrown in. Unfortunately, I thought the French toast was kind of bland. Honestly, a place like Cracker Barrel has better French toast. Same with the bacon. It's kind of hard to mess that up. It was just fine. I guess that sums up my experience: just fine. The food isn't horrible, but I'm not in any rush to go back. People I was with seemed to really enjoy everything they got, though. Maybe I'm in the minority. read more

Such a cute place. Great aesthetic and promising menu. I'm always disappointed though when places that tout fresh farm-to-table food serve cream in those odd non-refrigerated packs on the table. How about some real milk or cream? Makes such a difference in coffee. And for the healthy-start granola/yogurt option, it's a shame that the only yogurt options are sweetened (vanilla or strawberry).
