I was highly impressed with the brunch here. I signed up for the waitlist before my boyfriend and I left the house since it was Saturday at noon. It was about a 20 minute drive and when we arrived we only had to wait 5 minutes for our table. Our server greeted us immediately and took our drink orders. However, we waited for another 10 minutes and another waitress greeted us apologizing for the wait. She noticed her co-worker was overwhelmed and came over to help out which I thought was a great showing of teamwork. We both got a skillet as our main. I got Parma while my boyfriend got the farmhouse. Our skillets were piping hot, the hash had a char but was still tender, and our eggs were still runny. The toast is multigrain and are pretty thick, kind of like Texas toast. The strawberry jam was super delicious and fresh. We also got a Belgian waffle to share and the berry compote was the best. I also got the summer blush to try and it was super refreshing. You could definitely taste all of the fruit and ingredients that went into it. Will definitely be returning here for brunch. The atmosphere was a chic, minimalist, barn feeling. And the staff was very sweet not to mention delicious food. read more

Best brunch spot in the area. I would recommend this place over turning point, the food seems higher quality and flavors are more bold. Came here on a Sunday around 1PM with a friend, wait was about 40 minutes. They have a waiting list texting system though, and they're quite close to the mall and various shopping plazas, so it's easy to pass the time. However, lots of people here and very busy! My friend and I opted instead to take out. Food took about 15 minutes and we brought it back. One thing I didn't like was that most of the food on the menu is very high in calories, but I guess it's nice they had them listed. I got the meditation juice and morning market veg omelet. Loved the meditation juice, had a nice gingery kick. Market veg omelet was great too. I liked that although the food was a bit cold by the time we brought it back, the omelet was still full of flavor. My friend ordered 3 brunch entrees and a cold brew and along with my one entree and juice, it came to about 60 dollars. So I think the price is quite fair! Overall, this place is prob the best brunch you'll get in the area. read more

Delicious breakfast with the family. We used the app to check in, avoiding the lines waiting to be seated. It was kinda satisfying to waltz right in and get seated. I love having a carafe of coffee set on the for my convenience. My choice for breakfast was the Trifecta which included one meat, a huge pancake and 2 eggs. I added the sourdough toast. Huge pancake although a touch overdone. For about $10 each, my hubs and kid each got one pancake and one Belgian waffle. Again, huge portions but in the end, they both agreed for that price they wished it included a choice of meat and or home fries. All in all, great flavor and on point service but be prepared for prices. Good thing we had also joined their club and used their BOGO coupon for our first meal. read more

First time here. And my last. We had to sit at a table because all of the booths wee taken---by uncleared dishes. We came at 1pm. There were only 3 tables occupied. The carafe of coffee was not even hot and I've had better coffee in the pots you get in a hotel room. We ordered carrot pancakes and biscuit and eggs. The pancakes were burnt and wouldn't have any flavor at all if it wasn't for the syrup the gravy on the biscuit had so much pepper it burned in the back of our throats service is the kind where they walk up to your table. Ask a question then turn around and walk away before you can answer it. There are too many options to waste your money on first watch. read more

I did a pickup on a busy Sunday morning and was super happy with what I got! I work nearby so I ordered ahead and picked up breakfast on the way. For breakfast, I had a meal with over medium eggs, bacon, and a Belgian waffle. The bacon was delicious and had something so beautiful going on (was that caramelization on the regular bacon?!) that I was glad I saved a piece for later! Eggs were cooked to spec and Belgian waffle was big, beautiful, and filling as expected. I appreciated that eggs and bacon were in one container, while the waffle was in another. My shift is kinda long so I ordered a meal for later, which was breakfast tacos. I left it in the bag, uneaten and many colleagues saw the bag and the meal, eliciting much jealousy. "Whose tacos are those?!" and "Are those your tacos in the back?" were common themes throughout the day. The end of my shift came and I ate those babies cold. I know they were amazing hot, but they were still a treat when cold. The tortillas had to have been crunchy when made, but again, as a cold meal there was no crunch and I did not mind at all! I didn't eat the black beans with the tacos, but they looked fine. Idk, the idea sounded good but I didn't want to eat them cold or warm them up so I left them out. read more

I came in here on a Friday afternoon close to 1pm, they close at 2:30, it was packed and we were seated quickly. Our waiter was friendly and efficient coming to talk to us. Our order came fast, the French toast was delicious, though the coffee is too strong for my liking. The French toast could have been a little hotter and the bread was a bit too stale for me. The presentation and ambiance is really nice and clean. There is only one female bathroom with a sink and it's small. The prices with a pancake, side of fruit, French toast and 2 coffees came to $32, a bit pricey for breakfast but it was enjoyable. read more

This review is for the host Haddi or Haddy ( they don't have name tags so not sure spelling ) For today 10/12/22 at 11am Asked for seating by the window with the sun due to special needs. She informed me I have one group in front of me but will "try" This group was 2 elderly women I looked around the restaurant , both me and my husband saw that there was four other tables available. All with NO SUN. Like I REQUESTED. Haddi ( the host ) immediately seated that group of two elderly women whom put their purses in the sun and tried to avoid it from touching their body. Then Haddi seated another group who entered after me then informed me she was waiting for a table with the sun to be available. Me and my husband had another look around . With two tables still open , it was clear this host on purpose denied my request. We left and went to Turning point down the street. Food is just as good and the wait is never disappointing. We will not be back to this location if nothing is done about this and if Haddy is still host and untrained for customer service of individuals with special needs. read more

Service was incredible, food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, definitely worth the visit

Food was plentiful and delicious. Service was excellent! I had a plastic shield coving one eye having recently had surgery The host immediately offered to seat us where he could close a shade so the sunlight wouldn't bother me. Then Rae, our server, noticed I was having trouble reading the menu. She asked if I'd like a large print menu. It was so thoughtful and a big help. By the way, they had the menu in braille also. Overall, a great experience. read more

Food was amazing, service was decent the server was a little bit unfriendly. I came in for lunch was sat at the counter and there were 3 servers on the other side of the counter that was chatting away without paying attention to the customer, was literally less than 5 away, i had to wave my hand and get their attention to put my order in after waiting almost 15 minutes for some attention this particular branch was the one in norfolk. The ambience was good as always and very inviting. I gave four stars because I've been to other locations from different states the service was really good, this was the first for me with this experience. read more

Still my favorite place for breakfast in south jersey! Picked up breakfast to go today and they did not disappoint whatsoever. Everything was delicious and it is safe to say that the AM Superfoods Bowl is still the best thing on the menu. My mom ordered the farmhouse hash, which she loved but she agreed that the superfoods bowl was better. We paired our meals with the classic kale tonic fresh juice! I was glad to see a place for breakfast/brunch open to compete with Turning Point diner. We stopped in for a late breakfast, here is my 2 cents: THE BAD - Eggs Benedict ( traditional) eggs raw, I like my yolks runny and my egg white firm. The hollandaise sauce too much lemon and too sour. The coffee was too acidic for my taste. Note: To be fair I have yet to eat good eggs Benedict in any diner/cafe. THE GOOD - My date had the Turkey sausage gravy and biscuits and it was done well. - There is a 'waitlist' for tables which is a big bonus, they text you when its time to be seated. - The diner was busy but service was good, and it was clean. THE REVIEW - Not he beat but not the worst! Price was moderate for the area, food was average, service was good, cleanliness was good! We would try it again if we are in the area. read more

Loved the vibe and aesthetics here. The staff was great in making sure we needed everything and the covid precautions were excellent. Always a pleasure to eat at First Watch. The breakfast selections include a number of healthy dishes, and the staff is friendly and service is quick. The place is clean clean clean! Some of my favorite dishes include omelettes and the French toast. They know how to make it! If you're feeling super healthy, try an egg white omelette and ask to substitute fruit instead of bread. Get coffee and they bring you a small pot of it - no having to catch someone's eye when you need a second cup. Go on a weekend and you may have to wait a bit to be seated, but it's worth it! My fiancé found this place and recommended it for me since I don't see meat. I love that they have natural juices and healthy food options. When I walked in I noticed they have the Vanilla Chai Pancakes which looked yummy and very filling. I don't exactly care for pancakes but the thought of knowing there's different kind of seeds (pumpkin and sunflower) and there's almond butter instead of syrup made me want to get them. I ordered the vanilla chai pancakes and it was so filling; I could barely finish them all. I also ordered the morning mediation and it was delightful. I love how fresh everything tasted. I also love that they offer complimentary coffee as you wait; I was definitely SOLD! Whenever I'm in the area, I would definitely come back. read more

We decided to give this chain a try after seeing this at a couple of other locations during our travels. We were immediately seated after checking in. We can see that the restaurant is medium in size and is very bright inside. The ceiling has little bright lights in the center, with plushy green booths directly underneath. There are also booths lining the sides of the restaurant as well. Large windows take up most of the walls' spaces and the spaces that aren't covered by a window have decorative pieces. The walls are pea green, gray-and-light-gray-striped, and pale blue. Towards the back of the restaurant is where the kitchen is and it's actually visible from the dining area. However, it is mostly covered by two shelves that have skillets hanging over them. The washroom is to the right of the shelves. Nadia was our server. Daughter had Shrimp with Grits from the Joys Of Spring menu. It's sautéed Cajun shrimp and andouille sausage cooked Low country style with chicken stock, house roasted tomatoes, onions, green bell peppers and scallions atop cheddar parmesan cheese grits. She thought it was pretty good, but it was a bit watery for her taste. The andouille sausages tasted amazing with the grits and the bell peppers were a wonderful touch as well. The entree came with artisan ciabatta toast. We were missing the ciabatta toast, so we had to ask Nadia for it. Hubs thought that the toast was disappointing . It was barely warm and it was seasoned with cajun spices or paprika. Kinda weird, if you ask me. Hubs had the French Toast which is a custard-dipped, thick cut brioche bread with whipped butter, powdered cinnamon sugar and warm mixed berry compote. He thought his French toast was good. He didn't order anything spectacular but it hit the spot. It's been a long time since he's had french toast. His only beef was that the coffee was WEAK. I thought the coffee was disappointing. It was a very, very light roast. It tasted like watered down coffee. Lastly, I ordered the Tri-Fecta which was two eggs over easy with a Belgian waffle along with bacon. I ordered bacon extra crispy and it wasn't crispy. I was disappointed with that because I couldn't chew it. The Belgian waffle appeared and tasted slightly pale. It tasted slightly undercooked but the eggs were good. Service was good and prompt. Nadia stopped by a couple of times to make sure that everything was going good. What I really liked about this place was that the restaurant's website actually had nutritional information for each item. Daughter is T1D and needs to be able to count her carbs before giving herself insulin. We were able to eat here with without worrying whether or not she gave herself enough insulin. Will definitely return when in the area to try other items on the menu. read more

Ehhh, not that big fan of it. I felt it was a bit overpriced for something so simple. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of lox. Now, if you order the Benedict with a side of lox, the lox is very reasonable, however, ordering it with anything else, and expect to pay. I don't get that?? I did point to the lox that was with the Benedict, but the server didn't quite understand me. Anyway, the avocado was literally just smashed and placed on toast served with a side of eggs. I would have enjoyed something else with it like tomatoes or sprouts. Also, I didn't think they even used enough salt. My hubby had something with potatoes but I honestly don't remember. It wasn't too memorable. Will I be back? Probably not. read more

Food is great every time we visit. Super long waits on the weekend obviously since brunch is their thing. We had a party of 6 and were told a pretty long wait even though we called ahead of time to put our name down. Luckily they do offer some hightop seating that is a 1st come 1st serve and were were able to snag seats there. The food was fresh and hot. I have came to first watch since the day they opened their doors. It has been a while so we decided to go. I checked in over the app. I live 35 minutes from there. I get there and go to check in and they removed me off the list. They give you 15 minutes to get to the place then 2 minutes warning to check in then they remove u. This system is not a good design I was turned off by the lady with glasses checking people in. She's rude and arrogant. She used her authority to embarrass me by answering me in a tone. I asked her if I had to check in again. She answered YUP. WOW. She walks a way. I rechecked in she looks up from her ipad and says my name. No questions of my preference like she asked everyone. Totally going to spend my money elsewhere and tell everyone else of my experience. Your checkin is not realistic for people who don't live in the area. read more

Today I had brunch at First Watch. This was my second time trying FW and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. My daughter & I started off by sharing the Million dollar bacon. Been wanting to try it since my first visit to FW. I absolutely love thick bacon cuts and the Million Dollar bacon had a nice sticky maple glaze and a nice hint of spice. I had the Tri-Fecta breakfast, Bob's Red Mill Buttered Grits, and my daughter had the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos. My Tri-Fecta breakfast included their Belgian waffle, omelette style eggs and chicken sausage. I asked for my eggs to include onions and peppers and they completely forgot to include it. The Bob's Red Mill Buttered Grits were clumpy but still good. My daughter enjoyed her Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos. She didn't care for the black beans as she mentioned they were under seasoned. We both ordered the Tropical Sunset drink. We both enjoyed this refreshing drink. Not overly sweet, just right. Our waitress took great care of us and was attentive. There was a 30 min wait but that's not unusual for the weekend. I really enjoyed FW and besides the clumpy grits and them forgetting to add my onions and pepper to my egg omelette, I'd give them an 8 out of 10. I'll definitely return. Next time I'd like to try the avocado toast. If you haven't tried FW, I should you trying them out for your next brunch/lunch date. I highly recommend their Belgian waffle. It's the best I've had in a while. Also, they are reasonably priced. Our brunch was under $60. read more

First Watch (alot like Turning Point) is a casual breakfast/brunch/lunch place. On weekends it gets very crowded but we were able to snag an outdoor table after a 35 minute wait. (Thanks, Vince!) Came here for breakfast! Love the variety in the menu. Wish they had a place like this by home. The service was excellent. Million dollar bacon was soo good!!! Candy bacon is life. Hubby got the smoked salmon Benedict. He said it was good just sloppy to eat. I got the avocado toast with eggs. It was good! My only complaint is for $11 for such a simple dish is a lil steep. I ordered the bacon and eggs for the kids. It came with fresh fruit that was all really sweet and fresh. Hubby got a coffee and wasnt crazy about the taste. It was probably the bean they used that he isnt crazy about. Overall a great meal and would definitely go back if we were in the neighborhood. read more

I have been to a few first watch, breakfast and brunch spots before so I am not new to the chain. This was my first time at this location however. My coworker and I decided to go get brunch after one of our meetings. This location is in a busy area with other restaurants and also shopping surrounding. The place was clean and they had plenty of people to working which is always a great sign to me. We were seated immediately and our waitress attended to us immediately. We order water and took a moment to look over the menu. I decided to go with the salmon frittata, which came with a side of greens and I also ordered grits and coffee. My coworker Christina ordered a special. I think it was some kind of steak hash with eggs. Our waitress brought out my coffee and her orange juice very quickly. I noticed food was coming out left and right and it shouldn't take too long for ours. I was right!! We sat chatting for a little and next thing I know our food is being served. It all looked very tasty and the presentation was nothing fancy but clean. My dish was very good. The salmon frittata was delicious, the greens on the side were good once I added a little more dressing and the buttery grits were great as well with a little pepper and salt. Christina said her dish was delicious and she was very satisfied. I'm glad we choose to come here, our server was fantastic and attentive and the food was all great. Not one complaint this go around and that's how I prefer to enjoy a meal that I'm paying for. I'm not in the part of Jersey often but I would go back if I were. read more

Just visited this location on Father's Day. It was very busy but the restaurant kept up with providing great service and made-to-order food. Hint: Download their app and you can request your spot in their "Wait In Line." Best invention for sure! Parking can be tricky and don't be afraid to park across the street at Wegmans if you don't mind crossing traffic. We went for brunch and very much enjoyed our meals. I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped I would... Atmosphere: Big, bright and open. Cozy. Love it! Service: No complaints! Food: The million dollar bacon was the winner and definitely carried the meal. Delicious! However my eggs benedict was just off... it was so lemon-y or just sour in general, I couldn't figure out what was causing it! I like creamy and savory, perhaps a tinge sweet, so that was a bummer for me.. and the eggs weren't dippy (my favorite part!!!!)! The French Toast was average, not bad, just not amazing. The same you could make at home. But my husband did say the breakfast tacos were good. Overall, I won't be back. There are just so many diners in the area that do breakfast so well and never disappoint! I think I also really recommend this place for people who are very conscious about what they eat, it's definitely on the healthier side... and there's nothing wrong with that. Just not my style for a breakfast out. read more

First Watch, Last Time! Saw this place while in the area and wanted to try it. Today is my birthday so my family took me here for brunch. I would if been better off at a Dunkin Donuts drive thru. For starters we ordered our drinks. I got coffee and had to wait over 10mins for creamer needing a new coffee by the time the waitress returned with the creamer. Next on to our food order. My oldest ordered the healthy Turkey omelet minus the Turkey because she doesn't eat meat. It arrived with the Turkey so we sent it back. The waitress asked them to remake it. Instead of remaking it the cook on duty simply reopened the omelet and removed SOME of the Turkey. So it came back to the table cold, with a spilt in the middle and small pieces of meat left in it. We told the waitress and she said she told them to remake it so she was going to tell her manager. A moment goes by and we don't see our waitress so we call another staff member over asking for the manager or our waitress back. The waitress comes back and we tell her our daughter doesn't want it. I mean who wants someone to make you anything else after doing something so disrespectful and unsanitary to your food? The waitress was obviously frustrated with us because she said she asked them to make it again already......not our problem and it could of been resolved with out doing that by simply asking the customer what they wanted before hand. She did ask if we wanted anything else afterwards but again why would we. After that she never came back to check on drinks or anything. When she did come back we were done eating and just ready to leave. The place wasn't busy so I don't really get the lack of attentiveness but it was what it was. Now let's get to the actual taste of the food. Whoever their chef was today can not cook. My scrambled eggs were hard and flavorless, my waffle was soggy and the potatoes were hard and undercooked though seasoned well enough. The grits were meh, the pancakes were meh as well. The watermelon sunrise drink or whatever you call it tasted like lime juice and the drippings of a bowl of watermelon. Very bland and bitter. The coffee was meh as well. I've eaten at a lot of places and the majority of the time when a manager is made aware of the food or service not being good they come and check on the table. However not here. With that being said my review is based on the customer service as well as the food. Unfortunately you have to at least give 1 star but if I could've I wouldn't of given any at all. read more

First Watch - Something that looks better than it tasted unfortunately.......The Trifecta - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

I had never heard of First Watch until my friend recommended it to us for a brunch. When I heard it was a brunch place all I could think about was just, "here's another Green Eggs or Turning Point." By the end of the meal I was walking out saying that First Watch is better than Green Eggs is better than Turning Point if you know what I mean. I didn't have many high expectation for this place but from the get-go you are welcomed with, I guess I'll call it, a new-age rustic farm-to-table vibe from the weathered-looking paint-jobs to the stable-looking booths. We were served rather quickly after ordering as well! Our table ordered the Chickichanga, Classic Benedict, and the Farmhouse Hash. Overall these dishes were great and the serving sizes were deceptively large. My favorite was the Chickichanga which is like a large breakfast burrito of sorts packed with chicken and chorizo as well as avocados and monterey jack cheese -- so yummy. While I was disappointed that they don't offer Huevos Ranchero's the Chickichanga did not have me looking back with any regrets. Overall, I think First Watch is the brunch place to beat in the SJ area. read more

Went to this location many times and the food was always good. Service today was terrible. I joined the waitlist prior to leaving my house. We get there(party of 2) and check in. The gentleman working said it will be a few minutes since they need to clean a few tables. Sure no problem. We waited over 10 minutes( totally understandable). I also understand that the empty clean tables may not have a one to service them which is why I don't ask about them. A women comes in and is seated right away. When we mention that we have been waiting after the woman is seated we were told they were short staffed. Again understandable but they couldn't understand what we were Saying. Let me preface this review by saying I would not be opposed to trying first watch again. That being said, I wasn't super impressed- but maybe because I got a lunch entree? Next time I will try breakfast. We started off with the million dollar bacon, which came out the same time as our entrees. I would have preferred it come out first, but that's okay. The bacon itself was just alright- I thought it was a bit spicier. As for my lunch entree, I got the half and half lunch special with the ham & gruyere melt and the sweet honey pecan salad. Both were okay, but a little on the saltier side. The service was fine and the place was really nice on the inside but the food did just not wow me. I've visited a First Watch in Virginia and fell in love with the Million Dollar Bacon. Imagine my excitement when I saw that notification on Yelp that they opened a location in Cherry Hill!!? Hoosband and I went to visit that next day which was last weekend. Apparently everyone else in town was anxious to try this place because the 15 minute wait was actually about 25, but I promise they did not disappoint (as expected). Multigrain Pancakes, Chicken Apple Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes, Cheese Grits, and something else my husband had, lol. Everything was so good, but I did regret not getting the bacon. That only means one thing... I have to come back again so that I can order it :-). Before we paid the bill we ordered one of the seasonal juices. It was super celery'y if you get where I'm going with that, lol. I mad myself drink it because if it's green it's gotta be good for you, right? Lol. Oh, and I believe you can add yourself to a waitlist via an app. I'm pretty sure I heard some patrons mention that when they checked in. read more
