I've visited a First Watch in Virginia and fell in love with the Million Dollar Bacon. Imagine my excitement when I saw that notification on Yelp that they opened a location in Cherry Hill!!? Hoosband and I went to visit that next day which was last weekend. Apparently everyone else in town was anxious to try this place because the 15 minute wait was actually about 25, but I promise they did not disappoint (as expected). Multigrain Pancakes, Chicken Apple Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes, Cheese Grits, and something else my husband had, lol. Everything was so good, but I did regret not getting the bacon. That only means one thing... I have to come back again so that I can order it :-). Before we paid the bill we ordered one of the seasonal juices. It was super celery'y if you get where I'm going with that, lol. I mad myself drink it because if it's green it's gotta be good for you, right? Lol. This was my first time coming here, we came on a Sunday around 12:30 and waited about an hour even with the Yelp check in, this was expected since it is a weekend. The front waiting area is small so everyone kind smushed together, there was a refreshment stand with water and coffee which was a nice touch. The food was good. I do notice the portion sizes are much smaller compared to their competitors just right down the road (turning point) I like how they offer a lot of variations to different diets. I'm gluten free and they catered to it well! Our waitress was super nice. The kale juice they had was delicious. I just wish that they gave you a tad bit more food? I had an egg white omelette and it came with a side a fruit, one piece of my gluten free toast (extra) and some salsa. I wasn't really satisfied at the end of my meal. You could order sides but the prices did add up. I would come back again to try other dishes but definitely on a slower day. read more

MAKE RESERVATIONS/CALL AHEAD FIRST! I was so eager to try this place after passing by a few times. We called ahead to see what the wait time was and were told it was about 30 minutes for a party of 2 on a Sunday morning. Once we got there we were told it was probably around 45 min. They took my number and we waited. What's good is that they use Yelp and you can follow a link texted to you and see how many parties are before yours and cancel if need be. We ended up waiting for about an hour before we were seated. My sister and I got their cold brew coffee which was pretty good! I got "The Works" omlette and cheese grits. I was so excited to see cheese grits on the menu since it's pretty rare I find. I've been looking for a good cheese grits place since I moved up from Virginia. The grits here were meh. Not bad but not that amazing. Unsure if I would get it again but I appreciate it being an option. The "The Works" omlette was delicious, however. The sausage in it was my favorite part. They have that casing that makes the sausage "snap" which is how I prefer it. My meal came with toast and the bread they use was also a favorite. If you like whole grain bread and like the textures of lots of grains like me, you'd enjoy it too. Service was okay. They were pretty packed so I don't fault the waitress for not being very available. They close at 2 on Sunday so I kinda got the feeling they were rushing us out (it was around 1 when we got our food). They gave us the check when our meals came out and after that, we had to flag the waitress down for napkins, take-out boxes, etc. I'd definitely come back but I can't stress enough to make reservations because waiting an hour while you're hungry is no fun. Being in close proximity to Turning Point, I'd say First Watch is better but if you're in more of a hurry at Turning Point you might get seater faster. Popular breakfast/lunch spot on Haddonfield road serving up delicious and fresh dishes that will you leave you feeling full due to their big portions. We got the lemon and ricotta pancakes, million dollar bacon, and summer crab omelet. You get two giant pancakes with lemon curd, strawberries and powdered sugar. The flavor in the pancakes was amazing, however the bottoms were a little burned and they were a bit dry. The million dollar bacon was pretty good. If you only like your bacon crispy this dish will not be for you. However, if you're not that picky the flavors will elevate the bacon to something delicious that you wouldn't normally take the time to do at home which makes each bit worth the it. The crab omelet was delicious and filled to the brim with crab, corn, and peppers. The crab was fresh and you cant go wrong with corn and peppers. The omelet itself was light and fluffy. The dish comes with toast and a small mixed green salad which is nice since some breakfast places just throw a greasy omelet on the plate. Aside from the minor issue with the pancake there wasn't anything negative about the visit. I'll definately be back soon to try the lunch menu. read more

Sunday brunch was a busy time so parking took a few extra minutes (surprising for a suburban restaurant) but overall wasn't bad. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and frittata rustica. Stopped in yesterday morning at their Moorestown location and enjoyed their endless coffee and the Pork Roll Sammy which included 3 slices of pork roll with cheese and a over semi-hard egg on a soft bagel with crispy fried potatoes on the side. Great choice and I brought half home because I ate half of my wife's waffle. She ordered their full breakfast which came with eggs, waffle, potatoes, and bacon. She enjoyed her meal and one of their special coffees. Very nice, clean, and spacious restaurant and we were seated near their fireplace which we enjoyed the warmth of it. Once we were finally seated, our waitress was good and our food was served but i ordered waffles and she never bought syrup over or checked on us so I had to track down another waitress after waiting for her trying to get her attention. This was the most peaceful place I've found in Cherry Hill thus far. Only been here for about 2 months but still. So I noticed when I walked up that there was seething outside. So I sat outside with no wait time. Around 130pm on a Saturday. Everything is or has a healthier option. Even when the coffee comes out there is silk milk on the table and stevia sugar. No other place around here does that so I thought it was a big deal. Coffee was delicious. I ordered the avocado toast. It has lemon zest in it I believe. Very delicious. Also I ordered a side of chicken sausage. They have options on sausage, like 3 different options but I don't remember what they all were. Unfortunately when I took my first bite, I was sadly disappointed as it was cold. I took another small bite and it took was cold. I beckoned what I believe was the manager asking if the bennies could be warned up. She seemed annoyed and indifferent but felt took the dish. When she brought it back it was still cold. Great first experience at this relatively new (2/2019) restaurant just off Rt 70. Check in with Yelp and avoid the lines! Although a franchise with locations along the east coast, it has the feel of a farm-to-table establishment with fresh food offerings and warm, country-style ambiance. Reminded me of Turning Point, if you're familiar with them. Ordered the Farmhouse Hash Skillet and the Belgian waffle with raspberry compote to share. The skillet composed of chunky seasoned potatoes covered with cheese, roasted tomatoes, sweet peppers, and onion with avocado and two poached eggs on top was delicious. The waffle with raspberry compote was a bit boring in presentation, but big on flavor. The waffle was softer than some places will serve it, which was nice. The staff was very welcoming with our waitress Tammy's friendly personality and happiness really adding to a great experience. Highly recommend! I have to say if you are in the south Jersey area first watch is definitely a must try. Weekends are always busy so make sure to reserve your place in line online ahead of time. Service was great I ordered the BLT eggs Benedict and I think the proportions were right for me not too heavy of meal. Another favorite must try is their elevated egg sandwich which is something I order all the time but this time I decided to try something new. I have been here multiple times with great service and food but I was disappointed today. Understand the covid precautions but we were asked at least 4 times to leave stating there was a 90minute limit to our stay. The server kept asking if we needed anything "hinting" that we should leave for others because there is a long line. We got our table at 09:10 and we were asked to leave starting at 10:00. Today I ordered the juice, and they gave me it in a KIDS cup that looks to be 8 oz. I asked why it was in a kids cup, and she said it's because I asked for light ice. I told her I was literally here 2 days ago and it was in the normal size cup like always. The food is amazing, the drinks from the fresh juice bar are great as well. However, every time I have been to first watch in cherry hill it is always unpleasant. Whether it's me sitting in or ordering out. Some of the hostess make you feel unwelcome here. One day I called in because the first watch app wouldn't allow take out orders so I decided to call and ask if I could place the order over the phone; the hostess quickly reply no all orders must be made in person then she just hung up on me. During this time, our server was nowhere to be seen, with the exception of dropping a refill 10 minutes into our wait time. This is the third time we come to this place, and is the most disappointing visit. The first time the quality and quantity of the food was on point, as well as the service. Today we had to wait approximately 1.5hrs to be sitted because the kitchen was running behind. We tried to understand and be patient as it is a Sunday at lunch time. We get sitted and the waitress serves us water and no straws. When I ask, they have ran out of straws. Fine, we get our coffee and again I remind you this is not our first visit, this coffee so strong and a lot more bitter than expected and I love coffee but I had to use 3 creamers to tone down the flavor. We ordered two Trifectas which consist of eggs, meat and waffle or pancake and this costs ~$11. I was served a tiny portion of eggs, small pieces of sausage links and a somewhat "medium sized" waffle. My boyfriend asked for the same with the chocolate chip pancakes and the million dollar bacon (p.s. sorry we didn't post a photo but after waiting ~2hrs we were starving). His pancake was almost as flat as paper and super small. We had to order an additional pancake which was actually the advertised sized. Keep in mind this additional pancake cost us ~$6 and you are telling me that what we got that wasn't even half of this pancake plus eggs and bacon should cost us $11?! Again the portions of eggs and meat were small. Also we decided to try their famous million dollar bacon and honestly for what they advertised, it's not worth the high price. It was indeed good but not like to die for good and I have definitely had better regular bacon. Our overall visit today was super disappointing but I will say this the quality taste of the food is really good and that is why I'm still giving the 3 stars even though our experience today was bad. read more
