My family and I visited this First Watch location recently, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We found a long, straight black hair embedded in one of the dishes. When we brought it to the server's attention, she seemed confused and didn't offer an apology. Instead, she mentioned that the people in the kitchen were men wearing hair nets. Which felt dismissive rather than helpful, especially since the server who brought out the food had straight hair and no hair net. Although they refunded the dish, no one apologized or acknowledged the issue properly. It left us feeling like our concern wasn't taken seriously. Mistakes happen, but how a restaurant handles them matters just as much. We expected a bit more accountability and respect. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

Wait times may seem long but let me tell you it's worth the wait. (The place is busy for a reason) Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and made us want to return and try many more items on the menu. The potatoes was love at first bite. I knew everything was going to be delicious based on just that. Sure enough the Elevated Egg Sandwich was just as mouthwatering as the description on the menu. Bright and cute space, fantastic service and food was so yummy. Husband and I were passing through town, first time at this place (I think it's a chain?). We got there before a big rush and got seated right away. Vibe was bustling and our server was super cheery. I ordered the Avocado Toast which was season perfectly and toast was toasted just like I like it (not too done and not still just a slice of bread). My only complaint was my eggs were undercooked. Husband had the French Toast and sausage. Hard to explain the French toast - it was amazing and not like others we have had. It had almost a creamy consistency. Cannot explain it but if you like French toast- order it here! Sausage was tasty too (pork). I had a mango drink - had ginger and green tea as well. Really tasty and the ginger did not overpower it. Happy to have first watch in the west valley. I was in town and this location was only ten mins away checked in online and when I arrived we were seated immediately. Ordered the morning meditation and water for starter. We wanted to order the million dollar bacon but was told they didn't have any and it would take about 45 mins to get. From ordering our food to getting our food served was about a 25 min wait. I would recommend to not go starving as the food does take some time. That's another good thing, I can come here multiple times because they do have seasonal items to keep me from getting bored. The servers have always been kind and the food comes out relatively quickly. One thing to note is that parking can get tight. Very noisy but not so much that you can't have a conversation. Inside was very clean and well lit. Our server Norma brought our drinks and gave us time to review the menu. We ordered- the Chickichanga, the Tri-afecta and a Monterey club and tomato basil soup. Although it was very busy, we did not have to wait long for our food. My son said the Chickichanga with million dollar potatoes were delicious. The chorizo was very good. My daughter in law had the Tri-Fecta and it was yummy. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the Belgian waffle was firm on the outside and soft inside and it came with a grape jam. I had the Monterey club and tomato basil soup. Best sandwich I've had in a long time. The ingredients were fresh and it was delicious. The soup was good but I've had better. For me, it had a little bitter taste. I will definitely return. We tried 3 cocktails Bloody Mary, Pomegranate Sunrise and Lavender Lemonade. All 3 had great flavors. Overall, everything was seasoned perfectly. If it had basil you could taste the basil. You could taste the lavender, the tang and spice of different items my husband and I shared. Even the regular coffee was really good. Daniela was our server she was attentive and informative about the menu. The front door is busy with people coming in and out. Caleb was at the front door he was professional and efficient guiding traffic and answering questions quickly to keep things moving. The Ciabatta bread, was so not toasted. I'm not a fan of pale toasted bread. If a place says they toast it, at the very least make it "look" toasted with some color. We also ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancake. It had a heavy topping of Lemon curd, and kind of messed with my head, because my hollandaise sauce was lemony. It all just became too savory. I didn't see an ounce of butter on the pancake and the pancake itself was kind of dry. If we ordered it again we would ask for butter, and the curd on the side. Tip: outside seating and Bar seating is first come first serve. No need to wait on the guest-list to eat in those areas. We will come again to try some other dishes. read more

My sister and her hubby raved about previous visits to this place, and so she was worried about being disappointed after a few years of not being able to go there. It did NOT disappoint. This was an amazingly well run operation, at least from a table point of view. We were seated immediately, and got our drinks quickly. The iced coffee was really great, as was the iced tea apparently. I had the breakfast tacos, without meat and my sister got the AM superfoods bowl- that had almond butter toast with a little Maldon sea salt on it. I had a taste and it was SO GOOD. My breakfast tacos with the potato side were great! The potatoes had yummy friend onion in them and the tacos had egg cheese and avocado.... Nothing wrong with any of those ingredients!! We were served quickly and had were checked on a few times. REally nice server- the staff seems to be really great. I have to say I was watching the staff here, and they were all very upbeat, smiled at each other as they were passing by, they were fast to clean up tables as they emptied and it was just generally a cohesive looking group. My husband and I eat at First Watch often, and have been to this location multiple times. The staff are always extremely friendly and attentive. The water is always cold and the coffee is always hot. We tried their new "Fresh Year, Fresh Food" Holey donuts, and they were very good. Not too sweet, and the berry sauce/chocolate dip went well with them. I ordered the BLT Eggs Benedict with a salad on the side this time, and my only negative criticism is that there were a LOT of leaves on the plate, with very little dressing, and the lemon dressing that goes on top of the Benedict didn't pair very well with the hollandaise sauce. Other than that, the eggs were poached well and the dish was filling. My husband ordered the Carne Asada Hash and loved it. He said the chorizo sprinkled on top was delicious, and finished most of his plate. It does get a bit loud in the establishment, and it's usually to the point where if there IS music playing, you couldn't hear it, or your server. It's not their fault though, lots of large parties come in for brunch, no matter the time of day or the day of the week. There are three gender neutral restrooms, one male restroom, and one female restroom, all single-stall and clean. I watched staff sanitize the high chairs routinely, and have never noticed any issues with cleanliness. I recommend this establishment for family and group brunches, and think it's great for both children and adults alike. read more

November 11, 7:30am I decided to take my mother out for Veterans Day. She looovveesssss breakfast and had a craving for First Watch... She knows that's my go to spot cause the waffles are the best!!! We both ordered the Trifecta hers with a pancake and mine with the waffle... When ordering I let my waitress know my I please not have powder sugar on my waffle and stated no problem. When breakfast arrived at the table my waffle was covered in powder sugar despite my request. I did let our server know about the mistake and she said no problem we'll make you a new one... I waited patiently for my plate to return and when it did I was READY to eat lol.... I enjoy eating my waffle with my hands and upon picking a piece up I see powder sugar residue allllll on the other side of my waffle... instead of making a fresh waffle they decided to brush off whatever sugar they could and flip my waffle over to hide the evidence. Like come on bruh.... It's THAT tight to make a new waffle profit vs loss is not high for a waffle remake. hypothetically speaking what if I was allergic to something and it was placed on my food. Would the staff just pick it off and hope I survive. What made it even worse the manager was in the back as well so idk if certain instructions were given to our waitress or she decided to take matters into her own hands. This was my second time at first watch. First time was good minus the fly by the window. Today was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to go here for a late breakfast. We waited not too long for a table. Our server female, wasn't very friendly, the ketchup was empty, salt and pepper were empty the Cholula was empty. Our server made it seem like we were an inconvenience being there. The food this round was not very good. When we went to pay the bill the cashier walked away and came back. She did ask about the service. I let her know it was ok. She was nice. We still left a nice tip for the server, as we all have to work but maybe pay a little more attention to your customers and maybe acknowledge that we exist.
