Do you fancy having breakfast for lunch? We do, and so we did. This Aurora, CO, location of First Watch is just right for dining for us. Eight to ten minutes by car and you are there. Because it was a weekday and about one o'clock, there was no wait to be seated. Reminder, they close at 2:30pm, but open at 7:00am. Although the avocado toast with egg is a favorite, I felt like an omelette today. I chose the one with the most stuff inside, called The Works. Overflowing pieces of bacon and ham, along with nicely sautéed cremini mushrooms were visible on the sides. It was topped with tomato pieces and a dab of sour cream. On the side was a nice, fresh mixed green salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing. The toast is almost the best part. A thick slice of whole grain/whole wheat bread was toasted to just the right amount. The crust is complete with oat flakes stuck to it. My husband chose the frittata with smoked salmon. It, too, had plentiful pieces showing out the sides. The dressed mixed green salad was the perfect accompaniment. A slice of crusty toast was on the side. All in all, our server, Star, was efficient and very pleasant. We learned that she took a transfer with the company from Texas to our Mile High area. Good choice, Star. No doubt, we will return to the restaurant in the very near future. read more

First time here and yaaassss I loved it!! It's so cute in here. They have fresh juices I had the kale tonic and omg yuuuuum!!! Had "The Works" omelette minus the ham and I loved that too!! Came in today to meet with an old friend who we hadn't seen each other for a while. Our server was very pleasant to start although he had 4-5 large hickeys down the right side of his neck. Food was good and company was good. After we were done eating the server came over and told us ppl were waiting and stared at us until we finally took our conversation outside. I never knew there was a time limit on how long you could be there. And honestly was not there for long we just did not order big meals. Disappointed with todays service. read more

I was so excited when my friend suggested getting First Watch carry out for my birthday brunch. I had heard nothing but great things! When I got to her house she was bummed because I had asked for their smoked salmon Benedict and they told her we don't do Benedict's for carry out. Even though she had just ordered carry out Benedict's from them the week prior with no problems! I too became bummed because Benedict's are my fav brunch and I had read great things about theirs! So I had to come up with a secondary option, biscuits and gravy. Big portion and quite tasty! So even though I didn't get to try their Benedict's for my birthday, the biscuits and gravy ended up being a great secondary choose. This is my 2nd time in and both times service is very poor. I thought maybe the first time was just a mishap but this is the second time I've waited over 10 minutes just for a server to ask if I even want water. They sat me and my wife down and no has said they will be with us or offered water or anything. Food is good which is why we came the second time and decent price but waiters just look at us like no one knows who is supposed to be helping us. This is a definite must try! They have the freshest ingredients and which make for the most flavorful meals. The citrus dressing on the avocado chicken salad was so refreshing. The chicken was juicy and the portions were generous. My boyfriend got the French toast and I tried some of the jam it came with. It was tart and packed a delicious punch. The hubster and I were visiting from CA and tried this spot on a Saturday. It was busy but still got great service. I had the market hash with a Pineapple Express (juice drink) hubby got the farmers hash with coffee. It was so good, we actually went here again the next day! The next day I had avocado toast with morning meditation (juice drink) and he got the same as the day before. I guess he liked it or something. Drink: Pineapple Express and Morning Meditation: refreshing and delicious! Next time I'd probably order without agave. Market hash: I'd order again! It had great texture, and taste. The toast it came with was some multigrain that was really good! Farmers hash: clearly, he's a fan. I tasted it too and it was great. It has bacon, which is always a gamble because you never know if you're going to get the gross flimsy limp bacon, or the good stuff. I'm very particular about my bacon! Their bacon was delicious! Avocado toast: was ok. It looked amazing but not sure if they used too much lemon or what. It tasted slightly off like they keep their avocados in water in the fridge. Stopped in for breakfast. It was pretty good! I hadn't been to this new location since they opened so it was time to try them out. I tried the French toast and bacon and hubby had a Benedict on ciabatta bread I think. Which is not the form he likes (Benedict's are best on English muffins honestly). It was ok, the sauce was good but didn't love the ham. The French toast was ok, the huge bread just immediately soaks up the syrup so it makes it soggy and being a texture eater that's not my cup of tea and just leaves me feeling grossed out. The staff were all nice and attentive and the restaurant did well with all the social distancing and mask guidelines. I'm sure we'll be back again and may try some other food next time. read more

This has got to be the fanciest breakfast/lunch spot in Aurora, and LOTS of room, which is really nice with the social distancing rules right now. There's also a huge, sunny patio. Loved the modern barn décor. I picked the carrot cake pancake and my partner got french toast. He decidedly won breakfast that morning - that french toast was KILLER! The flavor was good on my pancakes but I found the chunky texture a little off-putting... the walnuts were expected but instead of incorporating the carrot into the batter it was shredded pieces of carrot and there were also unexpected raisins (a plus for me but a pretty controversial ingredient to not mention on the menu). Prices are a little on the high side but I'd say for the portions and quality of the food, it's a good value. Looking forward to a lunch visit - the Pick Two menu looks really good. read more

First watch is an amazingly delicious, well needed upgrade to the neighborhood's breakfast scene. Sam's No. 3 and Dozens are going to have a run for their money. We stopped in here a couple of weekends ago. It was nice and early, so we beat the rush. It definitely caught up with us before we were done eating though. Go early. We had pancakes and a chickichanga along with their house coffee and some fresh squeezed orange juice. I can say that everything seemed fresh. The pairing of ingredients might sound strange. You just have to roll with it. It's freaking great. The staff was nice. Service was quick, but they weren't rushing to get you out of the door either. That's good. Don't make me plow through my breakfast if I'm not ready. We will be back! read more

I have been here twice in the past two months and both times there have been an issue. Kitchen backed up, machine to run credit cards isn't working, food burnt. I love the ones in Broomfield and on Yosemite and this one is closest to my house but I won't go again. Today we went and sat at the bar for an early lunch. Woman at the bar was more interested in checking her phone and seemed surprised when we asked for water and soda refills. I love the food but this place can do better. read more
