Whoever came up with that menu item alone needs recognition, and of course the chefs who prepare them. The chef and kitchen staff need to take pride in their crafts because what I also had another time was the chicken quinoa bowl. This new First Watch location in the Perimeter area has been open for less than a month, and we've been here twice already. It's in the new Perimeter Marketplace shopping center. Parking is currently easy to find, but this may change as more businesses start to open. The restaurant is inviting and open with many windows that allow for lots of natural light. Tables and booths are spaced well and customers will not feel cramped at this location. A bar is at the rear of the restaurant, and a covered outdoor patio lets customers enjoy dining al fresco on the side and behind the restaurant. During both times we've been here, the service has been great and attentive. The food that I've had, the Frittata Rustica and the Avocado Toast, were also excellent and had great presentation. The food at this First Watch is always so good. It looks like they've changed how they scramble their eggs, which is great. Before it was like they let the egg cook for a bit before they started to scramble it, which meant you ended up with a lot of egg whites in it. Now they look like "true" scrambled eggs. This place has been on my list for quite a while. Finally I got to try it! I went on a Saturday morning, I joined waitlist and was seated upon arrival. My server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict w/ side of fruit. It was so good and very filling. It came with two quesadillas made birria style with poached eggs and salsa on top. The server let me substitute the black beans for fruit. For my drink I ordered the purple haze which is lavender lemonade. I would definitely recommend this breakfast restaurant. This First Watch location opened this week. I had never been to First Watch before. There are a lot of options on the menu. They serve breakfast and lunch with a variety of sides. The freshly made drinks were delicious. Morning Meditation is the orange and red drink with orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet. Purple Haze is a lavender tea. The French toast, waffle, and pancakes are all very large servings, enough for two meals. The fresh fruit and berry compote served with the French toast were the perfect accompaniments. The staff were all nice, attentive and with great energy. There is outdoor and indoor seating with lots of parking located in the shopping center. First Watch is a first with me! I find their food offerings to be great, even for people who need gluten free. Went on a recent Sunday, were quickly seated. One of the party was late, so the server, Kaelyn, brought coffee while we waited. Couldn't have been nicer. When the last person arrived, Kaelyn gave us time to look over the menu, came back in a reasonable time, took our order, which was cooked and presented well. I'll start off by saying I love first watch. I've been to several locations from Atlanta to Charlotte and aside from getting dirty silverware once or twice I've never had a issue with service. This location was different. We came in on 9/3/23 at 2pm. The restaurant was very hot inside so we wanted to sit at the outdoor bar. When we walked over the entire bar was covered with dirty plates. We made eye contact with the bartender and she pretended we weren't there. After going to the host stand and letting them know the bar was completely filthy she went over to check and came back to tell us the bartender is busy and will get to it when they could. (Only 3 people at the inside bar at the time) so while we wait to get a table the other host goes over to talk to the one person sitting outside for over 10 minutes; without offering to clear ANY of the plates up. And neither did the bartender. It made me feel as though she left the bar dirty so she didn't have to serve us with it close to closing. I hate feeling like my presence is a burden especially in a service environment; and that's what this bartender made me feel like. Anyways after getting a table, Tiffany, our server was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. She was the highlight of our visit. I got the breakfast tacos and they were as great as they always are. Highly recommend. Tiffany even got us one of the skillets that wasn't on their menu made! (Parma skillet). Tiffany is the only reason this location even got 2 stars. I keep trying this location but it's an epic fail every time. We waited TEN minutes to be greeted by any hostess. In fact, I don't even think there was one working. And by the way, there were four other couples behind us also waiting to check in for a table. Then, after getting seated, we got coffee and water pretty quickly, but no silverware no napkins couldn't stir the coffee. Had to ask someone for napkins. When I asked a guy for napkins, he did not even look at me. He didn't even acknowledge me as if he had headphones on ...so I went and sat down and then he finally brought me a stack of napkins, but seeing we had coffee on the table failed to bring silverware. Finally asked for silverware we got it waitress comes. She was fine. However, once the food came, the eggs were not runny as asked and were hard as a rock so I asked for a runny egg and it took 15 minutes to come ....so by the time the eggs came, my food was cold. I ordered half of an avocado on the side, Online in the picture It is shown looking super cute with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds all over it. And I paid basically 3 dollars for 3 baby slices of avocado with no fancy pumpkin seeds :( Then I asked for a quick Bloody Mary with bacon just as a pick me up and it was a pretty sad bloody. The bartender slash host didn't have the full bar ready so, there were no celery, carrots, celery, pickles. Just literally one poor piece of bacon on a stick and a half glass of tomato juice. She said she mixed it. But when I show y'all this picture of my 10 dollar Bloody Mary, you will see. Overall, my experience was not very special. today i called ahead and placed a pickup order at the dunwoody first watch, all i ordered was an AM superfoods bowl with a blueberry muffin instead of the toast. the lady on the phone said it would be ready in 5 minutes. it took me about 25 minutes to arrive to that specific first watch but when i got there i still had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my order. i pay for my order and leave - when i arrive home i start to eat the muffin and there was something sharp inside - i now have a bump on my tongue from biting into it. i proceeded to discard the muffin and try to indulge in the chia seed pudding. immediately when i open the container there is a foul/sour smell, as well as a layer of purple liquid floating above the actual pudding. i pour out the liquid to see that the pudding is expired and curdled it looked like cottage cheese and smelled like straight sour milk. i have been getting this meal for years (it was the first time getting it from this location) and it has NEVER looked like this nor has this ever happened before. i immediately called the store and she was very rude. i return to the store to get my refund (no other accommodation or apologies were offered) and she tried to argue with me that there was nothing wrong with it. be VERY careful coming to this first watch, i am extremely concerned with how unfazed they were by this event, DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION read more

I'm sorry there isn't a star that conveys "horrific in every way," but there isn't so I had to settle for "not good," which is an understatement in every possible way. The host staff were just plain mean and seemed very put upon when we came in to put our name down for a 45-minute wait. This is the second time I've had a horrible experience, encountering the same nasty hostesses and manager I met my first time out, but I decided to give it a second try just in case it was an anomaly. Well, no, it was no anomaly. I have to wonder if First Watch corporate offers their staff any kind of customer service training because the staff and especially the manager just couldn't have been uglier. Unfriendly, unhappy, unaccommodating...every "un" there is. Thank goodness for our waitress, Isabelle, who was lovely and was most accommodating. The food here is just not good enough and life is just too short to eat at this restaurant which gives Dunwoody a bad name. Will never go back and can only say, buyer beware. read more
