Above average, hidden jewel. It is on the lower level of a shopping center on Roswell Road. You will need to drive up in and down in to see it on the corner of the building. Once there, there is a group of people who know it well as it seems to have a crowd of regular smegulars. Great place to bring a friend or 2 and have lunch or the laptop and do a zoom meeting or catchup on some work with some authentic food. They even have desserts. I noticed a few people come in and just get something sweet and leave. I had planned to get my food to go but the atmosphere was so inviting that sat and stayed awhile. Food is good but it may not fit everyone's flavor palette. Salad and sandwich is safe if that is the case. Everything is made to order so it may take a minute to get your custom order out to you. This is not McDonalds but better. Come Cafe'.

Bonjour Croissant (ham, egg and cheese)
Michel S.

This place has great croissants and pastries. I was here yesterday and purchased 2 chocolate croissants and they were on point. Because of it, I had to come back today and try their breakfast. I had the bonjour croissants and I added the ham. It normally comes with egg and cheese and I added the meat with a side of roasted red potatoes which they were very tasty. They have lots of options for pastries and they all look delicious. The service is good and mostly self service but they do pick up after you. The restaurant was clean and the best part was the openness and all the windows to allow the natural light to come in. If it is early in the morning and not very hot or cold, have a seat outside and enjoy nature.

Food was amazing, staff is very very kind and patient. Really nice ambiance to get work done. I was here for a about 1.5hrs and had absolutely no problems, got all my work done on my laptop. Highly recommend

Tuna French sandwich and French toast with eggs
Luz L.

The food was so flavorful and delicious, the bread was soft and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. I tried my friend's French toast and it was so fluffy and sweetened just right without having to put any syrup. The service was fast and staff were very friendly and polite. The sit down area is open and clean with beautiful natural light coming in. I will be coming here more often. This is honestly a hidden gem I'm glad I discovered.

Chai Latte

Some of the best croissants I've had in the States. Great chai latte, not too sweet like some places make it. Ambience is really pretty and cozy, would love to bring a book here to read. I will try the entrees next time.

A terrible croque madame and a mediocre ham and cheese sandwich.
Allen B.

We had bought pastries from here before, so we decided to come back by for lunch. I ordered the croque madame. For those who don't know, a croque monsieur and croque madame need to be made extremely specifically to be even close to authentic. A croque monsieur is a sandwich with ham, a cream béchamel sauce, and cheese - typically a gruyere or similar. The sandwich is then topped with more béchamel and cheese, then broiled to melt and brown the cheese. It's creamy, savory and cheesy. A croque madame is exactly the same with an egg on top, typically sunny side up or over easy. What Café Vendôme served me what not, by any stretch of the imagination, a croque madame. The sandwich I was given had clearly never been near a béchamel sauce. What this sandwich had on it was ham and a tiny pinch of shredded cheese (mozzarella I think), then more cheese on top, then topped with an egg that somehow managed to be nearly burnt on the bottom and raw on top. I was immensely disappointed in this. However, I cannot give this 1 star because while it was no croque madame, the ham and cheese sandwich I got was edible. The bread was fine, the cheese was fine, the ham was fine. I ate it, but I wasn't happy with it. My verdict -- get the pain au chocolat, avoid the croques.

Spent $14 for only 2 items. This was my first time coming here and I got to say that it was calm and welcoming, but the price and taste were not there for the food and drinks. Didn't live up to the Paris Standards _________________________________________________________ PARKING | [Parking was easy to find, even in a small complex building. The address will take you straight to the location and soon as you find the building, there should be plenty of spots to choose from; either in front of the building or in the open lots.] _________________________________________________________ EXTERIOR & INTERIOR | [The exterior of the building is in a small convenient shopping complex and is a little hidden in the back area (wish they were in the open more near the highway). Soon as you see the building, it is hard to miss the big red sign which is their logo. Soon as you walk in, the decor is pretty catered to the more urban, Paris look, which is what they are going for. They have plenty of seating to choose from whether it is inside or outside seating. You have some seating for comfort, traditional, or even bar style.] _________________________________________________________ IS IT CLEAN? | [For the most part, I have not seen a dirty spot anywhere in the store. It was pretty clean when I walked in and walked out.] _________________________________________________________ FOOD & DRINKS | [Here comes the important part which you want to note. The food and drink was delicious and it was good. However, for the price of $14 worth of just two items, which was pretty insane, it wasn't all that great or different from any other place. It was honestly a little disappointing that the chocolate croissant didn't live up for to the standard of its high price value of proximity $4-5. It was lacking the chocolate and croissant combination because it seemed like they wedge only two chocolate pieces in the croissant and just focused on baking the breading than focusing on the taste texture and uniqueness of the chocolate croissant. Now for the Almond Latte which was probably the more higher value item on the board which is around $8-9. For a coffee that is smooth, it was basic with no care. The latte should come with some ideal flavor or hit to give you a wow spectacular, but however, it tasted no different than a coffee that you would get at your local market. The foam on the latte is key to its success, even with design, but it didn't have the success nor design to live up to its standard. Coffee is the highlight of my day and if I am not satisfied by at least the coffee, then it has not gained my respect. When comes to a cafe, the coffee (at least) should be designed, tampered, and developed with care and respect, but however, this coffee was not given any respect at all.] _________________________________________________________ SERVICE ‍‍| [The service was quick and simple to the point.] _________________________________________________________ OVERALL | [Would I recommend this place? Only if you are wanting to see the interior of the building. For something that is so basic and has no spark, it is disappointing to the least that the shop doesn't put care into their coffee, more or less, create a memorable experience with their food. For a store that incorporates a more Paris -Style cafe, it is not the Paris-style cafe you are going to hope for.]

Chocolate Almond Croissant
Carlie M.

Came here last week to pick up a croissant to go. I came in around 1pm. It wasn't too crowded and I was able to order quickly. A lot of the pastries were sold at this point in the day. I got the chocolate almond croissant to go. It was a bit pricey, but most pastries and croissants are these days. It was a large croissant! And very tasty. I warmed it up when I got home. I'd like to return to try their breakfast and coffee as well!

We tried this place 3x. Once for pastry pickup for a get together with friends, that was the only good experience we had at Cafe V. The other 2 visits were not good. #1 coffee drinks are ordinary (given the price) ... look, I don't mind paying a high price for quality but if it isn't, that's just disappointing. Plus, we've been to France and are familiar with what they serve. On both occasions our food was substandard...he ordered breakfast each time...no good. The servers didn't seem to care either. I had a direct view of the kitchen, where I could see the workers eating and then plating the guests meals ... yikes!!! Which didn't make for an appetizing scene at all!!! Can you imagine??? I had only ordered a pastry during that visit ... still made me a little queasy. This is an honest assessment of my three visits ... perhaps yours will be different (I hope so). I really wanted this to be my go-to place and had high hopes. :-(

Iced matcha
Gwen P.

First thing I thought of when we sat down is it reminded me of a hotel lobby cafe, but some people had their laptops out working so I guess it's a good place to study or do work. The drinks: Latte was decent. Matcha latte was not great, but should've known to not order a matcha latte at a French-style cafe. The food: we got 3 tartelettes, 1 croque monsieur (not pictured), a hot latte, and an iced matcha. I wish I'd taken a pic of the croque monsieur bc it was the saddest sandwich for $15 I've seen in awhile. The bread was super thin and the cheese melted on top seemed super artificial. There wasn't much meat in the sandwich either. The tartelettes were alright. The best one was probably the almond one on the top left bc it had a raspberry jam inside it. All in all, we spent $50+ at this place and regretted it. Maybe if you want a coffee and a quick pastry this is a fine place to stop by. But otherwise, nope.

The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I do not have a picture of that because it was eaten before I got a chance to take a picture of it. But everything was so tasty absolute perfection. The sea salt on top was chef's kiss. The lines move pretty fast. There's nowhere to sit and lounge, so you would need to take these pastries elsewhere to enjoy. The staff is also really nice and patient when my friend and I were trying to decide on pastries. Overall, I think these pastries would do good in an air fryer/oven. I would come back, but bring the pastries home to warm and crisp them up a bit. I also really want to try their burger which is only sold on the weekend at certain times!

I was told to get here by 12:30pm because they serve the burgers at 1pm and the line gets long and they run out. Found out later in line from the person in front of me that they make 130-170 burgers and they sell them all. That's a lot of burgers. I thought it was all hype because I got there at 12:20pm and there was no line. I went in and asked to make sure this was the right place, the guy said to wait outside, they start selling it at 1pm. I was 1st in line. Waited 5 mins then went to my car to get my headphones. By the time I came back, 3 people were now in front of me. I guess the 12:30pm recommendation was valid. By 12:35pm there were 20 people behind me. I do not like waiting, so I'm glad I was early to at least be served 1st. Never been here before, they are busy. When I got here, it was packed with people buying bread and pastries inside. I didn't get to buy the sourdough bread. It was sold out. Apparently, the locals come every Sunday for this burger. I guess they hang a burger flag out when it's burger time some of the people in the line in front of me felt a way that they didn't do that this time. I guess they're getting comfortable and just trying to knock the rush/crowd out. I think coming at one would be fine if they're selling 170 burgers I think the problem is they don't limit the amount of burgers you can buy. At least I don't think so. Now for this burger. Not worth it. Not worth the wait or the hype. I'm still surprised how basic tasted. They need a housemate sauce or something on it. It's literally just one burger and pickles. If it was pack full of flavor and well seasoned, that would be enough. But it's not. The best part about it is the bun. And 30mins after eating the burger, I didn't feel so good. My stomach started hurting, and that was the only thing I ate all day. I avoid eating beef altogether, but I will here and there as of late. My boyfriend eats beef, but he started feeling sick maybe an hour later as well. I was disappointed because I didn't know they pre-make the burgers and just throw them in the bag. You can't customize it or anything. I think we got sick because the burgers were medium. They were not cooked well, and I always get beef burgers cooked all the way through. The way they're rushing you out of there like an express assembly line is crazy. I really wanted to wait to ask them to prepare me two, made well since they were making burgers as they were going along, I believe. I would have waited to have them made well but the way they were rushing you out, it just wasn't the place to ask for anything extra or additional and I don't like places like that. Too strict too many rules and you don't feel comfortable. Even though you're spending $70 on 2 burgers and some pastries. Compared to a pack of ground beef to make your own burgers, this is a lot. I bought two burgers $17 each, and 5 pastries to try because I won't be coming back here anytime soon. I will say, great pastry selection. I was talking to a guy in line and I asked him if he ever had the kouign amann. It looked good. He said yes, it was good, and the chocolate kouign amann, he's going to try as well. I purchased a chocolate kouign amann, a regular kouign amann, cardamom bun, a hazelnut bun, and monkey bread. I wrote everything down outside that I was going to buy so I didn't waste any time. I already spotted the monkey bread when I walked in. The woman packaging up the food was about to fix her face to say they didn't have any monkey bread, when they were clearly at the other end. Maybe that was her doing me a favor because I was highly disappointed in the monkey bread. I'm on a monkey bread kick, and I have been trying it at a lot of places. This one was not good. They sprinkle lemon zest on it, which kind of threw me off, and the bread itself was very dry even after warming it up, adding melted butter and honey. It still was not good. The best thing was the original kouign amann. The chocolate one was not good because they have chocolate on the inside kind of like moose or ganache, but it was overwhelming. It tasted like dark cocoa chocolate, and I thought the pastry was dark because the whole thing was chocolate, but it actually was burnt. A lot of the items looked burnt to be honest. I think the demand is getting to this place. The cardamom bun was just ok. The hazelnut bun was just an extension of the monkey bread to me. Not a fan. I remember growing up, we went to the local butcher and bakery to get fresh meat, bread, and pastries for cheap. I like the idea of a local bakery and butcher shop like this, but this place is not cheap. I'd skip this one.

For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!
