Excellent Roadside & Towing Service…read more The roadside and towing service was super quick. Technician and driver Mirwaais was efficient, and extremely professional. He arrived right on time, within the hour, calling 15 minutes before arrival. He brought a clean flatbed tow vehicle for my SUV and handled everything quickly. Communications were clear, the work to secure vehicle on top of the flatbed was swift, and he was on his way to service dealer. I definitely recommend their service to anyone looking for reliable and professional roadside service or towing help!

The bad, my situation: About a week ago, I found myself stuck in San Jose with a broken down truck…read more I have AAA Road Service, and I called them for help. I was told that the estimate for a tow driver was 240 minutes. If we're doing the math, that's four hours. I was unhappy, but I had to get to Dublin which was a distance. Apparently the issue was getting someone to accept a call to come 27 miles to come and get me. Every 30 minutes I called them for an update, and every time I called it was a different story. First it was no one would except the call for the distance, then it was someone was dispatched and they were waiting for an update, then there was no driver again. I ended up waiting four an a half hours. Why did I wait this long, because I was trying to give them a chance and I was trying to avoid the cost of a commercial driver. The good, my solution; I finally pulled the trigger and decided to call for a commercial tow, knowing that I could get reimbursed by AAA (which takes at least 30 days, by the way, for a service that I pay for that they were unable to provide for me). I found Santa Rita Tow. Jake was the on-call driver that night, and I told him it I knew it was a longshot, but would he be willing to come to San Jose to pick me up. Less than five minutes later he had agreed to it, given me my price, and I saw him about 35 minutes later. He was extremely professional, very personable, and just really nice. It was such a pleasure to have a pleasant ride home after such a rotten day. I'm very grateful for this company, and if my truck should need it again, these guys will be the first ones I call. I highly recommend this company!

Thank you Jonathan!…read more I've invested lots of money into my car; from one-off body work, suspension, exhaust, lighting, etc. I'm extremely meticulous about who works with or around my car. And while it's only a car, its my car. I ran into an incident over the weekend that left me on the side of Highway 24. I called my insurance company and they contacted their contracted company, American Tow. I was met by a gentlemen with a flat-bed truck. Knowing full-well that some tow companies won't even look at your vehicle if its lowered, I became weary. Fast forward to a few short moments later and my car is on the back of this flatbed, with not any close instance of trouble. I was impressed (as well as relieved!). Jonathan was able to get my car into my garage, bypassing my short 3ft, steep driveway, without issue. I couldn't be more pleased with his services and tact. Would definitely use him/his company again.

Please save time, money, and your sanity by avoiding American Tow in Martinez, Concord, Pleasant…read moreHill, etc. If you've had your car towed, it's frustrating, expensive, upsetting, all of the above. And the last thing you want on top of everything else is to confront an unprofessional, disrespectful, and discombobulated towing company who doesn't know their own addresses or phone numbers. Because of their "miscommunications," we spent spent nearly $100 in Ubers trying to find their unmarked tow yard and offices with incorrect addresses. After nearly 3 hours, we finally located their building (thanks to the CHP). I explained our experience to VANESSA, the secretary with the blue in her hair, about our customer experience and expressed we were very unsatisfied customers and had never had such a poor customer-service experience. While sitting in the lobby, I told my boyfriend I refused to pay for another Uber and it was up to the company to provide an ounce of customer service. Immediately I hear Vanessa start yelling from behind me. "You know what, now you're really starting to annoy me. I didn't get your car towed, YOU DID. NOT ME. YOU GOT YOUR CAR TOWED! THIS IS ON YOU." Her mocking / shaming me continued for about 15 seconds until I was able to get my phone and begin filming her. She stopped immediately. I will be taking this to higher management with a formal complaint, but also wanted to warn my fellow Martinez neighbors of this company, and be sure to make it a point to avoid that particular office in Martinez.

At the time I didn't know what the exact fix would be, especially since my vehicle (Polestar 2) is relatively new to the EV market, but Arslan came with the experience and patience, troubleshooted the issue, and got my EV running again in no time. S&A was actually the second tow truck company that came out on the service call; the first tow truck company was just going to tow my car without diagnosing it first. I'm thankful to S&A Towing (and Arslan) for not only doing the job asked of them, but also going above and beyond to do it correctly.

They did an absolutely beautiful job--the repaired area looks brand new! I'm somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to my cars, and I have to say, this shop exceeded my expectations. The quality of their work was exceptional. Angel, the shop manager (and if he's not the manager, he should be!), provided outstanding customer service. He went above and beyond to help us with the repair, and his dedication to making sure everything was taken care of was truly appreciated. The repair was originally expected to take eight days, but to my surprise, they had it completed in just five days! They even detailed the car and cleaned the inside of the windshield, which was a wonderful finishing touch. This will definitely be my go-to shop for any future repairs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship and exceptional customer service!

I have never yelped before but Allen's Automotive deserves this…read more I have had an 84 Chevy step side truck with a carburetor for over 25 years and she has always been VERY tempermental. My check engine light came on over a year ago when I was living elsewhere and I had it checked at the time and the mechanic said it was nothing major. Then the time came to get it smoged Jan.31st...I had my mechanic that comes to my house over about 20 times checking this and that and it would never give a code telling us what needs to be fixed. I called DMV and spoke to a very knowledgeable man that told me it is usually just a few things to look for first. Then we took it to a friend of my mechanics that has a shop and he got the wiring information for my truck and went through ALL the wiring finding nothing wrong. I called DMV back because now 3 months later we still can not find the problem. He gave me the name of the CAP program shops in Livermore. I called the first two and both did not seem to want to deal with all the paperwork and one referred me to the Chevy dealership...NO. Very stressed. Third time's a charm! I called Allen's Automotive on N. K St. off Railroad Ave. and spoke with Jeff and after talking to him he sounded like the right man for my girl (old school) and he said to bring it down in a couple of hours. I told Jeff what had been checked already and OMG within 10 minutes he said the connector to the computer in the glove box area has metal connectors that are bent and need to be straight and then test each wire connector to make sure they are working. I said why don't we just replace the connector? Jeff said for about $2500.00, but it does not need to be replaced. Jeff said he could do it for 1 hour of labor $130.00. Right, $130.00 sound much better than $2500.00. I made an appointment for a couple of days later and drove home happy for the first time in months. I came back at 10am and Jeff fixed and tested the connector and all wires and then checked for a code and finally it said throttle position sensor!!! I have never been so happy to find something wrong with her. I then got a quote for replacing the throttle position and gasket for 1 hour labor again and then he tested the throttle position and showed me the test and explained the squiggle lines means its bad and a straight line would have meant its good. Both times I was there Jeff explained in detail what he was doing and how it all works together: air, fuel, gas pedal, etc. It was also hesitating on take off. He used specific words when speaking and not just "the part or this or that". He spent about 4 hours and only charged me for the original quoted amount of $130.00!! Honest. And the shop is like an oasis, so clean everywhere, bays, office and bathroom with beautiful potted plants everywhere outside and a seating area in the shade with benches and table so bring your lunch and a book while waiting. The front desk and everyone there is very friendly and nice.
