My car after the repair, which took 5 days.
    Navin K.

It's never fun when one has to take a beloved vehicle in for repair, but if you take it to Chilton, you will likely leave a happy customer, like I did. Three things stood out for me in my recent experience: 1. Prompt same day response from Stacey Garcia when I came in for a repair estimate. The estimate was competitive with offers I received from other repair shops in the area. 2. Repairs were scheduled quickly, finished on time, and regular text updates were provided, plus Stacey called me a couple of times as well. 3. Isaac worked on my car repair and it was flawless, plus he did it $200 below budget. What more can you ask for? Thank you Stacey, Isaac, and the Chilton team for taking care of us.

I had a small dent on my bumper. They were able to fix it without changing the bump and did a great job can't even tell.

The bad news is that plastic deforms too much from a collision, you can't just massage it back to shape with a hair dryer. Also, who knows if anything else on the car behind the plastic is damaged or out of alignment. California Collision came to the rescue and was able to replace my bumper cover, have it painted, and then recalibration done for the various car sensors to eliminate fault codes. Even minor collisions can cause sensors to be faulty, so don't assume it's a cosmetic thing and try to cut corners and get your vehicle repaired properly. The job took a few hours one day to paint match, then a separate full day to install, recalibrate, and test drive the vehicle to ensure bo more fault codes. George was extremely friendly and transparent with the repair process. He even gave me a tour of his shop and explained the workflow. Its a family business as his son and daughter also work here. He obviously values work-life balance and is closed Friday-Sunday. Body Shops are not cheap but if you need a thorough repair and want things done right, I highly recommend California Collision. If paying out of pocket, use a debit card with a high spend limit to avoid credit card fees.

Don't do that. After I wisely had my car towed home instead, I took a deep breath, talked to my regular mechanic, and he recommend I send it to George at California Collisions. This was a very good choice. George and his staff did the grueling work of haggling with the insurance company, multiple times, over weeks. He also did an excellent job reconstructing my vehicle within the constraints of the insurance coverage. I got my adventure wagon back in good-as-new condition. Customer service and communication were excellent. About 15,000 miles later the rebuild has been tested and proven. Happy to support and rep this business.

Very communicative throughout the process - texts, phone calls. Someone always answered the phone. The woman at the front desk was always so kind to my young kids and gave them stickers. And then my car -- WOW. I truly felt like I got a new car. Not only the actual work they did on the outside of the car -- the paint looked beautiful, it really looked brand new, but also they detailed the inside of my car, which I was not expecting at all. I was actually embarrassed because the inside of my car was quite messy. They deep cleaned the cup holders, managed to get the make up stain that's been on my steering wheel for years off, and even got the melted crayon out of the backseat door handles that my kids like to store things in... Truly top of the line service in every way. I will never go anywhere else.

After my car was inspected, I didn't hear any follow up for 2 weeks. I had to call the office to find out the person inspected my car was out on family emergency. However, nobody in office knows who was his customers. They also couldn't find the pictures he took. I then worked with Sharlene, whom asked me to go to the shop the second time to take pictures of the damage. After taking pictures, Sharlene said she would order the parts needed for the repair and scheduled me for dropping off the car in another 2 weeks. 3 days before that drop off appointment I called the office to check the status, they couldn't find my appointment! I asked to speak with Sharlene on the phone, she said they're too busy to check the status of the parts. I then called the headquarters and the lady contacted the location and told me that "we actually have to take it apart and then order the parts." So, apparently Sharlene didn't order any parts for my repair and she made me wasted another additional 2 weeks waiting. After one month of waiting and visited the shop two time to get pictures taken, nothing has been done. This repair store doesn't value customer's time and the staffs are very irresponsible. I am taking my car to different shop. I am also disappointed for this kind of business practice exists in the area.

I'm still in the beginning stages of the repair process, but based on the experience I've had so far, I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone, especially Tesla owners. They took the time to listen, help, gave me personal advice, and made a stressful situation feel much more manageable.

"Owner Paints Horse Trailer, Sleeps in Trailer to Confirm Quality"…read more The owner of this business insists upon top-quality. It doesn't matter if it's a car, boat, plane, or horse trailer. However, Mark does not like to paint locomotives. Anyway, this horse trailer was destined to become a mobile bar. Yes I know that sounds odd, but that's the gospel truth. Naturally if you want to convert your horse trailer to a bar, it must be impeccable. So when Mark painted this trailer, he had to be positive there were no drips. I mean, just imagine if you were guzzling a beer and paint drops started plopping from the ceiling. That would be no fun! Plus it would add an unknown flavor to your beer. So of course, Mark had no choice but to sleep in the horse trailer. That way he could be positive there were no paint drips or drops. (Sleeping in a horse trailer is like going to a YMCA Camp, but without the archery.) I hear Mark's wife was not pleased with this turn of events, but the customer always comes first. That's just the type of man he is. I have known the owner of this business for years. He is a person of great integrity and trustworthiness. Whenever I have horse trailers to paint I always bring them to Mark.
