With no insurance on these fender scrapes, I went to 3 different body shops for estimates. Caliber came in lowest by several hundred dollars on each repair. On the first repair, we were out of town when it was done. They delivered the car to my driveway and put the key in my locked mailbox. On the 2nd repair, they connected me with Enterprise for a rental, with pickup and drop-off at Caliber. Finished a couple of days early, saving me rental money. Both jobs came out great. This by far was the best experience for an unfortunate situation of my car being involved in an accident. Their process from beginning to end was smooth and done seamlessly. Super nice ladies who are very friendly and helpful. This is my second time with USAA and working with this particular Caliber Collision. I had an accident and it took my adjuster 3 weeks of back and forth without any resolution. Eventually, I just dropped my car here overnight as it was non-drivable. I changed from a traveling estimator to Caliber through my app while in the shop and they we able to take my car in same the day. Within 24 hours, I was notified that my car was totaled and I was able to move on. During my previous incident, they also called the nearby enterprise and had them drop off a rental to me. Although they fixed my Toyota Camry just fine, they offered to change my battery as they claimed it was dead (it was not) & they asked me to pay cash for it. This seemed concerning. If there could be a negative star, they would get it as that was the level of customer service and repairs by their shop. I was told my repairs would take about 5 days. Updates were nonexistent and so I had to call in only to be treated like I was bothering Reesa (the manager). She sent my wife an email saying it would be done on a Thursday afternoon, so my wife got a ride there to pick up around noon on Friday fully expecting it to be done. (I was at work and could not pick up with her). The vehicle was not ready so my wife had to sit there while they put on decals and last-minute details. When I get home from work on Saturday I notice a ton of problems with it. The texture of the rocker panel paint was not put on, the passenger door was still not fixed, there was white dust all over the inside jams of the door where the repair was and they even scratched my aftermarket tint on the passenger window and got glue all over it. After bringing it back to show Reesa, she stated they didn't have the rocker texture to put on the door that matched the manufacturer's texture so they simply didn't put it on! After arguing about what work should have been done, she finally agreed to do it right. Then we had to wait a full month to bring it back in as the first shoddy paint job had to cure. So, we brought it back in on November 20 for again what should have been a 5-day repair. After 18 days we finally got it back on December 8th. There was ZERO follow-up and when we did call to find out what was going on around day 5 we found out they had not even touched it yet and the painters were on Thanksgiving vacation that week! We had other cars we had minor work we wanted done and we told them we would not be giving them any more business as the shoddy work on top of the rude office staff, there is NO REASON to use this shop. She responded that we should go elsewhere as they "cannot give us the level of service we expect". That's the truth! We told Reesa we wanted her to reimburse our deductible given the extra 18 days they had our truck in the shop and our loss of use, and she said it would come from corporate and that she would contact corporate to get in touch with us. That was 3 weeks ago and despite follow-up with her, no response at all. We have disputed the charges on our credit card as there is no way we should pay for the unacceptable level of work this shop puts out. Avoid this shop by all means. read more

I recently came here with an estimate in hand from my insurance company who has a partnership with Caliber Collision. Unfortunately, I was told immediately that they do not service Teslas. This was the second of two places that I was referred to from my insurance company. Too bad both did not realize I did not need parts, and only needed to rebuff and repaint the doors and some panels. Don't get me wrong! The work that was done on my car came out very well. It's what happened after the job. I go and pick up my car and noticed right away that stuff was missing. I had been robbed! Stuff was stolen out of my trunk, glove box, anywhere they could look things were taken. Work was being done to the front area of my car (tire area) but you're in my trunk?!!! I'm very disappointed!! This place was on my insurance website! (Farmers) Totally ridiculous!! They (Caliber Collision)said to me that they weren't held responsible for theft and that I signed the paperwork. Before they were Caliber they were Cook's Collision which was garbage. GEICO recommended I go here and they redeemed themselves. Apparently same staff but better results. I can live with that. My Auditor did a great job and got my car done in a timely fashion and was very communicative. I would recommend her and Caliber moving forward. They get the seal of approval this time. UNPROFESSIONAL. I brought my car in for an insurance repair. They couldn't tell me abou the proces of making the claim clearly enough for me to undersatand and when I sent an email to my customer service person, she told me to deal with GEICO mysaelf, which I did and they told me they already approved the repair, but Caliber'ds representative told me I didn't knwo what I was talking about adn I need to find somewhere else to fix my car because. When I emailed her the approved estimate from GEICO she sent me the following email: "This is not an Estimate it is a proof of payment for the claim being paid directly to you. You will need your Estimate of Record from GEICO, then pick a different Repair facility to work with. At this time I don't believe that Caliber Collision will be able to provide you with the level of Customer Service that you desire. If you have issues finding one in your area, please reach back out to GEICO." The document I sent her says "Estimate of Record" across the top of each of the 9 pages. Today April 4 I called and now am being told that parts were never shipped and now I will have to wait another 4 days. A co-worker backed into my car so I used his insurance to have my car fixed.  His insurance referred me to Caliber Collision.  At first I was hesitant to bringing my car there because I already had a quote from another body shop in Dublin where I really wanted to bring my car to have it fixed. When I arrived at Caliber, the facility was presentable and looked like the place where I would be at ease to have them do the work.  Also the staff is friendly and professional but most importantly, knowledgeable. Caliber's final cost after the car was repaired ended up being $2k less than the first quote I received in Dublin.  My car was fixed to my satisfaction, and I can't tell that it was ever in an accident.  The best part is that Caliber hand waxed my car before returning it to me.  The paint shined and felt smooth just like it did the day it was purchased. read more

Try to avoid this place if you can as I got the feeling that they didn't want my business. I was coming in through Geico for an 11am appointment and I waited till 11:!5am since the lady in the front was tending to another customer. When my turn came she told me that I wasn't in the system (she could have told me that when I first got there) and then we spent another 15 mins on the phone with Geico who confirmed that they were seeing the appointment on their side. Then the lady said it's already 30 mins past and its too late now and she has to tend to the next appointment. I am never going back! read more

If you are paying cash do not go here! I was given an estimate at $1600, so I said I was going to pay cash. Then I got a second estimate at $1900 and said okay I'll still pay cash instead of involving insurance, but I should have just used my insurance bc when they were done they said they had to calibrate the bumper (like they didn't know they had to do this) and gave me a final bill of $2400. If I had went w my insurance the adjuster wouldn't have allowed it and would have done their own fair estimate. They knew they had me. Horrible business practice. It felt like I was being scammed. I probably was. I asked to talk to the manager and she called me and said they couldn't have written that up in the estimate because they didn't know they would have to do it. I asked if they had worked on Lexus's before and they said they had. I told them I would assume they would know their bumpers need to be calibrated and they said it would be bad practice for them to put it on the estimate. Everyone knows what an estimate is, the potential expected expenses. So wouldn't you put it all on the estimate. Either it was a scam bc they knew I was paying cash or they hadn't worked on 2022 Lexus's before. Either way it was the worst experience every and I encourage you to go somewhere else if you're paying cash. I feel I was totally taken advantage of. read more

My experience has been poor with the Pleasanton location. The biggest problem is the frequency of communication/followup and not setting the right expectations. For example, they don't tell you upfront that they would charge for towing the vehicle from wherever the car is to the body shop. I could have avoided $120 cost as I already have AAA service and would have been $0 cost. Once the vehicle reaches the shop, it took them couple days to acknowledge that they received the car, then 2-3 more days to tell me what is wrong with the vehicle, one additional day to provide an estimate. Mainly a week went by without even starting any work on the car. During this time, you don't have an option to move your car to a different location. They are holding you hostage to the situation and take advantage of you. In the second and third week, the estimate would revise multiple times; parts wouldn't arrive in time. Communication during this process is horrible. They told me that I would receive updates 2-3 times a week. Only one week, they provided me with updates. I probably called them around 20 times to get updates. After calling multiple times, they offered a rental vehicle for free in the last week. Having said all this, the people and the quality of work are excellent. Whenever I was able to get hold of people they have been nice, sympathetic (but couldn't do anything as they are at the mercy of updates from the technician or someone else in the organization). My vehicle was delivered last week, and they have done a decent job of restoring it to the way it was. read more
