I'm writing this out of complete frustration and disappointment with how I've been treated by both the insurance company and this collision center. My 2014 Audi was parked and got hit on the rear bumper -- the damage was limited to the bumper and side panel. The car is otherwise in great condition: frame, engine, transmission -- everything runs perfectly. When the collision center sent their estimate, they quoted over $9,000 just to repair the bumper and panel! Because of that inflated estimate, my insurance company (Progressive) immediately declared my car a total loss and tried to write it off as salvage. That's completely unfair when the vehicle is mechanically sound and only has cosmetic damage. When I called the shop to say I didn't want to move forward with their overpriced repair and wanted to get another opinion, I was told I'd have to pay $200 just to get my car back because it was "disassembled for the estimate." I never agreed to have my car taken apart or authorized any paid labor. Now I'm being told I have to pay this fee or leave my car there -- it honestly feels like I'm being held hostage over an estimate I never approved. To make things worse, I called the shop and asked for the service advisor to call me back -- nothing. I also emailed Progressive asking for someone to call me, and it's been over 4 days with no response from either side. This whole experience has been beyond stressful. I just wanted a fair estimate and the ability to make my own decision, but instead I've been met with inflated costs, lack of transparency, and zero communication. I would strongly recommend that anyone thinking of bringing their car here get everything in writing before agreeing to a single thing. The wifey backed into our truck and banged up the door. We did a claim w/ insurance; Caliber was in-network. We paid our $200 deductible and insurance handled everything else directly with Caliber. It took half a week to get us on the schedule and about a week to get the work done. The body work they did was outstanding. While everyone else tried to make me get a new door saying it is "too hard" to repair the door given where the indentation was, Caliber repaired the current one flawlessly and shaved several grand off the insurance claim. They did the recalibration and sent us on our way with the truck repaired. I was very happy with their work. This was a Friday; driving around over the weekend, I started seeing sensor failures on the dashboard. I notified them, but it went away. We left for a road trip to Las Vegas two days, and the problem returned briefly at first, and then the sensors and cameras on the truck started going haywire and we were getting steady error codes, cruise control wouldn't work, etc. Figured the sensor system's calibration wasn't done correctly, but when we returned from the trip 10 days later and they tested it, the calibration was just fine. Turns out their technician didn't fully connect the sensor behind the Toyota logo on the grill, and so the cable managed to disconnect while we were driving. Caliber fixed it on the spot, and of course charged nothing. So I'm still quite happy with both the work and the business. My only gripe - and the reason they lost a star - is that's a pretty big quality control miss. Mistakes happen, but I'd have expected some level of QA to avoid these kinds of situations. They made it right. They did right by us. I'd go back no questions asked. But would be helpful if they improved their control processes a bit to avoid these kinds of hassles. read more

wasn't the greatest repair picked up my vehicle noticed the front head rest were not on right, no reason to mess with that part of my vehicle did not give me a written estimate right away did not go over my vehicle for any other paint mishap came to pick up my car and found a bubble on the front hood of my vehicle trying to say that they told us about this but they did not. They did not point out that part on my vehicle denied everything, when I tried to explain they kept cutting me off and when my husband try to explain the paint job, the paint technician just left in his face, which was not very professional. They're just trying to cover up what they did wrong bad experience will not recommend this company to anybody. read more

Got sent here after getting rear ended. First visit to drop the car off, already proved difficult as i had to wait 30 minutes even with an appointment. While I could clearly hear them chatting in the back the whole time. They tried to fix the bumper, but after repairs, the bumper is still loose, misaligned and doesn't fit as it did before the accident. Tried speaking with Matt(manager) about this, but he was extremely rude, confrontational and was unable to help. Overall, bad experience and extremely expensive as it's not fully fixed. read more

We cannot give Caliber and specifically Nick enough praise. No doubt dealing with an auto accident is stressful but Nick made our experience extremely easy. We received constant updates and received our vehicle back before the promised date. The work completed on our vehicle was magnificent, we have an 8 year old car and we were worried it was beyond repair. With that said our vehicle was returned to us in a pristine condition and looks like a brand new car! I did not think it possible, however Caliber had done it! Brought my F150 in for some paint work. The staff there was friendly and professional. I'm super picky and had alot of questions regarding the paint process. I met the Manager Matt who answered all my questions regarding the prep and paint process. He was super knowledgeable and helpful. I felt more than comfortable getting my paintwork done there. Matt kept me informed during the stages of paint in which I appreciated and got it done faster than I expected. The paint came out great and exceeded my expectations. Very unprofessional. When my car was done for repairs there was a paint on the bumper that was not there when I dropped off my car. The service advisor seemed that he didn't want to accept that they were at fault or I was making up stories. I showed him previous photos before and after the repair of my car and was still hesitant to accept the shop was at fault. Before handing the car to customers the shop of the service advisor needs to do a 360 check on the car. Obviously he did not. To repair a fender and a bumper and install a headlight my vehicle was in this shop for 27 days (Dublin). I kept asking the reason for the delay and was given always the same excuse: that a plastic fastener for the headlight was in back order. Because of this runaround, I asked the manager the part number and went directly to the local dealer who informed me the part was available and could be delivered in 3 days... but there was no order on file at all. So I confronted the manager and he flatly denied the facts. It was obvious Caliber did not want order from the dealer a part that is priced at less than $50.00 . Because of that, I incurred in more than $600 in extra car rental days. This shows lack of respect for their customers. I do not recommend Caliber to anyone. Awful experience. Horacio MC read more

AN EMAIL SENT ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE: The following statement(s) is information that I am bringing to you based on stated expectations that fell short while at Caliber Collision at 6091 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, Ca 94568. I brought my 2017 Passat in to the facility you manage against my better judgement; of a location I had used for 13 years, due to location proximity to my work in Livermore.  Durring my walk around inspection I was told of the work to be done and the approximate time of service completion. I expressed that I had a prior damage item that I wanted to have take care of and I wanted an estimate for a "paintless dent repair" process, (1) I was told I would get one and didn't get one until day of puck up. Durring this process I relayed that "I wanted to get all the work done at one time".  As time passed and work was being done I got no call from your adjuster nor the contractor that he told me about that Caliber uses for such work. (2) I asked when the contractor was going to look at my car for the work outside the contracted work and was told he would be their on a specific day and time. Based on the extended time for a response I showed up at your location unannounced and found my car sitting with insurance work done with no call to me acknowledging that fact. I decided to puck up my car and then was told that it was damaged durring the repair process and that a window & trim part had been ordered to correct it. Rather then extend my rental car nightmare I opt to accept a negotiated settlement that I was told (3) would be in the form of a "gift card"; which seems untypical, rather then being cut a company check right then and their. In the two months since my repair I had sent the adjuster an email asking where was the "gift card" assuming it would be sent to me. That wasnt the case I was told in an email I would have to pick it up their. (4) Within a few minuets of receiving that email telling me I would have to pick it up I responded that "I wanted the gift car sent to my home address". Days passed by and I sent another asking "why had I not received it" and (5) I was told "because he was on vacation". Understanding all of the holidays between the time I came in, the completion time,  the point where Caliber had been fully compensated by USAA and my deductable may have led to a delay I can't see a reason why I need to return to your location for damage compensation. Being in the car business I feel I have extended my understanding beyond norms and now need you to understand my point of frustration before I send this email to USAA in response to them asking me how I was treated. read more

Had the roof and hood and front fascia repainted after the primer grey became exposed. They left 15% of the roof not painted with the grey showing. They argued the roof WAS painted and that the part facing up to the sky was NOT the roof. I had two 4 inch unpainted roof areas with primer showing. Then they have the Gaul to charge me $900 more to fix it. I may still take them to court but I needed my vehicle completed. The Rep quoted it wrong. The Painter asked no obvious questions. The Manager owes me $900 and an apology for arguing with me with nonsensical logic. The roof faces UP. Its not the top of door I am referring to here - its the ROOF. I will say the color match was very good. read more

I recently used Caliber Collision to get my Honda Accord 2007 fixed when I was hit by another driver. Al did a great job of thoroughly looking over my damaged vehicle, listening to my input & questions, explaining the process , and making me feel taken care of and reassured! Al keep me well informed, and even worked with me when I was stressed out about fitting my drop off/pick up into my FT 8-5:30 work schedule. The front desk woman was really helpful as well! They did a great job in coordinating my enterprise rental car , and my finished car looks awesome! Don't get me wrong! The work that was done on my car came out very well. It's what happened after the job. I go and pick up my car and noticed right away that stuff was missing. I had been robbed! Stuff was stolen out of my trunk, glove box, anywhere they could look things were taken. Work was being done to the front area of my car (tire area) but you're in my trunk?!!! I'm very disappointed!! This place was on my insurance website! (Farmers) Totally ridiculous!! They (Caliber Collision)said to me that they weren't held responsible for theft and that I signed the paperwork. Who thinks that an employee of a reputable business is going to steal from you?, I didn't!!! It's just not right!!! I feel violated and taken advantage of!! They should be ashamed of themselves!!! I can't give 0 stars, so I am giving 1 star. At the time of giving my car for repairs I told body shop that something broke underneath and they didn't even look at it. It came as a surprise to them at the time they were giving my car back and told me - yes yes we checked underneath, nothing is broken there. I am not sure if they fixed it or not. I feel they should be more professional in terms of carefully listening to customer's concerns and document them so that they can take care of it one by one at time time of repairs. I won't recommend this place to anyone who wants peace of mind after there car repairs are done. read more

To the young lady that came out to look over my car and assess the damage. For Felisa had a welcoming demeanor and great customer service skills.. she made my experience amazing. Was in a small accident with my ~1 year old mini-van. Caliber did a great job on the repairs and it looks as good as new. The service reps have been outstanding and provided regular updates by phone and text throughout the process (initial assessment, ordering parts, repair progress, etc). They also arranged for vehicle delivery to make it easier on us during the current shelter-in-place order. All in all, great service. After getting my car back, I did find that the GPS wasn't working. (No way Caliber would have seen that without driving the car around.) They're working with a local dealer and helping to get it fixed under warranty. Again, great service and support. They picked up the car, took it in for assessment, and delivered it back while we wait for the parts to come in. The process is as convenient to me as it could possibly be. read more

My car was vandalized and multiple windows were broken. I went to caliber collision after my insurance recommended them. They did a great job making sure all the scratches made by broken glass were repainted, seat scratches were fixed, overall car looked great after complete work. The only pain point was their communication. It was terrible. The entire work took 3 WEEKS whereas I was given rough estimate on the work of 1 week after looking at the car. They kept saying there was more work than expected all the time. Also reaching them was always a pain. They would take a message for your specific rep and never call back until you give them a call again. If they improve their communication, I would recommend them for their work. read more

Caliber Collision just resurrected our beloved Lexus from a wreck that we though would not be repairable. They did an excellent job re-welding in a new quarter panel and replacing the front end. The paint looks nice with no defects, it is like a new car again! Daniel was our service advisor, he was easy to work with and went above and beyond to personally pick my wife up from work when the car was ready. Initially, I was concerned to find out they had changed ownership from Cooks Collision. We had had a good experience with Cooks a few years ago, so we chose to use them again. After speaking to a couple people working there I found they have mostly the same employees and the employees are happier with the structure that had come from new ownership. All in all a good ending to a tragic mishap with our car. read more

So when I went in to schedule my Jeeps repairs; I was greeted by a friendlier face than I dealt with last year and a lot happier employees. Worst paint job ever! Took my Mercedes there. 2 weeks there and the paint dripped.looks like waves. I went to get couple things out of car and it was in a 100 hot room. The foil plastic on the front bumper cracked and warped. Such heat, no wonder the paint dripped. They don't know what they are doing.stay away. Paid top dollar and now must start over and fix their damage. read more
