"Owner Paints Horse Trailer, Sleeps in Trailer to Confirm Quality"…read more The owner of this business insists upon top-quality. It doesn't matter if it's a car, boat, plane, or horse trailer. However, Mark does not like to paint locomotives. Anyway, this horse trailer was destined to become a mobile bar. Yes I know that sounds odd, but that's the gospel truth. Naturally if you want to convert your horse trailer to a bar, it must be impeccable. So when Mark painted this trailer, he had to be positive there were no drips. I mean, just imagine if you were guzzling a beer and paint drops started plopping from the ceiling. That would be no fun! Plus it would add an unknown flavor to your beer. So of course, Mark had no choice but to sleep in the horse trailer. That way he could be positive there were no paint drips or drops. (Sleeping in a horse trailer is like going to a YMCA Camp, but without the archery.) I hear Mark's wife was not pleased with this turn of events, but the customer always comes first. That's just the type of man he is. I have known the owner of this business for years. He is a person of great integrity and trustworthiness. Whenever I have horse trailers to paint I always bring them to Mark.

They closed the insurance claim without our approval/satisfaction, so now we have to reopen a claim and go through weeks of processing. I had to take my car there 4 times and each time they claimed that "they fixed the issue", only for it to not look any different and the headlight still facing the floor. Another 'amazing' customer experience with them -- I picked my car up one of the many times we took it back, I turned it on and there was NO gas in my tank. This would've been fine if they TOLD me before leaving it out in front of the shop, but they didn't say a word. I had to walk to the nearby Safeway, ask people coming by if they had a gas can, walk back, and fill up my tank enough to get to the gas station with my car. Absolutely ridiculous. The one nice thing I can say about them is that they thoroughly detailed my car before giving it back the first time. That was very nice. Despite that, avoid this an auto body repair shop at ALL costs.

While I was waiting, I went to two different auto shops in the area and had really different experiences. Brooks Auto was on a whole different level from the moment I walked in. Their lobby and facilities look so nice that I actually thought the prices were going to be through the roof, especially since I was having a few extra scrapes handled at the same time. I worked with Patrick, and he stayed in touch through the whole process. He gave me clear updates and a timeline that actually felt realistic. They even finished the car almost half a week early and still apologized like they were behind. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, and the whole experience just felt smooth and straightforward. What surprised me the most was the quality of the work. My car came back looking better than it did the day I bought it. I had never had it waxed before, but since they repaired both sides they went ahead and waxed the whole thing. The paint match was perfect and even the areas they didn't work on looked great. It was the first time I picked up my car from a repair shop and felt honestly impressed instead of just relieved to be done.

Patrick inspected the car and pointed out we hit some debris that pulled the inner bumper off. From the visual inspection, I agreed it was not a workmanship issue from the last repair from Brooks in 2024. I'm writing this out of complete frustration and disappointment with how I've been treated by both…read morethe insurance company and this collision center. My 2014 Audi was parked and got hit on the rear bumper -- the damage was limited to the bumper and side panel. The car is otherwise in great condition: frame, engine, transmission -- everything runs perfectly. When the collision center sent their estimate, they quoted over $9,000 just to repair the bumper and panel! Because of that inflated estimate, my insurance company (Progressive) immediately declared my car a total loss and tried to write it off as salvage. That's completely unfair when the vehicle is mechanically sound and only has cosmetic damage. When I called the shop to say I didn't want to move forward with their overpriced repair and wanted to get another opinion, I was told I'd have to pay $200 just to get my car back because it was "disassembled for the estimate." I never agreed to have my car taken apart or authorized any paid labor. Now I'm being told I have to pay this fee or leave my car there -- it honestly feels like I'm being held hostage over an estimate I never approved. To make things worse, I called the shop and asked for the service advisor to call me back -- nothing. I also emailed Progressive asking for someone to call me, and it's been over 4 days with no response from either side. This whole experience has been beyond stressful. I just wanted a fair estimate and the ability to make my own decision, but instead I've been met with inflated costs, lack of transparency, and zero communication. I would strongly recommend that anyone thinking of bringing their car here get everything in writing before agreeing to a single thing. I emailed the community email on the response from them below, nothing! no one called me.

He gave us 2 options and we decided to go with the less expensive one due to the age of the car. I spent some time in their waiting room while the work was being done rather than make a return trip. Wow! I wish every car-related repair shop had this kind of concern for their customers. The waiting room was sparkling clean, fresh paint, new carpet, and a spic and span restroom. Absolutely a pleasure to wait there and no chemical odors at all if you're sensitive to that. They had a great free coffee set up (pods so it was so fresh with each cup brewed). And there was free bottled water available in a small fridge. Add in their free Wi-Fi (unsecured, but still OK for casual scrolling) and I was happy as a clam. While I was waiting, I had a chance to observe how the Manager, Office Manager, and Techs interacted with folks coming in to drop off or pick up their cars and how phone calls were managed. I found these employees to be friendly, respectful and clear in their communications with everyone. Definitely no drama here. Good to know if you've had a car accident that will involve body work. That can be so stressful and there's little to no time to find the right place. Our car looks better with the minor repair. And, heaven forbid, if we ever have some major car body work to do that would involve an insurance claim, we'd have no hesitation in coming back here. The only minor downside is the tight parking lot. There are a lot of car-related businesses located in the back of the main row of shops directly on Village Parkway. The lot looks tight, but there's almost always someone just leaving or a Tech pulling a car from the lot into a business so you should be able to grab a spot pretty quickly. Don't be put off by the parking as all these businesses cooperate to get their customers' cars serviced as fast as possible.
