I liked how the staff is friendly and competent at the front desk, especially Robyn - she has always been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and nice, and I also really like that the mechanics are thorough in doing their jobs and the prices are very good. If I did not trust that the mechanics were doing a good job then I wouldn't bring my car there but I do l really do think they are great. I really appreciate that you guys have a nice waiting area with coffee, donuts, TV, and especially bottled water. Last time I hung out outside because it was raining and really nice outside so I am glad that you guys have multiple seating options outside under an overhang as well. Last but definitely not least I really like that you guys do a multi point inspection every time I bring my car in for an oil change. That is extremely helpful and it's good to make sure everything else on the car is safe. My fiancé has a Ford unfortunately or else I would bring her car to you guys as well! read more

I have been a long time customer of the service department at First Kia, Robyn in service has always been so nice and easy going. This was the first time I decided to check out a holiday deal from them since they needed used kia's like mine for there used lot. For sales go see Omar Abuzaid, he was super patient, and quick with the paperwork, he knew so much about the car that he was able to setup the infotainment system without a manual. Sales manager Bob Busick is awesome and took a special interest into my situation and made things happen. I won't deal with Johnny Kia again after how my deal started, and I will not deal with Cory Pickett because of how my deal almost ended in no sale of a car. I am huge on customer service after having served the public for the last 20 years, and also having ran my own business for 6 years. Businesses succeed and fail with customer service. read more

I leased a new Sorento from 1st Kia in Simi Valley. I usually dread getting a new car but this was the best car buying experience I've had! From the Sales Manager Bob to our salesman Collin the whole experience was incredible. Collin took the time to explain how everything in the car worked and they didn't try get you into a payment that you weren't comfortable with. We were in and out in a few hours and left feeling good about the deal that we got. read more

Jimmy in Service was friendly, professional and seemed conscientious in making sure I was going to be comfortable while I waited for my car. As it turned out, my car was finished in less time than originally anticipated, which was great. Also, the waiting area is comfortable and clean. I would recommend First KIA to anyone! Have had only good and positive experiences every time I have been there, both with the sales team and the service department! read more

Extremely rude, smug and worst of all ...Liers. I believe the correct term is BAIT AND SWITCH !!!! Too bad for them I had 3K in my pocket and ready to buy a car, which I did about an hour later after running away from those jerks. I had a good experience at First Kia. After researching online car buying services that lock in a price, we still found a better overall deal at the dealership. Yes, we paid a bit more, but they had a larger inventory. My sales reps, Michael and Luis were very attentive and knowledgeable. They understood my need for value in terms of price and profile of the car. The Sportage met both those qualities. Yes, there's the typical deal-making choreography with other cast members coming on and off stage, but if you're in the mood, it's worth the time and effort. I would recommend First Kia for a new car. read more

Bought a Soul from Cory. He made the purchase easy and Johnny made the financing smooth. I highly recommend.

I went to first kia to buy my first car, overall the experience was great, I expected to experience of buying a car to be quite stressful, however Cody was very accommodating, he was incredibly polite, and he had my best interests in mind. I would recommend anyone to go in and talk to Cody, he was fantastic. read more

I just bought a Kia Optima from Kia in Simi Valley using Chuck as my sale person and the entire experience was postive, stress free & so easy it exceeded all my expectations! I cannot recommend this dealership enough! I used Chuck as my sales person and George the Floor manager, Johhny the General sales manager all add up to an expert team. I have owned Hondas, 3 in the past 9 years, Lexus, BMW and I had no idea the upscale product that Kia produces! Classy car with so many upgrades I cannot imagine any car offering more. My new car is the same exact price monthly as my 2011 CRV which did not have many upgrades on it. I told Chuck from my first visit I want a stress free transaction & I have a certain price I will not go over and he made it happen. If your shopping for a new car you will not be disappointed in Kia. Even you hardcore Honda lovers! A shout out to Omar, another salesman, who was so kind to help me when I showed up early one day, all the while knowing he was not going to make a commission on me as I was working with Chuck. I have been in sales for 25 years, and there was no hard sale here. By the way...Honda in T.O. unblocked my cell phone number when I called them, after I went through all the trouble of blocking my number(so they couldn't call me), and called me to try to hard sell me a Honda. Kia had my number, because I gave it to them, and never did that. My second visit to Honda of T.O. the salesman had me write my number on a papertowel on his desk..and he has never to this day called me back! Try a Kia they do not disappoint & are a great option when your burned out on Honda but want another reliable & highly rated car. read more

I had a great experience with Michael Peters. He was knowledgeable, personable and respectful. He was clear in his explanations, describing the cars. I have not purchased a new car for a long time, and Michael made the experience pleasant and easy. I am so pleased with my new Kia Soul. The finance person was also very clear, and got the payments to a place that I could afford. All in all, it was a great experience! read more

I must admit i hesitated getting my very first Korean car. After the reviews online and other owners' feedback on Kia Soul, i gave it a try/look. After visiting a number of japanese dealerships in the area, and being pushed around, ignored, or even forced to add extras (enging etching, etc) that we dont need, coming to First Kia was a big difference - from the moment we parked in. What really sold me at it was the way our salesman BENJIE VILLALPANDO and UDA (not sure of the spelling :-)) treated me and my wife with utmost attention and willingness to help and understand our situation. haggling was quite easy and they went all the way to satisfy our requests. we're now happy owner of our very first korean car -- with a true Soul. thanks again guys! I already recommended to my friends. read more

We went to 1st KIA Simi Valley to turn in our leased Optima and buy a used car... Benjamin Villalpando was really nice and very helpful. Back again and again another stellar performance from First Kia. Went back to my salesman, Michael Peters, and traded in my Honda Civic for a more carseat friendly Kia Soul +. As always, got a very competative deal (I've done my research) on the Soul +. Also they went above and beyond with my trade value. Lastly, the cherry on top, was that after making the deal, Michael took all of the paperwork to my home for my wife to sign so we could keep the baby at home for this. These guys are great, this is the fourth car my family has purchased from them. Such a benefit to buy locally. If there are any isses (there have not been much at all) I can stop by on my way from home or work. read more

After test driving everything and spending the last couple of weekends at car dealerships from Ventura to Glendale. Two weeks of staring at cars.com every night, checking safety ratings, looking at finance options and all the great fun that comes along with making an important informed decision, we found the best car and the best deal right in our own back yard. 1st Kia made it super easy, the vehicle (2016 Sorento)we wanted was on the lot, a lease was tailored to meet our needs. We made an appointment for the next morning and wrapped up the whole thing in less than two hours. Very low key, great all round crew. Thanks to Eian for the kind greeting and making my wife feel comfortable on the test drive and for all the background info on the car. Thanks to the rest of the gang for everything. True customer service and attention paid to all the details. read more

After having horrible luck with the Kia dealer in Ventura, I went to Kia in Simi Valley. Before I went in I called to make sure they had what I was looking for. Ian was very nice, and knowledgeable. He was very helpful throughout the entire process. I also interacted with Jesse, and he too was very helpful. Ian understood what I was looking for and and made it all very easy. Ended up buying a certified pre owned with only 9k miles. Only bummer is I wasn't offered a carfax report on it, but hopefully I can call him tomorrow and have one sent to me. I would most certainly go back and would definitely send my friends and family in to see him as well. read more

I walked in yesterday saying I was looking for a car under 10K because I was planning on upgrading within the next year and a half. I was shown a car that was price marked at $13,999 but the salesman, Darcel, told me that a guy came by the other day and negotiated the car to $10,999. It was a little outside my range, however, this is the pricing we had discussed throughout test-driving and even in front of his manager, Robert (I believe his name was). We left our conversation talking about this car at the price of $10,999. I had planned to come in today to purchase the car when I receive a text from Darcel that the best pricing they could do was $12,900.....Now, I am being asked to come in, to talk to the GM about the pricing and why they cannot offer to me at that price ($10,999). My question is... why were they able to drop it down to 10,999 for a guy the other day but now only be able to offer it to me at 12,900? This whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I recommend avoiding Nissan, Kia, and Honda in Simi since they are all connected. read more

Purchased a Forte over the weekend which I love. I worked with Chuck and he did a great job worked above and beyond to get me into a car that weekend. The only issue I had was keyless entry. I was told I could get a remote and maybe work it into the deal. Long story short it didn't happen but now that I called parts to purchase on my own I was told its not included standard in the car which would have been great to know before I purchased the vehicle since there is also not even a kit that I could purchase and have put in. If not for the remote issue I would have given 5 stars. read more

In my opinion, all dealerships should be run like 1st Kia of Simi Valley; this group gets how to make their customers feel comfortable and make the buying experience pleasant. My first round of thanks goes to Omar Abuzaid; Omar worked what I thought was impossible, found me the car I wanted and did it all with absolutely no pressure, honesty and assistance! Anyone looking for a great sales associate who will help you until the end of the sale and fight for you to get the car you desire, GO SEE OMAR! My second round of thanks goes to Mr. Johnny Kia, the process of purchasing my new car could not have gone smoother and Mr. Kia made sure of that, even staying for the completion of my sale even though he was scheduled to leave. I've purchased three cars at 1st Kia, they will forever have my patronage and I recommend them to anyone wanting or needing a new car. Please go see Omar and Johnny; you will not be disappointed as they are simply the best! read more

I wouldn't trust the service department with you car. They will lie to you, and make lots of excuses. Don't expect to get any help from the service manager as this attitude of lies and excuses is where this starts at. The sales department is great, but don't buy a car from them unless you plan to get your service at a different dealership. read more

My only guess is that the owner at 1st Kia is a piece of work, or maybe he cares very little about the customers and more about the bottom line. I say this because the service dept will over look good customer service, over the territorial gripes of this guy up stairs. We bought our first Kia at 1st Kia. Great car and decent service ...until. The Service dept over looked an issue with the tires which ended up with us having to replace them, 2 tires which would have been caught by any second rate mechanic. 1st Kia didn't go above or beyond in making the situation right, they did a very average job with attidude at the end. They didn't charge for the labor and sold us the tires at cost. Great, not an overly grand jesture on thier part but fair at the time. The reason I'm wiriting this review is the attitude we got picking the car up and waiting for the items to be completed that they had agreed to take of. Its not how well you treat your customer when it's all good, it's how well you treat them when things go bad. I have zero confidence that if we had a major issue that 1st Kia would step up and make it right. They couldn't even cover $64 in labor without an attitude. I'm pretty sure its ownership down! read more

I can't recommend this place enough! Walked in with the usual "guard up" when walking onto a dealership. Right away met Mr. (Collin?) Crawford, he asks how can he help. I at least replied "just looking". Mr. Crawford kept cool and asked anything in mind? "Well yes she would like to see about a Kia Soul" I replied. We were shown the whole line from the basic on up to the high end, even one with the technology package which was pretty sweet. We definitely knew what we wanted, but was unsure if we could make this work or not with lease or buy as credit is not as good as could be for a car purchase. However pouring money into keeping our old vehicles was getting out of hand. Mr. Crawford was assisted by a wonderful gentleman named Tim. He assisted in crunching the numbers and the conversations we had the whole time we were here was just excellent. I'd go on record and call these 2 guys friends. We were also assisted by Mr. Bobby B (another new friend), an outstanding man who came back with some numbers more than what we wanted to do at this time. Not a problem, we stepped down a notch on features and Mr. Tim brought up a model and parked it by the door. It's in the price range where I wanted to be for my wife. But before we crunch the numbers again to see if this will work, it was suggested we at least test drive. As if it were meant to be, when we walked outside the color and interior were exactly what she wanted! Car had amazing handling, everything we're looking for. Mr. Crawford knew the insides and outs on the vehicle, answered my questions with ease. Even later mentioned a feature on another vehicle I may consider down the road. When we returned Mr. Bobby B came back with some really great news. Not only did we come in on an affordable payment we wanted but an amazing interest rate also got to keep our trade in as well! I was blown away by the magic Bobby was able to do...Wow. From then we signed off and went into "finance" which historically is a major time suck and headache. I didn't catch the gentleman's name but his record was something like 10 minutes and 28 seconds. I will go on record and promise you we walked in and sat down and were back out in 5 minutes flat!!! We owe a huge thank you to Mr. Crawford, Mr. Tim and Mr. Bobby B!! I would definitely buy a car from these guys again just as soon as I my lease is up on another brand I got just a week ago. read more

If I could put a 0/5 stars I would. DO NOT GO TO THIS KIA DEALER FOR SERVICE OR PARTS! It was one of the WORST experiences I have ever had at ANY dealer. Jimmy (whoever that is) decided to not show up to work and apparently they need him to KNOW anything about anything there... I needed a new part for my car (WHICH THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED) as well as service on my car for an oil change, the new part and a busted brake light bulb. Got there at 8:30AM for my appointment and within 5 minutes of arriving, my part wasn't there that I ordered from THEIR parts department, then it was ordered but it was the wrong part.. After 15 minutes of talking to everyone in the service and parts dept. nobody knew what part I needed; service members, managers, parts members, NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING. I was told if I wanted to wait for Jimmy to show up I could, I'm sorry I don't have time to sit around all day and wait for whomever to get to work, I have a job and stuff to do. WHO HAS ALL DAY TO SIT AROUND AND DEAL WITH THIS?! NO ONE. Clearly I take my car to get worked on because I do not know how to take it apart myself. Along with not knowing what part I exactly needed I figured it would be attached to my account in notes, but surprise surprise nobody knew anything. I had to keep calling all day to make sure they weren't ripping my car apart and actually doing what they were supposed to, I probably called their service dept. 30 times? With no answers or responses until I called the Sales dept. to transfer me and even then not a guarantee. To top it off, I did not get my car until 6PM THAT DAY!! Are you kidding me I dropped it off at 8:30, FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND ONE BULB TO BE REPLACED. Could've gone to Walmart or someone way cheaper and been done in 10-15 minutes. Not to mention I was being jerked around the entire time, "well you need this part and you actually have this broken and BLAH BLAH BLAH". Had to get my mother involved because they clearly did not believe that my 22 yr old self was important enough to help. Needless to say I will never come back and recommend others not to as well. read more

My god DO NOT COME HERE! My friend and I purchases a 2010 altima here, and boy was the certification they did on thr vehicle such crap. Let me start off by saying that they are very aggressive salesmen, and I felt as if they gor offended when we said we cant do the price they wanted. We eventually ended up agreeing on a fair price, and we ended up leaving. Upon leaving the dealership, I found out that the tires were not higher than 40 perceng tread. I was told that they replace the tires if they are lower than 60 percent tread. So I took It back, and they said, "Oh we said, 40 percent tread. BS. They went on and on, I asked, let me see the the certification sheet for this car. They said, "Oh we dont have it." Seriously? These dealers dont have any sense in customer service, instead, they just do whatever they can to get their commission. Its a shame we bought the car from here. Lesson learned, never buy a car from the first au to group! read more

DO NOT GO HERE no matter what. By FAR the WORST experience I've had, not just at a car dealer but in any place ever. It was a complete nightmare and the staff were highly unprofessional, extremely rude and even racist. We were given a quote on a car over email with all the info for the car as well as the price. They told us to come down and the manager Johnny would be there but when we came, the manager wasn't there, the car they told us was new was actually used, the price they gave was "misquoted" even though it really wasn't and they called me and my family shady and used racial slurs as we left the place. Yuta and Bob wouldn't even take the responsibility or apologize for the misquote and my wife and I took work off early to come and look at the car. He calls us shady for saying we saw the same car online for 19.5k and they quoted us for 21.5k. In the end, they wanted to sell it to us for 26k which is 5k more than what was quoted. DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL COSTS! THEY LIE, CHEAT , AND YELL RACIAL SLURS and cusses at the customers. read more

I was a very nervous first time car buyer when I walked in but I had a very pleasant experience. Omar took care of me. He was very genuine and he continued to make me feel like the only thing that mattered was finding the perfect car for me, in my budget, that I will be happy having for a long time. Omar seemed to treat me like a father would a daughter. He really took what I wanted into account when showing me cars and taking me on test drives and was able to solve all the questions and problems that I encountered. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a car stop by 1st Kia and ask for Omar. I would remove a star since the finance guy was very rude to me and my family but after I brought up the concern the management team easily solved my issues without having to involve him and I don't want that to detract from their review. Thank you First Kia for helping me find a wonderful car and a great price and making me feel so relaxed about the process. read more

This dealer tried to take advantage of the scarcity of the Kia Optima Hybrid by charging $3000.00 over sticker price. When I said I had firm price of sticker from Sherman Oaks Kia and that I had given them a $500.00 deposit, they said the other dealer had lied to "get me off the market." They then tried to get me to sign permission slip to check my credit without negotiating a reasonable price for the car. After coming back with 2 "counter offers," they finally figured out that I was serious about my price, the sales rep wrinkled up the paper he was "negotiating" on, threw into a waste basket, and promptly dismissed us as though we weren't really serious buyers. We left that dealership feeling like we needed to take a shower. 5 days later, Sherman Oaks Kia called me saying the car that I had made deposit had arrived. I bought the car for the price we had negotiated and they handled the transaction like true professionals. The moral of this story ... STAY AWAY FROM FIRST KIA IN SIMI VALLEY and if you truly want a fair deal and be treated with respect, go the SHERMAN OAKS KIA and ask for JASON RUCKER, the internet mgr. read more

We had a very positive experience at 1st Kia Simi Valley. I came in a week ago with my daughter who's car had just broken down and I was actually planning on buying a used Honda through a friend with Auto-nation, but we were told to check out the new Kias as they were the same price as a used Honda. Darcel Roebuck came out to talk to us. He answered our questions and gave no-pressure information on the car, warranties, safety ratings etc...He is very knowledgeable and understood what was important to me, which was getting my daughter into the safest, most reliable vehicle for my budget. My daughter took a test drive and felt very comfortable behind the wheel. The car is very well built and designed and I felt it was a much better value then the Honda. Darcel went out of his way to work with me and answered my many questions with a great deal of patience. He was very straightforward about the costs and the financing which was not the case at another dealership. My work schedule did not allow me to come into the dealership to discuss the financing etc... and they were so great at accommodating me through email and telephone. Not expecting to buy a new car when we first started to look a week ago, but we got our new car tonight. Because my daughter was not with me, Darcel drove the car to my home for us! I almost went with another dealership but the trust, confidence and customer service shown to me won me over. SO grateful for the great experience! read more

I just recently purchased my 2nd KIA Soul at this dealership (4 years apart), that's how much I liked my first Soul and the Service Department at 1st KIA. The sticker price was as expected, but then I started dickering with the young salesperson (Collin), and even though the negotiation took a second day to complete we finally came to an agreeable price and package. Did I get a deal? Yes, no and maybe, but what I did get was another well made car with more bells and whistles than I had before (I got the ! this time), and I also got a few extra incentives that I much appreciated. In spite of the fact that I went into the dealership with "old man attitude" Collin K. and the rest of the sales staff maintained their professionalism and, silly me, I drove off in a brand new shiny red Soul so I guess I like the KIA brand and this dealership. Bottom line: you're gonna pay for what you get, that's just the nature of the business, but unlike other dealerships I have dealt with 1st Kia made an effort to smile at my edgy jokes and they offer outstanding service AFTER the sale is consummated. read more

I'm very surprised to see negative reviews about this dealership. Although, they seem to be six months and older so maybe there has been some changes. All I know is that my experience was AMAZING!!! My schedule is very hectic so I called and spoke with Michael and Daniel. They took me through the purchase of my new Rio EX almost all by phone. We spoke about the price and they worked with me but by the time I was able to actually get to their dealership everything was ready for me. As I sat there, I had the manage come over and thank me for my business. Everyone was sooooo kind. Another gentleman even asked me if I would like some coffee and without me realizing, went to Starbucks. It was service like I have not received in a very long time. This dealership really knows and appreciates 'Customer Service.' But wait, it doesn't stop there. I didn't have any way to get my older car home so the next day Michael, my salesman, and another Kia employee, drove my car and followed me to Camarillo just to get my car back home!!!!! Unbelievable service!! This dealership went over and beyond for me and I would recommend them to everyone! I love my car!!! read more

1st Kia of Simi Valley's service is charging customers for repairs they don't . I took my car in to have an oil leak rechecked after they did a previous warranty repair for an oil pan gasket. The dealer called and told me that the front seal on the engine was now leaking. They told me that they need to remove the timing chain cover to repair it After 2 days, i picked up car returned home, opened the hood and noticed that nothing had been taken apart. only that they had done a poor repair on the oil pan again, which was still leaking. The envoice indicated that they had removed the timing cover, 3.3 hour labor. i returned to the dealer and spoke to the mechanic and he told me he replaced the seal. Three days leter the service manager called me and told me the mechanic had "confessed" to not doing the charged repair. He tld me he had to order a gasket (which i found out only took 2 days to get) and they would properly repair it. After 2 weeks and several calls the service manager finally called. i took the car back and they completed the repair using another mechanic. Had I not had a 12 year background as a mechanis, I would not have questioned the repair. The repair was under warranty although if I had paid for the repair (approximately $400.00), I would have contacted an attorney to sort it out. I will never take my car back to 1st Kia to purchase a car and definately not for service. They were unprofessional and lacked the knowledge to even be aware of what the mechanics are doing in the shop. read more

I had requested a quote on a Kia vehicle out of 6 dealerships near my home First Kia responded to my on line request within 24 hours. We set up an appointment for a test drive, we were assisted by Marlon. He was pleasant, not at all pushy like what you normally find at dealerships. My husband and I asked several questions, we picked his brain from different options on engines to basic color questions on optima models. He gave us great answers and knew what he was talking about (we had done plenty of research prior to scheduling the appt.) He took the necessary time to shows us vehicles and allowed to test drive on road and highway so we could feel the performance on the vehicle we were interested. He found exactly what we wanted and gave us a great deal. Customer service should be a priority no matter what you sell, all customers are to treated with respect. First, we wanted to shop local and only went to 1st Kia of Simi Valley. Did not shop around before going there. Very disappointed. Went in to lease a Sorento. First they showed us an L Model. Drove and liked it but told salesman we needed the heated seats and backup camera. He indicated to us that those are on the LX Model. We went back to showroom and spent a long time going through the typical "back & forth" with the manager who started out at $331/mo. for 39 months with $3,000 down. After we showed them Kia ad for LX Model for $242/mo. for 24 months and said we only wanted same deal. Grudgingly the manager gives us the deal. Next morning we discover the LX doesn't have the heated seats we had been told was on the model we were going to lease. We called salesman who acknowledges on our message machine that it was their error and he knew we wanted it. After numerous calls back we finally get them on the line acknowledging it was their error, "but sorry, we can't do anything".....sad during this season that the management of 1st Kia will acknowledge they made a mistake, but in effect, tough luck! PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE and don't suffer the same remorse we did dealing with 1st Kia of Simi Valley! read more

My mom and I had both been thinking about buying new cars for a while. My sister has had her Kia for about 15 years and with their warranty and her praise of the Kia service department, my mom and I figured that was where we wanted to go for our new cars. I already had my mind set on getting a Forte, but my mom was undecided. We went in on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Jessie. He was VERY friendly and very knowledgeable about the cars, which cars they had on the lot, and the incentives that they had for each car. My mom checked out a Rio, Rio hatchback, and a Soul. We checked out a few cars, chatted with Jessie, and told him we would be making an appointment to come back soon. The next Friday we were there and ready to purchase our cars. After a few quick test drives, we were ready to deal. Jessie again was super friendly and patient. He handled the sale of both cars professionally even though I had my bored kids in toe! It was the quickest car buying experience I have ever had, which was also nice! Afterwards, even though the dealership was closing, he sat with my mom and answered all her questions about how to use the radio, wipers, lights, steering wheel radio controls, etc. He also gave us his card and told us we could contact him any time in the future if we had anymore questions. Both my mom and I LOVE our new cars! Thanks KIA! Note: I did notice that I do not have any car mats in mine, so I will be heading back there to ask about those. read more
