Benjamin was great. He worked with us to get the exact car we wanted at a great price

Sad to say that I wouldnt even rate 1 star for this dealership (I had to in order to write review). Right away I noticed all of the mark ups on these vehicles. Take note of the dealer created sticker showing a MKT $1000... this is an instant profit. When you ask about it, you will get a ridiculous answer and a guaranteed attitude change from the sales person. They are taking advantage of you. Do your research and you will save $.. im telling you this because I dont feel it is ethical. Especially if you know nothing about buying a car. Its a good thing I do. We still got a new car today, just NOT from them... read more

If you're looking for a car to buy, steer clear of Chuck and George in the sales dept. Neither one of them understand some of the basic features of the cars they are selling. And to top it off, both of them are really rude! Go elsewhere to buy. read more

We traveled from Bakersfield to checkout a truck we found on Cars.com. The moment I called the dealership, I was treated with great respect. I was able to get all my questions answered and financing done via the internet. When I arrived, I identified a few issues with the truck. Omar and his team went above and beyond to address the issues. I was so impressed with their service and focus on my satisfaction. This dealership is a hidden gem. Make sure to ask for OMAR. He is the man that will make the deal happen! read more

I've been bringing my car here for service for 3 years, but unfortunately the experience has gone downhill recently. At my last service a note was apparently made that my rear brakes needed attention ASAP. I don't believe this was discussed with me when I picked my car up after its $250+ service. This week when my brakes started crunching I took my car to a mechanic I know and trust, and found out that my rear brakes are fine and my front brakes and rotors are damaged. I love my Forte, but I am done with Kia service. read more

This will be the 3rd car we have purchased from 1st Kia this year.. big thanks to Johnny and Omar, for making the process for my son easy for his first time buying a car on his own. We appreciate all of you and your amazing customer service... read more

1st service on our new car. Free car wash and shuttle ride home.

I really hate to write this as I was a big fan of First Kia which is why I bought my Sportage back in 2013. The sales guys are super (Omar is a funny guy) and the service people were amazing (Robyn, you're still there and I will forever love you so this doesn't concern you). However, with that said, now that Galpin Kia AND Valencia Kia have both closed (!!!!) everyone is now flocking to this small and undersized service department. Good luck in trying to get fit in for an oil change - you can still book online but be prepared to wait at least 2-3 weeks just to get in. Once you do get in, steer clear of the guy in charge of the service department now. At least I think he's in charge of the service department. Maybe he thinks he's in charge of the service department. I really don't want to be that person that calls someone out on their shitty snarky 'I-hate-my-job attitude' but suffice it to say, my experience with Mr. S B was SO bad (like really....THAT BAD) that I wrote a three-page complaint letter to Kia Corporate detailing every condescending, argumentative and belittling comment this yakenfluster made. Let's pray he's not there when I have to drag myself back in there for a service in a few months... It's either that or I have to schlep all the way to Ventura or put my car into the hands of a local mechanic. Maybe I'll just insist on Robyn. Yeah poor Robyn having to work with this guy. First Kia - you're really swell that you offer free donuts and coffee while you wait but please - open up some more service bays, get some more mechanics and let a certain someone find another job. He's such a detriment to the service department that I actually contemplated getting rid of my car. HE WAS THAT BAD. read more

Just had twin babies and needed to trade in my Sorento for a bigger family car. With the help of Marlon at First Kia we were able to find the SUV that could fit our family. Very happy with the service from First Kia and their entire staff, especially Marlon as he went above and beyond. I never give a perfect score as there is always room to improve but I could have here. Robyn in the service dept. is the best. Thanks First Kia. read more

Mark was very friendly, and helpful! Great customer service! I was very sad having to turn in my lease, and he was very empathetic and great helping me find a new car to buy. Turned my frown upside down! Thank you, Mark for helping to turn around my day! read more

I went in with my mom. She needed to replace a totalled car. I had set up a couple of different appts. Went in without an appt. Eian took care of us with great skill and sensitivity. We told him what we wanted. Done. Then went to Dave in financing. He knew what we wanted. Done. I kept waiting for the "sell" . Didn't happen. Just an easy experience. Can't recommend 1st more highly read more

Purchased my Kia Soul in Ventura back in September of 2016. Called Kia 1st to get information about changing my windshield wipers, appointments and warranty but no luck getting through to anyone. I decided to swing by and ask in person. Jimmy and Robyn helped replace my wipers. They took the time to look up my information and make sure it was under warranty. Jimmy changed my wipers in a jiffy despite not having an appointment. Impressive customer service. Thanks, Robyn & Jimmy!! read more

My salesman was extremely helpful. He listened to what I was looking for and what I was not. He did everything to help me find the perfect car. The whole process was quick and easy. I felt like he was trying to get me the best deal possible, and he did. It was a pleasure to work with him. read more

Robyn was so helpful to me, I want to come back for future service. Customer service was the best

I dropped my daughters car off to be checked out as it started smoking under the steering wheel while she was driving back to college in Long Beach. We had to have it towed home from the valley. Long story short I was told this was not covered as we installed an after market alarm and that was the issue.. This is a 2016 Kia and we never installed an after market alarm, Kia did and if you chose to activate it when you purchase the car you can. I was then told I owe the $65 diagnostic fee to check out my car and they could not fix it without a fee and I would have to take the car back to ventura where I purchased it. The service manager Guy argued with me on the fact that I did not install this and wanted me to drive an unsafe car back to Ventura and put my car at risk as well my life driving it and possibly catching fire!! Mind you this is a 2016 Forte and pretty much brand new! Long story short my Ventura Kia dealership took care of me.. They are towing my car to their dealership tomorrow, covering the $65 fee and fixing everything under the warranty I paid for. I will never go to Simi again for any of my car needs and always stick to Ventura.. We have purchased our last 3 cars there and for safety I chose to stay closer, big mistake. read more

I had a really fantastic experience buying a new car here. Getting a test drive was easy and Darcel was the perfect companion, answering any questions I had and getting me the information I needed. I never felt pressured to make the purchase and they didn't pull anything shady - no last-minute $2000 add-ons or any of the other common dealer tricks. With all the horror stories I've heard about buying cars elsewhere, I'd definitely make the trip here again next time I'm looking for a car. read more

Omar helped me get into a certified pre-owned Soul today. Very helpful and knowledgeable, feel as if I got a good deal!

I loved my experience at First Kia. I was just starting to look for a new car and this was the first place I visited. Omar was a true gentleman from the time I stepped on the lot to the moment I drove off in my awesome new car! No pressure and lots of help. I love my new Sportage!!! read more

Such a friendly and warm experience. Came in and bought an awesome car (optima- turbo), got a great deal, excellent service and even got to hit the gong!! Thank you Omar and Johnny for all your help and putting a huge a smile on my face. read more

I had a great experience buying an Optima at First Kia. After my car was totaled, I was not looking forward to buying a car, as I had no idea what I was in the market for. I went to First Kia and saw Derrick. Derrick was extremely patient and took me on multiple test drives so I could see what I was interested in. Derrick was not pushy, as he understood that I was still in the "shopping" phase and I wasn't going to be buying a car that evening. A few days later I went in to see Michael (Derrick advised me to see him as he wasn't going to be there at the time I had available). I was ready to buy my Optima. Michael made the burying experience extremely painless. I felt like he was incredibly honest and up front with me about the deal I was getting and wasn't trying to play any games. Overall, it was a fabulous experience at First Kia and I would recommend anyone buying a car there! And to top it off, I LOVE my 2015 Kia Optima! read more

My experience with Omar the salesman was a delight. There was absolutely no pressure in any of the process of buying my car. We talked about our families and it really felt like nothing I have ever experienced with buying a car. He even lined up my three choices of colors side by side to help with my decision making. I have never had the painstaking process of purchasing a car so seamless. After my initial application was filled out and my credit check done it took only about 15 minutes to sign papers in the finance department. Everybody was so helpful and sincere in the process. Great Experience! Also a shout out to George the Showroom Manager and closer, was unsure when I first met you and your initial offer but you came back much more realistic the second time around. It was a pleasure to get to know you and thank you for the experience. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who wants a pleasing no pressure experience from top to bottom. Thank You First Kia of Simi Valley! read more

First time here and the staff is just awesome. Jimmy was so helpful, had such a positive attitude, and he even stayed longer to take a look at my car so that I could have a way to get to work the next day. And Debbie on the phone and in person was so nice and helpful as well. read more

Avoid at all costs. Pleas save yourself the horrendous, rude, unprofessional customer service you'll ever experience. I was quoted for a Kia Sedona for a 'VIP' internet price and spoke to Maggie over the phone. She said the minivan was brand new for the price she quoted me. I drove from van nuys to Simi Valley to buy the car. I get there and receive rude, unprofessional, unwelcoming introduction. They tell me the cat is not actually brand new but has 3k miles on it. I'm like oh well let's try to make a deal anyways. They waste additional hour of our time and tell us that the price we receive was a mistake, they can't even sell it to us for that price. We're like how could it be a mistake because we spoke over the phone and verified and you sent us pictures that match and stock number matches and all. He tells us that we're crazy to think we can have that car for that price we're quoted. He wasted more time and gave us a price that's much above the quoted price. They go on about how they didn't tell us to come here it was Maggie (who works for them but apparently they're not responsible). I left as soon as I could without looking back. Please, please DO NOT GO HERE!! They're extremely shady, pushy, unprofessional, and plain rude people. read more

My husband and i went car shopping this past weekend. We visited Kia as they had some great specials advertised. The salesman who assisted us was great. The one star review is in regarding to management who put together our offer. We were looking at 30K sticker roughly. They asked us of our credit and we didn't want it run but knew it wasn't over 720 which is what you needed for the special apparently. The quotes they put in front of us were a joke. A lease for a 30K sticker was over $600 a month. I was blown away and did some math between the residual and payments. There was over 5K that went unanswered for. The best part- the sales manager couldn't explain what it was from. He tried and failed miserably. This was after waiting 30 minutes for them to even come up with this joke of an offer. Needless to say we went to Galpin ford.. for a 41K sticker at a monthly lease of under $500 we are very happy in our new Edge. read more

The sales men were very friendly to my family, and were not pushy. Our salesman went out of his way to find the Kia that my daughter was looking for. We first tried Galpin Kia because they were closer, but they were trying to push a car that my daughter did not like. First Kia did all they could to find the car that my daughter was looking for, and then went out of their way to get her a payment that she could afford. We tell all of our friends about how great the sales staff was to us. Thank you again read more

This was the worst experience that I have EVER had with a dealership. The sales staff were nice but the management staff needs to be fired. I left there angry, pissed and in tears! I would not recommend this dealer to my worst enemy! read more

This five star rating is for Robyn in the service dept! She is so good at customer service! The rest of the service dept is great, too, but Robyn goes above and beyond. I drive all the way from Santa Monica bc I trust my car here. And I know they're helping me make it last! And once it doesn't anymore, I'll likely buy my next Kia here. Thank you! read more

I was very satisfied with my time at First Kia. The salesman helping me was sincere and genuine and was more interested in helping me make an educated decision for my fiancé and I, rather than trying to force me into any car. This was particularly refreshing coming from a car salesman. His name was Marlon and I highly recommend him if you plan on shopping at First Kia. I went to the Ventura Kia to try and get a competing offer and they told me they wouldn't be able to beat the deal Marlon helped me get to. read more

First of all, if you're going to this dealership ask for Marlon. He was super friendly and helpful. Best of all, he did not pressure us one bit. My husband and I sat at his desk for hours crunching numbers and we never felt rushed. He was patient the entire time and extremely helpful in getting us to the price we needed. He politely excused himself when he felt my husband and I needed to talk, got me several waters (I'm 8 months pregnant), and talked to us like we were equals-no annoying salesman tactics at all!! The car practically sold itself after the haggling my husband went through, but our positive experience with Marlon was definitely a selling point. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase or our buying experience. Thanks Marlon!!!!!! read more

I'll let you decide. We took our 2011 Kia Optima in for service. We got new spark plugs and a few other things done, including their supposed big inspection. It cost in the $600 range. The very next day my wife and daughter were driving home from a doctor's appointment and the car just lost power on Topanga cyn. They coasted into a gas station and after a few hours we had the car back at First Kia. They told me the crankshaft had frozen but there was a recall for this and that I would be getting a mostly new engine at no cost. Sounds great until they want to charge me $525 for new hoses and belts. After talking to them the most they would come down is $75. Seeing as how they didn't catch this on the inspection and my wife and daughter could have been greatly injured if this had happened on the freeway, I expected a lot better deal than $75 off. It's a shame because we had what I thought was a good place to go for service with them. Very disappointed! read more

I have contacted first KIA of Simi Valley two nights ago online when you go to their website the customer service person shows up on the screen and her name is Andrea she says I'm on line and ready to help she never sleeps she's there 24/7 so I spoke to her via some kind of text message For about half an hour I was expecting to get some real information but I Got zero information, after spending half an hour with Andrea I was told that someone will contact me, I've been waiting for two days and no one bothered to contact me back, the only reason I contacted First KIA of Simi Valley is because of their 4 star rating reviews on yelp , after 2 days of waiting and waiting and waiting to hear back from a representative and nothing happens I have contacted them again this time via a phone call this time it got even worse I think I spoke to a manager by the name of Juan I can sum up the service I got over the phone as rude and the attitude I received was annoying and disgusting I felt like they are doing me the biggest favor in the world talking to me,I've never wrote a review and I usually do not complain on bad service I just cut ties with the business that gave me that service this time it was so annoying disgusting and bad that I had to write a review I'm sure people will continue to buy vehicles from them and I'm sure they wouldn't miss my business but I still want people to know to not expect too much from first KIA of Simi Valley unforgettable experience I would rather walk then buy a vehicle from them I had to put one star because I don't think that there such a thing as no stars but even the one star is too much way to much never again. read more
