Excellent customer service at their Service Dept. They repaired my vehicle promptly even though I came in 30mins before they close, and the manager and service staff were extremely kind and professional. read more

I was looking to buy my first car and a family friend referred Omar Abuzaid to my mother in 1st Kia. He helped me to find the perfect car that suits our budget. I just don't have enough words to appreciate him and his help, he made the process easy, quick, and fun. Not forgetting he gave me a very delicious cheesecake:) thank you !! read more

Very pleasant experience. Never felt pushed or rushed. Got exactly what we wanted for the exact price we were looking for. Employees are super friendly. Transaction time was minimal. First KIA of Simi Valley is about 60 miles from where I live, it was totally worth the drive. Will definitely reccommed First KIA of Simi Valley to others. read more

Great service. My boy Omar over there helped me out with my first car. Everyone there was really nice. Also shoutout to Sid for help with paperwork. Definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. read more

The salesmen were very pushy and I bought a brand new car and it had a scrape of paint off the drivers side door. Not even new.

Buying a car at Kia Simi was easy! Omar was very informative and helpful! Thank you Omar

I stopped at 1st Kia of Simi Valley today, just to check out the monthly leasing cost of a KIA Forte, and was greeted by Sales Consultant Omar AbuZaid. His friendliness, warmth, and patience were the reasons I drove away in a new car! If it were possible, I would give him more than 5 stars! read more

In spite of the fact that purchasing a vehicle can be one of the most enjoyable OR painful experiences we can have, 1ST KIA made it absolutely PAIN-FREE. From the moment we arrived, Benjamin, our salesperson, was courteous, pleasant, and extremely honest about what my options were. There was no attempt to steer me towards a vehicle that was more expensive than what I was looking for, and actually every attempt was made to get me the most for my trade-in, AND any applicable rebates. In less than a few hours, I was out of the dealership, in my brand new KIA SOUL, having gotten what I'm sure is the best price anyone could offer me. Patty has since followed up numerous times making sure I had a pleasant experience, and has assured me that in the event I ever need any follow-up service, all I need to do is make a phone call and they will make every effort to assist me. I've since recommended 1ST KIA to others and am confident they'll receive the same service I did. THANKS AGAIN Benjamin Villalpando, Johnny Kia, Cory Kronick, and the finance Guy (sorry I forgot your name) read more

Ok. Let me make this very clear that this 1 star is not for the Sales Rep Omar. He is a wonderful people person and any employer would consider this man as an asset. Not c heesy, and to the point! 5 stars for his personality and honesty. However, their assistant manager guy is exceptionally rude and probably is on a power trip as I am assuming as this is how it works when you get promoted from within. Just because of this guy I ended up giving my business to Kia of Valencia today. Their finance person was aggressive and accommodating at the same time. He bought my car for a new purchase rather than acting like a smart ass. As long as that man is working for them First kia will never get my business . read more

I highly recommend 1st Kia of Simi Valley to everyone shopping for a car!! I walked in and presented my situation, asked for immediate processing, and I got approved immediately. Typically, every car dealership will take 4 hours, going through the process with negotiating, proof of everything-1st Kia gave me no hassle and got the job done!!! The General Manager, Johnny is superb @ what he does and very experienced with all the processing requirements!!!!!!!! Sid, my Sales Rep. is outstanding! He knew exactly what I needed to qualify. He was very helpful and courteous!!!! Even more amazing, they gave me a GREAT deal on my Kia Optima!!! read more

I was looking to lease a car and had heard good things about this dealership. I went and the man that helped me was Michael Peters and he was absolutely amazing. He has a great personality, did not make me feel pressured and was super friendly. My friend and I went to the Toyota dealership to compare and the atmosphere was not as welcoming and the staff was not very helpful. Long story short I ended up leaving Kia with a 2016 kia forte and I absolutely love it! They also helped me figure out how much my insurance would be since I don't really know much about that stuff. This place feels like home. If you're a first time buyer I would really recommend this place because they are very helpful. read more

I went in to the dealership and leased a car from them, but they tried screw me over at every turn. The sales guy I had was good, but once you get to the finance people you better make sure you know what you're doing. They played with the numbers the whole time hoping I'd get confused and sign the deal. They tried charging more than the sticker price, when I pointed that out they apologized for the innocent mistake and came back with the interest (money factor) jacked up even higher. I pointed that out and got more lies. They also tried to give me 11k less for a trade in than they agreed to. The whole time they were playing dumb like they didn't know what was happening, but they were sure eager to have me sign the paper. I heard another family yelling at them after they had just finished up all of their paperwork. These guys are why car dealerships get a bad name. Not all dealerships are like this. We leased another car the same weekend from another dealer and had great experience and an honest transaction. If you have to buy from First Kia like I did (needed the car that day and they had the only car within 130 miles) please make sure you understand finance (or leasing) well or you will get taken advantage of. Also, to be clear, we weren't haggling over a hundred bucks. They were trying to dishonestly extract thousands of dollars from me. I've been involved with the purchase/lease of several vehicles and have never had an experience like this. I truly feel bad for a family that doesn't have much experience buying cars who goes in there. Edit: Just as a cherry on top they are also delaying a check that they are supposed to send me for the trade in. Classy joint. read more

Horrible customer service. Wish I could post negative stars. Rude and unprofessional. Wasted my time. Lied to me and treated me poorly. Found Galpin Kia on Sepulveda and they were awesome! Don't go to this dealership for service!!! Worst I've ever dealt with!!! read more

Horrible experience STAY AWAY. I generally do not write reviews however my experience with First Kia made me write this. I was in the market for 2013 Optima SX since the 14 were coming out and dealers were getting rid of older inventory. I requested some quotes over the internet at cars.com and was contacted by Carol at First Kia to schedule an appointment to come in, I informed her that due to the distance involved (approx 40 miles away) I wanted to know exactly what they had and the pricing. She quoted me an incredible price which I repeated the details back to her to confirm that the pricing being offered. I made an appointment and went to the dealership. After a 40 mile drive I arrived and requested to see the car. There was no mistake in which car that Carol had quoted me since they only had one with the specific options and color I had discussed. At this point Johnny Kia (the name on his business card) proceeded to tell me that there was no way I could have been offered the vehicle at the price quoted. I requested to speak to Carol, who surprisingly was unavailable. I was then told that they would have to check the "tapes" I found this odd since I was never informed that I was being recorded. After about five minutes I was informed that Carol was quoting me the price on a different color car lacking the options I wanted. When I asked to hear the tape I was informed by the manager that THERE WERE NO TAPES. I proceed to explain to the manager that I was not an idoit, I did not misunderstand, I had taken notes during the conversation with Carol and lastly why would I drive 40 miles on something that I made up. The manager staid he would give me a great deal on another vehicle. I had done my research and spoken to several other reputable dealers and knew the pricing on the vehicles. To add insult to injury the manager then tried to sell me a similar car, which was the wrong color, at a lousy price and I left. I apologize for the rambling but just want to let everyone know that these guys are crooks and will try to bait and switch you once you arrive. read more

Don't go there ever!!!! They give out your personal information to other people!! I went there just to do a test drive and got a call a few hours later from some man telling me he wanted to buy my car and that he got my number from the Kia in Simi. This is my favorite dealership. Everyone is very sweet and generous. They're great to work with and they helped me out so much. Cameron was amazing to work with. This place has horrible customer service and they lie. I purchased a car here in 2011 and all the promises were forgotten once we drove off the lot. I tried again this week to work on a deal after they solicited me by mail to trade my car in and the salesmen were horrible. No follow up calls and when they finally did they had one excuse. WE ARE SO BUSY! They also told me they were short handed in the sales dept. No wonder this place is terrible. They can't find anybody to work there how can they sell cars. Kia is a great car. Take your business elsewhere. I did. read more

Very bad service. Went in ready to buy a car after being contacted several times by Internet sales marketer Patty Brown due to an inquiry I made through cars direct. When I went in they seemed flabbergasted when I mentioned cars direct like they had no affiliation and in addition seemed to have no interest in my business despite me being the only customer there for hours. They were not willing to negotiate whatsoever and attempted to avoid any of the manufacturer promotions that were going on. It was a big waste of time and am sorry I went there. They still contact me to try to get me to come back. I got a great deal at Kia downtown and am very happy I did not go through with any purchases here at first kia. In addition they put multiple requests in for high interest rate loanso instead of using the promotion through Kia. They have now messed up my credit and I'm getting mail from multiple credit unions mentioning 9% interests rates that I did not consent to. My score has already dropped almost 30 points due to their unauthorized credit applications to outside financing companies. At downtown la Kia I got the Kia financing promotion of 0% April no questions no hassle. Be careful if you shop at first Kia they are shady. read more

Had the worst experience today. The lady in the front desk had the worst attitude Will not come back again . Robyn was excellent.

Went and bought my daughter her first car. I wasn't expecting it to be so simple and easy. Tim Englehart was the easiest salesman to work with and I can't recommend this place enough. Good honest people and yes I know it's hard to believe when talking about used car people but it's true. read more

Do not purchase your car here or get it serviced. Service department is riddled with staff who are dishonest and utter failures in customer service (esp. the service manager Guy Ankeny). The most recent dealing involved trying to get service records for a vehicle we purchased and had serviced there (endless issues ever since we purchased a brand new Kia Sorrento!). We were told to show up in person (as an ID was required) but when we got there, this Guy Ankeny states, "Our job is not to keep your service records." States that it will be e-mailed in 48 hours when another staff the day before stated that it would only take 30 minutes and be ready in the morning. Little does he know it is Kia corporate who asked us for these records. So after completing this review, I will proceed to file other complaints against this dealership to other consumer regulatory agencies and all of social media so that no other customer has to treated this way again. And when my husband took a photo of his badge so that he can document who he spoke to, Guy Ankeny stated,"I photograph well." Not exactly a statement from someone who cares about the customer or representing the Kia organization in the way that corporate would want ... but maybe they do seeing how he continues to treat customers this way based on other reviews I have seen. read more

If I could give it less stars, I would. "Service after the sale" is not just a catchphrase, it's a lie. I have purchased TWO cars from this dealership and in November 2014 gave a 5 star review. I want to retract that. On July 8th, 2015, I went to leave for work as usual in my 2012 Mazda 2, that I purchased used for 1st Kia in January 2013. At the time of purchase I was assured the car was in proper running order. There was no reason for me to believe otherwise. Anyway, on the morning of the 8th, my battery was dead. I called AAA to get a jumpstart and was informed by the technician that only was the battery in my 2012 car beyond recharging, it was probably older than the car itself and not even a manufacturer approved replacement. I then had to pay $100 for a new, proper battery so I could get to work. It was suggested to me that since this battery had no business being in my car in the 1st place, I should request that the dealership reimburse me for the money I had to spend, so I contacted them. My first call was answered by a gentleman who did not identify himself, who replied to my request with "that's a Mazda, this is a Kia dealership, what do you want me to do about it"? I later came to find out he was the used car manager. I then asked to speak to his manager, it took me 3 tries, but I eventually got to Vince, who seemed to be very pleasant, but ineffectual. He told me he would see what could be done and would call me back. After waiting a day, I called him back and he told me the "vendor responsible" was willing to give me a new battery. I reminded him that I already had a new battery, thanks, but I'd really like to get a refund though. He said they wouldn't do it. I asked for the name of the company so I could take it up with them and he told me he would have someone call me with that information. I guess the name slipped his mind while we were talking. At that point, pretty sure I will never see the refund, I asked to speak to the manager of the dealership, just to let him know how disappointing this whole experience has been for me. I was told he would call me. Still waiting on that call too. I guess I can just chalk this up to being a $100 learning experience, and hope that there aren't any other questionable, used, not manufacturer authorized parts on my car. Like the tires or airbags. ***fingers crossed*** I hope it was worth the $100. read more

I just bought a 2016 Kia Soul from Tim Englehart at 1st Kia in Simi Valley. I am not an easy person to deal with, but Tim was kind, understanding and very professional. I'd have to say that I didn't expect getting a car today, BUT with the best help, and most patient of people, OMAR was honestly able to get me the exact deal I was wishing for(and did not expect to get). Of course it took some revisions and adjusting but I couldn't be happier. SID was also determined in getting us what we were asking for ! I came to Simi Valley Kia after dealing with Kia Sherman oaks, and being completely dissatisfied. I had gotten a lease from Kia Sherman oaks, and every time I had to deal with them, I had to put up with rude customer service. Coming to Simi Valley Kia was so refreshing from the moment I walked in. I believe everything happens for a reason, and we were meant to get Omar's help. He wasn't sketchy at all, I didn't at any point feel like he was just interested in making JUST a sale. He gave us his honest advice and best professional input. I am genuinely happy with the outcome, and I am grateful for Omar, Sid and the Kia staff for taking care of me ! Yay I'm so excited for my new Kia Sorento !!!!!! read more

Sales department is the WORST!! The WORST customer service EVER!! This was our second attempt, in 3 years, to purchase a car here, trying to keep our money in our city, and when we FINALLY got a hold of the "finance mgr" he made it sound as if we were bothering him! Taking up his time. The sales staff could of helped us from the beginning but they did not want to be bothered by us trying to purchase our car after a lease. Guess it wasn't a BIG enough pay check for them!! So we went to Ventura, where we were treated with the customer service that all should be treated with!! (even walked out with a NEW CAR!!) Will NEVER recommend this sales department, even if last one standing!! read more

0 stars on this one...The worst experience of my life! I bought a Kia here once before and got really screwed. I loved my Kia Sportage so I just wrote it off to an extremely dishonest guy taking advantage of a woman who had just lost the last of her family and clearly was alone. This time still alone overweight and scared to death to try this again I pick out my car a Kia Soul...cheapest one I could find. I started negotiating and a old guy friend who recently tried to get ahold of me walks in....I was devastated...I was down on my luck in life and over weight I couldn't cope with this so I told the salesman this guy could not see me....please take me to a back room and I explained my story. I just wanted to get out of there...I was a mess and falling apart. He promised me the best deal and told me he would make up for the awful deal I experienced with my first Kia. They totally raped me on my deal and then proceeded to gossip to my guy friend to encourage him to buy a car....It took all of three days for it to get back to me. They told him everything....including my weight! Are there no boundaries on how low someone will sink for money. Now I drive very few miles a day and they started harassing me to come and get my fist oil change even though I was under a thousand miles. I did my homework and checked my legal obligations and it was not until three thousand miles. I would never use them anyway but these people...if you can call them that are the lowest ever. BEWARE! Don't let this happen to you.....I know the circumstances are rare.....but they sure jumped on it when they saw me incapable of handling life... I hope they get there's ! Buy the way they would not let me post this review without hitting at least one star.......I give them a minus 10,000 stars! read more

I took my Sportage here for service and it was a great experience. I researched other dealers in the area and their service departments had terrible reviews. This is by far the worst car dealership I have ever been to. They lied about application and my credit rating, I was told Kia would not finance myself or my daughter (they didn't want us) for a buy or purchase. They only showed me 1 credit score and they had a guy from a Nissan dealership trying to do my financing????? They would not disclose what the difference was from lease to buy being that their quote showed the same price? They just said oh it doesn't matter it is what your payments are. HAHAHAHA - They were trying to rip us off anyway they could. I would be very careful if you are looking to buy a car from them. Benjamin and Henry would working together on this so BEWARE! I ended up buying a car from Kia Valenica - AWESOME service and beyond. Got us in the car with KIA Financing go figure at an $80 a month lesser payment. They have lot's more to choose from. CRAPIEST car dealership I have every had to deal with. Not only do the car salesman suck as@ they just give you the run around and then try to make a deal. My husband and I walked on the lot checking out some Vehicles at Simi Valley Kia Dealership, when one of the Salesmen approached us asking if he can help. We let him know we are looking for a Midsize SUV but with a 4 Cylinder engine to get better Gas mileage and we let him know that we only had 2 hours' time because we had to pick up our Son from School. He found us the right Vehicle immediately. The asking price was a little high but we made an offer and they worked with us until we agreed on a price and a monthly payment. When we went into financing it got even better, the finance Manager actually lowered the payment that we agreed on and added additional warranty on the Car. We were in and out of there within less than 2 hours and happily drove the Vehicle off the lot. All and all we were 100% Satisfied and we want to thank the whole Team at first Kia Simi Valley for making our Car buying experience seamless, wonderful and easy. read more

Let me first start by saying Kia did help me get my first car and helped getting everything approved and done great when I first bought my car, however the reason for this review is not about the company itself but for one guy... Mr. Johnny Kia. Like I said Kia was great in helping me get my car but come a few months down the road, my car started to oxidate now it's normal for cars to do that but I'm not to sure about a car that's barely 5 years old. The reasoning behind the oxidation is that my car has two different colors of paint. I noticed it when I took it into a shop to have it detailed that the car has two tone paint! When we called Kia, and this is where the man Johnny Kia comes in, he said it's not their problem when it comes to stuff like this and not only that but hung up in the middle of a phone call! How professional!! Just because you have an upset customer, does not mean you hang up in the middle of a phone call. Some customer service you guys have here with the people behind the phones like Johnny. Thanks Kia for the two tone paint car and Johnny for having the best customer service and hanging up in the middle of the phone call read more

My girlfriend and I went on Tuesday to look at a Kia Forte GT. It was dead, and we were greeted relatively quickly by a salesman. We started talking, and explained that I may need to replace my car that is possibly totaled but still owe money on. It seemed to cause him to lose any interest, and only bothered to unlock the car after we stood outside looking through the windows for a few minutes. He didn't even bother to ask if we wanted to test drive it (which is probably the most important thing when looking at a performance model), and did not seem very knowledgeable on the cars. He told me the only difference was a turbo in the GT, which is incorrect, resorted to looking at the window sticker for features and told me the car had leather seats when it was clearly cloth. Once I got back out, he then asked what my girlfriend drove in an apparent attempt to possibly make a sale off her. I expressed interest in a Honda Civic which he walked me to, then was "being called for at the showroom" and left, but told us the "sales manager" would take over. A man came by and told us if we had any questions to ask him, and then walked away. We left shortly after. We were never once asked for our names, a phone number, or given a business card. Ended up buying a new Toyota. read more
