This post is late but I never officially got to thank Collin at 1st Kia for making my car buying experience a walk in the park! I went in on a Tuesday to bring my Kia at the time in for a service, my lease was up in about a week and I needed to fix a few things before turning the car in. After dealing with their wonderful and always kind service dept, I would have to wait for my car to be done. I was introduced to Collin as he walked by the service counter and after talking for a moment I said I'd love to see the new Kia's. He immediately grabbed me a water and took me out to the lot to see the new cars. I love cars and love the kias, so I was excited to take a peak. Keep in mind I was 100% not coming back to Kia once my lease was turned in! I wanted a change of scenery. Long story short, I came back 4 days later and bought a newer better Kia for an amazing deal all because Collin. He was truly wonderful! What I loved was his honesty, he didn't make me feel like I was some customer on the lot waiting to be pounced on. He listened intently as I frankly told him what I was willing to pay, what I wanted in a new car and what I absolutely didn't want. If I didn't get what I wanted, I'd walk. He showed me every single car on the lot practically, fully wanting me to make sure I got what I wanted and knew what I wanted. He made it all happen with his manager Bob and the experience was truly fantastic. I found the Kia that I dreamt of, and managed to fit it in my price range all because of Collin and Bob. Wow...I am shocked to read those previous posts. My experience was completely different, very professional and smooth AND I got a a great car at a price even lower than I had anticipated. I dealt with Michael Peters who was very cordial and accommodating. I was looking to lease a car and possibly trade in my current vehicle if the price was right. We test drove an Optima and decided to go in and talk numbers. Michael never pressured and seemed to look at a lot of angles in order to get us the best deal. Fazzie (Michael's boss) came back with an offer we couldn't refuse...a monthly payment totaling more than half of what I am currently paying on my 7 yr old car. Wow can not say enough about this KIA dealer! I bought my KIA from the Ventura dealership in CA. Had and issue that should have been covered by warranty and they refuse to fix it, mind you this was only a year old at the time. So then my paint was damaged on the top railings, I bought it into the Simi Valley Dealer (this one) and they could not have been more helpful and nice! They ordered the parts and updated me when they will come in. Then once they were in put them on my Sportage and wash and vacuumed the whole car! All for no charge at all!!! That is what I call great customer service. I recommend this dealership. Will definitely go here for all things KIA! I have never had such a great experience with any dealer. Ok first of all Cody was very polite and gracious. He showed me only what I wanted to see. So that is why I'm giving 5 stars. I purchase on 7-27-2014 I made up my mind on which soul in about 15 minutes. The rest of the process took too long. Getting the boss to give the sale price took too long. I think I waited a bout an hour and a half. (3 stars) I had to wait for the sales pitch of the extra warrantees for another half hour. No one did the "old hard sell" but making you wait sooooo long is the new tactic I guess. I have been shopping via COSTCO and via the KIA Corporate website. I thought I was dealing with the "COSTCO program" and I was not and I repeatedly asked for the COSTCO list. I was never corrected and told I was never should the list or I had mixed them up with another dealer and never corrected either way. I felt that was dishonest The younger me would have walked.... Micky was our sales rep while buying a car last weekend. He was really nice and helpful, he answered all of our questions. He was not pushy or manipulative at all. He was really honest when it cam down to two different cars we were stuck on, he gave his opinion on which one he thought would be best for us. Do not purchase your car here or get it serviced. Service department is riddled with staff who are dishonest and utter failures in customer service (esp. the service manager Guy Ankeny). The most recent dealing involved trying to get service records for a vehicle we purchased and had serviced there (endless issues ever since we purchased a brand new Kia Sorrento!). We were told to show up in person (as an ID was required) but when we got there, this Guy Ankeny states, "Our job is not to keep your service records." States that it will be e-mailed in 48 hours when another staff the day before stated that it would only take 30 minutes and be ready in the morning. Little does he know it is Kia corporate who asked us for these records. So after completing this review, I will proceed to file other complaints against this dealership to other consumer regulatory agencies and all of social media so that no other customer has to treated this way again. And when my husband took a photo of his badge so that he can document who he spoke to, Guy Ankeny stated,"I photograph well." Not exactly a statement from someone who cares about the customer or representing the Kia organization in the way that corporate would want ... but maybe they do seeing how he continues to treat customers this way based on other reviews I have seen. read more
