Bought wife a new car in feb. Sales guy said we get a free year of oil changes. Fast forward - wife went in for an oil change and requested full synthetic... they didn't put this in (which we were paying more for, then tried to charge us for our free oil change) Today - my wife asks for a ride and when I show up the manager Greg is yelling at her so she leaves and as I am leaving he is yelling at me recording my company truck saying he is going to write a bad review on my company page? Like what the heck? For what? So I informed him that would be libel and illegal.... his response was "what you guys are doing is illegal as well" I am absolutely blown away by this guy greg... and as I look through the reviews we are not the only ones he has done this to. My wife recorded a video and I already talked to my lawyer... paperwork is being filed Monday. He might not want to post any bad reviews on my company website... I am not the one that is at fault here. So major warning - if the sales guys promise you something don't believe it. Luckily we knew this and got ours in writing! read more

I went to #firstkiaofsimivalley this afternoon to look their #EV6 which had a sticker of $53,360. The sticker on the window was $61,358!! They added a $7k "market premium", added two paint additive scams of $499 each and a ridiculous cost for a Level 2 charger. Greedy, very greedy! Don't shop here. Go buy a Mustang Mach--E GT and take advantage of the $7500 tax credit and get a better vehicle. I hope #kiamotors is listening and takes action against this type of shit. read more

Service sucks. My is having engine trouble and they won't even try to fix it. They just shrug it off like it's nothing. It is under warranty and they kept my car for two weeks no rental. I had to pay over $1,000 for a rental and no reimbursement or even maybe a discounted rate for the rental or anything. Having to drive all the way to Carson to go to another dealer. Sid was professional and friendly and provided all the information i needed to make a decision. He also got me a stellar deal on financing! They are not very responsive to calls. The 855 number on Google and Yelp is disconnected. Someone should probably pay attention to these details. The number on their website works though. I spoke with one of the salespeople who said he would call back but never did. I left a message for one of the managers. No call back. Hello? It's usually a good idea to call potential customers back. Unfortunately, this is the second Kia dealership I have dealt with and unfortunately the people I am encountering are disappointing. I went to take my car for regular service maintenance and was greeted by Oscar. Oscar at the service station explained to me the service recommended for my vehicle, answered my questions in great detail, and made my visit to the dealership pleasurable. Even though the service team took a while to service my car because my AC compressor was out, Oscar went out of his way to diligently research my extended warranty covered the repair. While waiting at the dealership, I was offered complimentary coffee and hot chocolate, which is located in the waiting room. I also took the time to browse the lot to look at the newer vehicles that Kia is selling. I met with a car salesman, Juan, and he provided me with insight into the new vehicles on the lot and showed me the new features of several of the vehicles. Overall, during my three-hour stay, I notice the staff hustling to get their assignments/duties completed, I also observed Oscar speaking with other customers and providing the same great service I received, and the sales staff attending the guest roaming the dealership lot. I would recommend that Kia owners get their service maintenance performed here. read more

I had a terrible experience at 1st Kia in Simi Valley. They tried to claim I needed a new $8,000 transmission due to my negligence, despite my car being under warranty with less than 50k miles and recalls out for my vehicle. They couldn't fulfill the recall due to lack of documentation of an oil service within the last 3 YEARS. After going elsewhere to get a 2nd opinion, I found out within 10 minutes that all I needed were spark plugs and knock sensors which came out to $650. It's disappointing that a licensed Kia dealership couldn't properly diagnose my car, if anyone was negligent during this transaction it was Greg (Service Manager) & Brian (Service Rep). Greg then threatened to take me to collections because I put a stop payment on the check for the $190 false diagnosis. Highly recommend you skip this scam all together and find actual skilled professionals. read more

Last week I took my Kia to get car recall fixed. Made an appointment at Kia dealership in Simi, but when I got there, the gentleman man who initially helped asked me if I leased the car here and when I said No, he immediately said that I should take it to where I leased the car from. When I said that I have an appointment, he got upset and asked me to wait. Inspite of having an appointment, I had to wait over 1 hr to get him come back to me. He was very rude and kept mumbling that we shouldn't be here and that's when I got upset and requested someone else to help me. Kia is known for its superior service but that wasn't the case here. Employees represent the brand and are the face of the brand. If they treat customers differently based on where the car was leased/ purchased then it's just wrong. I reached out to the manager of the service dept, but hasn't gotten any response yet. I plan to write to the CEO to get his attention to this negative experience just so someone else wouldn't have similar experience and be discriminated just because we didn't lease from this particular dealership. Regardless, where the vehicle is leased/purchased, Kia should help fix their manufacturing defects. When I asked for this gentleman's name, other employees just apologized to me and didn't share his name. read more

Well, I knew I picked a bad day to go car shopping, because we were in the middle of a hurricane, we ended up out there. I called this dealership from pretty far away to find out about the cost of a car I was interested in. Knowing how far we'd be driving, the dealer quoted me the sticker price. When I arrived at the dealership, I learned that they were asking $5000 over the sticker price. That was a very slimy version of bait and switch, especially on a day with such bad weather this dealership lost my business. read more
