I've been bringing my cars here for several years now and they have always been quick, courteous and helpful. One time one of the cars didn't pass on the first try, it turned out to be a faulty gas cap seal. They replaced it for a good price and retested for free. 11/10 service. Well, 5/5 since that's what yelp allows. Long story short, I just bought my vehicle and I came in during my lunch break from work. He quickly handled everything and sent the DMV the information so I didn't need to go. He printed me a copy and sent me on my way without any problems. Very cheap compared to a few other places I've tried before! I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area! read more

I took my car here to get the smog done. They were quick and communicative. Their yard is small, so it's hard to get your car in, but they have seating while you wait. They told me I FAILED my SMOG test and they can't say why because they're not a mechanic. I then took my same car 5 minutes down the road to another shop, and the car PASSED SMOG. I'm not sure if it was their equipment or the tech, but I don't think I'll be returning. I paid $55 since I paid with a credit card. The other location charged me $51. read more

I went to them and my car didn't pass because the battery wasn't full charged and wiped out the computer information. Jason told me to drive 100 miles and come back. It's still not cleared but everything else was ok so he had the mechanic next door look at my car and he told me to drive it more and come back. It passed and Jason told me that he only helps his customers. Go and ask for Jason and he'll take good care of you. Tell him that you saw my review. read more

If you need a smog check for your car, try coming here to First class Smog in Fullerton, CA. If you also check in while you're here, Yelp will provide $20 discount for your first service (which can be applied for your smog test) and you should be in and out within half an hour. The owner was friendly and nice, offered me a seat to wait until the test was completed, and made me very comfortable as a customer. Got the dreaded notice from DMV indicating I need to get a smog check done at a STAR Certified place. This was one of the few places with this logo so decided to give it a try. Process was pretty quick and simple. I think you can make an appointment but the owner told me I can just show up. I came by on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded. There was only one person ahead of me. For my car I didn't even have to pull it into a bay or anything. The owner just plugged some device into my OBD port and that was the whole test. Luckily I passed, despite having a rather old car with high mileage. Not sure what a typical smog check costs but I thought the price was very reasonable. I was charged a flat fee which included submitting the documents electronically to DMV. Only main drawback with this place is the limited parking, as it shares a space with another mechanic shop. read more

I recently had a great experience with Action Auto and wanted to share…read more My Honda CR-Z driver-side door handle mechanism stopped working (apparently a common issue with these cars). I had already purchased an OEM replacement handle from an authorized Honda parts dealer, and initially planned to have the dealership install it. However, the dealership quoted me a very high labor cost and required me to leave my car overnight due to their busy schedule. After doing some research, I found Action Auto in Cypress and spoke with Mark. From the very first phone call, Mark was friendly, professional, and transparent. Best of all, his quote was about half the price of what the dealership wanted to charge. The convenience was a huge bonus. They told me I could bring my car in anytime between 8am-5pm (and even Sundays 8am-3pm). I dropped off my car at 8:30am, and it was ready by lunchtime the same day. On top of that, they even offered a complimentary shuttle ride home--something the dealership no longer provides. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Mark's customer service was outstanding both over the phone and in person. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, and I noticed several repeat customers while I was there, which says a lot about their reputation. Most importantly, my door handle works perfectly now--just like when I first bought the car. I'll definitely be coming back to Action Auto for future repairs. I pulled in to this place, the guy pulled my car into the testing area and we began to chat as he was getting my car ready. When I finally settled in to do some reading, he was already pulling my car out. I was done; he had run the check while we were talking. Before I could even gather all my stuff, he was handing me the certificate, charging me the amount we agreed on with no nonsense or upselling and sending me on my way. Quickest, most effortless smog I've ever had and right in my neighborhood. Cheapest smog check station ive been to. Sure, I was cynical about the reviews on this place. That's alotta stars for an emissions tester. Well, it deserves every one of them. This place does everything right. It's a quick test, no wait, friendly staff--the guy even made funny faces to entertain my antsy two year old. Went to First Class Smog after seeing all the great reviews this facility had, their service was fast, friendly, and very affordable/efficient. The people working here at this facility truly do have a passion for smogging vehicles. They are very knowledgeable of smogging cars. They are extremely fast. They hold there value of there name First Class Service. I will definitely be returning back for my future smog checks along with referring my people here for smog checks if they ever need one. The service I requested was definitely met and much more. They offer snacks, water as you wait. I never been to a smog check station where they offer you snacks and water as you wait for your smog check. Highly recommend this place to anyone that needs a smog check. Do not hesitate or even think about this facility twice. Many 5 star reviews speak for itself. Thankful I found a smog check station that values their customers, great customer service, great work first class smog. Truly honestly, humble, and great people. They even have conversations with you as they are smogging the vehicle. Will highly recommend coming to First Class Smog Check. They are extremely fast and friendly here at this facility. Quality of work was definitely met I will be recommend my family and friends here. They are awesome, the value of work is definitely here. Thank you so much for making this easy for me and my wife, also very close to home. Harold was fast, efficient, and trustworthy. He definitely does know what he is doing. They even offer you snacks and beverages as you wait, every other shop I've been to for a smog check so not offer anything, not even a chair to sit down. They have inside and outside waiting rooms. Thanks for having an awesome customer service. Will be returning for all my future smog needs and will definitely recommend family and friends to come here to get a smog check done if needed!!!!!! Don't think about this facility twice. It was time for the first smog test I had to do in decades and I was dreading the prospect. A quick search on Yelp showed this place as getting stellar reviews and I decided to give it a shot. Even though I figured it would be pretty busy, I called over to the shop and Harold said he could get me in right away. I arrived early and Harold greeted me at my car with an introduction, a handshake, and a smile. We were off to a good start. He got my car in right away and explained the process Just like everyone else on Yelp, After a more 15 minutes, I left with everything handled. Came here to get a smog check. The gentleman here is very nice and respectful. Quality work is definitely here at First Class Smog. The work ethic they provide is extremely good. They definitely do take smog checks serious and obey all rules and regulations in compliance with the BAR. I would highly recommend any of my family and friends to this smog check station. I've been to other smog shops and they don't have the price like this smog check station. They check very carefully, and fast. Truly wouldn't regret coming here again for any of my smog needs. I had a great experience at First Class Smog. They were incredibly efficient! My smog check was done quickly. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I also really appreciated that they accept walk-ins, which made it super convenient. I went for a smog check and came out in less than 20 minutes. The technician, George, greet me and checked me in. He was informing me throughout the process. While I was waiting for the job in the waiting room, George offered me ice cold Coke. I was very pleased with his service and from now on George is the guy for all my smog's. They have great costumer service which I extremely appreciate. While I waited, they offered me a soda and water. Their waiting room was very well maintained. Polite and has a room to wait for my car. My coupon for 27.75 smog plus tax and certification. 38.00 total. A good deal! Most smog test stations don't have a waiting room. I was also offered coffee or water. No long wait and friendly service. read more
