If you have an older car, bringing your car in for a smog can be daunting... because of this, I tend to enjoy going to smog locations where the owner/operators are helpful, knowledgable, and laid back. That's exactly the experience I had with First Class Smog. I was able to get my car smogged and asked the owner tons of questions to which he answered with great patience, willingness, and light heartedness. I will most definitely be coming back here whenever I need to get my cars smogged. read more

George is the best! I have all my family go to him. Great and honest service. You don't find that anymore. Always gives coupon price when I go and works very hard to get you out as soon as possible. I never had any issues and my family hasn't either. Even when my grandma didn't pass he retested for free and she did pass! We took to mechanic like he said and they drove it for 150 miles and it was good to go. Thank you George for outstanding work! I wouldn't have found you without research but it was worth it. Do not settle for places that charge like crazy, go support the small business. It is by a car mechanic shop which makes finding parking and getting in stressful but George will take care of you. read more

Super fast, super friendly. This isn't a fancy place. It's small and no frills, but they got me out in 15 minutes and were a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely come back. read more

Super quick and friendly smog check. I went early in the morning when they opened and was tended to immediately.

Oh my fast and friendly service. Do not be put off by the small auto mechanic facade. George is fast and efficient. For newer vehicles 2000, he uses a remote device so no pulling on to wheel accelerator. No inside waiting but social distance chairs in shade are available. I called to check on walk in or need and appt, he does both. The price is good too, I had used a Groupon for the smog check portion, certificate and DMV was extra 20$. Will certainly recommend and use again. Thank you read more

To the owners reply there was no fine print I looked and I can even send you a screen shot. No where does it say $8.25 and $7 something for Groupon processing fee. When you reply place state facts... read more

First class smog is the place to go , Jorge the owner of the smog shop is friendly, responsive, communicative. He informed me what procedure to take on vehicles that need to be passed for smog . Ex a vehicle wasn't passing smog because it needed a drive cycle. He explained the process and check it out once it was completed. Jorge is amazing in customer service and will drive miles and hours to get this amazing service. read more

Used them many times over the last few years, normally no issues but recently they have gone down hill. Between not honoring their own deals to playing bait and switch with long time customers.... definitely wont be using them again. read more

Harold was quick to respond on the phone and gave a warm welcome to the business as he proceeded to immediately start the process of the smog check. Very hospitable by offering both water as well as snacks including knowledge as to why the smog is done. A well rounded, quick and welcoming place to go if you need a smog check done right! Definitely would recommend to people new to the area and any locals who need their car checked. read more

George is very nice and was able to see me right away. In and out real quick. He gave me a yelp discount. Go see George

Terrible service, let me start by saying the man who did my smog is shady. He ran my smog knowing good and well my intake didn't have a carb legal sticker on it, unbeknownst to me. But he did it any way so he could get 20 more dollars out of me for a retest. My vehicle passed smog, but because it didn't have that sticker it didn't pass. I already knew that, but I didn't know my intake didn't have the sticker on it yet. He knew it, ran the rest anyways and tried to get more money out of me. In short, it was disservice by a dishonest man. Take your money elsewhere. read more

Had my 1989 Dodge truck smog tested today . Before I went here I went to two other shops the first one said he couldn't test it because it had to be a " Star " I looked at the sign that said STAR STATION TEST ONLY he said he will be a Stat again in two weeks. I had the truck tested here a few weeks ago and it failed because the computer in the truck had not reset. So I went to a station that did my brother in law truck for $ 65.00 After 20 minutes waiting he tells me he can't test it because it failed in the past. I ask him where should I go? He tells me to go back to the shop that tested it before. Oh great I'm screwed. I called around and the few shops that will do pre 2000 vehicles wanted $ 75 and up. I call this shop and told him about it failing he said not a problem come on down. George got right on it. It passed (Thank God) and he charged me only $ 50 Great place to get your car/truck tested. Hopefully I won't need another test in California again. read more

This is my first time going here didn't take long finished in about 15 minutes the gentleman even had mask on (COVID)

I was looking for a smog place and found this via Groupon. After reading all of the positive reviews, I decided to give it a try and purchased the Groupon. I was not disappointed. Other yelpers were right, the place was small and I actually drove past it. But once I was there, the owner greeted me right away. He was friendly, helpful and approachable. He referred me to a seat and told me he would take care of everything. And he did. The entire process took no more than 15 minutes!!!! While I was waiting, another customer showed up. Despite doing everything by himself, he greeted the next customer right away and made them feel welcome. Most definitely recommend to bring your vehicles there and this will be my go to smog check from now on. I paid $22 on Groupon plus $13 for certificate. Great deal, great service and great way to support our small businesses. read more

I wish I would have went here first!!! I went to another smog place literally around the corner from my brothers house "Smog Check Pros of Buena Park" and they said they were open at 9AM.. called twice (no answer) and finally got sick of waiting until 10AM. So I went here based off of the reviews. I was literally in and out of there in 10 minutes max. George was happy to assist as soon as I got out of my car, handed him my paperwork, asked to use the restroom, came out, and the car was done. $40 - Done!! read more
