I was assuming with any luck, I might get an appointment within 30 days considering what is going on with this economy and the lack of supplies and workers. I chose a special color that Eric put together for me that is a mix of gray and tan, since the exterior of my house is tan and the interior is gray, so the garage is a mixture of both. My garage floors were in poor condition and it seemed like getting them epoxied would be the easiest option, plus I liked the aesthetics. I didn't really have a lot of time to research products and techniques so I just ended up choosing a company that I though had fair prices and had good reviews. Well long story short I kept calling them and emailing them days before I was scheduled to try to change the service date and they never responded. I was so fed up with their lack of response that I decided to waste more time finding another company instead. I hopped on yelp to send out messages to different companies about my project and Eric (owner) from First Class Coatings was the first to respond to me. Within a few minutes we were on the phone discussing my project. He gave me a lot of insight into the products they used and their techniques, and I certainly appreciated his prompt response. I still decided to get a few more quotes from other reputable companies before jumping the gun since choosing hastily caused me problems in the first place. After talking to a few more companies and gathering more information, I decided to work with Eric since we had spoken about my small project several times on the phone already, and I could feel that he was sincere and knowledgeable. I finally felt like I was in good hands and didn't expect any issues with not being called back. His crew came out Monday morning and worked all day grinding and patching up my floors and stem walls. Before they left that day the first layers were down. The next day they came back and finished up the following layers, Eric was there to inspect and wrap up. We went with a full chip floor to hide some of the more egregious imperfections, and I am very happy with how they turned out. No one needs to know how bad they looked beforehand...no one... Overall I'm super glad to have found First Class Coatings and saved myself the headache of dealing with an inferior company who won't even respond. Any homeowner can attest that contracting work is time consuming and no one wants to deal with problems, let alone paying for those problems. I'll definitely use their company for the next house we buy if we stay in AZ. Just the time I save will be worth it. Eric has been doing this for a long time and it shows. Take a look at my pictures at my awesome floors! before shot included. I loved the color, and it didn't turn out as busy as I thought it would be. But for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. A few side notes and tips 1. the flakes end up everywhere, on lawns, landscape rocks, and inside cabinets even. Be ready to vacuum the insides of your cabinets. 2. make sure you talk through the process and details with the crew that comes out if they weren't the ones you talked to in the beginning. Things get lost in translation. A joint I didn't intend to have worked on got worked on, and the toe kicks on the cabinets I asked to be done weren't. It wasn't a big deal since they just did them at the end when I pointed it out. That's a lesson for me as well since I try not to hover when people are working. read more

Called Eric after seeing the 5 star rating on Yelp. They did not disappoint. Eric explained our options, recommendations and costs over the phone and sent us some pictures of finished floors with the various coatings of which to choose. The crew came out at the expected time on the first day for the first coating. I could already see it was going to look good with the first coat. They came back at the same time the next morning and finished up with the 2nd coat. The total time that we had to stay home to accommodate over both days was just barely b more than 3 hours. One of the crew told us exactly how to proceed over the next 5 days regarding how not to damage the floor while letting it dry. I wish I had asked their names but they were excellent. In closing, they did everything as promised and promptly. If you are planning to get your floor coated I would highly recommend calling Eric. Eric and his crew are some of the most trustworthy and friendly folks you could hire to complete your floor work. I reached out to Eric via yelp. I needed help because I had bought an epoxy kit from Home Depot not realizing how much additional stuff you need to complete the job. We had our new washer and dryer coming in the following weekend and needed to get the floors done before they arrived. Eric was very positive and was willing to work with us on the project. What he ended up doing is completing the portion of the floor where the washer and dryer were going sit before they arrived and then came and finished the rest of the floor after they were installed. We are so grateful that he was willing to work with our (crazy!) schedule. I can't tell you how beautiful the floors look! The quality of the work is top notch. It looks like $1,000,000! His prices were extremely fair as well. We went with a grey base with a black, white, red and blue chip. Eric even let us choose how much chip (which relates to how durable the coating is) in different areas. We have 100% chip on the upper portion (where the majority of the traffic will be) and then 85% in the main area. He also helped us patch a few areas where the concrete had chipped and settled since we have an older home. First Class Coating did a beautiful job on my garage and workshop. Eric, the owner, has been doing this since 1990 and his experience shows in his recognition and handling of issues. Eric is totally hands-on not just a salesman who just schedules a crew later. He inspects everything and often works shoulder to shoulder with his crew. His staff is very clean dressed, easy to speak with and they communicate easily and work efficiently. In our attached 3-car garage we had decorative chip epoxy. It came out beautiful & I love how classy our garage looks now. The coating is very nicely done with all details included including the stem walls hand sanded and the joints so they are smooth and easy to clean. We elected for the high film build for that extra shine in the garage floor. Our workshop is a 30 x 40 metal building that my husband does auto restoration in. Eric recommended an epoxy primer, then a colored urethane coat & a clear urethane top coat for a solid color ultra protective coating system. This system resists fading and is easier to find dropped nuts and bolts on. His workshop looks like a professional shop now! We had high winds the day of our final coat in the workshop which caused the urethane to set up too quickly and not develop a nice sheen. Eric saw this happening and stopped the coating in process as they were half way into coating the garage. He rang my door bell to explain what was happening, apologized and said he wanted it to be "Perfect". I did not see exactly what he was speaking of at first, but later I learned to trust in an experienced installer. They came back 5 am the next day when conditions were better, sanded the floor and applied the final coat. My husband was out of town and I would not have known better if they had just gone with the first application and left it as it was. Thanks Eric for doing the right thing!
