This is the second time I've used First Call Septic. I have nothing but glowing things to say! The first time was a few months ago when my septic came due for inspection. The original owners of my home used them, so I called them up. The person on the other end was professional and set a great tone for the business. Ronnie came out at the agreed upon time. After very thorough research into septic tank services in the greater Vancouver area, I decided to give First Call a try. I was not disappointed! First, they follow up like no company I've ever dealt with. Iris gave me calls to confirm, gave me a range in which my serviceman would arrive, and even called again to follow up after our service! Wow, who does that any more? Second, our service tech, Ronnie, was amazing. He had many years in the business, was extremely knowledgeable, and ever-so-gracious when he discovered that our tank lids were buried. Yes, buried. We just purchased this home, and have not had septic before. So, we were unsure *exactly* where everything was. Evidently, the installers from 19 years ago thought deeply burying it and landscaping over it, was the way to go... He was able to uncover the tank lids and do an excellent analysis of our system. He took time (and I mean time.... he probably missed his lunch because of it) and explained EVERYTHING. He took time to educate us, put our system in perspective (like, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good is our system at this moment)... just really setting our minds at ease. We found out that at some point before we owned the home, someone had the amazingly bad idea of turning off the audible alarm on the main tank. (Kind of like sticking your fingers in your ears and singing Nah, nah, nah, nah!! If I can't hear it, nothing must be wrong!!) As a result of this, we found out that our pump was working overtime to pump out *stuff* in the first stage tank, and that's why the alarm was going off. It wouldn't empty quickly enough. So that's lots more in electricity charges, and potentially a flooding problem as it gets worse. Good to know.... and yet, we didn't know until they came out for our inspection! So, although we're going to end up spending money on this (after both real estate agents and the prior owner assured us all was fine.... (now that's different topic).... we feel AMAZINGLY taken care of, and have total confidence in First Call to help us maintain this very complex septic system that has not been taken care of until now... I fully recommend them, as a local Battle Ground company, and as professionals that will go the extra mile for you, help you learn, and basically be super nice to you throughout the process. We have had first call come out to our house for the last 6 years all our inspections and and issues they are here. Most times they will come right away and the inspections are scheduled and they are less then a day or two. I always get a call with extra notice that they are on the way. Any time I have questions the team is always happy to talk me through the whole process. For a company that is covering an area of Clark County they make you feel like your the priority and that is lost with so many business these days. We had some issues with our system and they helped to resolve them while making sure I was able to know what was going on and gave me the knowledge to keep an eye out for further issues. Super thorough, well explained and even came with a video! From the moment Ronnie arrived, it was a great educational experience (we wanted to watch and learn). Our alarm for our septic went off today and I gave First Call a call based on the solid reviews. I am glad I did. I really wasn't expecting a call back the same day since it was after 5 but First call called back right away! Not only did they call back but they stopped by and were able to resolve the broken switch issue for the pump on the first call. That's really cool. No dispatching for parts, no second trip and we have a working septic again. I am calling First Call every time. The person who was dispatched was Ronnie. He was professional, gave great explanations, and let me ask all sorts of questions which was awesome since I am new to having a septic tank.
