Recommended by another company because they were backed up. Came out that same day, fixed the problem (entry to septic was blocked). Pumped out our septic (cheaper than we thought). Am definitely calling them next time! read more

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by my experience with First Septic Services. This was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had with a septic service company. I called and scheduled a septic pumping and county-required inspection. I was quoted $560 for both services to be performed at the same time. When they arrived, I was suddenly told that because I operate a business on the property--and supposedly had failed to disclose that--they could not pump my tank without additional authorization or a permit. I was also told that, depending on the pH of the tank, I could potentially be charged approximately three times the normal pumping price for hazardous-material disposal. As far as I could tell, they had not even tested the pH of my tank on site before discussing this potential charge. I told them that was outside my price range, thanked them for their time, and said I would not be having the work done that day. I was then told I owed a $435 service-call fee simply because they had come to my property--even though the $560 service I scheduled was not being performed. The representative then told me that if I instead paid $170 for an inspection, they would waive the $435 charge. At that point, I felt like I was being pressured to pay them something regardless of whether they performed the service I had actually scheduled. I have had this same septic tank pumped many times and have never previously been told that operating a business on the property could result in my septic contents being treated as hazardous waste or subject me to this type of additional disposal charge. Most importantly, when I scheduled this appointment, nobody asked me whether I operated a business on the property. The situation then became much more disturbing. I told the representative I needed to make a phone call and attempted to leave the backyard. He physically positioned himself in a way that blocked my path. I found his demeanor menacing and intimidating, and I was extremely uncomfortable being put in that position on my own property. Once I got past him, I called the office hoping to resolve the situation. Instead, I was chastised and accused of lying because I had not disclosed that I operate a business. I did not lie. I was never asked. If that information is essential to whether they can legally perform the service, it should be requested before they quote a price, schedule the appointment, and dispatch a truck--not used afterward to accuse a customer of dishonesty. As a woman dealing with these representatives at my home, I felt talked down to, antagonized, intimidated, and taken advantage of. I cannot know their motivation, but I can describe the effect their conduct had on me: the encounter became so upsetting that I had a full-blown panic attack and called my neighbor to come over because I did not feel comfortable dealing with the situation alone and wanted them off my property. I have dealt with septic companies and had this tank pumped numerous times. I have never experienced anything remotely like this. Based on my experience, I would not use First Septic Services again and would not recommend them. Buyer beware: Get the quoted price, service-call fees, property-use restrictions, permitting requirements, hazardous-waste criteria, and potential additional charges in writing before they dispatch a truck. read more

Seniors beware! charged my 81 year old mother $150. to literally do nothing but a visual opinion of a drain field in March at the wettest time, and then turned her into the county, scared her to death , only for the county inspector to come out and do a true inspection at no cost and found nothing non compliant. read more

When I first called, I wasn't even sure what I was requesting. The woman that I spoke with was kind and talked me through the process. She was even able to provide me with a map of where my septic tank lid was, which helped me dig and prep for the technician. I was impressed that they were able to schedule my inspection within a week. The technician was friendly and thorough and provided me (a new homeowner) with answers to all of my questions. Thank you team! read more

I contacted First Call on the recommendation of our plumber. I called at noon due to a backup in the pipe from the house to the septic tank. They had a truck in my driveway two hours later. The technician was there for 3 hours cleaning our tank which hadn't been cleaned in 8+ years. They did a great job at a fair price. read more

First Call Septic Services - Septic Services Near Me - Battle Ground, Washington

This was a request for service that turned into a phone conversation about my 2-stage septic pump system and what to look for. She (sorry, I forgot your name, me bad) was above and beyond knowledgeable and helpful to walk through ways to check out the system. Because it's both a pump/float and electrical switch question, then either the septic service or an electrician could be needed. So this review/discussion is a bit different than an actual visit or other service but shows a "best foot forward" approach, in my opinion. read more

First Call Septic arrived as scheduled. I was immediately impressed by the sharp, professional appearance not only of John & Justin, but their awesome pumper truck. They quickly took care of business while also sharing their knowledge and other useful information (this home is my first ever with a septic system so I had many questions about septic construction, operations, and maintenance). From scheduling, to the actual service call, to a follow up office call, all of First Septic's staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful. I even received an email a few days later with a copy of my receipt, inspection report, and photos. First Septic will definitely be my first call next time I need their service! read more

First Call has been my go to septic service company since moving to Battle Ground. We had a high water alarm go off early in the morning on a Sunday. They weren't able to get anyone out that day. However, the owner went out of his way, while driving home a few states away to make sure we were put on the schedule for service as soon as possible. The problem was a simple fix with the sensor. read more

Every time I call these guys it's a fantastic experience. Generally I'm a little stressed when I'm having to make an emergency septic call but First Call always comes through and makes everything right. They have always made it out ASAP (the same day) and have unclogged filters or fixed pump relays. They also take care of my annual inspections. They have never pushed unnecessary work and always explain exactly what the issue was. I can't compliment the company enough. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend them. -Nate read more

We've used First Call Septic for locating services, pumping our septic system, and recently we had a pump alarm go off. They came out right away and took care of everything. They are super responsive, reasonably priced, and super nice. Plus, very helpful and informative. We will definitely continue to use them in the future. read more

I called first thing this morning and Chris was at my home by 9am! He was very informative and promptly assessed the situation. By 1pm Ronnie was here to pump the septic tank. They were literally my first call and will have 100% of my business from this day forward!! GREAT JOB!!! read more

I have used First Call Septic for many years on my house in Battle Ground. Being an out of state owner I needed someone I could trust and reply on. Last year the septic needed repairs which First Call performed at reasonable rates. Recent service I called yesterday, Monday AM, and the inspection was completed the next day. Thanks, Ronnie, Iris & the rest of the team. Dave read more

I called on late Thursday night. The owner himself answered and walked me through everything, and eased my stresses out mind. They were here Friday. They were great. Everyone of them. From the owner, to the three fellas that came and did the work. They were great. They were fast and efficient, and best of all, completely fair. Great company to deal with, and do business with. Great experience. Thanks First Call Septic Services! read more

This is the second time I've used First Call Septic. I have nothing but glowing things to say! The first time was a few months ago when my septic came due for inspection. The original owners of my home used them, so I called them up. The person on the other end was professional and set a great tone for the business. Ronnie came out at the agreed upon time. He was thorough, efficient, friendly, and explained what he was doing. It was a great experience. Today (a Sunday) our septic alarm went off. I called and immediately reached the office staff. Ronnie was to our house within a few hours. He quickly diagnosed and took care of the issue. He had everything needed for the repairs in his van, which was super nice since we live in Yacolt and drive time to get any tools or parts would add significant time to the fix. I continue to be very impressed with the quality of service, including customer service. I'm a lifelong customer! read more

We had visitors in town and on Saturday morning both toliets started acting up. Ronnie answered our call right away, troubleshooting the issue and sent a technician out right away. The technician was extremely personable, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The whole experience from start to finish was great. We highly recommend this company read more

Service was professional and quick. Adam was very thorough and informative and was able to get our house earlier than we hoped to fix our clogged baffle. Will definitely use First Call Septic again and recommend it to others...thank you! read more

Iris is awesome! On 6.27.18, I saw my neighbor used their service. So I wrote down the number on the van (this ad on van worked), and I called the next day; spoke with Iris, she helped me to understand better of the septic tank. Also, she's very clear, patient, helpful, honest, and friendly. Reasonable pricing too. If you need the service, you just can't go wrong with them. read more

We couldn't be more pleased with First Call Septic. Chris came out originally and was ready to do the inspection but unfortunately our concrete pathway covered the inspection cover so he had to come back a few days later to cut away the concrete to complete the inspection. The tank was pumped out a couple days later by John. Everyone at First Call was friendly, professional and extremely proficient at their jobs! And Iris was great to work with as well! Thanks you guys - we will certainly recommend you to others!! Lisa - Battle Ground read more

After having service by another company and finding I needed a new pump, Ronnie came out the next day and took care of the problems. I should have called First Call first! They are the only company I will call moving forward! read more

I left a message for Ronnie not knowing what to expect. We really weren't sure we had a septic problem but we were worried that a light was on in our septic box. He called back right away (on a Sunday) and walked me through everything on the phone. No need for him to come out and solved our problem at no cost. High respect for him. read more

Ronnie and the team of First Call Septic are wonderful and I highly recommend them! We learned just after Christmas that the line from our house to our septic tank had come ajar, and that waste water wasn't making it into the tank. Ronnie's team was able to diagnose the situation the next day, and came back the following day to excavate around the tank and line to make the needed repairs -- in just one hour! Professional, respectable, fast and all around a very nice team to work with. read more

First call is the only call. Iris is always helpful, kind and quick to get you what you need. We have had first call come out to our house for the last 6 years all our inspections and and issues they are here. Most times they will come right away and the inspections are scheduled and they are less then a day or two. I always get a call with extra notice that they are on the way. Any time I have questions the team is always happy to talk me through the whole process. For a company that is covering an area of Clark County they make you feel like your the priority and that is lost with so many business these days. We had some issues with our system and they helped to resolve them while making sure I was able to know what was going on and gave me the knowledge to keep an eye out for further issues. They have always been honest, helpful and knowledgeable. I am a customer for life. read more

After very thorough research into septic tank services in the greater Vancouver area, I decided to give First Call a try. I was not disappointed! First, they follow up like no company I've ever dealt with. Iris gave me calls to confirm, gave me a range in which my serviceman would arrive, and even called again to follow up after our service! Wow, who does that any more? Second, our service tech, Ronnie, was amazing. He had many years in the business, was extremely knowledgeable, and ever-so-gracious when he discovered that our tank lids were buried. Yes, buried. We just purchased this home, and have not had septic before. So, we were unsure *exactly* where everything was. Evidently, the installers from 19 years ago thought deeply burying it and landscaping over it, was the way to go... He was able to uncover the tank lids and do an excellent analysis of our system. He took time (and I mean time.... he probably missed his lunch because of it) and explained EVERYTHING. He took time to educate us, put our system in perspective (like, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good is our system at this moment)... just really setting our minds at ease. We found out that at some point before we owned the home, someone had the amazingly bad idea of turning off the audible alarm on the main tank. (Kind of like sticking your fingers in your ears and singing Nah, nah, nah, nah!! If I can't hear it, nothing must be wrong!!) As a result of this, we found out that our pump was working overtime to pump out *stuff* in the first stage tank, and that's why the alarm was going off. It wouldn't empty quickly enough. So that's lots more in electricity charges, and potentially a flooding problem as it gets worse. Good to know.... and yet, we didn't know until they came out for our inspection! So, although we're going to end up spending money on this (after both real estate agents and the prior owner assured us all was fine.... (now that's different topic).... we feel AMAZINGLY taken care of, and have total confidence in First Call to help us maintain this very complex septic system that has not been taken care of until now... I fully recommend them, as a local Battle Ground company, and as professionals that will go the extra mile for you, help you learn, and basically be super nice to you throughout the process. Lastly, if it's possible to love your septic company, then I love them! :-) read more

These guys are GREAT!! Woke up to sewage oozing from downstairs toilet and shower due to a pump failure and a cascade of unfortunate events. Found First Call on Yelp, and reviews are spot on. Iris got us started by working us in as an emergency, then Chris came way sooner than I expected!! Great service and very pleasant and knowledgeable people. Big thanks!! They really should be your First Call! read more

This was a referral from the company that installed our septic system, a few years back. I called for an inspection and it was great and well priced. Super thorough, well explained and even came with a video! I was nervous to have a company come out because I didn't want to get taken advantage of (in regards to paying more for services and/or parts) ect ..the inspection was explained in detail and all my questions answered. PLUS, I could see what he was talking about afterwards with the short video. I will definitely be using them when I have my septic pumped. read more

I never thought I'd ever call a septic company "awesome" but really, this company is it. We as the seller had to perform a septic inspection and hired First Call Septic. From the moment Ronnie arrived, it was a great educational experience (we wanted to watch and learn). He showed us what was involved and also shared with us some totally bizarre stories about the industry! It's so much more involved than we'd ever realized. Unlike other companies, he also takes a video of the inspection so that the buyer is able to see it remotely (it's included for no extra charge). I actually had "fun" at a septic inspection! And Ronnie... you couldn't ask for a nicer guy. read more

When we purchased our home and within weeks had septic issues, I'm so glad two different people recommended First Call Septic to my husband and me. Ronnie is passionate about quality, fairness, and his customers. Every interaction I had with him and the people who work with and for him highlighted their commitment to excellence. Hands down, I will never do business with any other septic company as long as this company is around. They deserve all the praise you see here - this is group of people who honestly care about our little community and about doing right by people. Kudos to Ronnie and team! read more

Well, I am not surprised at all the 5-star reviews for First Call Septic! I came over here to Yelp to leave my kudos as to not just the great septic tank service, but for Ronnie as a just plain good guy! We first had the company out about six years ago, and I so enjoyed speaking with Ronnie and learning interesting things about septic tanks (who knew?!) that I knew we wouldn't go with another company when we could first call First Call. :-) Just had them pump our tank again here in the Columbia River Gorge, and Ronnie's commitment to excellence and great customer service knows no bounds. I just love this company! Thank you, Ronnie! :-) read more

First time needing a septic inspection. Contacted another company which was very rude so searched Yelp for reviews. First Call had great reviews so gave them a call. From my initial call for an appointment until the end it was a great experience! Setting up the appointment, up front pricing, being honest, to the inspection/pumping was really easy and smooth. The technician called on his way like requested, inspected the tank, was honest and polite. Even though I didn't need to pump the tank, I requested it at the appointment giving me a fresh start. John was really honest, fast and clean. Will certainly use again and would recommend! read more

Wonderful company! I manage my grandma's properties in Battle Ground from Virginia Beach. As you can imagine it becomes difficult to find companies that are trustworthy without being on location. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for septic services. I am pleased to have found them. read more

Our alarm for our septic went off today and I gave First Call a call based on the solid reviews. I am glad I did. I really wasn't expecting a call back the same day since it was after 5 but First call called back right away! Not only did they call back but they stopped by and were able to resolve the broken switch issue for the pump on the first call. That's really cool. No dispatching for parts, no second trip and we have a working septic again. I am calling First Call every time. The person who was dispatched was Ronnie. He was professional, gave great explanations, and let me ask all sorts of questions which was awesome since I am new to having a septic tank. From the conversation I was able to learn he is very involved with his trade which makes him really good at what he does. (Pro-tip BTW if the alarm goes off stop using water or it can get expensive to fix) Luckily that wasn't a problem for us but still good to know. read more

We were selling our home and were in need an inspection as soon as possible. We searched around a bit and after coming across the websitre and reading over the plethora of information, decided to contract First Call Septic. We were contacted by Ronnie Tamez almost immediately. Honest, timely, communicative, professional and competitive are all apt descriptors of this business. If you have any septic needs, you cannot go wrong hiring First Call Septic. We were recently referred to First Call Septic Services by our Home Inspector. From our first telephone call with Iris to our site inspection with Adam they provided us with seamless gold star service. Dealing with First Call was a pleasant experience during a stressful process. We were absolutely delighted with the excellent service and knowledge provided to us by their technician Adam! It was snowing the day he came out to do a septic locate. He had to dig quite a bit to find the second tank in 22 degree weather. During this time, he educated us on several different septic issues that are important to know as home buyers. He provided us with a video and several tips to save us money. When he left we had a deep sense of gratitude knowing that there are people in this world like Adam that truly care about you. Bravo to First Call for hiring such honest professionals! read more

Great Company, Great Service and even Better PEOPLE!! If you notice reviews about First Call Septic on Yelp and even other sites, they talk about the service and quality, but really most every one talks about the people. Ronnie is a super nice guy, he really is exceptional, it shows in how he addresses the customer, and how he conducts business. I am a business owner, I like to think I'm a nice guy, but Ronnie left me thinking on how I can improve with my customers. I am responsible for 60+ properties in the Vancouver area.
