At this point they have thousands and thousands of my dollars from work on our old house. My grief is that a finishing part of a project where I misunderstood the scope specifics (admittedly likely due to my fault) now has me searching for a professional plumber to finish. I'm to be left with a "roughed in" half bath addition. My bad that I was not fully clear on that meaning. Their plumber onsite said it'd be relatively quick and easy- under an hour- to finish off. The office bid me 600 more of my dollars. They then came down a bit from that but in my opinion the quote is still crazy high for "about an hour... easy " work, particularly as I am an ongoing customer in an open project. I completely understand I would expect to pay for additional work out of original scope, but seriously? Such a high quote for an hour for what reportedly is a simple job for the plumber? Seems very unreasonable to me. They've now lost a customer and left sourness in the wake. It's a shame. I've learned my lesson. I'll in the future be careful to be wholly complete in my communication, and I will try to avoid such large corporate structures that seemingly do not care about my satisfaction. L.

On the negative side of things, I was told that they would come out and give me a free diagnostic before doing the work and upon their arrival I was called and was told that I would be getting the 99 dollar drain clear special but that if their was additional work that they charge 239 dollars an hour but that he would do the diagnostic and let me know. He called me a short time later and told me that he needed to move the washing machine to get to the pipe to clear the line. The line was an open pipe take out protruding above the washer and I had someone their that could have moved the washer and I was not called before doing the work.

UPDATE BELOW ORIGINAL: Zach Mattson came out on Easter…read moreSunday (4/5/26) ($250 emergency fee, in case you're curious!) and was respectful, goofy, and I appreciated how much he seemed to care about taking care of our clogged sewer line. He cleared the line ($375 mainline snake interior clean out to city), so we thought! Unfortunately, just a day later (4/6/26), the water came back. Only on one side though. I would 110% give 5 stars if this does get taken care of! He was such a great help, and I'd highly recommend, though I really hope this can be resolved. I noticed on the terms and conditions, it says, "All labor performed by Cascade Northwest Plumbing is warranted for 1 year or as otherwise indicated in writing." I hope this stands. We worked really hard to get our basement cleaned up using the remedies Zach recommended, and it REALLY worked. The smell is still gone, but the water came back. I will update the review when I hear back and get this handled! I greatly appreciate this company, because of Zach's personality and commitment, and have recommended you guys to many, already! Shaun showed up at 1245ish (we decided 1pm the next day 4/7/26) and handled business. Dude is a really chill, respectful, and was working HARD. He went at this for another 2 hours. Finally... He used the "chain buster" I think is what he called it. That ate away at the clog (pictured as the camera view photo), QUICKLY. I'm talking, 5 minutes and he was done. We dumped water down our washer line and it ran smooth. Side note: the bossman might butt dial you hahaha.
