Excellent donair. Might be the best I've had in the Edmonton region. Friendly staff, too.

Meh. Typical small town type pizza. Cheap ingredients usual crust you would expect. Not good, not bad just meh. Service was great and the restaurant has a new updated store front. Would have given three stars but the pizza is expensive for what you get. Two medium pizza and a donair was $55. You can get much better pizza for cheaper by ordering from one of the chain pizza places in the area. I'm not a huge fan of chain pizza but it is better than Firestone. read more

This place has the best pizza in the neighbourhood! The sizes are larger than average, and they aren't chintzy with the toppings. The prices may appear high, but that's because they're priced 2-for-1. Flavour is exceptional, and it also makes great leftovers. I'd skip the fries, but I should have known better - who orders fries from a pizza place? read more

Thought we'd give Firezone a try. Came in and thought that there would be larger seating area. Only 3 tables for 2 and a couple of hightop chairs at a counter. Firezone is definitely a takeaway style place. Walked up to the counter and I order a Loaf Sandwich, my wife got a donair, fries were extra. The Loaf sandwich was up quicker than I thought. My wife's donair was a few mins later with the fries. Her donair and the fries were piping hot. The sandwich... not so much. In fact some of the meats were actually still cold. First bites in and the loaf was ok, but nothing to rave about. My wife noted that she could barely eat her donair as it was so hot. I tried a bit of the donair. It was much better tasting than my cold loaf. The fries came on the same sized plate as what my loaf came on. All Styrofoam plates. One thing Firezone could do is use real plates instead of disposable. For the number of people that can or will eat in, there wouldn't need to be a huge investment. Overall, This is a takeaway place with a few tables. Don't expect table service here. The food was good but there are better options out there. The value is decent, but I would rather pay a bit more for a bit better food. I will go back, bu will try a few other places prior to. read more

I've been eating the Italian loaf here now for a year and absolutely love it. I order it with mushrooms and it brings me back to my childhood, hanging out at the local Italian place near high school. The dry ribs and onion rings are also very good, though not as good a the loaf. I tried the garlic breadsticks as well, and I'd have to suggest avoiding those. read more

Officially...45. Found myself on the Western edge of the city. Decided to take the opportunity to add another shop to my list. First impression... Shiney. Clean. New. Small seating area. No public washroom (which is pretty useful for cleanup after a good donair...). Friendly, engaging staff. Ordered my obligatory Jumbo Beef (they only have two sizes...reg & Jumbo), side farlic sauce and a water. At ~$10 for a jumbo...seems like a good deal. Alas....it's not a very big jumbo. Perhaps they should dumb it down ti reg & large. In the Donair world...Jumbo denotes a full belly! Next point of contention...the "garlic" sauce. It was ceaser dreasing. Not cool. I dined in, and the employee served me my donair wrapped up, and on a paper plate. No bag. I hope the take out/delivery sends bags. This method of serving forced me to remove the wrap, and simply eat over tge plate. Not a big deal, but not the "norm". Now. The donair. Pita good. Veggies fresh. Meat is pretty "run of the mill". Nothing to write home about but decent. Sweet sauce. Marginal. It's thick, and sweet, but nothing to rave about. All in all, I'm pleased with this offering. I wouldn't ne upset if this were my local shop...but I'd take trips to other shops...from time to time. read more

My pal took me here once and bought me a chicken donair. The place is clean and the staff are nice enough. Second best chicken donair I have ever had. This is only because the bar is set so damned high from the old Royal Donair (then it was Lynnwood Donair) on 149 street. Crispy veggies, tzatziki that actually tasted like the real stuff instead of watered down mayo and dill you often find at other places, good serving of chicken, and it was all wrapped up fine and dandy despite what some people have said. I give it 3 stars because I doubt I will ever have a chicken donair as good as Royal Donair, it's a tad pricey, and you can't rate it 3.9. However, you get your coins worth for that price. I hear they have good pizza as well, but I feel as though I would do a disservice by not getting a donair when I go here. Maybe one day... read more

Great, fresh food that is reasonably priced! The Donair are quite big. There is a regular and jumbo. I if you are incredibly hungry, get the jumbo but a regular is more than big enough! The onion rings are yummy as well. read more

Ordered pizza and donair then they said they did 2 for 1 pizza, so we ordered a second pizza. Wouldn't tell us the total at the end. Called back to give the total and it was a little higher than expected but I figured it was because it was being delivered Called back again to give a higher price because we ordered a second pizza which was confusing considering we only ordered it because it was supposedly 2 for 1. We came in and order the Donair Pizza because we love MEAT. They were pretty cheap on the toppings, even the cheese was pretty light, there were probably about 5 onions on the entire large pizza, and not enough meat. The sauce and pizza dough/crust itself was really good but otherwise it wasn't amazing. I feel like the next time we go we will have to ask for extra meat because there just wasn't enough, and if there was the pizza would have been a lot better. The people running the place were SUPER NICE, and that was really awesome, so it makes me want to go back and try again with a proper order. If they knew that we wanted more meat I'm sure that they would have been more than accommodating. I suggest that people try this place but give them a good description of what you want your pizza to have etc. read more

Good pizza, but the large is smaller than a medium at other pizza places and they charge you 25$ for a large that's only 12". You guys need to change your menus so you don't fool your customers. I get a medium at dominos and they're the same size as your large. Wings are good, Donair are ok. read more

I saw lots of positive reviews so I decided to try it out and the result was... Sad. I'm not entirely sure the pizza is fully cooked, and the ingredients taste worst then subway somehow. Lots of reviews say the sauce is really good and I'm not even convinced there is sauce on the pizza I ordered, as the only thing that can be tasted is cheese. The only good thing about it is the crust. Seriously, just order dominos it's cheaper and better. read more

Simply the best donair place in Edmonton, don't be greedy to go for jumbo size just because it's a better deal, just get the regular size, it is still very big. The unproportional amount of meat in the jumbo is not worth the overall taste. One bite of the regular size will allow your taste buds to reach the pinnacle of donair paradise, because the ratio and combination of fresh toppings with sweet sauce and melted cheese couldn't be distributed any better. read more

Ever since the donair place in my neighbourhood closed down I've been trying to find a place that compares. Every place I've tried has let me down. Decided to try this place last night and I'm so happy I did! The food was delicious and the portions are extremely generous. Awful donair! The donair was wrapped very poorly, the wrapping paper around the donair was ripped and really loose. How hard is it to wrap a donair? Way to much sauce! I didn't know I ordered sweet sauce, hot sauce with a side of donair. If you want a soup donair then order from Firezone. I will never order from this place again. Terrible. read more

Love the place, the people are nice, and the donairs are stuffed and messy, just the way I like it. The poutine's pretty good too, the only thing that mildly disappoints me is that it's not cheese curds. The prices aren't half bad either. That is if you'd like to spurge once in a while. read more

The pizza here is excellent. The 'works' are very good and the dough is not to thick nor is it paper thin. The prices are fair and compared to another local pizza joint in the vicinity much much more affordable. It beats dominos and all those other chains stores and is owned by some local guys. They aren't the most talkative bunch but the pizza is made on time, with ample toppings (they do not cheap out) and the sauce is unique.....its really good. Recommended for sure! read more

I've been here a couple times now and really like their pizzas. It almost seems like there is less sodium in these pies because I don't feel like I'm choking dust 2 hours after eating like I do with some pizza. They have a really good crust with lots of toppings and cheese. Service is quick and friendly. This is becoming my go-to pizza place and definitely worth trying to see what you think! read more
