The wings were delicious. I got to try the lemon pepper wings which has always been a favourite of mine. They were perfectly made, they weren't overdone. They also gave me just enough ranch that it wasn't too much and I was being wasteful. I loved the fries and they also give you a lot of vegetables. Never impressed... Marginal at best. Stopped by with a couple of buddies last night for...well...Wings...abd Beer! Cooincidentally...it was halh price wing night (Tuesday) which did temper tgeir relatively high prices. We each had 2 order ofcwings and a few "cheap" beers and the total was ~$80. Waitress was...intense. Pretty much gave us crap when her counterpart took our order after we flagged her down for some service. Was very rough with...everything on the table. Too over-the-top for me to handle. I would avoid her in future. I settled on (from their VERY long list) butter chicken boneless and Garlic Garlic boneless wings. It feels like Starbucks as with every flavor you order you have the option of regular, breaded or boneless as well as several sides. Almost too many choices. I added poutine to one of my orders for an additional $2. The boneless wings were a little on thr tough side. Kind of a leathery coating under rhe flavor and sauce. Everything did taste pretty good. This place was far more different than what I was expecting! I was craving a small meal while shopping and drove past this place in the south end. I had asked my honey if he had been and he said it was really good! Mentioning their large selection of flavours and options for wings. Being a lover or wings I had to go! We waited a few minutes before being greeted by the one server that was working. It wasn't too busy but she had maybe 7 or so other tables on the go plus she was doing her own bar service. A lot for one person so I didn't get bent out of shape! She was still friendly and didn't look to be bothered! After cruising the very large menu (they offer more than just wings, which also came as a surprise), I finally narrowed down my wing choice to Hot Honey! A nice balance between hot and honey garlic. All of their 101 flavours are on a "hotness" scale of 1-6. With 1 being no hotness at all and 6 being ultra super hot! Mine were rated a 4 but I didn't find them to be all that hot in my opinion. However for someone with a more delicate palate they may be... Good job on playing the hotness scale! I was also given the option of naked, breaded or boneless! I for some odd reason went with breaded... No regrets there! They came out perfectly crispy but very saucy!! This is not a place to dine if you're worried about staying clean and it gets messy! When all is said and done I enjoyed my wings and had no problem finishing off 1.5 lbs! Some may say this place is a little on the pricy side! I would have to disagree! They offer amazing daily deals and you're not getting tiny wings here, they are large and eat like a meal. As for service I have no complaints! It was friendly and quick. I didn't wait around for anything and my order came out as I asked. My only complaint is that nowhere does it mention the daily deals! Nor did our server mention what the deal of the day was... My friend and I went to Wild Wing before going to a football game (wings and football seems like an appropriate combo). While there are other items on the menu we went for the wings. My friend doesn't like wet (sauced) wings, so we learned that the chip flavours and the favours in the naked category were the dry (spice rub) wings. There's a lot of flavours of wings (heard 101, but I didn't count), so like another reviewer I saw mentioned don't just come and get the standard hot sauce or BBQ. Even my friend regularly goes for dill pickle wings, but I convinced her to try something new. I got the thai and raspberry flavour in the boneless (aka chicken nugget) wings, and it was good combo of spicy and sweet. The wings (least the boneless ones) were delicious - juicy, but not greasy. The price is a bit high - $10.95 for one flavour of wings. You could pay like $21 for 2 flavours, but I didn't see any sort of wing deals (although I didn't really check the rest of the menu). Still the wings are good, and I didn't leave the restaurant hungry. Our server was really friendly and helpful answer questions about the menu. Oh and you get this giant wet nap with the wings instead of a bunch of little ones. Wild Wing is a bit out of the way from me, but I'd certainly come back and try it again. I have ordered from wild wings many a time and have had a great experience but this time sadly, was not as I expected or remembered. We ordered on 1/2 price Tuesdays and picked it up to eat at home. The traditional (breaded) wings were plump and nicely breaded. I got 2 flavours: Caribbean jerk and Mystery with dry Cajun as the other flavour. Neither order had enough sauce/dry spice to coat the wings properly and made it disappointing. The jerk also didn't have any heat to it, maybe because they were only half tossed in sauce. I got their side garden salad with balsamic dressing and it was a good size and really fresh and crunchy. It also came with shredded cheese which was a nice surprise. The Caesar salad was also good and had a nice amount of dressing with generous chunks of bacon. I also got some of their signature dill dip which is one of my favourite chain restaurant dips. Overall meh this time for the wings, I hope it's just a one off. read more

MINORITIES BEWARE Went inside with my hijabi friends and the atmosphere was nice, no one came to greet us so we decided to go up to the register area. There was a woman just exiting the bar and she looked at me and my friend up and down, I was about to offer a greeting but felt so uncomfortable with the way she was looking at us so I stuttered "uh I'm sorry do you work here" to which she replied yes. I asked if they serve halal food and she said "no sweetheart" in a very condescending way and then proceeded to turn her back to us, didn't suggest anything else from the menu, didn't offer to seat us. The big draw for this place is that it has 101 chicken wing flavours and is Canadian owned. My husband and I went there when it was celebrating a grand opening in Sherwood Park so the food was 50% off. Even at 50% off, the food is extremely expensive. As for the wings, they are okay. Nothing truly exciting. We were more impressed by the broccoli bacon cheese poppers than we were with the wings. Not good being that this is a place that specializes in great wings. With their website having "bestchickenwings" in its title, they needed to impress us way more. We ordered the Gar-Par and the Mango Chipotle BBQ wings. The truly crappy part is that you have to spend a ton of money just so they will give you two different flavours. Their wings come in orders of nine which is also strange. Why not six? Or twelve? The only upside of our visit is that my husband won free wings for a year. Sounds impressive? Well he gets 9 wings a week for a year for a value of $550. See how expensive eating there regularly would be? And that doesn't even include a drink! And for trying to be a sports bar, their TVs are so poor that when we watched a game there it looked like the players were wearing pink uniforms. Wild Wing, you need to buy new TVs! I've been here a few times now, and the wings are good, but there's always something wrong. I've been holding off on writing a review, but now that I've experienced quite a few flavours I think I'm ready to go. First of all, they removed the plate for one where you can chose 4 different flavours of wings. Now if you want 4 flavours you actually need to order all 4 flavours, which is obviously expensive and too much food. Not impressed. Secondly, there is something wrong with the temperature in this place. It's either an inferno, or freezing cold. I came after a gym session once anticipating it to be really cold, and it was seriously hot. Why would you crank up the heat like that when people are likely eating spicy wings? Another time I came and it was absolutely FREEZING inside. I needed to go outside to warm up because it was so cold... Can you guys just keep it at room temperature? The service is really hit and miss. Sometimes our server is on point, and other times we're waiting for our pop for 20 minutes. I would say that the only saving grace is the wings, I love trying different flavours and seeing whether or not I like them. If you don't like them though, you can't really complain because you chose them right? Pretty sad about the one person variety plate being nixed though... it makes the place a lot more expensive. I am a fan of Wild Wing. I have been to the Namao location many times. Unfortunately, the service at that location is awful. The Calgary Trail location, however, has good service. It's not amazing, but it is solid service. I love the variety of flavours at Wild Wing. Unlike many wing places that advertise 100s of flavours, Wild Wing actually has a lot of flavours that aren't just differing degrees of hot. I'm not sure why this place gets such mediocre reviews. I enjoy the wings here and love trying some of the more unusual flavour combinations (buttermilk dill and BBQ sauce? Sure, why not?!). I don't go to this location often, because it isn't close to home, but I definitely prefer it to the northside location because the service is much better at this one. read more

So the chicken itself was great... too bad they were about the size of a mcnugget and 12 of them cost $20... and that was the special. Did it come with any sides? Not really... no fries... 2 pieces of carrot and celery. WOW... this was $20 worth? Not often do I feel ripped off but this was definitely one of those times. Clean place, good food - the service was a bit lacking though. No one greeted us when we came in, and it took a while before we noticed anyone was even working in the place. This is one of my favorite hangout places. You can easily bring a couple of friends and share different of flavors of the wings. AND THERE'S SO MUCH CHOICES! One of my favorites is the Cadillac Ranch, every time I go there I always make sure to get an order of it. The service is fantastic and it doesn't take too long for your food to arrive. They also have things other than wings that you can order. The appetizers and desserts are also fantastic. I like how this restaurant also has some pretty interesting flavors that include chocolate chicken. However, I have yet to try that. I'll just stick with my Cadillac Ranch haha. This place does get pretty busy at times and when you have to wait there isn't a whole lot of room so you'd be standing awkwardly by the door. I love wings. So when I learned that there was a new chain in town that boasted to have some of the best wings around I was all over it. The atmosphere at the Calgary Trail location is....interesting. I guess it is supposed to be western themed, but there is also this large light up palm tree? Not sure. It didn't really seem like a sports bar either, though I do think they might have added more tv's since I first went. So the wings. Yes they are expensive. At over $1 a wing I expect amazing....and unfortunately they aren't. Yes they are good, and yes there is chicken that you can see and taste (which isn't something you can always say about pub wings), but really I can't say it is worth the price. I was hoping they would have some kind of deal if you ordered more the less the price/wing, but no. Really it comes down to the sauces. You have over 100 to choose from and the Red, Hot, Blue (hot and blue cheese) is just so damn good that I have to come back whenever I have a craving for it. I have tried to venture outside of that flavour, but none seem to be as good. Can't say much about the other food on the menu, though it is decently extensive. First off...not to bash any ones review of this place, but somebody obviously doesn't know wings. I've been here multiple times and I love the wings. More flavors then you can wrap your brain around. I've had the dirty nelly, spicy gar par, something medium and maple...and more. I've had atleast 10 flavors and loved all of them. The wing itself is actually large and in charge with enough meat on them to satisfy the price I paid for them. Sure the service isn't the greatest but i have water and wings and flat screen tvs to watch sports...so who needs someone asking "hows your meal today" every 3-4 minutes. We went on a Tuesday when there was apparently no specials going on (really? nothing on a Tuesday night? probably why we were the only people in there) and we specifically came in to see all of the flavors. Some combinations sounded gross, but we decided on 3 different kinds. MAN are they expensive for those tiny wings. With so many other places in the city offering wing deals, I don't think the amount of flavours offered would get me to come back. The restaurant is not that large and there was no one else in there nor were the seats that comfortable. Would I stay just to chat up the wait staff? Other then the intense list of flavours what is the pull or the concept to stay? Our server couldn't even recommend much because she hadn't really tried many kinds on the menu at all. That was odd. Also sometimes the wings came with sauce and carrot/celery sticks and sometimes they didn't. Not sure if that was a menu thing or the waitress forgot? So as a vegetarian why did I go here? I was with my Mom and we were hungry and in the area. First of all, the service was very slow and our server was not very friendly and didn't even say hello, she just asked for our drink choices after 10 minutes of waiting. The menu is a little confusing with all the variations of sauces and seasonings and she didn't explain that either. I had a greek salad and shared onion rings that were very greasy and not great. The salad was swimming in dressing and was kind of wilted and gross. My Mom said the boneless wings she had were just glorified McNuggets with cheap spice mixes sprinkled on. Let me start by saying I really like Wild Wing, typically we (myself and my wife) go to the Wild Wing in Sherwood Park and have never had a bad experience and enjoy the wings there. This was our first visit to Wild Wing off Calgary Trail and we won't be going back. It was a Thursday evening around 7pm, there were no big sporting events, it wasn't a fight night, just a normal weekday evening. The restaurant was busy, but there were still tables open so we found a place to sit. Then we waited...and waited...and waited. Finally after 10 or 12 minutes of being ignored we flagged down a waitress and asked for menus. A few minutes later we got menus and she apologized for the wait. We looked over the menu, decided on drinks and food, put the menus aside, then we waited...and waited...and waited. After being ignored for another 10 or 12 minutes, watching other tables receiving their drinks and food, we got up and left. I guess our money is no good here, so we'll take it somewhere else with service, literally any service, because we received none here. read more

This is a fun place for take out but I really wouldn't want to eat in. For one thing the decor makes me want to blow my brains out within a few moments of being in the place. I never knew I could walk into a room that's so awkwardly empty but feel crowded at the same time... but anyways With so many varieties of wings to try you'll be hard pressed not to find a winner, but you might also end up trying some pretty gross overpriced wings. Essentially, once you have found the flavor you love don't go looking past that, because it's just not there. Decent for a night when you want to have a beer at home and don't mind dropping some cash for a night in, but not the sort of place I'd ever take someone out to or sit down to eat in. -Oh and the thing that strikes me as truly bizarre? The place was pretty empty with only one other customer inside. We sat down on the table and waited 30 minutes until we decided to leave because the waiters were too busy chatting amongst each other to come to us. I've had the food there before, it's great. The wings are really tasty, not dry or anything. The best flavour I've had so far is the dry cajun especially with the dill dip. I also love that they keep a roll of paper towel on the table for sticky fingers. The wings alone would be 3.5 stars, however the last time I went, the servers were all so rude that I really don't think I'll be going again any time soon. read more
