I peeked into Fireworks Gallery minutes after deplaning in Seattle. Not because I'm an idiot who shops for souvenirs on the first day of a trip, but because I'm an idiot who forgot to put shoes on her two-year-old before leaving for the airport back home. I kind of thought you could buy most essentials at the airport, but it turns out children's shoes are not a typical travel need, at least when they aren't being worn by traveling children. Fireworks did carry children's slippers, which caught my eye as I passed, as well as a nice assortment of unique, crafty toys and gifts. Unfortunately, my five-year-old followed me into the store and zeroed in on a tiny, colorful finger puppet in the shape of a parrot. He asked me to buy it for him, and I declined, telling him we weren't getting a souvenir before we even left the airport. He was upset by this to the point of tears, but I managed to get us out of there. We had a wonderful time in Seattle, and to his credit, the five-year-old behaved well the whole trip (and the two-year-old got new shoes). When I saw Fireworks Gallery again by our departure gate, I decided at the last possible second to stop in and get him the parrot. It was one of several Folkmanis finger puppets in a wire basket. I picked it up along with a bunny rabbit and went to check out. There was a short line at the register--I guess this shop gets decent traffic--and by the time I was up, my husband was calling to tell me we were boarding. This is how I paid $36.36 for two finger puppets that cost $10 apiece online. Fireworks got me good, but my boys do love their little puppets, which are soft and cute and well made. The wares here are definitely nicer and less generic than at your average airport store. It might cost you, though, if you wander in there with your kids. read more

If you have time to kill before your flight out of SEATAC, this little gift shop is the perfect spot to wander around. I can totally see this store being a saving grace for anyone looking for a last minute gift. They have a lot of unique knickknacks that you wouldn't think could be bought at an airport gift shop. I ended up getting a cute little deviled egg jellycat stuffed animal. I also saw that they had smiski blind boxes- how cool?! Sure, there might be a bit of an airport up-charge but the prices are outrageous. read more

I've actually enjoyed shopping and browsing all the goodies in this shop before- this being my 4th time flying out of Seattle. Fun, quirky, oddball, cute gifts to be had! Most items are premium pricing, but there are plenty of items that are only 10% more than I have seen them in gift shops. Quite the eclectic selection of home goods, jewelry, novelty items, baby gifts and more! We actually picked up a last minute gift from "Seattle" that eluded us during our trip! Social distancing is enforced, with staff carefully monitoring the number of shoppers, enforcing masks, and hand sanitizer, too, which is appreciated. Wow a 5 star store in an airport? Say What?! I don't think they have received any fewer stars than 5 from any reviewer and there is a reason. Totally cool stuff that is not normally found in an airport. We later found one of their products in a non airport store for a higher price. I actually wish we had bought more things here. I often think of the airport versions of my favorite stores as wannabes and not as well stocked. In this case I would be horribly mistaken. Every time I've been in here I've been impressed with the selection of goods they supply. The actual square footage of this store is tiny, but they manage to pack in great gifts of all sizes in here. My usually Fireworks store is in Uvillage, but this location pretty much has everything I like about the other location, just all crammed into an airport shopfront. I usually go in here when I have some time before my flight if I am in the A or B terminal. This has proven dangerous as I am tempted to buy myself goodies. There are so many great gift ideas in this place, so if you need to pick something up for a loved one or friend, this is definitely the place to visit. Great store with reasonable prices. I've been here several times and enjoy it. The reason for only four stars is due to the lady who works at the entrance. Unreasonably irritating. She barks orders at people. I was trying to read a label on a package near the entrance and she kept shouting the price to me as if I hadn't heard her. The best souvenir shop at Seattle Tacoma airport! full of really pretty things, items with positive messages and (surprise!) non tacky souvenirs from Seattle. So you can get your coffee mugs and other gifts with some style. I love the Moroccan style lamps hanging (I guess they are for sale, but otherwise they look fantastic as decoration). Lots of times to spend if you like one-of-a-kind jewelry. I like the indie line of necklaces with little charms. Also very interesting earring collection. If you are a man, please make your girl happy by getting her something from here. This is the type of store I would like my guy to get me something from. Bracelets, rings, pendants, all very cute and different. Also, you can find all the cute 'love my life' type of books, cards and various gifts of the same genre. Had time to stretch our legs before our connecting flight and came across this kitschy gallery. They have such a eclectic variety of things. There wasn't really a single thing I would say I wouldn't buy if I could. Love their jewelry choices especially, simplistic yet classy and sophisticated. They also have a lot of fun things to look at such as my personal favorite the unicorn clock they had on their wall. I also loved the big smores pillow along with the fluffy soft donut pillow as well. They also have a lot of green environment friendly products along with upcycle items. Though I do not normally spend time in "airport" stores, this one is an exception. If you ever find yourself at N Gate, consider browsing. I was walking by and saw these cool looking paper star lights and just had to stop in. I just had to purchase one. They have many other fun items to spend our hard-earned money on. Still, I admit that I spend more time "looking" than buying. The employees do not seem to mind that most of us are just "looking". They are quick to answer questions without "hovering" over customers. Great store!!! read more

OK, Fireworks. I don't know if you read these, but here's the deal. I know you don't like it when people come in and take pictures of things, especially when every MP3 player and phone and computer has a camera on it. But I am one of those annoying people who take pictures of things as memory aids, and before I saw your 'no pictures' sign on the wall, I took a picture of these really cool fake paper plates that I saw, and wanted, except I was going on a trip, so I took the picture to remind me later that I wanted them. Fast forward to now. I remembered your store, because I took the picture, and remembered that I wanted the cool plates, and I remembered all of the other cool stuff you sell, and then I come here and write this review about your store, which is awesome, and post the picture of the plates, which gets seen by perhaps DOZENS of people, several of which may or may not be traveling through sea-tac in the next 6 months, one of which who might actually go into your store and check out said awesomeness. Did I mention that you sell really cool stuff? And that it's worth a 30 minute diversion while waiting for a flight? It's viral. It's the 21st century. It's how it works. You also sell cool fake-real paper cups with lids. Those were really cool also, and I want those as well. 4 stars because of the no pictures policy. If anyone else buys fake-real paper plates as a result of my picture, perhaps your policy might change. Don't fight the future! Embrace it. And spend some time here when you are stuck in the airport. I was in line and I overheard a young African American lady saying something about retards. And I did not find this pleasant to hear I have a mentally disabled cousin and she gets picked on all the time. What that lady was saying made me feel super uncomfortable. And to add on to all that she wasn't even helping me she was facing away from me in LINE with AirPods in. I had to wait for a little Latina lady to help me cause the African American women wouldn't even look my way. Overall experience at this store was pleasant a lot of cool things to buy. An incredibly beautiful store with incredibly interesting and fascinating gifts for the entire family. However, they have so many items that are not priced at all that I got tired of asking the clerks what the price of things were. For each of those things that I did ask about, the clerks had to go to the register and scan it to get the price because they didn't know the prices either. There were at least eight items that I took great interest in, but there was no price on them and the store was crowded with people so it was difficult to get the attention of a clerk and an unoccupied register as well. I finally just chose to take an item to purchase, which I thought would be slightly expensive, but not unreasonable. But when it was scanned for check out, it was at least twice as much as I would've thought. It certainly was a nice item, but overpriced so much that I would never have picked it up to take to the register if there had been a price marked on it. Perhaps that's their sales strategy? Very sad for a beautiful store with many interesting items to purchase, but their sales strategy left me shaking my head and leaving the store empty-handed. read more

This is not an accident. Yes- I am writing the 6th rave review of a GIFT SHOP in SEA-TAC AIRPORT. Whoa... Fireworks in Sea-Tac has actually made me wish I had longer layovers. Seriously?! Seriously. True, Fireworks gallery has much better, more "accessible" stores around Seattle, but when I'm traveling through this airport, I cannot resist this outpost. It's a dangerous time warp and I've been forced out by exasperated travel mates multiple times. I don't think I've ever been in Sea-Tac without making a purchase. Most recently, I got some silly bracelets and a magnet. In the past, I've purchased jewelry, pencils, ornaments, candles, artwork, and the kind of random crap you never knew you ALWAYS NEEDED. Also of note: I've had to pry myself away from at least 15 times as much as I've bought. If I could make announcements on Sea-Tac's PA system, I would try to ease the minds of those who find themselves stuck in Seattle, awaiting their flights. Consider these extra hours a gift. Make lemons out of lemonade. Visit Fireworks and you will realize why this is one of my most favorite little stores in the world! I am always grateful to have a little extra time when traveling up to see my folks to stop in at the Fireworks store in the airport. This store is perfect to find something for the person who has everything. It just so happened that I was on my way to visit my mum for her 70th birthday, and instead of just giving her the wonderful gift of myself, I thought I'd shake things up a bit and see what I couldn't find to amuse her. By the way...my mom's a compulsive shopper. She has a trillion hour dvr and she actually *records* her shopping programs and then speeds through them, pausing only when something catches her eye. And something always does. Her front door is daily graced by the UPS, Fedex, or USPS delivery person and an array of brown cardboard boxes. Nearly every room has boxes strewn around, all in various stages; unopened, partially opened, empty, need to be returned, and (the most rare) ones ready to be returned. That is to say, she's tough to shop for. If she wants it, then it'll be on her doorstep in a matter of days. For obvious reasons, this is the bane of my father's existence. But, alas! Fireworks is ridiculously campy and cute, colorful and quaint. I would guess that there is something for everybody in there. My father is equally difficult to buy for. I've given up. He's a hard-core computer guy and unless it's his idea, then it's a bad idea. He's returned literally every single thing I've ever gotten him, unless it was a Dilbert calendar. That's a sure thing. Although I was hard pressed, I found those little stick on computer keys that say "Oh Shit" and "Panic." He was amused. Score 1 daughter! My favorite items are the pieces of furniture that are so beautifully, vibrantly painted and carved with positive affirmations all around. I yearn for every single piece. I bought myself a lovely journal so that I can now in my 35th year suddenly and easily write daily so as to reflect and become a perfectly balanced being. All thanks to Fireworks!
