    805 Cerveza Fish Tacos

The vibe, the beer, the service, and the food! We liked it all. We have been here many times over the years and as usual were happy with our meal. I love that they have meat free and dairy free options, and my husband was happy with his meat full option. We sat on the back patio, in the perfect weather and our server was very attentive. My portabella sando was fantastic, and my husband loved his fish tacos. Paired with a Cali squeeze and a 805 Cervesa we had a great time and a great meal! Go there if you prefer beer on tap, far better then in a can. You can even take your littles! Family friendly all the way.

We stopped on the way home from Cambria. We had the dogs so (6) of us plus (3) dogs sat on the patio, under the heaters, very cozy. Server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the pretzel and Parmesan cheese fries as an app along with a couple of beers, a Coke and my Diet Coke. Pretzel came with cheese sauce and mustard, big Bavarian type twist, plenty to share. Fries were great, came with ketchup, plenty to share. We ordered a couple of smash burgers (shared) and I got the fish and chips with steak fries. The burgers were great and my fish and chips were amazing, they even had the malt vinegar. Highly recommend for a quick lunch if you're in the area.

Always a ritual to stop by and get 805 Cerveza with 805 smash! The smashburger is a perfect blend of meat, juicy cheese, onions, pickles, house sauce and with the soft bun. Every bite was great and Wasn't overwhelming in any way. Perfect smash burger! Also got the buffalo chicken wings this time which was decent but can be skipped if you're not into it. As far as service Ely was a great server as well and very attentive and always checked up on us. This place is great stop by and try them out! Everyone's friendly, good food and good beer!

We felt like we hit the jackpot when we found out we could visit Firestone Walker while we were in town. We've had several of their special brews so getting a chance to try them in person was a real treat! We were seated immediately by the friendly host staff and we were off to the sampling races in no time! Our attentive server Nicholas was so helpful and provided great service and suggestions! We got a few flights of some brews we've never had a chance to try before and snagged a few bottles and cans to go to enjoy at a later time. We were there around lunch time so we wanted to get a bite to eat too and that was definitely a good choice! We decided to share a braised rib on a bed of polenta with roasted vegetables which was absolutely delicious and oh so tender! It was very refreshing to see families gathering around us and all the laughter and joy filling this large space! All of the staff were noticeably happy so it felt good to see that too! We had no idea Firestone Walker was in Paso Robles but now we know! We couldn't believe how large the production facilities were when we pulled up! Wish we had more time to be able to do a tour but we'll have to plan for that next time we're in town. It was our first time in the area but it won't be our last! We can't wait to come back! I hope everyone else doesn't hesitate to go check them out too! You won't regret it!

This is our second Firestone Taproom we have been to. The first one was in Buellton. Very large dining area and a good amount of 805 Merch (my husband already has it all). Solid place for cold beers and pub type food. Service is excellent. Our server was Zach and he was very attentive, refilling waters, etc. The food is good. My husband ordered a burger with fries and I ordered Mac n Cheese (appetizer size). Food came out quickly and the beers were cold and refreshing. Definitely a great place for families and large groups. We saw several large groups and lots of families!

The specials for the week. I really appreciate that they offer discounts to locals on Mondays. I took advantage of it too!

I don't go here often enough! I am not much of a drinker but, they have such great food! It's a quick drive from my house and I always feel that it's worth it. Weekdays are definitely the better time to go. It can get crazy busy on the weekends! The staff is really good at taking care of you, getting your order out pretty quickly and staying on top of your needs. It such a great environment to enjoy yourself or with a group of friends too. Try it out!

Delicious food, great service, looks like there's some remodeling. Very cool atmosphere! Outdoor seating looks larger too. We always end our coast vacations with a stop at Firestone. Always the best! Wish we had this restaurant in Visalia. Thanks and until next time

Stopped by for one of my favorite brews and a bite to eat. The restaurant is very nice and spacious; truly a nod to the large brewery by its name. We arrived at a good time; between lunch and dinner service so there was no wait. My wife ordered a beer flight. I went for the blood orange Cali Squeeze which I really enjoy. We paired this with the large shrimp appetizer. For our main course we had the ribs and the blue cheese burger. Everything tasted good. I particularly liked the shoe string fries. I'm glad I stopped by . Will definitely return

This brewery is huge and you'll probably see it as you are driving on 101. We came here for beer and dinner and I love that you can order individually with QR code at the table. I got a Pear Saison beer and it is delightful. I don't drink beer much but I love this one and would come back for this. However it's the food item that I didn't quite like. I ordered the fish and chips off of their signature menu. But the fish came soggy and is completely falling apart. I felt so bad sending it back but the service is amazing and they made a new one. The new one also came falling apart. It's somehow fresh and soggy at the same time. The batter is just offfffff the fish like no tomorrow. And it really kills the fish and chips experience you know. The thing is. This is a signature menu item. It's not your afterthought food item. I would imagine a signature item is well thought out but it didn't deliver. The chips tho are delicious! It's nicely fried, could be crispier on the outside but this is good enough. The inside has very tall ceilings and it feels very open. Btw there is a super interesting beer can conveyor belt installation. So cool!

Firestone is always delicious and hits the spot - especially after a mini road trip! Some great beers, American cuisine, and good vibes. I've been to the Buellton location and this was my first time visiting the one in Paso. It's basically on a Firestone Walker compound, and very spacious indoors and out! Our service was very friendly and fast, and we enjoyed our beers and burgers. You can't really go wrong with anything, it's a bit like upgraded bar food. Come for the bites, stay for the beers with good company!

    BEER!

Finally made it to Firestone Walker to try out some of my fave beers! This is a really cool location with the brewery and taproom in one spot. It is a very industrial looking complex that added to the experience. The taproom is huge with plenty of seating. We ordered the Cali-Western Smash Burger. This was a really good burger with the bacon and BBQ sauce. The potato bun added a nice touch to the burger. We also ordered the meat pizza. It had great taste and substance, but the cust could have been cooked longer. The server was really helpful and quick to get us beers and allowed us to taste a couple prior to committing. They have several beers that I had not seen before and was happy to taste them out. We wished they had the Cali Squeeze on tap so that we could try them out. We got there a little late and missed going to the merch Emporium, also located in the same complex. They do have a small merch section in the taproom, but apparently they have much more in the Emporium.

Paso will always have the best selection of everything!!!

    Indeed!

Yes. You definitely can fill growlers

Sorry Sonny, we do not have any guest taps at this time, serving all Firestone Walker beers only. Plenty to choose from though!

    Can we make reservations?

I called today to make a reservation for a large party. They said they don't take reservations and to call about 10 minutes before we want to come in to find out if they are busy and can accommodate us.

    Are they dog friendly?

They let us bring our dog on the patio when we were there last October. There were quite a few dogs there.

On my first visit (evening), we walked in without a reservation and were quickly seated at the last available table. The place had a lively atmosphere, and it looked like part of the space turns into more of a dance floor later in the night. I had the French onion soup, raw oysters, and the pot pie, all of which were good. The pot pie in particular is something I would recommend. This most recent visit was for lunch on a weekday. There were plenty of open tables, and we were seated right away. Parking was easy, which is typical outside of busy weekends. The experience this time around was more mixed. We wanted to order oysters Rockefeller, but they were completely out of oysters, which was disappointing. I ordered a black and tan, which tasted fine, but it came with a design on top that I wasn't expecting. Not a big deal, just different from what I had in mind. For food, my girlfriend ordered the blackened salmon and said it was good. I went with the corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef itself was flavorful and served over mashed potatoes, which were well done. The cabbage, though, wasn't what I expected. Instead of a more traditional preparation, it was grilled with char marks and topped with au jus. The texture came out a bit rubbery and didn't really absorb the flavor well, which made that part of the dish underwhelming. Service was okay but not great. My water ran empty at one point, and I had to ask for a refill. We also ordered boneless wings as an appetizer and asked for extra ranch, which didn't come out until we reminded the server. The biggest issue, though, was something I noticed from our table with a partial view into the kitchen. An employee had their shoe up on a shelf that appeared to be holding clean dishes, which didn't come across as sanitary. I also saw food being adjusted on a plate by someone who didn't appear to be the cook. I can't speak to what's happening behind the scenes in terms of handwashing or procedures, but visually, it raised concerns. That part of the experience honestly left a bad impression. Between that, the missed items, and some inconsistencies with the food, it changed how I feel about coming back. My first visit had me excited to return, but after this one, I'm not sure I would.

Made a reservation for seven, brought our own bottle of J Duci (obviously), and settled into the fine dining area, which was noticeably quieter and more relaxed than the bar scene. Great call. Now, we came in as wine people. But the beer? Genuinely blew us away. We did a flight just to be thorough, and my dad -- a man who loves his wine -- abandoned ship entirely and went straight for the black cherry dunkelweizen. How do I describe it? Imagine someone took a Dr Pepper, gave it a glow-up, and turned it into an actual craft beer. Bizarre. Wonderful. 10/10 would confuse my taste buds again. On the food: the artichoke dip had a nice little kick to it that snuck up on you in the best way. The pretzels and cheese sauce? We need to have a serious conversation about the pretzel-to-cheese-sauce ratio, because we ran out of pretzels long before we ran out of sauce. That's not a complaint -- that's a cry for help. Send more pretzels. Three of us went for the prime rib special and my husband got the ribeye with mushrooms. The salad that came with the prime rib was fresh and crisp, and the blue cheese dressing was legit. The prime rib itself was juicy, well-seasoned, and not overly fatty. Fair warning though -- it seemed like they roast it and then finish it on the grill, so getting a true medium-rare is probably off the table. Ours came out closer to medium, but it had this great steak-like texture that honestly worked. Would I order it again? Absolutely yes. The mashed potatoes that came with everything were also quietly excellent -- the kind of side dish you keep going back to without realizing it. Really looking forward to coming back and working our way through more of the menu. Hidden gem alert for anyone doing the Paso wine trail!
