They said it was due every 20,000 miles (lie). Then they stripped the fluid screw and said they couldn't change it. Called Nissan Service and were told in this climate it is recommended to be changed every 60,000. So now we have to pay to get the screw removed and a new screw. Shysters! STAY AWAY!

The number I was given to call back went to voicemail so I got a second opinion from another more honest and reliable mechanic ...who showed me exactly where the problem was....the mechanics at roc auto were irritated that I got a second opinion while I had both them and my new mechanic on a three way call...It's really a shame that these mechanics at roc auto conducts business this way...I would not recommend them to my worst enemy They make the rest of you mechanics look like scammers who take advantage of working class citizens.....thanks a lot You have been warned don't let them take your money

When I returned, the vehicle was leaking oil heavily--something it was not doing before the service. They claimed it could be wear and tear, but the issue only started after my visit. It appears the oil filter was overtightened, which may have damaged the oil cooler/filter housing. I was also told I may have to pay for diagnostics if they deny responsibility. Very frustrating experience. Their affiliate shop who looked at the car wants 1,003.48 to fix. Never go to a valvoline they might break your car and won't fix it

I've always had difficulty trusting mechanics with cars, either because they don't check everything…read moreor try to overquote you for things. Mike (the service advisor at the Webster location) is not one of those mechanics. He is honest and transparent about his work, and he will go the extra mile to make sure everything is fixed and ready to go. I had a thumping noise issue that was affecting my car for weeks, and one Firestone location made repairs but not the right ones to remove the noise - and they also refused to look at the car any further. Thankfully Mike at the Webster location made sure he inspected the car in full (which the other location didn't do), and he was able to locate the cause - a rusted-out rear parking brake. Despite a delay in getting parts, once he received them, Mike made sure the work was done right away. He also drove the car to make sure the noise was gone. When I picked it up, I didn't hear the noise either. If you're in a pinch for repairs and you're in or near Webster, I would recommend visiting the Ridge Road location - and I hope Mike is your advisor. He will look into the issue, find the cause, and make sure the right work is done. I highly recommend him. Thank you, Mike, for being an awesome help!

Overcharged for replacement of rear brake light bulbs-- changed-- didn't want the oil change- did…read moreit anyway- charged for high mileage oil without explaining this. over two-hundred dollars. called Kia dealership after the fact-- quote for bulb change around 80.00 as opposed to approximately $120.00. Upgrade on oil change not disclosed $79.00 I will never use this Firestone nor any other Firestone for service. This is supposed to be a national company. A consumer expects a degree of similitude in pricing. Never again- Firestone has lost all credibility. In addition, after calling Firestone Corporate, the customer service representative informed me that this Firestone location would not provide a quote for the service in question. Understandable -- sort of- not completely though. Now- this is the puzzling part- the neighboring Firestone Service Center was able to provide a quote of $75.00 for the service. This is in alignment with Kia DEALERSHIP's quote. Takeaway- There is nothing to be explained away-- here. Maybe they used a higher quality bulb- A High Mileage Oil No matter- an establishment does not make decisions for another's possessions. It is simply not good business practice. Selah

I entered the shop to drop off the car key and waited for the guy before me to finish. When it was my turn, somebody called to ask for information. They talked for about 5 minutes on many issues, and they were done, the receptionist asked the customer which part of the country is he moving from. It turned out the receptionist had lived there, and then they started a lengthy conversation about this and other areas and how nice it was there. After a few minutes of a fun, relaxing talk, I reminded the receptionist I was waiting and in line in the shop before that guy called. Do I have to stay in line to listen to the personal experiences of the receptionist in the past? I told the receptionist that I needed the car at 3:15 p.m. He said there was no way they could finish it by 3 p.m. since they had other cars. Why did you make my appointment at noon if you can't complete the inspection for 3 hours? He offered me to reschedule my inspection for the next week. Does my experience suggest I make another appointment with you?

We called our dealership and they offered us an appointment in 2 weeks. On Sat AM I called the Goodyear dealer in Webster. He offered to fit us in that same day. Several hours later he called and reported that we just had some rust that needed removed. He could have charged us for a full set of brakes, but only did a minor repair. That kind of honesty is priceless in our current environment. He has my business for as long as I own a vehicle!!

Total cost at Irondequoit: $26.95 Total cost at Webster: $137. 47 WHY?? I was informed by the service representative that all 20 lug nuts needed/should be replaced because they had been damaged by weather and parking. Anyone park on the left side of the street (NOT ME) and the curb would have to be at least 12" high to make contact with a lug nut!! Ridiculous! He showed me one damaged lug nut and two that were not damaged and said that the mechanic was having difficulty trying to remove some of them. He also said it was a "safety factor" and the decision was mine. Cost: $4.95 each I've asked at least 6 qualified professionals if they've ever heard of such a thing. NOT ONE had. Oh yes, he also recommended that I change the type of oil change I've been getting regularly (at a higher price). I declined. I should have been smarter and said "no" to the lug nut replacement and that's my fault. But, I want to warn others (especially women) to be aware of what I feel was a scam and find another Service Center!
