I was very impressed with Dunn Tire here in Webster. The gentleman who took my information was honest and thankfully didn't try to up sell me. A guy work there (I don't want to mention his name) told me it would cost around $2200 to fix it. I refused and wanted to take my car home because I didn't have that kind of money at the moment. Then he wanted to charge me over $400 for the diagnostic fee. I refused to pay (I didn't want to throw away $400 for nothing) and we ended up working out a deal because I understand everyone has to make a living. But charging that much fee without saying anything or asking for permission was not acceptable. When I came to take my car home, there was also a different guy (I don't want to mention his name) also said very disrespectful and insulting things such as "uncool people can get away with lots of things" and "I don't want to deal with you anymore." Before this happened, when we were speaking on the phone, this same guy also told me "I will call the police on you for the unpaid balance" and "I don't want to deal with this shit anymore". Absolutely horrible way to say things. Speaking of uncool, perhaps your shop should be more transparent and less greedy about your fee so none of this would happen. I would avoid this place.

I had an inspection appointment for noon on 9.12.2023 (made a week ahead) at Monroe Auto Service at…read more903 Ridge Rd Webster. I entered the shop to drop off the car key and waited for the guy before me to finish. When it was my turn, somebody called to ask for information. They talked for about 5 minutes on many issues, and they were done, the receptionist asked the customer which part of the country is he moving from. It turned out the receptionist had lived there, and then they started a lengthy conversation about this and other areas and how nice it was there. After a few minutes of a fun, relaxing talk, I reminded the receptionist I was waiting and in line in the shop before that guy called. Do I have to stay in line to listen to the personal experiences of the receptionist in the past? I told the receptionist that I needed the car at 3:15 p.m. He said there was no way they could finish it by 3 p.m. since they had other cars. Why did you make my appointment at noon if you can't complete the inspection for 3 hours? He offered me to reschedule my inspection for the next week. Does my experience suggest I make another appointment with you?
