I took my GMC Sierra in once for brakes, and they sent the truck home with a huge scratch in the side. Strike one. Due to proximity to my home, I begrudgingly decided to take it back when it was misfiring. They called to tell me that they were unsure what was wrong, but I should start by replacing all 8 fuel injectors. If that didn't work, replace the spark plugs. If that didn't work, I likely had a blown head gasket and needed a whole new engine. I promptly picked it up and took it to another shop for a 2nd opinion. Turns out I needed a new solenoid and oxygen sensor. Truck runs like dream again. Interesting, because those were the EXACT codes that were on my bill from Firestone (they charged me $115.00 for computer diagnostics). I am disgusted that Firestone was going to take me for $1,000's of dollars. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of people. I don't know how they can sleep at night. Strike 2. There will not be a strike 3. read more

Terrific service! Came to St. Augustine for the day with the kids and my car overheats. They walked me through getting to the shop and when they identified the issue they stayed open late to take care of it when I was unable to find a rental car. They went above and beyond to get us back on the road. Best service experience I've ever had at an auto shop. read more

Firestone Complete Auto Care - Tires Near Me - Saint Augustine, Florida

I was traveling home to south Florida when I experienced tire trouble on I95 outside of St. Augustine. Even though this store did not have my tires in stock, Chris (I believe the manager) told me to bring my car right in and they would put the spare on my car for FREE! He then proceeded to help me with calling around to different tire stores in the area that may have my tires in stock. When tires were found, he then offered directions on the safest way to get there with the donut spare on my car. Professional, friendly and just plain awesome! read more

Had an appointment at a different auto shop up the road for an oil change early in the morning before planning to leave on a road trip, that shop unfortunately couldn't open due to a family emergency but luckily firestone was able to save me and complete the oil change without an appointment. Couldn't be happier with the service and the professionalism of the staff! read more

I've been coming here for 6 years and was pleased until recently and won't be back because of dishonesty. They have become very sales driven. I herd 3 employees talking and bragging about how much up selling they were going to do for the day. They were sitting in the managers office! I been in sales, you have to make money to be in business. I get it. This is were my concerns come in to play and know for a fact people are being ripped off. We were told that a wheel bearing need it to be replaced and was quoted $500.00 dollars. Took it for a second opinion and it was only the tire that need it replaced which was a $80.00 fix. The car had 75k miles at that time. On my SUV I was quoted $700.00 for a power steering pump replacement. Called around for part prices which was $215.00. When questioning about part pricing and labor charges, you get attitude. There's one particular employee who raises his voice and gets pushing when you don't agree to the recommendations and repairs. They want $110.00 for fuel injection cleaning for a 4 cylinder engine. At Auto zone the cleaner $10.00 dollars. All there doing is pouring a cleaner in the gas tank. I became a customer in 2008 in my home state before moving to FL. I've been around for a long time, I'm not a jumper when it comes to buying tires and getting repairs done! I was loyal until recently. This store is owned by corporate and not a franchisee. Do your research, call around. They try to make you feel if things aren't done right then and there your car will fall apart and the world coming to a end. read more

When I realized it was about time for an oil change, and the nozzles that dispense windshield washer fluid had suddenly stopped working on my car, I was honestly dreading making an appointment somewhere. With my last car having so many issues, I was in and out of auto shops around Saint Augustine during my freshman year of college, and most of the interactions I had with mechanics in this area had were unpleasant. I'm from out of state, and come from a family who works on cars, so I probably know more than the average customer of my age. I got rid of my first car after my freshman year and did not get another until a couple months ago (going into my senior yr), which brings me back to the service I received yesterday. The waiting area and restroom were clean and smelled nice. The guy I spoke to throughout the majority of the service was very professional and when I asked for clarification on certain things he explained it and didn't treat me like a child - so that was great. The staff did seem a bit friendlier to the customers that had been there before, but that's kind of expected. Unfortunately (for me), what was supposed to be an inexpensive oil change turned into an over $200 service because my serpentine belt was cracked and needed replaced. However, I am glad this was brought to my attention because if the belt were to completely break while driving, it would've likely turned into a much more expensive service. I was not forced into fixing the belt, but because it is such an important part it was strongly advised to avoid future issues. The problem with the windshield fluid nozzle was that a small piece of plastic had broke causing the fluid to not dispense, which was fixed foc. The prices are fair and the receipt/invoice breaks down how much you're paying for everything from the labor to the service/part being replaced. I would definitely recommend this location to other people in the area. read more

dropped my car off on wednesday, because the check engine light was on and it was making a rattling noise. they told me they were going to do a diagnostic and called me the next day claiming I needed a tune up. i picked up my car, spent over $500, and it was still making the noise, and the check engine light was still on. i went back the next day, and a guy told me he heard the noise the day before, and then proceeded to tell me exactly what was wrong with my car (i needed a new belt - why this wasn't fixed when i first dropped it off is beyond me) and told me to come back in a couple days. i went back, figuring they just needed to reset the code and turn off my check engine light, and replace the belt. they were nice enough to give me "discounts" on the belt and not charge me for the new diagnostic. i spent over $300 and they told me that there's still parts i need replaced. again, not sure why all of this wasn't fixed originally. they kept telling me "sorry we missed that. " while proceeding to continue to charge me. either i was scammed or they have no idea what they are doing, either way, i am out over $800 and my car is still not fully fixed. they are quick, but i wouldn't call them reliable, read more

I was in St. Augustine for a wedding and went for a quick oil change, early morning before the ceremony. The oil change place told me I needed an oil sending unit replaced ASAP, as I was headed back home the next day. I went to Firestone, as they are a brand I'm familiar with, and they had full weekend hours. I called ahead and spoke with Chris, the manager, over the phone. By the time I had arrived, they had ordered the part and began the diagnosis. Chris, then offered to give me a ride back to the house where the wedding was taking place. Two hours later, I was dressed for the wedding when Chris called. Upon arrival, the car was completely fixed, with no problems on the way home. Car is purring, and drove great! I can not be more thankful for the rush service, and the way Chris went out of the way to lend a hand. Real life savers!!! read more

On the last day (Sunday) of my St. Augustine vacation, my battery and alternator went out. Naturally, Id spent my savings on our vacation. I have a surgery on Monday and couldn't wait for parts to be ordered or for a mom and pop repair shop to open on Monday and compare prices. I could have tried to drive 4 hours home, but had my 3 year old child with me and knew it wasn't worth the risk. Listen-these guys were honest, helped in all the ways they could and are the ONLY reason I'm able to get home tonight. Thank you Shannon, Brian and all the gentlemen that came through for me. I'm so grateful for these unexpected angels. read more

I've had no AC in my car for about 2 years because every where I went was quoting me over $200 just to tell me what was wrong. Not even to fix the problem. Saw on Facebook a co-worker had checked in to this Firestone to get her's fixed and it only cost her $187. I was sold. Called them to make an appointment, got quoted the same price and they had it fixed that same day. The gentlemen, who checked me in and out, was super polite and helpful. My total came out to be $240 but that was because I had an extra part replaced/fixed. He was completely honest and transparent about everything they would and could do. I walked out of there a very happy and completely satisfied customer. Sweet hallelujah for having AC this summer! read more

I was just visiting St. Augustine when I got a flat an hour away from home. I didnt want to drive on a spare but it was getting late. I stopped in and I was out of there with a new tire in less than 30 minutes. They were quick, affordable, and just generally super helpful to someone with poor luck. Highly recommend them to anyone needing all around awesome service. They're hilarious, down-to-earth people too! read more

They serviced two of our cars and checked the brakes. So they claimed. When they really did this job, we would not have to spend $1300/car for breaks. Bad service. read more

Got my Michelin sport cup 2 tires mounted and balanced perfectly for my mustang. 2 thumbs up. Staff and work! Thank you.

I just had the worst experience here. I went here because I hit a curb and needed my practically new tire put on a new rim. I had bought the rim from the fiat dealer in jacksonville, but my car was here in St. Augustine. So I went in to firestone to ask if they could do that for me. I spoke to the manager and a technician who worked in the shop. They assured me that they could do this if I brought the new rim and old rim with tire in to the shop. The technicial also assured me that he would try to hammer out the one rim I had with a small dent in it. I went home and jacked up my car and took the ruined rim off with the good tire still on it and took this and my new rim directly back to the firestone shop. This was not even an hour later. The same manager who helped me the first time looked at the rim and tire I had brought in and claimed that it was not up to firestone standards and that since I had not bought the rim or tire at his store that he couldnt't do anything for me. After he said he would!! Did he just want me to buy a tire and rim from his store? Why would he tell me that he would change the rim and wait till I had done the work and come back to the store to change his mind? The techs in the shop were rude and ignored me when I came in the second time and I was appaled that they were refusing to put my perfectly good tire on my new rim. Isn't that what tire shops do?? I will never visit this store again and neither will my boyfriend. We were appaled. read more

Just rolled into town about 5 days ago and needed an oil change. Called on Thursday and was in on Friday! Great customer service - very friendly and accommodating. I showed up on Friday, realized I forgot my purse (and therefore no way to pay). They were super nice and continued to work on my car, and just told me I could pick up in the morning. They also said they would make sure it was done on Friday, so if I wanted to pick it up on Friday, I could! They also told me about the Christmas / Holiday parade that was happening the next day (Saturday), which I really appreciated. I picked my car up Sat. after the parade and was very pleased. I left, then came back because I wanted to ask them the best way to remount a mobile phone mount to my dash. They checked to see if they had the 3M double-sided tape and even offered to order it for me! Great experience, highly recommend and will go there again. read more

Very dissapointing! Was completely honest to what was wrong with my truck, they ripped the filter right off and broke another part which they made me pay for but they took care of labor. Mgr said that the could of turned me away but didnt. Thanks. So they ended up installing it incorrectly which resulted in another oil leak. No way I'm going back there!! read more

We had our alternator light come on about 30 min. From St. Augustine. We made it to a Napa auto parts and they tested the battery. It was 5:45 in the evening at this time and we had to get another hour south of St. Augustine for business the next day. The Napa guy called Firestone and they took us right in and had us out in about an hour. Kuddos to Jim for being so very helpful. read more

This is for Firestone Complete Auto Care on san Marco in St. Augustine Florida I have been taking our two vehicles there for many years and My wife`s 2003 Toyota Corolla start t leak oil and I thought it was normal considering high mileage and decide to take care of it myself and replace some timing pressure which was leaking oil and it was still leaking so decide to raise car and look under and saw that the leaking was coming from oil filter and it was very loose and when I start to tighten it it was like 3-4 clockwise before it start to tighten by hand. their mechanic didn't tighten it fully. So I called and spoke to store manager name Chris and told him about it and his reply was "Sorry about that and in future if see any oil leak to bring vehicle in" Am like Hello I spent amount of $ on other parts already when in fact it was oil filter that was problem and you think you would get resolution from them but not DUH Other than that their courtesy to customers are great and friendly. I recently moved to St. Augustine from South FL and was in need of a mechanic. I was excited to find what I thought was a small town mechanic - someone I could trust (as much as you can trust anyone in business) who would do a great job. These guys very quickly let me down through a myriad of issues, so I ended up at Firestone. I used Firestone back home in S. FL for oil changes, tire rotations and more recently an issue related to my car being driven on a curb (don't ask!). They were great back home and they're great here. I should have gone here first. I had the guys at the first mechanic (when we first moved) look over a used car we had recently purchased. They said they ran the car for 30 minutes and there were no problems (they always said they ran whatever car I brought in to be looked at for 30 minutes - personally I question that). We brought the car home, parked it in the garage and it started smoking and overheating. I took it to Firestone for a second opinion and was told the thermostat was shot and the water pump was cracked. I highly doubt all this happened on the 7 minute drive home from the first mechanic. The guys at Firestone are so genuine and friendly which is very much appreciated. I'll be coming here for all of my automotive needs from now on! read more
