Everything. Literally. Save yourself and your car. My vehicle that they "fixed" came back to me as if a child did the repairs. They "guarantee" their work because they GUARANTEE you'll return because they didn't fix it right in the first place. They HAMMERED my brand new control arm in place because the FRAME IS BENT! How can you call yourself a Collision center but not know how to repair a vehicle from an actual collision?? How can you put your name behind repairs that you had outsourced!!!!!????? They also did work that WASNT NEEDED. They overcharged the insurance company and installed "brand new" parts on my car that weren't even wrecked in the accident!! I was hesitant to come here due to the reviews, but I'm so glad I did. My bumper had come off, and I called to ask for an estimate. They told me my bumper was no longer being made, but to bring my car in to see what they could do. I drove over with the intention of a quick estimate as I didn't have much time but it was the only time I had free that week, and left about 15 minutes later with a fixed bumper at no charge. Everyone was so friendly, and I couldn't believe how quickly they finished. I can't recommend these guys enough. Check out their reviews on google, they're much more positive. read more

Ray's Collision held my car for 5 months. Ordered wrong parts, lost my appointment and I had to constantly be there to get the job done. When they called me to pick up the car my service agent was not there. They said I owed their detailed itemized labor & parts plus the insurance deductible...... I told the owner and his 2 agents (3 on 1 mine you) that they had already accepted the insurance company's appraisal, but that meant nothing to them. They told me I would not get my car unless I paid the deductible to them. In other words I payed the deductible twice. NEVER NEVER again!! read more

I'm really surprised to see so many bad reviews on this yelp page. I just had the best experience with Ray's Collision and I couldn't be happier with their work. I had gotten my rear bumper, trunk, and panel repaired through my insurance at another body shop but unfortunately, they did a subpar job leaving my trunk leaking whenever it rained. I ended up going back to this other shop two more times before finally giving up and going to Rays Collision. I explained the situation to Boe, the owner, and he suggested I still try to go through my insurance to have them pay for any work done since it was clear the other body shop didn't properly fix my car. Boe also went ahead and took the rear part of my car apart, identified all the issues, and sent me photos that I sent to my insurance. I was eventually able to get my insurance to agree to pay for the work at Ray's Collision. They were patient with me and let me keep my car at the shop while I figured out my payment and didn't charge me a thing. Only after my insurance had agreed to pay, they started the work. They were able to repair my car in 2 days and only charged $30 more than the original estimate! I'm very much happy with the work and communication I received at Ray's! read more

If you are looking for a collision shop that is NOT true to their word, performs sub-standard work and has poor customer service, Ray's Collision in St. Augustine is for you. This began the end of October 31 and finally was over January 13. I arrived to drop off my car for repair completion from an estimate performed exactly one week prior. I was told parts were ordered and on hand. Was told completion would be 1 1/2 weeks on the outside in case other parts needed to be ordered. After numerous calls from me and delays the car still wasn't ready after 2 weeks. I was told they did quality inspection, found other areas that needed attention and would be another week. Finally, the car was ready for pick up after 3 weeks and 1 day from drop off. Upon delivery, I saw the molding around the wheel well was installed in a sub-standard manner with glue pulling away from the body. I asked John if he felt that was acceptable. He immediately responded with "we'll order another part and you will have to come back". Now that's some serious quality control! Seemed like a red flag. Asked to have the car put on a lift so I could inspect the repair. At the front desk another guy I never met chimed in on the conversation and said "no one in 25 years of being in business ever asked that question". C'mon are you kidding me! The car was delivered back to me filthy. I was told they don't wash the cars upon returning them. Ridiculous! Returned a week later. New piece of molding was installed and again I asked to inspect it on the lift. John's response was that no lift available, again. Now the breeze from the flag waving was blowing my hair back. Insurance company offered pay to have a qualified agency do an inspection. After the inspection, I was told there was tape on the inside of the bumper. Was it repaired with spit and gum? Was not confident work was done correctly and had to take to another body shop. Inspection required removal the bumper the radar recalibrated. The end result, base work was completed correctly, a part needed to be replaced that was not installed correctly and additions clips installed that were non-existent. One would think if dealing with a reputable shop they would do their job correctly. If you're looking to waste your time and get completely jerked around, this is the place for you. Sorry to be so verbose but it was a horrible experience! read more

These guys were supposed to give me an estimate while I dropped my car off over lunch time. They ended up taking the fenders and bumpers off right away and claimed that I couldn't take the car back -- then they stalled for 3 weeks. They always seemed to be waiting on something or someone to get the quote, always blaming someone else. I eventually had to pay $500 ransom for "all the work done" just to get my car back and on top of that they damaged parts that were OK before I took it in. On top of all that they billed me for time to remove and replace the foglights when in fact there are no foglights on my Jeep. Highly suspect. read more

I would steer clear of this business at all costs. My wife's late model vehicle was backed into while she was at work and we ultimately decided to have the repairs done at Ray's. Since the estimate was essentially less than our deductible we opted to pay out of pocket. We picked up the vehicle a little over a week later to find that our check engine light was illuminated (hint: it wasn't when we dropped the vehicle off). When I brought this to their attention they apparently just cleared the code from the OBD and told me it was fixed. Of course it came back... The second time around (and after several conversations with several different people) it was decided that it could be an air flow sensor and that I should spend upwards of $600 at the dealership to have it checked/repaired. Long story short- the technician who did the front end repair manipulated the sensor when he shouldn't have! Ray's eventually re-calibrated the sensor after much heartache. To add insult to injury, it was discovered later that they forgot to reapply the factory hood emblem after paint! That was another trip back! I was wrong to think that they had to order it. They had done that- just forgot to apply it! Inferior quality control and service. Do yourself (and your mental health) a huge favor and avoid these guys. Hopefully the paint holds up, but hey- I'm sure Ray's can't control that either. read more

Ray's has been a Godsend...not only do they stand by their work, they guarantee above and beyond the call of duty. I ran into a problem when I received my vehicle back from a bumper repair. My turn signals stopped working. I took it back thinking that it was due to the bumper repair. NOT SO, they took the time to check it out. Very disappointing. these guys were recommended to us and after fixing our damaged vehicle never even drove it to see if there were any mechanical problems. Because they did this and signed off on the repair we have had no end of issues with the insurance company and the dealership. WE will end up paying several thousand dollars in front end work because they never identified any mechanical damage. These people and their friends at Bozard Ford are the only people Iv'e ever met who say a high speed front end crash will not do any damage to mechanical parts unless they are visibly broken. Morons. the yeven forgot to replace a broken blinker light when the whole front end was destroyed and had to be replaced. obviously they do what is visible and pays the most and don't even check their work. Recently we asked Boe and the team at Ray's to complete a minor body repair on our Ford Explorer. The process was seamless and the guys did an awesome job. Their estimate was very close to the final cost and the vehicle was ready on time as promised. Although we live about 30 miles from them and had closer repair options, it was worth the extra drive based on the quality and service we received. Car was "fixed" but when I picked up my car there were things broken that weren't broke when I gave them the car like the headlight toggle, had to go back to make things right that should've been right the first time. My car was left a mess including everything in my glove box being left on the floor of the car, and I dropped it off with half a tank of gas and I got it back almost empty. My experience was truly better than I had ever envisioned. They were quick and efficient when I dropped off my car. I was in and out with an immediate rental within minutes. They kept me up to date on the progress they were making, and my vehicle came out looking new. They also washed my car and shampooed my carpets before returning my vehicle which was a plus. Rays recieved our veichle October 28th and we just today, January 4th, were able to pick up our vehicle. The van was on empty and our battery died at the pump! Our dvd player and stero did not work. They were 5 weeks later than promised returning our veichle due to missing parts on honda but still did not fix the issues. We called the manager BO immediately and he had nothing to say! We were hoping to recieve our veichle better then before but we are very disappointed and do not reccomend this place to anyone. read more

The worst collision center I've ever used. Have had my vehicle over 35 days. I show up to pick it up when I'm told it was ready and two guys with blank faces look at me and tell me the check engine light came when I had no engine issues to begin with. The incompetence of this place is truly amazing. Do not use them. Use Gregs Auto. I had a not good experance. I droped my car for a reapair using my insurance and all seemed ok. The person that did my intake seemed over welmed by his work load but did get me took care of after a wile. Befor I got a ride to my rental car they had moved my car out of site and left soon after. The next day I needed an item left behind so I stoped by to get it, at this point my car was disassembled for repair and i thought all was good. Well fifteen days with no communication from them I called them and was then told I needed to come to the shop and see Boe the shop manager. I went to the shop and was escorted out to look at my car and gess what on day fifteen not one thing had been done to repair my car and nor had I been called and told there was a problem and they acted as they were in no obligation to keep me informed and on reason of any kind for not keeping me informed. gess they forgot I am the customer and just common respect would dictate a call to me or even better yet wile I was standing at the counter on day two just tell me then. Back to looking at my car with Boe and the body machanic I asume was working on my car. The machanic explained what was to be done to make the reapair, and then Boe points out an other potentail problem and what else would be needed to be done. And I responded wow that will bring my car to a total loss over a dent and I am not able to go there I need to keep my car. Boe then said well if you don't fix the car I don't make any money well there ya go. He then said He was going in to check if he had heard back from the Insurance company and he would be right back. Now me and machanic standing there waiting I'm asking him what my options are for a fix that keeps me in my car and he says the car can be repaired with the other problem left as is the shop just won't garintee the repair. Boe never comes back so I go inside looking for him to try and finish things up, I find him in his office and he tells me that he has not heard from my insurance company. I then trying to find a way to not lose my truck asked Boe if the shop could put a flat bed kit on it and he refused to do any other work than OME work and then slid in and you'r insurance isn't going to pay for you'r repairs and turns his back on me, so I left. when I got home I called my ajuster and there had been no communication and that I should call the the person that did my estamate for them that is whom would be handeling it, so I did. Only to finde out that not only had he been in touch but that day so he by his own words is a lier. but after that conversation with estamate prepair person only minits later the ajuster called to tell me that they were going to total my car because the boty shop had turned in a request for an additional five thousand dallors. Now I call Ray's and tell the to get my car ready to be picked up and let me know when to pic it up but again its to much to give the certousy of a call I again have to call them at the end of the day only to find I could have already picked it up, next mourning I go there to get my car and find it is being held for ransom and I was forced to pay them for wasting my time, lying to me, having no communication skills, and absalutly no compasion. So much for the littel fish on you'r buissnes card I would rather do bussines with the devil at least I know in advance I'm getting scrued. read more
