3.5 Stars.....Been using this location for approx 15 years for more than 6 different cars. Of course when you bring a car in for something, always expect a bunch of " recommendations" for other services. Some may be needed, some not so much, but YOU have to be a smart consumer too. Never had a problem with a repair or upgrade. Staff is knowledgeable. But best of all they are open 7 days a week which really helps when you have a busy schedule and you can drop the car off the night before you need service. read more

I went back to them so they can make it right but they denied it. They said they would put a claim in through their insurance but never followed through. Had a slow leak in a tire late on a Sunday night. We tried to patch it but the object was stuck in the tire. I called Firestone in Saddle Brook and spoke with Kelly first thing Monday morning to see if theycoul d patch it. She made an appointment for me right away and I was there within a half hour. Unfortunately the tire could not be patched due to damage and the tire equal to what I needed was not in stock. But Kelly put an order for the correct tire for same day delivery. She knew I had to get to work so the mechanic (sorry did not get name) was so kind as to put my spare tire on for the day so I could get to work and they had my new tire ready on the rim when I went back that night. I just want to start off by saying I am extremely dissatisfied with the "service" I got yesterday from this Firestone. I made an appointment for Sunday morning at 10 am to replace my tires. When I dropped the car off they told me the car should be ready around noon time. I agreed and decided to go for a walk around town. Then I get a call around noon saying that my car is not ready yet and that I also need to replace my shock absorbers. I agreed to have it fixed and they said the car will then be ready by 5 pm. I was a bit disappointed not having a car for that long but I agreed since it needed to be done. They call me around 4 pm and say that they accidentally ordered the wrong parts and that my car won't be ready by the end of the day. I work 6 days a week every single week, over 12 hours a day. This was the only time I had to do this, and now they have wasted my whole day, they didn't even replace the tires yet because they said they wanted to fix the other part first. Kelly, the woman I was speaking with throughout this whole day said that the good news is that at least the correct part they order will be cheaper since it's for an older model. How is that good news. I went back to Firestone and told them to just give me my car back as they have wasted an entire day and did not even replace my tires which is what I came in for in the first place. How can a tire shop as well known as Firestone not be able to handle something so simple as replacing tires within a decent timeframe and not ordering the wrong parts for a simple fix. They did not even offer any discount. All Kelly could say is sorry and apologize. An apology is not going to get my entire day back that they wasted. DO NOT come here unless you want to have your time wasted and have them not take accountability for their mistakes. read more

This Firestone on Market Street came through in a clutch as I wobbled my car on 3 wheels coming across the George Washington Bridge. This was the closest reliable location I could find on my quick google search on the shoulder of the Garden State Hwy. They offered me several different high and low options to replace or repair my blown out tire. They were not pushy and allowed me to fairly make my the best decision for my car despite my desperate situation at the time. They repaired my tire in a reasonable time and declined my tip. No complaints on my spontaneous visit to the Firestone location. read more

An indication of "tire sensor fault" came up on my dashboard three times. The technician suggested that I may actually have low air pressure in my tire and asked which one. I responded that my car does not indicate which tire and that I didn't think it was actually low air because it happened three times while traveling at 65 mph on route 287 in Rockland County. Nonetheless, he checked the air pressure in all my tires and verified that they were properly inflated. He then looked at his computer screen and quoted me a price of $256. I was taken aback by the price but, I figured this is a minor routine issue and all such establishments must necessarily keep their prices competitive. I was in somewhat of a hurry so I asked how long it would take. He responded that there were two cars ahead of me. At that time two of the three bays were occupied. I sat down to wait but, decided 15 minutes later that since I didn't know how long it was going to take and it wasn't an emergency I would leave and come back later. When I asked for my keys he told me that my car was already in the bay, it would only take 30 minutes and could I not wait. This surprised me because the first bay was still empty and the second bay had the same car in it. So what happened to the two cars ahead of me? Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised to be leaving in thirty minutes and verified the time with the technician as being 4:45 pm. At 5:15 pm I looked to see that my car was no longer in the bay. I got my keys and paid the bill. At this point, the technician offered to print the receipt which I thought was unusual since there was a sign saying all receipts would be emailed. I took my printed receipt and went home. But I was still haunted by the thought that I had been overcharged. The next day I Googled Mavis to see that their charge for the same service was $90. I then called ETD in Hillsdale and they quoted me a price of $100. Neither Mavis or ETD needed to know the tire, make, year, or model. The charge would be the same and ETD verified that the $100 quote was total - part and installation. I urge you to check their price before using their service. After reading the message from Lee S. - I first posted this review about a month ago. I got the exact same response/request from Lee S. I provided all the details and Lee S. responded that the additional information would be sent to the area manager for action. There has been no follow-up and the only action taken was my review was mysteriously removed from the YELP website. So again - CHECK THEIR PRICE!! read more

don't normally visit this location but the place I normally go didn't have the oil my car uses. I called the day before to verify that they had my oil. They confirmed and gave me a 3pm appointment and told me that it should take 1 hour to complete (normally my oil changes are quicker). It's now 5:46 pm, I'm the only customer here and I've been waiting over 2 1/2 hours. The first person I asked to tell me how much longer I'd wait said he would find out and get back to me. That was 30 minutes ago and he never came back. I then went to another person who saw me standing in front of him for about 2 minutes, refused to address me then tried to walk away until I called him out. So this Firestone is my preferred go to for an oil change for a number of reasons. There is one of those convenient drive thru no appointment chain places less than a mile from me and another a little further which is much closer than this Firestone. So why would I drive a distance for the same service? The convenience isn't worth the hassle someone trying to upsell some service I do not need. The extra expense of an premium oil change is significant over $30 more than Firestone and you are not getting the skill and experience of a mechanic. Plus if something else is going on you would need to take your car to a full service auto mechanic so any time savings is totally lost. Convenience is being able to drop it off the night before & have the piece of mind knowing you are good to go until your next service visit. No surprises & if you do need a part they guarantee their parts. So you only pay for labor after the initial expense. read more

It's been 11 days and no responses to my inquiries from Firestone Corporate. I've called their helpdesk every day only to be "ghosted " by my claim adjuster. Next step is to hire an attorney!!! All were booked even this location, but the gentleman told me to call after 12pm to inquire if they can accommodate me. I called around 1pm and he told me to come right over. Ive been here twice for my oil change, and i'm quite pleased. I make an appointment, and they take me right away. I'm in and out in about 45 minutes. Its about $56 for an oil change for my car which lasts about 5 months. They suggest what I could also get done, but they arent pushy. read more

I made an appointment online over a week ago, for windshield wipers and a front end alignment, I advised that I would wait for the vehicle, I called to confirm my appointment and I'm told I have to leave the car that they have 10 cars in front of me, what is the point of making an appointment if you can't keep it? An alignment and wiper blades should not take more than 90 minutes This is not the first time it happened but this will definitely be the last time. My car was recently serviced at the Saddle Brook, NJ Firestone location on Market St. and I am compelled to praise the service and the staff there. Everyone was courteous & professional, the manager went above and beyond to assess the services that my car needed, and everything was provided in a timely manner, reasonably priced. Any time there is an issue with a car, we are almost always prepared for hassles, huge expenses and inconveniences. This experience was the complete opposite and that's why I chose to offer a review. My car wouldn't start one Saturday night. All the warning lights came on so I had no idea what was wrong. The next day a tow truck came and jump started it. I got it home and called Firestone to see if they can do a diagnostic test so I could find out what the problem was. The guy said that they had time the next day, Monday. I told them I would drop it off tonight (Sunday) and leave my keys in the night drop so they could work in it during the day. I was told that was great, they would call me. Around 1 pm on Monday I was at work and realised no one called. I called them, and the person I wound up talking to first said it was under warranty. I said, you didn't tell me what's wrong. He put me on hold then came back and said, it's ok. I just started it 8 or 9 times. I said, but did you Check It? He said, yeah I started it. WTF? As an added bonus I had asked them to change my rim, a problem they told me about a few months ago. The guy said they could order a new one when I'm ready. I asked them to do that when I made the appt on Sunday. This guy said, no my guy can't find a rim for your car. Thanks for wasting my time and treating me like my issue wasn't important enough for you. You lost all my trust and my business. I'm a big fan of this Firestone. They're professional and courteous, which is something that a woman like me (completely ignorant of anything car-related) doesn't often experience. Never condescending, even when your questions may be stupid. I do not have Firestone experience outside this location, but highly recommend this one. The gentlemen who work there really take the time to make sure that you're making the best decision for you, even if it's not the highest-price option. Good hours too for Bergen County. I couldn't get to 5 stars just because it's pricier than smaller shops, and the correct mechanic staff was not in once on a Saturday when I brought my car in, so a particular repair could not be made and I had to come back during the week. read more

I desperately needed tires on my vehicle and I needed a decent price and the max I wanted to spend was $600 for my van. Previously I went to Pep Boys...tires not good. I was going to go to Sears in Hackensack. I spoke with a guy on the phone at Sears he was very courteous and the price he quoted was right. I was enroute until I stopped at a gas station to put air in my rear tire. After putting air in my tire, I noticed that the tires that were on my vehicle were the same tires that the guy at Sears gave me a quote on. NO WAY did I want the same tires since the tires mentioned were the same garbage tires I purchased from Pep Boys. So I go to Firestone in Hackensack. They had a sale. Unfortunately, the guy at the Firestone in Hackensack said he didn't have the tires I needed in stock but Saddlebrook did. Now that I had a little air in my tire, I could make it to Saddle Brook. I called first and the guy Ken (I think that was his name) told me to come on over. He said they would do a complete diagnostic. I knew I needed front brakes and there is something else going on at least I thought by my front tire. I didn't tell them because I wanted them to find. The guy Ken says, ok. You need front brakes (yes, I knew this) and he explained the noise that I heard at my front tire. Something with the ball joint and the work is going to cost me...heavy sigh! however, I told him that I could do tires and my oil change today and then I would be back next week for my front brakes and the ball joint issue. I liked that the guys were professional, knowledgeable and you didn't feel as if you were pressured to do anything. I went in on Saturday at 8 am. and I was done by 9:30 a.m. While I was about to leave the place there were 2 lines. I felt that this Firestone knows what they were doing. I will return this week to get my next round of work done. Like the previous reviewer, I say four stars as they are a little more expensive; but, I'm giving it 5 stars because with some local mechanics you really have to worry about low quality after-market auto parts. My new tires feel great on the road :) and I like that they have early drop off service so now I can drop my car at 6:00 a.m. and catch that bus into NYC for work. Poor management and poor workmanship. They the work isn't inspected before leaving the shop. I had the car in here back in late July and again this week. They can't figure out how to reinstall a cover underneath the front end resulting in cover dragging under the car. They told me they removed the cover and to drive like that. Pushed back and demanded that they fix it ASAP. Asked for the name and number of district manager. Was given a name but no phone number. When I asked for the number a second time, 'look at corporate webpage for the number'. Incredible. Store doesn't have phone number to district manager at the ready. It's all disappointing because the shop used to be top notch. They have slipped. read more

Excellent service, quality, speed and performance! I moved to Fort Lee, NJ in October of 2015. I chose to go to this particular Firestone location because they had the best Yelp reviews amongst the other facilities in the area. This location is 5 minutes further than any of the other locations nearby, but it's well worth the extra bit of time. I've been here 3 times now, and every single time, I've been greeted with courtesy and respect. The representatives at the desk are polite, informative and honest. We all know that auto mechanics can be shysters. Not at this location. They do phenomenal work. I've never had a single problem with my car after the repairs they've performed. I've had a chance to talk with them in private multiple times, and I can't say enough good things about their intelligence, morals and values. You won't regret going to Saddle Brook's facility. Being someone who has attended auto mechanic school myself in the past, I can attest to the fact that they know what they are doing. Brought my SUV in for a brake job. My car would shake when I would make a stop. Ended up being my rotors. They replaced the rotors and installed new pads, checked my rear brakes and got a fuel injection flush. It was a bit pricey but the job was done in a timely fashion and when I rolled my 2007 Ford Escape off their parking lot and onto the street, it felt like I was driving a brand new car! read more

This place can never repair my car. They always find various justifications. Their seasonal care packages are ripoff. They never bother to check anything, never rotate or inflate tires. But if they do, they over inflate. Don't recommend this place for repair, would recommend for oil changes but on weekdays only. read more

Definitely better than the Broadway one. I've had a carco inspection for insurance here which only took me about 15 minutes. I made an appointment for 10:00 am to have two tires installed. Got there at 9:45 am. I had added an oil change when I got there. Others were also waiting which I later found out that they did not have an appointment. While waiting for my car to be brought in others came in after me. So at 10:30 my car was brought in. At this point I'm thinking it shouldn't take that long. Well boy was I wrong. The people who came in after me had their cars taken care of before mine and mine is still on the lift. Mind you, I worked in the auto industry for many years. You always take care of the people who actually make appointments as opposed to those who walk in off the street first. Another gentleman came in who had an 11:00 am appointment. So now it's about 11:45 am and my car is still not ready. I asked the service advisor what the holdup is and he said let me go and find out. He came back and apologized and advised that he had yelled at the technician, who I later found out to be named John. He said it shouldn't be that much longer. Again, not true. So another 35 minutes goes by and I made another inquiry and expressed my anger. The advisor had apologized again and gave me a coupon for a free oil change. Yea, like I would go back. So after two hours and forty-five minutes my car is finally pulled out. I only needed to have one tire replaced due to a nail in it but wanted the tread to match so I had both the rear tires replaced. I still had one good tire on the car that I wanted to keep as a spare which I instructed the advisor to make a note of. Before I pulled away, I knew to make sure that the good tire that was taken off the car was in the tailgate. And of course it wasn't. The advisor had to go and retrieve my tire and put it in my car. I didn't notice it at the time, but when I got home and went to put the spare tire in my garage, my lug wrench was thrown back into the tailgate and not in the compartment which holds the tools to change the tire as well as the spare. I'd also like to add that the poor man that had the 11:00 am appointment, only had his car brought in at 12:25 pm. I can only imagine what time he finished. I was very disappointed with my experience at firestone. I had a flat tire that could not be changed at home because part of the wheel was damaged. Firestone informed me, with much attitude and rudeness, that they just could not help me as they were too busy. I asked if they could please just squeeze me in as my car was undrivable, and I'd already been stranded for a day. He said fine he'll get it done but I'll have to wait a few hours. I Told him I'd need 20 minutes to go get a ride back to my house. The next customer (a male!) did not get any attitude and was "squeezed in" with no difficulty at all. They even offered to drive him to pick up his companion's car so he wouldn't be stranded. Funny how I wasn't offered that same courtesy. When they got to my car, they quoted me a ridiculous price that I did not want to pay, so they slapped the donut on and further damaged my wheel lock in the process. I got the tire fixed in 20 minutes with no hassle and at half the cost in another location. read more
