I purchased a new to me, used, 2024 truck and wanted to get the oil changed. I have used Firestone facilities in California and figured I would give the one closest to my home here a try. Located online and made my appointment. The staff at the desk were very friendly and professional. The facility was nice and the waiting room/lobby very accomodating with vending machines and a television. It was a simple oil change, checked fluid levels, etc. So far everything has been okay with my truck. There was a small drop leak immediately after the oil change, but appears to have stopped. read more

On 6/09/24 I visited Firestone because I had leaks in my rear tires. I was informed that one of the tires needed to be replaced. My vehicle is brand new, (2024 Tuscan, Plug-In Hybrid) purchased April, 30th 2024. Firestone rep, Service Manager Karam Bahnoo, said they needed to go elsewhere to find a tire that matched. I waited well over 4 hours and discovered the tire replaced was an unknown name brand and did not match the original Michelin's!. After much arguing I went home,(It was after 5pm) called my Hyundai dealer, and he said to go back & speak with a manager. Next morning, I discovered that the General Manager was not there (Monday June 10th, 7am). Service Manager Karam Bahnoo,went to the back of the shop. After 10 minutes he asked me to follow him and demonstrated to me that he could not find my original tire! I left this Firestone outlet and I went to COSTCO. There I purchased a proper/correct tire, And explain my dilemma. They cleaned the off brand name tire, and placed it in a plastic cover bag. I then returned the "Suredrive" tire & made Karam Bahnoo sign a return receipt, documenting this transaction.(Copy Attached). I believe my original tire was stolen! There was only 1K miles on it! This tire only needed to be plugged and/or patched. The "rationale" (for replacement) was that the screw was about 1 inch from the edge. I would have liked to patch/plug this replacement tire, and use this tire as a spare. PS I am a senior citizen and I'm 73 years old. I believe that the Service Manager Karam Bahnoo , was trying to take advantage of me thinking that I may have cognitive decline and/or dementia. This crooked, thieving behavior should not be tolerated! An investigation need s to be conducted ASAP I also registered complaints with Firestone's corporate office, The Better Business Bureau , and the Attorney General's Office of the State Of Arizona. read more

I agree with Amanda in that if Yelp offered negative stars, this Firestone would get a -5. The first time I went in they overcharged me by 60%. It's a long story but to shorten it, they charged me for a service and didn't provide it (alignment). I wasn't aware they didn't do anything to the car until I got home and read their notes. Then it took several trips back to get my $220 refund for a service they didn't provide, which was noted in their own notes. Disgraceful. Sadly, I gave them a second chance. Same thing this time but they charged 200% over what was ordered and quoted. So for a second car, my 16YO son's car, they tried their fraudulent practices again. I had to go back once again for the overcharge and Karam Bahnoo (Service "Manager") proceeded to argue with me for 10 minutes as I requested the refund, a couple of hours after my son picked up. He has the absolute worst customer service skills and cannot read people. Professionally not the person you want up front dealing with public. The store manager, Joe Hecker, is a great and nice guy but since this is round 2 of refunds and charging for what wasn't ordered shows that being nice doesn't transfer to being a skilled manager. I was waiting he said it could be 60-90 mins. 45 mins later everything was done and they didn't try and tell me things were wrong or over charge me for other stuff . I had the pleasure of dealing with Ninos today,a truly kind and knowledgeable employee who went above and beyond to help me with my car's brakes. As a single mom and who knows very little about cars, I was feeling overwhelmed when my brakes were making a strange noise. I came right in without even calling and Ninos was patient, understanding, and explained everything so clearly. He took the time to show me what needed to be fixed and offered his expertise without any pressure. It's rare to come across someone so generous with their time and skills, and I'm incredibly grateful for his help. He made a stressful situation much easier to navigate, and I couldn't recommend him more! Thank you Ninos for being so kind and for making sure I was safe on the road. I left my car there and took an uber home. They do have a good size waiting room but I wanted to go home and not rush them. They called me to update me a couple times throughout and I kept telling them to take their time. I also had my tire replaced there a couple weeks ago and I was in and out in less than an hour. I give it two stars for the customer service I experienced from Guillermo. He was great! I dropped off my car on my lunch break at noon for a 1pm oil change but I needed to get back to work. I told them I would be back at 5 to pick up. I got a call at 252 saying it was ready. Imagine my surprise when I got dropped off at 513 to pick up when they told me it be 20 minutes for the cabin air filter to be delivered. After 18 minutes he comes back to me to say it was the wrong one and all he said was I'll delete the charge. ‍ I asked for my spare to be aired up since I'm going on a road trip. Run, don't walk away from this deceptive predatory shop! We had our rear brakes And rotors replaced in September. A dull grinding sound developed in the first month. Took it back, they insisted they couldn't duplicate the noise but the brakes were "beautiful". Took it back again in December for same issue, got the same diagnosis(which was non). Took vehicle in for an oil change on Monday, now there are $6000 worth of repairs needed and the Manager gives the old "you're lucky you're not dead" sales tactic to my wife about the "dangerous" needed repairs, but the brakes are still "beautiful" by his personal diagnosis. Took the vehicle to another shop, right rear brake pad is metal on metal causing the scraping... took the vehicle in today to show the video from the other shop. He refused to look at it because "there isn't enough gas in it to test drive it"(1/4 tank? how far are you driving it?) I admittedly got frustrated, to which he responded with asking us to leave, so we did and won't be back. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS!!! If I could give less than one star I would. My daughter took her car here for evaluation. They ran a diagnostic and she was told the repair would cost $1600. She was talked down to in a condescending tone like she was unintelligent, probably because she's young and female. We decided to get other estimates, and turns out it did not need all the work they quoted. The issue was fixed for $150 parts and labor. I feel Firestone should refund the $100 diagnostic fee because they clearly misdiagnosed the problem. Run from this place as fast as you can! They can't be trusted. read more

So my 2005 Tahoe four wheel drive switch light turned off. I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to replace it I figured it would be pretty inexpensive to have Firestone replace it ..the switch itself was around $35 online. The Vehicle was driving properly and I don't really put it in 4-wheel drive but I figured I'd fix the switch anyway so I dropped it off at Firestone on 83rd Avenue and Deer Valley Road. He called me after a few hours and said the switch was okay but I needed a switch motor and it was going to be $700. Damn I thought that was pretty expensive but stupid me, I agree to go ahead with the repair and I picked it up the next morning. Once I got home I switched the vehicle into four-wheel drive. Now the vehicle was making noises and no matter what I did the vehicle would not move out of Low 4 wheel drive. I promptly called Firestone and had it towed back to the shop. This trip they said oh the part we put in didn't fix it. No I needed a new transfer case It was like $2,700. Of course they couldn't put it back into two-wheel drive it was broken so I had to go forward with the repair. But now I'm kicking myself. The next day I noticed there was some oil leaking on the driveway and I figured it was some residual dripping from the work they did. I parked in the back yard and forgot about it I only drive the vehicle like once a month. A few weeks later I was going to take the vehicle up to Prescott but there was a pool of oil under the front in the middle right where the transfer case is. I took it back to Firestone and in just a short while they call me they said I had a rear seal leak and the oil pan gasket needed to be replaced for about $1,800 total. Cha-ching cha-ching. This is how Firestone turns a $35 switch into $4,000. Not too shabby a profit aye? That's what I get for taking my vehicle into a tire shop for vehicle repair. I need two sets of tires one for a Ford F150 and 1 set for our Lexus. Gee I can't afford tires right now but when I can I'm taking my business somewhere else. You should too. A good repair shop would not make things worse than when you bring it in and wouldn't do any work if they can't undo the problem they may cause or take responsibility for it. After reading the other reviews I'm wondering if I should check the oil pan bolts. Tak tsk.. are there no good repair shops left in the North Valley? read more

I bought 4 new tires for audi with warranty. I asked them to replace and fix them as it been a little over a year. I had a huge blow out due to road hazards( which warranty would cover)- they want me to ship back the tire then +20 business to see if they are going to replace. They leave me without a car. Went in for a simple oil change..on the 14th of January.....presented with a "suggested" $1700+ bill for work on shocks and struts...(they ALWAYS seem to be bad, right?..lol) Main problem I have with these schmucks is that there was a "mysterious" leak from what my mechanic told me was a stripped oil pan...oh, that needed to be replaced...later my new personal mechanic said it was tampered with... 115k on this Ford Focus 2007 which has been babied by grandpa most of its life. Had a prepurchase inspection done on a '06 Toyota Matrix here. The $10 inspection helped knock $600 off the sale price, due to it needing about $1,100 in repairs. Had the majority of work done today by Horatio, the technician. A new front half shaft, two front tires, alignment, and an oil change came out to $1,030. I had been quoted $1,100 just for the half shaft by a shop right next to my work, K**ry's Car Care, where I had a new serpentine belt and air filter put in (for which I paid $160 over Firestone's quote as well). Was told it would take about five hours to complete. The waiting area is very nice, made the total wait time of five hours and twenty minutes less miserable. Joe and Trevor in the front are great. Cheap prices and efficient work, I will be coming here from now on. read more

My car has been having issues. Charged me $550 for a Hub bearing and removal of wheel bearing. Took off the entire skid plate and just threw it in the trunk with all the bolts. Now they are claiming they aren't a body shop and can't do some good honest work on the car. Unfortunate. Intentionally left skid plate removal off the bill. Bad service and management. read more

I bought tires from Firestone within the past year. Yesterday I went in to get them rotated. Went in with my Ford Escape perfect and left with it pulling so hard to the right that it's hard to drive. I notified it right away and took it back within 10 mins of leaving this shop. When I got back they refused to rebalance the tires and insisted it was the alignment (which was perfect when I dropped it off an hour before). They then said they couldn't look at it for 2+ days, mind you, the car is now difficult to drive straight because it pulls so hard. How do you take a perfectly good car and screw it up within 2 hours and then not even take the time to fix the mistake? read more

I'll never use this location or Firestone again. I took my car to this location on 10/16/2021. I had the front brakes/rotors done there Jan of 2020. I also had a lifetime alignment service. So 10/16 I take my car there after getting new tires, and the day before on 10/15, installing brand new rear brakes/rotors at home. I drop the car off and explain I need front brakes checked and lifetime alignment. They called me and then it went to unbelievable. He calls and says they checked my car and my front AND rear brakes are metal on metal and need replacing along with front and rear rotors. I called BS on him, told him he was lying as I had less than 24 hours ago replaced rear hardware. He puts me on hold for a few minutes then comes back and says it's front only, he wrote down what the tech said wrong. Then says they'll warranty the front brake pads but rotors are shot after less than 22 months. Wants $360. I pretty much tell him to go to hell, do just the alignment. The call me again in under 30 minutes and say it's done. I go to pick up my car and they have no paperwork to give me for my alignment or brake check. They even don't charge me for the brake check. I end up changing my front brake pads myself and guess what: FRONT ROTORS ARE FINE!! They don't need replacing. On the following Thursday the 21st I take my car to the dealership as I didn't trust their alignment. Guess what...alignment was off. I call Firestone Corporate to file complaint and demand refund for lifetime alignment. They said the store manager would call me back on Friday the 22nd. (He never did) I also went into store on Thursday to ask for the alignment printout. Guess what...they don't save them he says. And he says their printer was broken on that Saturday the 16th and why I didn't get a printout. Then they say about the brakes...."We were really busy, lot of cars that day, we were confusing cars that's what happened with info about your brakes." How many people did they do unneeded work on then because they can't stay organized?? Maybe you all need to be working somewhere else! So in recap: They are incompetent at best and liars at worst. I went into this Firestone because my check engine light was on and I was thinking my oil might be low. I told them about my check engine light and mentioned it might be my oil. I asked if I could purchase a couple quarts to top off my oil if that was the problem. The manager, John, told me to pull my car behind one of the other cars getting worked on and he would have one of his guys see if my oil was the problem for the light. Hunter, was nice enough to see that my oil was low and topped it off for me free of charge. He also cleared my check engine light so I could be on my way. You could see the shop was pretty busy, but they still went out of their way to help me out and they were so kind to do this free of charge. It truly was appreciated and you don't see that very often with car shops. Thank you to John and Hunter and to Firestone on Deer Valley! Acts like this definitely don't go unnoticed! read more

This is an old review when it was under a different tire shop name & ownership. I hope they're better managed and more professional with Firestone, having taken over. Upped it from 1 star to 3 for now. ---------------- This is a continuation of my most recent review from today. I hit max text. Anyway, the guy spoke to my husband as he stopped by on his way home from the gym this afternoon and asked the guy why this wasn't caught before? Out of all 3 of our last visits why was this not mentioned and the guy didn't have much to say.... He said he would try to help out with cost but when he typed up what the invoice would be, it would be about $520 for two new tires and an alignment. I don't see how they are trying to make this better and help the customer after their screw up. What if I had really bald tires and they didn't say anything and I was with my 3 boys on the freeway to meet my husband for lunch or dinner and my tires blew out and caused a huge accident?? Myself or my boys could be killed or seriously injured and they would have a huge lawsuit on their hands. All because their guys are not thorough. I don't care if you are a busy store!!!! You give all your attention to each vehicle as you're working on it!! Enough of the smoke breaks or eating while in the bay etc... Get your work done properly!! This kind of workmanship will cost the company a lawsuit if they don't fix the way they do things. My Dad is a retired store manager from Les Schwab Tire Co in the pacific NW and he lives down here now, just down the road from that Fletcher's and us... He looked over my receipts and mentioned that there should have been notes of the condition of my tires etc, which were not. He said it's an opportunity for a sale as well as keeping the customer safe and coming back for years. I know my dad won't ever go here and we will see how corporate deals with this tomorrow when my husband calls in the morning to discuss this whole situation. I will update my review then. RED flag.....stay away. They did not honor the on line appointment, once the repair ( replace radiator) was quoted and the work started they kept adding to the cost by finding more and since the repair was started what choice do you have, repair took over a day and half.....should have been about 4 hours, repair parts are purchased at Autozone and are marked up from 60% to 150%. The labor rate works out to be about $85.00 / hr. They failed to reconnect the transmission cooling lines to the radiator and as a result when I drove my vehicle home the transmission fluid was leaking out and all over my garage. I had to return and have this fixed which took another day. Incompetent and obviously did not check the work. All they said was sorry !!!! Service manager is rude and does not know the first thing about customer service. Stay away. read more

Took my son's 2003 Honda Accord in to get the check engine light looked at. Told counter guy that I was getting ready to sell it since son was going to college and wouldn't need it. Car's value is about $5000. Salesperson said the only way to resolve the issue would be to replace the transmission.. to the tune of $4400.. for a car that's worth about $5000. Took the car to a different shop for a second opinion and the problem was resolved with a $300 transmission flush. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Firestone anytime soon. read more

Completely unsatisfied with this place! Went there to get the brakes taken care of which were making a grinding noise. Talked with Eli at the front desk, he started out very nice and professional. After 2 hours they finally told me that the front rotors were shot and could not be resurfaced. Wanted to charge me for all new brakes and the quote came back over 500$! I called a few more places their quotes were in the mid 300's. Finally called the Brakes Plus right up the street from this place, spoke to Mark, he quoted me 280 and said bring your car in, we'll re-inspect it. Went back in to tell Eli with Fletchers that I'm not going to have them do the work on my car. His attitude changed real quick, professionalism went right out the door. He said he had to tell his mechanic to put my wheels back on. Got in my car and drove to brakes plus, my brakes were making way more noise than before they messed with it. I used to have a vehicle serviced by Fletcher for years. I'll never go back there again or any other location for that matter! Overall bad customer service and tried to rip me off! Well, if I want to be a Yelper I need to post unsatisfied reviews as well as the good. I took my car in June 2016. I called at 8:30am on a Friday and told the man the a/c wasn't cooling as it should. The man who answered told me to bring it in. I got the car there at 9am. The man told me they would call with an estimate. I didn't get a call so I called at 12:30pm and was told they were busy and hadn't gotten to it and they would call me. I didn't get a call so I called at 3pm and was told they were just getting to it. By 5pm I had places to go so I gave up. They called me at 5:30pm to give me the estimate. By this time I had no more trust in them. I went the next morning and picked up my car to take somewhere else. I think, if they were busy, they should not have told me to come in and instead made an appointment for me to go in the next day. Waiting all day, just for an estimate, is not good business. read more
