I was hauling my mule back from leg surgery and had a long 4 hour drive home. A few miles after I got on the road I realized my trailer was not pulling smoothly. I brought my car in for a brake problem and had them change the oil and transmission fluid also. They overfilled the fluid and did not reattach the oil filter. Transmission fluid sprayed all over my car and destroyed the sensors. $1550 bill for clean up and to replace the sensors. They also tried to sell me new brakes when I did not need them. I filed a claim with headquarters and was denied even though they 100% destroyed my brand new car. I've never had a nice car before and finally bought a 2011 Suburu. I spent more money on this car than I've spent on anything in my entire life. These horrible mechanics that work for this HORRIBLE, DISHONEST CORPORATE COMPANY ruined my car and WON'T PAY FOR ANY OF THE DAMAGE. I'm Very disappointed. I've trusted Firestone for quite some time now but my daughter was taken for a ride. Their '99 Tahoe had a misfire. She took it into the Melody Dr. Northglenn Colorado store with a misfire. $2,300 later it was given back "misfiring less". It was better, but not fixed. When the old parts were requested the told her they were thrown away... on the same day they did the repairs? $2,300 tune up and the vehicle wasn't fixed and there were no old parts. When Angelee at the store was contacted later to explain why she paid $2,300 for a misfire the store was very nasty with here over the phone. She took the truck to another shop and a hundred dollars later the misfire was fixed. What was the issue? Spark plug wires! I can't believe this happened at a Firestone?!?! Customer service was called regarding this situation and a return call was promised. After three days of waiting no return contact has been received. I've worked in the automotive industry for 30 years and have never treated a customer in this way. If this is the way Bridgestone Americas is doing business these days they can close my account, we'll be going somewhere else for service. read more

I'd give it a negative rating if I could. No customer communication at all. I told them I needed my car back on Sunday after dropping it off after hours on Friday. I called on Saturday and even though I used the after hours drop box, they didn't even know it was there. Then Sunday comes and no communication, so I call and call , around five times, no answer. So I go up there to see what was going on and on the door is a message closed for emergency, well can't tell me that they all had emergencies. But no call to tell me they needed to keep it or to make another appointment to bring it in. they just kept it. I had to find my own way to work last minute. Finally Monday came still no call, I called them and they said they got approval and will get the work done that day. Finally he calls later in the day and said it was done. I asked to get it after hours as they close at 5, they said no problem, I asked them to put the keys in the middle console. I go get it, no keys left in my car at all. So I call on tue and of course they had them. Poor communication all around. I will never use them again. To this day I still have no invoice, nothing to show what work was done or anything. Do not go here. I went in for an oil change, and was advised to have my tires changed as well. I knew I was due for tire replacement, so asked to get a quote. They said they were running some sort of promotion and I could great tires on sale. The sale price was still more than what I had been quoted at Costco or Discount Tire (I had done some preliminary searching since I knew it was coming up on time to replace). The sales associate suggested filling out a credit card application as there was a $100 reward for simply filling out the form. He promised and insisted I would not actually be opening a line of credit, and I could get the $100 simply for filling it out. I did so and got my new tires and a few short weeks later what do you know. There is a line of credit open in my name. I tried calling to complain and was told the manager would call me back, which never happened. I would suggest avoiding a big company like firestone (this was my first time visiting them) and instead going to a small shop. More likely to be honest, in my opinion. I was there at 8am and Bri tells me that the appointment means nothing and it would be another hour or 2 to get my car in. Full disclosure: Lyft pays for my rental to get serviced at this location but I still come here due to the close proximity to my house. This is my second time getting an oil change here, my first experience was iffy because after they completed the oil change they never showed me the topped off fluids or the oil line. I didn't think much of it and everything (besides the washer fluid has been fine). I decided to come back and schedule a second oil change, I am not very impressed. I called and specifically made an appointment (7am) only to find I wasn't even scheduled as I should of been. Moreover: the lady working was rather rude, she opened the doors late knowing I was outside waiting and couldn't even bother asking me if I wanted a cup of coffee. As I am waiting in the lobby it's now: 7:55am and I'm still waiting for my car to be done. I was having a wretched day. Hit a chunk of concrete in the road and got a flat. Also had to take my husband's car in to the Honda dealership for an electrical problem. While I was there, the folks at the dealership noticed my spare tire and wanted to replace my flat and the other front tire because of a dangerous bulge, but they wouldn't have any tires in my size until the next day. It was 12 o'clock, I had to be at work at 2 o'clock, and both cars were out of commission... Enter Deb at the Firestone across the street. She was incredibly friendly and remembered me from an ordinary oil change probably a year and a half prior, which was the only time I'd ever been there before. While they didn't have the tires I wanted in stock, she asked a co-worker to fetch them from another store. I went and had lunch and right about the time I got back, my car was ready to go. I got an oil change and tire rotation done here as required by the business to whom the car belonged. The work got done, but the customer service was lacking. The staff were not excited to serve and had that lazy, "I'm-not-enjoying-my-job" tone in their voices. So, quit! They talked about how busy they were and were obviously not eager to put their customers first and do what it took to get the work done as soon as possible. So, I made multiple trips and scheduled an appointment. The wait for the work to be done was close to an hour. That's not horrible, but I've seen faster. I attempted to buy a battery here, too. I called to get a quote on a set of tires. My car is a mini Cooper and they require run flat tires cause they don't have room for a spare tire. I had a bad experience with the Firestone on 104th, and got approved for the Firestone credit card so I could get tires and alignment. My car needs 205/ 55/r17 a size they don't keep on hand . The really nice lady on the phone pulled up my estimate from the other Firestone as I was explaining the outrageous high estimate I was given and was looking for some run flats a little cheaper. She said that I would be able to get those tires cause she applied all the coupons and rebates that those tires had ( the other Firestone didn't apply any coupons for me ) and they would be able to get those tires for me in 2 hours sent over from the warehouse. ( The other Firestone ordered tires from same warehouse but was still waiting after 2 days) so after the tires were put on the manager came to me and explained that after the free alignment check my car needed to be aligned. Quoted me around $100 for a single alignment or $199 for lifetime alignment. Went with the lifetime, then he came to me and explained that they were unable to get it aligned perfect due to something being stuck so they had applied some degreaser and wants me to weight 5 days and come back and hopefully they would be able to finish. Came back on 5th day, was there for less than 10 minutes before the technician came to explain that because my mini Cooper requires some weight added to my car in order to align it they could not proceed cause they don't have the required weights. I had recently been furloughed from my job due to this covid 19, I applied for the credit card cause I needed tires badly. Could of applied for some other credit card but went with Firestone, would of never got tires from them if there was a question about not being able to do the alignment. Don't know that much about cars but I do know that tires and alignment go hand in hand. I go to auto repair placed to get stuff done for my car cause I have no idea how to do those things myself. There name Firestone complete auto repair is definitely falsely misleading if I don't say so myself. Was also mislead when I asked if they work on mini coopers when I called and they said " yes we do" . Now I have brand new tires on my car and no money to go somewhere else to get my car aligned. So the question is "do I feel taken advantage of ???" Well yes I do!!! If they claim to work on mini coopers, then they should know what mini coopers need and be equipt or at least the knowledge of mini coopers. My new place for oil changes. Being a female and feeling like everyone's trying to take advantage of me everywhere I go, I appreciate the business they do here. On top of the good business, my synthetic blend oil changes are 19.99 with coupon. They get me in and get me out within 45 min. Quote on my tires were about average. The place is clean and the waiting area has a tv and coffee. Not much compared to the Toyota dealership but after Toyota dealership tried to take advantage of me last time- I feel comfortable taking my business to firestone. The mechanics do their job correctly and efficiently and they take the time to explain to me what is going on because I'm a stickler when it comes to cars since my last bad experience. read more

Lazy, poor service and careless workmanship. After being canceled on and rescheduled, I still took my Jeep here to have a new oil filter installed and a some diagnostics run. I am extremely disappointed in the high pitched whistle my car now makes on and off again that, after several visits/conversations, the shop refuses to remedy. It was also really scary and smelly to drive it less than 1 mile after it was worked on to find that a hose clip had been broken during service so the hose was laying on a belt -melting, smoking and smelling up my whole car. This, they also refused to remedy so for now, our zip tie rig will have to work until we find a reliable mechanic. I'm also really disappointed in the defensive, rude and lazy attitude of everyone we've spoken to so far. I don't know what went wrong to create the sound my car now makes but offering us our money back before you even attempt to fix it is really something else. Please, fellow customers and neighbors, keep doing your research and get a recommendation from a friend or neighbor before you make that same mistake I did by trying the local, nearby shop. read more

I have some serious concerns about the store located on10525 Melody Drive Northglenn CO 80234-4111. I took my car in on 09/25/18 to get 4 new tires and an oil change. Cleveland at the front desk was amazing. He was very helpful and polite and recommended I should get an alignment as well so I agreed. I was told it should only take a couple of hours. I called back in a couple hours and was told by another tech that they were almost done. I went in and they hadn't even moved my car from where I parked it. It took this shop almost 5 hours to do the oil change and put 4 new tires on and they couldn't do the alignment because the tech wasn't there. That is unacceptable! I took a look at my car the next day on noticed they didn't put valve caps on my new tires and used what looks like yellow silicone on my oil filter cap to stop it from leaking. I have changed my own oil in the past and know it will leak if you over tighten the cap. I now have to replace the oil filter cap. I called the store manager Angelee Cornejo to express my concerns and she was less then helpful and wanted me to bring my car back in. She has to be crazy to think I will let anyone in that store touch my car again if they mess up a simple oil and tire change. The service techs and staff are obviously not qualified to be working on anyone's car. The only thing that store has on a positive side is Cleveland. This in not an isolated incident either. My mom and brother have had similar issues with this store. For the safety of everyone that does have their cars serviced here I really think they need to look at their staff and the way this store operates. read more

A month ago I took our 1998 Saturn, which had been overheating only on rare occasions (whenever we were stuck in stop and go traffic for over half an hour at a time), to Firestone so they could diagnose the problem. They did and convinced me that we needed a new thermostat, water pump and radiator flush. The job cost $555 which we didn't have handy so we took advantage of the credit line that they offered which allows us to pay for that over 6 months, interest free. That's nice EXCEPT, the car overheated again this week during a bad commute!!! The next day I took the car back to Firestone to let them know of the problem. After an hour diagnostic, they came back and told me that we need to replace the head gasket now, which would cost around $1,880!!! The car is barely worth a little more than that plus the $555 we already spent last month! Today, I took our car to an auto service company recommended on Angie's List (Elder Auto - fantastic company!!!). They determined that we do NOT need to replace the head gasket!!! The only problem is that the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor and the radiator cap need to be replaced. The whole job is costing me $155!!! The final bill actually came out less - $139! It's a few days later now and we've had a chance to test out the overheating problem - No overheating!!! read more

STAY AWAY!!! My boyfriend made an appointment 3 days in advance, to get studded snow tires for his 2017 Prius for 10am on a Sunday morning, intending to leave for a job at noon. He thought an "appointment" would mean that he would get in and out of there in time. We showed up at 930am to an empty store, with a couple of people waiting and were told that the place was short-staffed so we should go to breakfast and come back. We returned at 10am and sat for 4 hours total waiting for the one person who showed up to work, besides the manager, to put the tires on. At around 1.5 hours the manager came over to tell us that it was "too cold" and that the snow tires were less flexible so therefore difficult to put on. (a blatant lie, as studded snow tires are actually more flexible. This is information that we actually knew from previous experience). At 2 hours, my boyfriend noticed that the employee was working on other cars - and talked to with the manager about it. He then called Customer Service for help, one of a few calls made to Customer Service in the following few hours. Customer Service issued a Claim # and called the manager and suddenly a flurry of activity began around the Prius - it was put up on the lift, etc. At 3 hours they had a set of snow tires on the car - NOT STUDDED. The manager told my boyfriend that he had not ordered studded snow tires. We showed him the paperwork to prove our order. Another call to Customer Service revealed that they don't put studded snow tires on at that location! We had them put our old tires back on and at 4 hours we got out of there with NOTHING but a promise to receive a call-back from the District Manager within 48 hours - a call which never came. read more

Trash. This place WILL 100% MESS UP SOME ASPECT OF YOUR CAR. They will break windshield wipers, break gas caps, remove things and ask if you want any of that replaced. I've experienced it and seen them do it to strangers and relatives. I came in for a belt change and they broke my A/C, even ADMITTED to breaking my A/C, told me they would replace the belt for free if I paid for the total $1,100 repair they quoted me (for an A/C system!!! In an '05 Forester!!) when I tried to get in contact with the manager, Angelee, she totally was an a**hole, wouldn't help me in any way shape or form and just referred me to her boss, who was never at her desk, never could answer calls or get back a emails. When she FINALLY got back to me about setting up a third-party inspection so they could pay for the damage they did, it was nearly SEVEN MONTHS LATER. SEven MONTHs!!!! I had an appointment for 9 am yesterday to get my oil change, tires balanced and rotated and my car aligned (previously purchased lifetime alignment). Dropped my car off at 9 and the guy tells me they're running behind and asked if I can leave my car. I told him that's fine and that I just need my car before 5pm. Called them at 430 to see if my car is ready and the gal told me they were barely finishing up the oil change and that they recommend I get my car aligned. Well no kidding genius! That's why my car was there in the first place. So they had my car for 8 hours, didn't complete the services I requested, charged me $30 for the oil change and the real kicker is my service light is still one with -157 miles. Not confident they even changed the oil they charged me for. The manager this morning refunded my money and other than an offering me a free oil change if I used them again (hell no), she was completely indifferent. Poor service definitely comes from poor management, and this shop is no exception. Take your money and your time elsewhere. It's pretty hard to mess up simple services like oil change, alignment and tire rotation/balance. If they can't get that right, I wouldn't trust them with larger jobs. read more
