Scotty and Jason are fantastic. I was told by Mazda that I needed new brakes so I scheduled brake service at Arvada Auto Tech on the recommendation of another area local. I am so happy I did. Turns out I didn't need new brakes yet and their honesty saved me a ton of money. I'll be back for brakes when I actually need them and trust them to give me the honest status of my car. Been using these guys for 8 years and my dad for 4 years before that. Worked on my 96 dodge intrepid and now my 15 Kia Sorento. Jason and Scotty are amazing. Iv had a few problems with my KIA recently and every time Scotty calls me- he communicates the issues so I u sweet and and he's very fair with pricking compared to me taking it to the dealership. I needed a whole new engine due to a manufacturer issue. He went out of his way to pull the code and the recall notice form the web for me to take in with me. My one and only mechanic shop from now on...I was getting no where with a shop down the street that peddles false christianity and lies galore. I called Scott, told him my predicament and he got me in that day. I was dismayed to discover that many things the other shop told me were a problem were, in fact, fine or not nec to fix. Now I'm trying to find a car for my oldest daughter after being scammed by a seller back in March, so far they have seen 2 different cars and both of them looked like excellent cars. Sadly, they were not. Scott felt so bad for me that he gave me a break on the cost even though they still did the work of inspecting. Their prices are always fair and they've never tried to make me do unnec fixes. In fact, they've told me not to bother with some things until needed. I will never take my cars anywhere else. They charged me almost 2k to "fix" my Suburban. When I got it back it was running really rough and even stalled a couple of times. We looked under the hood & they left all kinds of empty part boxes & pieces of paper under the hood of my car. I took my car back to them & they said they didn't know what was wrong but wanted to start by giving it a tune up and throwing other parts ect at my car to the tune of another 2k. SERIOUSLY!!!! Autonation wanted to charge me $2000 for a replacement of a flex pipe, catalytic converter etc. Scotty and his crew, got me a flex pipe and weld it on and viola, I spent under $250 and my car does not sound like a Sherman tank any more. Watch out for the 60.00 alignment special, my car sat in the parking lot all day and I got charged a 50.00 service fee for looking at it!! They tried to tell me I needed 800.00 worth of front end work. Got 2 different shops to look at it and tell me all I needed was an alignment!! read more

Took my vehicles for basic diagnostic services here for about 1 full year. Bought a 2000 Dodge Stratus, and was told it had a rear main going bad. I let Scott do the work, but that when things turned south. Scott also up-sold me on several other seals in and around the transmission/engine interface. It made sense to get it done while it was all apart, but nothing got done properly. A week after getting the vehicle back, I noticed the transmission was leaking. He took it back and fixed it free of charge. While this sounds good, I am concerned that none of the other engine work was done properly. If I was Soccer-Mom USA, I would never have known my transmission seal was bad. Now, I have to check my engine seals constantly looking for new leaks. This has only been reinforced by the terrible experience my father had on a 1993 Ford F250 the same week. I also bought tires on this same bill, thinking it would be nice to just get it done. After all the headache of the other shoddy mechanic work, I have serious reservations about the work overall. If you need serious mechanic work done, go somewhere else (hint: His certification in the shop even names his place a Qick-Lube (sic) - He's only good at basic mechanic work!). If you need tires, go with one of the national brands that specializes in tires. read more

Scott is reasonable and honest, and it is always done right. We live close by, and they have given us rides to and from the shop. My parents came to visit, and my dad thought something was wrong with his van so we drove over to Scott's unannounced on a Saturday morning.
