Disappointing I've been to the Firestone on Lindsay Dr in Mesa store #349492 twice before. My visit on July 8th made me seriously reconsider going there again. I brought my car in for an AC check and add Freeon and they told me some housing around the AC unit was frayed or worn. I agreed to the replacement and left feeling good about it. But then, 36 hours later, my car started dangerously OVERHEATING. After a miserable ride home, where I had to blast the heat to try and cool the engine, I called Firestone and made an appointment for that Monday to recheck their work. After they looked at it, they told me there was no antifreeze in the reservoir. This was a shock because the report said the antifreeze was actually topped off and ready! Are you kidding me? THEN they told me there was a leak around the oil housing. What?! Are you serious? If there was a leak, they should have seen it the first time. So, I took my car to the dealership where I usually get my maintenance done. After they put it on the lift, they told me there WAS NO leak! Because of this dishonesty, I will NEVER take my car back to Firestone of Mesa on Lindsay Drive. Ladies, be careful. read more

Not only was Cody rude and dismissive, I was left stranded after I told him I didn't want one new tire that costed half a kidney. These people don't care if you're in a rush or in a bind, so long as they get their money...then they'll be nice and treat you like a "human". I took my vehicle in for AC diagnosis and they told me it was over $1300 to fix the AC alone plus they found many other things they said were wrong which were not. I got a second opinion for the AC and it cost me less than $300 to fix it was just an o ring that needs to be replaced and Firestone told me both lines and the condenser were leaking. I will never go back to them again as I found out the same thing with Midas. read more

If you're a working person with a busy schedule don't go here. Called Saturday and talked to Jose who made me an appointment for 11am Monday to get my car checked out. I also let him know that I would be waiting with the car because I have to go to work later. Great conversation and friendly person. Monday at 10:15 (45 mins before my appointment) comes around and I get a call from Bill calling about my appointment to cancel and that he would need it all day even though I explained to him I don't have time in my schedule to do repairs same day. I would have to schedule it to figure out a car while it's getting worked on. I asked if it would be possible for them to work with my work schedule and I could drop it off and pick it up by 2 one day and they would not. Ordered 4 new tires a day in advance. According to Firestone's website, all 4 tires were in stock. I advised Bill and Justin that I would be waiting for them to complete the install. Day of installation, Firestone gave me a completion time of 4:00-5:00pm after I dropped off the vehicle at 9:00am. Reason for the delay: The store did not have the proper valve stems for the tires which is an odd thing to not have when the store sells tires. Then I was told that I needed a front end alignment to so the tires would have a warranty. REALLY!!! read more

Went in to put two new tires on the back of my van. And how something so simple turned in to such an ordeal. Had a spare tire on because one was flat. They put the new tire on the spare rim that doesn't have a sensor. And trying to get this very simple thing fixed just went downhill. Couple of young guys working there lied to me just to try to get me out of there. Proceed with caution. read more

Always wondered about misdiagnosing. I was charged money to diagnose an ac problem. They then say it's o-rings and some other stuff like recharging the system ok. I pay close to $600, thinking hey they had my car all day it should be ready to go. The next day I take a trip thinking it's good to go, I drive an hour and a half in 85 degrees and no cooling it's miserable. I cancel trip to take it back and they say it's an evaporator issue. Not only did I get charged for a fee for diagnosing they may have gotten one part of the problem right but diagnosis isn't thorough. They quote me another thing $2100 after taking $600. My Volvo S90 T6 had a low tire pressure indicator. I didn't know where to go but in the past had great experiences at Firestone. They gave me a 5pm apt. Took my car upon arrival and worked to diagnose, fix and even find tires that would fit a a fraction of the MSP cost. They entire service staff was professional, understanding, and let me watch them work and explain what was going on. When I went to pay they said "don't worry about it you are good." I wish all auto shops went to this length to make customers feel like they are not just a walking bank and like people. This is now my favorite tire shop and general mechanic. Thank you Firestone. On 8/17/21, noticed my car was pulling to the right extremely badly. 1st thought is that the alignment is out so I scheduled an appointment with Firestone to get it fixed. Problem solved! Took the car dropped it off and Casey running the front was very accommodating and helpful. After a couple of hours get a call that the car was finished. Ensured me a technician took it for a spin and said it was riding great with a slight pull. But he didn't think it was anything to worry about. Went down paid what I owed pulled out and it was even worse than before. Took it back immediately and brought it to Casey's attention and questioned how the technician Cody couldn't have driven it to test and not noticed? He apologized and said they would look at it. Took about 30 minutes but he got me, said we found the issue. Took me out to the bay to say my outer tie rods were shot and that was making the car pull like that. Even twisted them to show the wear and how it was loose. That is why it couldn't be aligned and when we turned out of the parking lot it knocked it out of alignment again and nothing could be done. Unless I wanted to replace the tie rods of course. Keep following this is where it gets good....... I thought I'm getting a second opinion as the technicians had not filled me with much confidence. Took it to another shop, which I am extremely happy with. He looked at called and said nothing was wrong with the tie rods other than that one was turned. Like someone was twisting it with their hand or something? Casey was the one twisting it by the way. He said the issue is the driver's side tire has a split in it and that's why it was pulling to the right. The guy didn't even charge me to tell me the real issue!!! Took to a tire shop, not Firestone of course. Fixed the issue and life is grand. Score Card: 1. Firestone misses a split tire after doing an alignment and test drive. 2. Charge me $109 for the alignment that couldn't be completed because of the tie rods, which were fine after all. 3. Told me a tech drove it and said it worked, it didn't! If there were anything lower than one star, I would've selected it. If you care about the life of your car? Do not take it to this establishment there are way better places to go in Mesa. read more

Filed complaint with Firestone main office and BBB, no responds from Firestone which is their standard response from the reviews I've seen just ignore the customer. Both were extremely nice and understood the concern I had with my car. This is the 3rd time my 2011 Ford Focus has been here (oil change, a/c recharged and today my battery replaced). DO NOT COME HERE, NOT EVEN FOR AN OIL CHANGE!!!! Came in for an oil change on 11/22. Later that night while driving to the airport the BOTTOM of my CAR fell OFF!! LITERALLY the part of the car that they had to take off and put back on FELL OFF. I had to have the car towed. The next day Firestone told me it was not THEIR fault and I actually must have ran something over on the freeway suspicious much? My son took his car in for an oil change. The grease monkey there told him his control arm was hanging on by a thread and his tires were bad. They gave him an estimate of $1100. Took his car to a real mechanic and the only problem was a motor mount. We had just bought him new tires less than a year ago and he only drives to school and back. I've had a problem with this place before and had I been in town I would not have let him take his car there. STAY AWAY FROM FIRESTONE. Brought my work truck in for a Fleet oil change which in itself is usually a giant headache and frustrating. Bill set my appointment for the following day. I brought my vehicle in and Tyler was able to get it accepted through Leaseplan and up on the rack and worked on fairly quickly. From start to finish it was painless and just an extremely easy process. These guys definitely made the annoyingly frustrating process of Fleet service work seem like it was no big deal. I can't speak to the price as its all company vehicle stuff but I will say I heard both Bill and Tyler offer Firestone cards to every customer. Also heard Tyler say he will price match Discount Tires prices which makes things so much easier to bring your vehicle to one place to get everything fixed (except transmission stuff) and not have to take it several places for things. The first time I brought in my Pacifica for an oil change and tire rotation. I got it back and they did not top off any fluids. I had to go to a store to buy fluids to top off lol. The idiot I am, attempted to bring my Ram 2500 there for an oil change. I made an appointment and then got a call saying, "We don't have a lift to put your vehicle on, it's too big." Um it's a common truck and you're a tire shop. They told me to take it to the dealer lol. I took it to another local shop no problem. Avoid this place. read more

While washing my RZR on a Sunday one of my valve stems broke. Firestone was one of the few shops open on a Sunday and I needed to get my RZR loaded up for a trip. I brought the tire here . The tech, I didn't get his name, said they don't usually work on these tires/ rims and he wasn't sure he had a valve stem short enough . I just wanted to get air in the tire so I could get it loaded so I told him to do what he could. He did the work in about 5 mins and brought my tire back into me. I realized I left my wallet at home. He told me don't worry about it , it's just a valve stem! I really appreciate this service and they have gained my loyalty. I will come back when I need service and tire work . I've taken my car to this Firestone many times in the past, but I will no longer be bringing my car here. They're good for oil changes, but that's about it. I brought my car in for them to figure out why it's overheating. They "fixed" it, charged me $400 dollars and sent me on my way. About a week later it starts overheating again so I take it back. They say nothings wrong, fill the coolant, and send me on my way yet again. Another week goes by, it's overheating yet again, leaking coolant. I take it back for the third time and they said there were air bubbles causing the issues... I gave up after and took my car somewhere else, where they were able to find the leak and are currently fixing it. They've never been able to fix my squeaking brakes either, telling me "nothings wrong". read more

I went to Firestone on Saturday to get tires well and an alignment after I when I go to pick the car up they tell me the the can't do the alignment completely because they need to replace control arms on the rear of my vehicle so I he said I could bring it in the next day and he can do get that done so I went I came in I know I told him I couldn't do the next day be the following that would Be Tuesday so I get there on Tuesday the guy talk to isn't even there the actual manager is just being an ass hole and acting like to badd you brought your vehicle in I live 15 miles from the shop so I didn't go home and they scheduled it for the next day well after looking over their pricing on the control arms they're charging 3 and a 1/2 times the retail price of the parts so their prices are ridiculous and they do fuckings shoddy work now my tire pressure light is already on! read more

Went for an oil and filter change and regret it. Not only was it $100 bucks but they didn't put the filter back on properly or put the right drain plug back on so my car leaked oil bad. Ok I decided to give Firestone a second chance and boy was that a mistake! I went in for an AC check thinking I might have a leak. They told me I had no leak & were going to charge me $450(I had a few other add ons)I couldn't believe there was no leak so they double checked & low and behold they found a leak the SECOND time around. Nate called me saying it was going to be $500 to replace the Evaporator Core. I told him I needed time to think about it within 10 mins Nate called back telling me the services we agreed to BEFORE they found the leak were finished!! Why would I get the AC recharged if they found a leak AFTER the fact? I wouldn't! He totally tried to the advantage of me. He ended up taking out the refrigerant he shouldn't of put in in the first place. I just hope they didn't damage anything on my car out of vindictiveness. read more

We had a nail in our tire. My wife suggested the Firestone Complete Auto Care store near our house. I called to see if they would be able to help us out. On the phone they set up an appointment. When we arrived they did an excellent job of explaining the problem and the possibility of needing to replace the tire. We got lucky and they successfully patched the tire. Great service, excellent communication, and honesty about the possible outcomes. In the future we will use their services again!!! read more

They had my car since 12:00 in the afternoon with an appointment for an oil change and 4 tires. They then call me at 4:42 pm to tell me they're finally done. They closed at 5:00 and I live more than 20 minutes away. Really? It takes over 4 hours to change the oil and put on 4 tires? And even despite I had an appointment? I will not ever be coming back and suggest no one else does either. Follow-up: Car not ready the following morning and up on the rack. 1st reason given, not finished with alignment, and "when they called you did you answer directly or did they leave a voicemail?" Voicemail was my answer. "Well then they must have been calling to tell you it wasn't ready!" That wasn't true and I still had the voicemail left at 4:42 the previous day (they close at 5) stating "your car is ready." Then the story changed to they're finished just not done checking the alignment. Then, oh sorry (and 15 minutes later) it must have just been left on the rack overnight... it's ready. Then another 5-10 minutes they take my car off the rack and go through, finally, with the transaction and give me my keys... ridiculous! read more

Matt, the store Manager is the best ! I had a flat tire. The 2nd one in a week.. I came into his store angry and upset because I had just bought new tires at another tire shop. He also informed me that my spare was bad.. I was not a happy. Out of money and the store was about to close. Then Matt walks out and tells me that he can help and I could afford it! That turned my frown upside down! He found a tire that would work stayed after hours and repaired my car and turned my day from dark and gloomy to bright and sunny! I had a piece of metal letting air escape from one of my tires. I called Firestone and Matt informed me that I could drive directly from home to an empty bay at three pm. Fifty-two minutes later I was informed I needed two new tires. I declined the $500.00 suggestion, which was followed by a, "Want us to air you up and get you going?" I answered yes, thinking he had to be referring to checking the pressure of the installed spare. My truck was pulled-up front with the same leaky tire whistling air. I have no idea why the spare wasn't on (I didn't put it on because my back is tweaked, which I said when I first arrived), or an offer to put it on made; they were just going to send me on my way the same way I arrived. The employee that drove the truck to the front, nice as he was, gave me the keys and had me deal with starting new paperwork, instead of going back in and informing whomever was in charge that I didn't want to leave on a tire that was rapidly losing pressure, which would have been more efficient and customer friendly. Turns out there wasn't anybody there, out of several employees, that could drop my spare. This has not given any shop (in fifteen years of dropping and raising this twenty year-old truck) a problem, and only took me ten minutes once I got it back home. Note: 1/2 inch cold chisel inserted into 17mm socket, with a couple 'wobbly' 3/8 drive extensions attached to a 3/8 drive worked fast and easy. Firestone's suggestion..., remove license plate and drill a hole. Unfortunately, customer satisfaction takes a back seat to...,something else. Although this was only my second time having something done there, the chances were pretty high that I'd be a return customer if there was any effort to put a smile on my face. Both times I departed with oily hand smudges on my white paint. I did manage to crack a big smile (finally) by going to a different facility, which is named in another of my Yelp reviews. Speaking of different shops, I embarked on a research mission, for interest sake, to educate myself on local price variants. Firestone was consistently higher, by an average of $100.00. To me, this does not compute. Among other considerations, with a long history in the business, 'contacts' the mom & pop shops don't have, massive off-site storage facilities/distribution centers, and the ability to buy in bulk and/or wholesale, their prices for tires/balancing/mounting should (at the very least) be competitive. I was given the distinct impression, by way of attitude and expression, that if I wasn't in the position to accept the single option provided (What ever happened to selection? ), I was to be dismissed with haste. To the obvious point that I could easily discern the switch from 'May I help you?' mode to, 'Get this guy outta here.' mode from the customer service representative (not the mechanic). This occurred several weeks ago, and since it still sits in my mind as an unpleasant experience I figured it my responsibility to inform the community. This was not, despite the length, intended to be a rant. I'm not angry, I didn't get ripped-off or overtly treated with disrespect. Maybe this is solely indicative of this one remote shop, but their business is tires, in the course of fifty-something odd minutes, they couldn't even drop the spare. Possibly they could've/would've been more resourceful if I was breaking open my wallet, but without that incentive, I sadly reiterate, I departed as I arrived. read more

I come here strictly for alignments. Quick and easy service. The regular price is about the same everyone else, but they will price match local chains and you can find coupons about anywhere. My favorite thing about Firestone is they have amazing store hours and are open all weekend. Customer service is average but again. I only come for alignments. They've had a revolving door off front counter guys and techs over the last 2-3 years. Tough to have any kind of relationship with the employees. read more

If you're reading this review please take my advice and avoid all local Firestone locations. I purchased the lifetime alignment package a while back and never abused the system as I'm sure some do. Every time I tried to get an alignment they couldn't fit me in the schedule in a timely manner. if they could get me in the schedule they would make me wait hours and than come out and tell me they couldn't perform the service because of some simple thing. First time the tech (I believe his name was Cody shorter young caucasian kid) said it was an outer tie rod. He said I needed both at a cost of almost $600.( A quick call to a nearby auto shop and than my old mechanic's on the other side of the valley to confirm) told me they were trying to charge me 2 and a half times what it should cost. Got it repaired by old mechanic who said it didn't look bad but considering its an old car that gets used a lot it wouldn't be bad to have it done. So he replaced both but he doesn't do alignments. So I decided to go to the Guadalupe location hoping for better service. Went in waited 2 hours they come out and say " your vehicle is done but we couldn't complete the alignment because you have a seized lock nut on your inner tie rod and we can't do that job because it could create sparks in the garage bay. Took my vehicle to a local shop and they got the nut off in under a minute without using any special tools or anything that created sparks( I watched them do this). At this point I needed to get another set of tires because of the alignment being off. about 5 weeks or so later I needed another oil change ( I drive for a living) and wanted the alignment done as well. Brought my vehicle to the location in ahwatukee they did their inspection, oil change and supposedly the alignment. A couple weeks later my water pump goes out which they apparently missed in their detailed inspection and the company nearby where I had it done advised that I needed another alignment and also needed a rear shim to have it done correctly. I had spoken to Firestone management after the previous bad experiences and was told if I needed anything else to contact bill and bring it back to the Lindsay Mesa location and I was assured I would get better service. Made an appointment there was again put on the back burner and told at the end of the day after missing another half days work that they ordered the wrong part and wanted to hold the car overnight and finish the next day. I left very upset.. Avoid this company if you can, very bad prices and service and employee's who apparently are not trained to do alignments properly. read more

I have used this location several times, the work is decent and prices were reasonable. I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation, I was upsold on replacing my interior and engine air filters. I was charged over $110 for the air filters. One of them was over $50. I looked up the price on the web, the part they used cost $20. I feel like they took advantage of the trust I gave them over the last 2 years not to have to check every little detail to avoid being ripped off. Not going back, I can get ripped off anywhere, no need to drive to FIrestone for that privilege. The car was ready on time though. read more

And when I called to complain I get a guy that puts me on hold and then hangs up And then I call back and he became the manager within seconds . Terrible customer service here. Twice I tried to get them to fix a Firestone tire that had a screw in it. Showed up 1.5 hours before close and they said come back tomorrow. Tried again today and they said I had to leave the car with them ALL day, just to patch a tire. They will only treat you well if you are dropping 1200 on new tires or service, both of which I have done in past but never will again with them. read more

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!! I used to trust these people and was confident they were being honest with me but they were not. My car just had to get a $1090 repair from my breaks and battery being ruined after I repeatedly asked them to replace both. Each time they said I had more time left. Now I have to replace all my breaks and battery when I could've just replaced my break pads.
