So my dad went to Livingston Firestone with some concerns about the battery in his car. He had been advised by another company "advance motor parts" to visit firestone to get some bolt on his car battery tightened since it wasn't and could be causing his car battery to lose connection. They installed a new battery for him and asked him to visit firestone to complete the process since they didnot service that. My dad visited Livingston Firestone and tried to explain to the front desk what was done by advance motor larts and what he had been told needed to be done further. They refused to let him explain and said that their mechanic will examine the car and determine next steps. They also stated that once he figures out what needs to be done the mechanic will let the front desk know and they will give my dad details and an estimate for the work. After waiting for 1.5 hrs, the front desk called my dad over and said here is your invoice and we completed the work and you have a $92 payment that needs to be made. No one gave him an estimate, no one told him what work was going to be done. Nothing. My dad argued and said I need to see what you are billing me for. They said lets talk to the mechanic. The invoice read that a battery cable was replaced and a bolt was replaced and tightened, upon asking the mechanic he said that he didnot replace any cable and that he simply tightened the bolt. My dad was furious at this point so the store manager said that he will give him a 'store discount', and he brought the invoice down to $21, and stated 3.99 was for the bolt and rest was labor charge. My dad was frustrated and had already spent over 2 hrs so he paid the money and left. He came home and told me the whole ordeal. So I called Livingston Firestone and asked them to send me a clean invoice that shows exactly what he had been billed for. They sent me an invoice which said "a battery cable had not been replaced" so client was charged $0. Which made no sense. So I called again and said can you generate a reciept which reflects the work and the charges correctly. They said we can only generate such bills when you make another payment. So essentially come make another payment of $21 and we will generate a clean invoice for you. I was really mad by now and asked if they could send me a written note on livingston firestone papers with the exact work done if not an invoice/reciept. They finally sent me another document which said nothing new except that the client was charged $21. I would not go to this location again. The service was terrible read more

DO NOT RECOMENT THIS PLACE. I had one of the most unpleasant and unprofessional experiences. After having my vehicle serviced at this location, I discovered issues that did not exist prior to bringing my car in. I returned to the store to address the matter and spoke with the front desk representative named Tom. During this conversation, Tom became verbally aggressive, raised his voice, used inappropriate and profane language, and ultimately told me to leave and never return. The situation escalated further, resulting in police involvement and the filing of an official report. In addition, Tom forcefully slammed the door against my leg, causing me physical pain and ongoing discomfort. This experience was deeply upsetting and far below the standard of professionalism I expected from Firestone. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. they almost scammed me and my car wouldn't start when I came for a check light engine repair.

Been here twice. First time for tire balance, I have their lifetime tire alignment and they performed alignment fairly quick, they do provide pre and post alignment specs which is great for reference. Visited time for a flat repair, where they accommodated me in their busy schedule. Charged a nominal flat fee for flat tire fix and did a great job. Overall my experience has been great at this place. read more

They almost got me with hidden fees. They wanted to charge me more then what sticker price says. Almost 5 k for preparation fees.

This shop is horrific especially Tim. Do not bring your car there especially if recommended by your insurance company. Use your own mechanic. They will always have the insurance best interest and will lie to save them money. Again! Tim is awful, he does that! Do not trust him!! read more

I had a horrible experience\. I went in for an oil change, wheel alignment, and paid for a full inspection because I wanted a noise diagnosed from the front passenger side of my vehicle\. I clearly explained that the noise only happens when I hit a bump, not when the vehicle is sitting still or when the engine is revved\. After the inspection, I was told the issue was no oil in the engine, which didn't make sense based on the symptoms I described\. When I picked up the vehicle, the same noise was still there\. I returned immediately, but the service advisor continued to insist the engine was the problem\. I even revved the engine while parked, and there was no noise at all\. Since the noise only happens over bumps, it seems more likely to be a suspension or steering issue\. I paid for a full inspection expecting a proper diagnosis, but my concern was dismissed and I left with the same unresolved issue\. read more

Tim from this location should be fired. I went in to have a patch put in my tire and when the started to remove the tire for a screw in the middle of the tire tread. The machine used to remove the tire punctured the side wall. I had a professional look at it. They said take pictures and report their bad business practices. When they wanted to charge me over $300 for a new tire I told them to put the wheel back on and I'll go to a reputable place. After I said that they gave me back the car with my spare tire. Tim refused to put air in it and told me to leave. Bait and switch is the practice used. They violated GBL349 and GBL350. Do not Go there. They lie and cheat you. Especially Tim. read more

I prefer to have my wheel/tire work done by a wheel/tire store rather than the dealer because they have much more experience. That said, my recent experience at Firestone was really quite good. Used them to install TPMS, mount and road force balance new rims for my G Wagon. Work was done promptly, professionally and flawlessly all at a cost that I found reasonable. I am massively OCD when it comes to my vehicles so if I'm recommending someone they truly are exceptional. Kudos. read more

I called my local Firestone, store number 013862, who has done work for me for years. i called to ask about a warranty on an alternator I had them replaced, specially since the part they replaced had already failed once since they had done the original work. My car just died on the highway the day before and to think the Manager of the store could think it's ok to speak to customers like this is wrong. I don't even know what the problem is yet, The manager is unstable and should not be speaking with customers. With the competition in the market and the need / want to support local business, I will no longer give you my business. #Firestone #Firestonecustomerservice read more

STAY AWAY. If you're elderly, you are going to get ripped off. Actually, you're going to get ripped off regardless since their prices are outrageous. Lent my relatively new car to my mother for a week. Before returning it to me, she brought the car here to get the car checked out. Bad move. The guys here pushed tons of unnecessary services onto the car. If it was possible, they did it. Brake fluids, brakes, cabin air filter, engine air filter, fuel cleaning, etc. They fleeced her badly. Charged her $150 for fuel system cleaning. This is a popular scam. You can look it up online. They pour in a $5 bottle of addictive to the gas. Charged $70 for an air filter! The air filter costs about $9 and takes about 5 minutes to replace in the glove compartment. These guys must be getting rich ripping people off. I mean this seriously. I don't know how they sleep at night. UPDATE: I was shocked. After a year, I just changed the cabin air filter myself and looked at the filter Firestone had installed previously. The thing was garbage! It's something you would get at a dollar store. Maybe a pack of 20 for $10. It was paper thin and flimsy. If you're going to charge $70 for the cabin filter, at least use a filter that's a few bucks! read more

If I can give 0 stars it would be that low and even in negatives! This place tells you that your appointment is at a certain time and when you drop your car off it will take "90 minutes". It's been 2 hours and I called and they said they had given my appointment time to someone else and now they have several other cars to accommodate before mine. The manager then yelled at me on the phone and told me that he's not nascar and can't work on cars fast. Then why promise a 90 minute turn around?? read more

7/1 The Better Business Bureau should be contacting you tomorrow as well. Look at the lame response they provide to all reviews. It's essentially the same stupid response in every one. Out of any of these negative reviews, given they often suggest criminal intent, do you really think any of these people ever want to deal with you again, or give a horse's ass about speaking to you? This car is going to the Mercedes mechanic tomorrow to tell me if you put the acrylic breaks at $650 on. Or if they are crap markups. Believe me - you're going to find out quickly - from my attorney. To think you can get away with not providing detailed receipts of work you do is not even legal Think again. What's really going on here?! Update -6/30 lawyer said I can void purchase if they don't provide break details. Calling cc tmrw to void transaction. Wrong guy to dupe. 6/28/24 Brought my 450 gls in for acrylic breaks. $650. Asked for a receipt. Westley said he'd email it. Followed up the next day. No receipt. The third day followed up again. If you plan on selling a car and/or you keep meticulous receipts for an $85k car (go figure) you require detailed receipt for the type of breaks. Managers finally emails the receipt w no info on the breaks (and also says he emailed twice which I have no record of and I doubt he does either).. It just says breaks and break pads. After being ghosted I reached out to customer service with a very frustrated and direct email and they never even write back. They didn't even bother to respond. I've reached out to BBB and consumer protection. One begins to wonder why they are so against providing a detailed receipt after no less than four requests. What kind of breaks did I but? Will update this until I get my GD detailed receipt. And taking it to another on Tuesday to tell me what breaks I bought. Meinke will be responding to the SEVERAL reviews I'm going to write and to the BBB and consumer protection for starters. If I told my client and I work for a bank, and that I bought something but failed to provide a detailed receipt, and after four requests, I'd be fired. Again will update. Unacceptable and they are going to be very unhappy with t multiple reviews and online complaints unless it's remedied immediately. Mark my words. Dismal and dumb situation to be spending hours of my time on. read more

I took my car to this establishment to get a new tire on my car as my tire blew out in a pot hole. I ordered the tire, paid in full and was told to come in the next day to have it placed. I came after work waited for 45 min and job was done. Got in my car drove home(1mile away) being very careful of anymore pot holes. Parked my car in driveway and did not move it until the next morning at 530 am when I again had to leave for work. Well the same tire flat again!!!! Husband drives me to work. I then called Firestone when they opened and possibly I came across accusatory.... Totally substantiated! Manager gaslights me and proceeds to yell at me ! I hung up phone went to paneks after work who stated that the tire was "put on half ass and that they never cleaned out the valve and that is why it didn't hold air! No charge from paneks! I took my Audi in to replace a faulty rear wheel bearing. The car was only about 10k miles out of warranty and the dealer wanted to charge me $1400. Firestone did the job and charged $500. Worst and rudest front desk and mangers I have met in my entire life. I really felt the manager was preparing to punch me in the face at certain point. Just left here about 5 mins ago and I'm fuming, I had to pull over to write this as I promised the scammer who tried to rip me off more than I already was ripped off. I come in yesterday to see about my brakes since I heard a little squeaking noise, they checked it and told me everything was good, and sent me on my merry way. I probably drove about 7 mins to the Livingston mall and 3 hours later when I come out the car stalls, tries starting again battery dead. I call these guys and they tell me to bring the car in, I say yea that would be fine if the car could drive there, hello!! the battery is dead. Anyway, 3 jump starts and a tow truck later I get it there, all of a sudden now I need an alternator. Then this guy quoted me a price tries to push a battery on me to hike the price up even more and I declined the battery since they were more than capable to charge it up since it was about a year old and with a new alternator it should charge it. I return today he gives me a price that was nowhere near what he quoted me I said that is not what I agreed he's like oh wait that is with tax I say you quoted me the price with the tax, I say even if that was the price with tax there is no way the tax would take it that high. He realized the error and fixed the taxes, where does he think we are California smh but I was still charged more than the original quote. Just don't go here they are shady. read more

I just had my vehicle serviced at Firestone and again I am very happy with their work. I was a little pressed for time and the team accommodated me and got the work done fast! The timeframe to get the work done was exactly as they quoted me. They are very courteous and always go out of their way to do a great job at this shop! I also want to mention that I observed a belligerent customer getting loud with the Service Manager of the location. The customer in this case was not "right" and he was very rude to the manager to the point where it seemed the customer was getting aggressive! I was VERY impressed to see the Manager stayed calm, respectful and listened to that customers complaints never turning negative himself and was polite!! He even tried to suggest ways to accommodate the customer!! That manager should get a raise!! read more

I stopped by this firestone as it's close to where I was going to have lunch. I made an appointment for an oil change online and called a few hours before my appointment to confirm. What started out as a negative experience turned into a great experience at this location. Took the car for a patch on a tire and explained the situation to the tech. Left the car and called us 3 hours later and explained why they could not fix and now needed a new tire due to a company policy. Very frustrating. Eventually, the manager, Joe got on the phone and politely explained the situation and agreed to work with us on the costs. We agreed and we went to pick up the car. Upon arrival, met with Joe who covered the full costs due to the incorrect information that we were given. Left there feeling like a valued customer and dealt with a person that took pride in making sure a customer left satisfied. Will definitely use going forward. Thanks! read more

4 hours ago Awful experience. I made an appointment for a free brake inspection as advertised on their website, got there 5 minutes late at 3:20 p.m. because I was coming from work. The first older gentleman, was welcoming and nice, took my keys and I sat down patiently. Long story short, I sat there until 4:35 with my car still sitting in their lot waiting for the brake inspection. During my time while sitting there, no one ever assured me as to how much longer I would have to wait. I finally got up, approached the counter, addressed the guy as "Sir", nicely asked the clerk, a younger tall white guy with a brunette hair cut and dark eyes (Mark?) seemed very smug and standoffish as I asked for the return of my car keys. He Handed me the keys as he looked away hurriedly to handle another task, if my hands did not meet his hands right that second, they would have fell to the floor. Not even an insincere apology from him, he did not even look me in my eyes. Very weird energy from him. He looked at me as if I was a bother. I don't throw this word around loosley, I'm Black; perhaps he was not fond of my color..I dunno? I'm very respectful to everybody, so his attitude was off putting. (Shrug) As I was sitting there waiting prior to leaving, He seemed nicer and gracious to other customers who happened to be White. But I will never be returning here again. read more

After 45 minutes of waiting I look outside to see progress and realize they haven't even put my car in to get anything done. I asked how long it will take because I'm 9 months pregnant and I get uncomfortable and I was told it couldn't be seen for another hour. Why make an appointment if they wanted me to wait 2 hours for an oil change? I decided to just get my car keys back and leave. They could have at least warned me about the wait time when I got there considering I made an appointment and clearly was very pregnant. Will not be going back to that location. read more
