Nick was fantastic…read more I showed interest in one of his used cars that he was selling and he immediately responded. He even ran around the day prior to me meeting him to make sure the cars title was up to date. I had to drive about an hour away to get to him, but it was absolutely worth it. Nick left the car on the lift specifically so I could take a look under the car and he gladly popped the hood. He was very courteous and understanding. He disclosed anything and everything - I didn't have to question his honesty at all. He is very upfront. He allowed for me to take a test drive around the area and during the test drive he explained all of the details of the car - he also disclosed all of the improvements he had done to the car in the last month to get it ready to be sold. He provided a list as well and documentation as proof. I accepted the offer and Nick was patient enough to wait for me to go and grab a check from the bank. When I came back we had a brief talk about how to transfer the car, get a new registration and plates. This was the smoothest experience I have ever had when it comes to buying a car. Nick makes it simple, and easy. He did this all on his day off - I am so thankful to him. Nick just got a customer. Anytime I have an issue with my car, I will be going to Nick.

Their website is very confusing because it seems like they focus mostly on trucks, but then there are some small sections that say they do specialize on German cars too. I called them about an issue that I had and they told me that they could handle it. The day that I set up for my car to be taken there, they told me that they couldn't handle what I needed.

My husband has been bringing his cars to this shop In West Orange for decades at this point and trusts them wholeheartedly to do repairs and perform maintenance. The other day, he told me that he goes here because they have a reputation of being honest and doing quality work at fair prices. I really rely on the car for work, so having the car in good shape is important. I want to feel confident and safe while driving the car each day and going out on the road. So I'll bring our car here for regular oil and filter changes. Recently, I brought the car over to the garage for a couple of jobs to be completed: rear brake pad and rotor service, front suspension ball joint and valve cover gasket replacements, and a wheel alignment. Very happy with the work!

Finding a good, honest, and reliable mechanic is the Holy Grail for any car owner. Derrick…read moresucceeded where two other mechanics across town had failed. Not only was the diagnosis absolutely correct, but it was explained in a way that actually made sense without talking down to me. Derrick and his team have been my mechanics since I moved to West Orange in 2018, and at this point I trust them completely with my cars. They're straight shooters. If something can wait, they'll tell you. If something needs attention now, they'll show you why. No pressure, no mystery charges, no unnecessary parts swapping. From a technical standpoint, their diagnostics have been consistently spot-on. They don't just throw parts at a problem hoping something sticks; they take the time to trace the root cause, whether it's electrical, drivetrain, or something more subtle that other shops miss. The work is done right the first time, and I've never had to come back for the same issue. Pricing is fair, turnaround times are realistic, and communication is excellent. They treat you like a long-term customer, not a one-time invoice. Shops like this are rare, and if you're looking for a place you can stick with for years, this is it. I recommend them without hesitation.

Mavis Discount Tire - Left spare in trunk

My experience was quite positive. I used them to swap and put on my snow tires on my Mercedes, and…read morein doing so they discovered a crack in my left front wheel (which I knew it had a small leak). They sent it out for welding, and it was quite inexpensive. I also needed new pads and rotors, and as my model has the AMG sport suspension the rotors are vented and cross drilled, and both the rotors and calipers are bigger than the regular ones-and more expensive. They wrote up the quote for both genuine and pattern parts, I went with pattern. The car now can put its nose right on the pavement! They also found coupons to drop the price too. The only reason I didn't go 5 stars is the center cap on the repaired wheel was lost in transit, and it took several phone calls to get the replacement managed. But it's clean, spacious waiting room, spotless rest room, and there is a nearby Panera to kill time at-don't try and cross Morris Avenue to go to Dunkin Donuts-you might not make it!

Around 37psi in the front and 28psi in the back, which are completely wrong considering that on the side of the door it says 35psi front and 40psi back. I talked with a mechanic there and he said to come back another day because the mechanic that installed my tires wasn't there. I told him I had to take a flight and he said it wasn't a problem and i could have come back a later day. 2nd: The vin number said the tires are staggered but i showed the mechanic that my rims and old tires weren't staggered, and he agreed with me and made me buy all 4 new tires the same size. Problem: When I called back complaining about my back left tire being COMPLETELY FLAT he said first that it was because my tires were staggered (he agreed with me that they weren't before the tire change) and then that my rim was bent. I requested the time of exit of the vehicle from the shop and the time of re-entry of the mechanic into the shop so to exclude any joy ride. They tried to change subject multiple times and ultimately told me that they wouldn't have provided it to me. Legal actions have been started to resolve this issue and i will update my review as soon as the verdict comes out. PS: from their responses, I felt like i wasn't the first and only one with this problem, so, after talking with friends that already brought their cars there and further research online, I found out I'm not the only one that had this issue with this particular Malvis store. This store has a long history of joy rides in faster cars so DO NOT BRING YOUR CARS HERE.

We tend to run our cars into the ground, and we're able to do so safely and economically because of Brookside. Guy is excellent at providing options that make sense, and he shoots straight - no wasteful work or unnecessary repairs here. We've now taken about eight different cars - ours, relatives' - there, and the service remains fair and high quality.

Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience…read more We were referred to this shop because it had the specialized equipment needed to mount a tire on a 24-inch rim. Guy told us the service would cost $50 and take about 90 minutes. Because we were on a time constraint, I politely offered $100 if the work could be expedited. He took offense, called the offer insulting, said he would not do the job even for $200, and told us to leave. We were not rude or disrespectful, and I explained that the offer was made in good faith, but he refused to reconsider. While he had every right to decline expedited service, the hostile response and refusal to serve us left me feeling unwelcome and unfairly judged. I cannot say what motivated his reaction, but I questioned whether our appearance played a role. The issue was not that the shop could not accommodate our requested timeline; it was the hostile way the request was handled and the decision to refuse service altogether. Because we were denied the opportunity to receive the quoted tire-mounting service and were treated disrespectfully when we asked about expediting it, I cannot recommend this establishment.
