I went in to change the tires on my BMW m240i from 2017. 1st: I took the car back and all 4 tires' pressure was off. Around 37psi in the front and 28psi in the back, which are completely wrong considering that on the side of the door it says 35psi front and 40psi back. I talked with a mechanic there and he said to come back another day because the mechanic that installed my tires wasn't there. I told him I had to take a flight and he said it wasn't a problem and i could have come back a later day. 2nd: The vin number said the tires are staggered but i showed the mechanic that my rims and old tires weren't staggered, and he agreed with me and made me buy all 4 new tires the same size. Problem: When I called back complaining about my back left tire being COMPLETELY FLAT he said first that it was because my tires were staggered (he agreed with me that they weren't before the tire change) and then that my rim was bent. I requested the time of exit of the vehicle from the shop and the time of re-entry of the mechanic into the shop so to exclude any joy ride. They tried to change subject multiple times and ultimately told me that they wouldn't have provided it to me. Legal actions have been started to resolve this issue and i will update my review as soon as the verdict comes out. PS: from their responses, I felt like i wasn't the first and only one with this problem, so, after talking with friends that already brought their cars there and further research online, I found out I'm not the only one that had this issue with this particular Malvis store. This store has a long history of joy rides in faster cars so DO NOT BRING YOUR CARS HERE. read more

Stooped here to get my tire checked out guys seemed like they were trying to be helpful and friendly but they didn't know much about the business. They couldn't really explain to me about my car. The tires were also not really a deal as it's cheaper at firestone and on the Goodyear website. They then tried saying it would cost almost $800 for struts when I went and got them done at firestone for $400. My experience was quite positive. I used them to swap and put on my snow tires on my Mercedes, and in doing so they discovered a crack in my left front wheel (which I knew it had a small leak). They sent it out for welding, and it was quite inexpensive. I also needed new pads and rotors, and as my model has the AMG sport suspension the rotors are vented and cross drilled, and both the rotors and calipers are bigger than the regular ones-and more expensive. They wrote up the quote for both genuine and pattern parts, I went with pattern. The car now can put its nose right on the pavement! They also found coupons to drop the price too. The only reason I didn't go 5 stars is the center cap on the repaired wheel was lost in transit, and it took several phone calls to get the replacement managed. But it's clean, spacious waiting room, spotless rest room, and there is a nearby Panera to kill time at-don't try and cross Morris Avenue to go to Dunkin Donuts-you might not make it! read more

Poorly ran business! Visited Mavis discount tire in person on Thursday and was told that that the tires I wanted weren't in stock and was informed that delivery will come in on Monday. So I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday 10am. Took off of work and showed up at 10am sharp and waited around for an 1 hour and 35 minutes for them to tell me that they don't have my tires, the ones that were ordered the week prior. But these scandalous folks in there tried to upsell me $2000 dollars worth of unnecessary services for all the brakes, rotors, tires, alignment, gas struts, after I denied their unreasonable request. They refused to honor their online coupons. They didn't even show me a slight of evidence to any of the so called problems. Provided me no photos, or diagnostics to prove their case for $2000. We regularly buy tires here - they are friendly, reliable, and the price is a lot better than at the dealerships. They also fully serviced our Infiniti QX60 SUV - brakes etc. - earlier this year. I was so happy when I recently took it to the Infiniti dealership for service (oil change light was on) and no extra service issues were found in the multi-point inspection - all "green"! Great job by Mavis and saved me a lot of $ vs service at the dealer. I recently took my son's car to Mavis because the tire pressure light was on and they turned the light off for us and didn't find anything else wrong - no charge. So great. Firestone across the street estimated hours for a slow leak tire repair. I crossed the street and Mavis took my car in a few minutes after registration into their system. The repair seemed like it went well until the next day. After driving 60 miles on it, the same exact issue reoccured. I called, they tried explaining to me that I need a new tire. I'm not an idiot and understand that the tire had lots of treadlife remaining and asked them.... "is there nothing else you can do?" Told him that my intentions would be to go to my mechanic and get it fixed then seek reimbursement. They suggested that I bring in the car to look at it again. The last two time I've come to Mavis they have either done work and tried to charge me for it when it was not authorized or tried the hard sell of you need a service or flushing without realizing that I know exactly when the last one was done. Do not trust what they say about what your car needs! I went there for a tire. I got, what I verified was a good deal. After telling them that because of that deal I would come back for the other tire, they felt that I trusted them and they could tell me whatever they wanted. They told me that my suspension, struts, and shocks were shot and gave me an estimate for $1700, which of course I didn't have at the time. They asked that I write my review right then, so he got 5 stars because of the good tire deal. Just got four new tires on my car and if you don't go in first thing in the AM when they open, you will be there all day. Anyways, I took my four old tires with me to get sent in for warranty/inspection and Mavis charged me a fee to recycle my old four tires... I took my tires. So why did I get charged 10 bucks for that? They also tried telling me many other things that are "wrong/broken" with my car.... if you aren't up on your car/mechanic game, then you will get ripped off. Just be aware... overall it wasn't a horrible experience but I didn't like the charge to recycle my old tires which I caught on the receipt when I got home of course and 2. I have had my tires serviced there before and when I pulled in, they immediately identified that this was not going to be a patch job. I needed to replace the tire which I knew they would have to order (for reference I have a Mercedes SUV so big tire!). The tire was there in less than 24hrs, I showed up at 8am and I was out of there with a new tire, balance of all 4 tires and an alignment all before 9:30am and the big expected ice storm.
