. I went in to get an oil change and this location no matter who I interact with at this location. They're always very upbeat and accommodating. I was waiting for my car and the manager and Dan came out and asked me if I was here for a top off or an oil change and I said an oil change and they honestly told me that I had 60% oil life remaining and that I really didn't need an oil change unless I wanted one. Nowadays, they're aren't too many places you can go where they're totally honest with you. They didn't have to tell me that they could've just changed my oil I am very impressed with this location and will continue to go there and Dan is always pleasant and accommodating. I've been coming here for years for my oil changes. I've tried other Jiffy Lube locations, but this one is the best in the area. Corporate sends out discount coupons, but even if you don't present one, here they will give you a discount if you ask. There was a slight glitch in my service this time. The gasket in my oil pan drain plug must have been worn out, because it was dripping oil for a few days after I left. I went back, and the manager couldn't stop apologizing. He redid the entire oil service, not only furnishing a new drain plug, but even a new oil filter which had been replaced just days earlier. He got me in and out very quickly, and couldn't have been more apologetic or nicer. I will continue to be a customer at this Jiffy Lube and recommend. read more

Scammers. Went here to get an oil change they said that I desperately need new front brakes and that I should come back to get them asap. Went to two other car shops and they said that my front and back brakes are good and there is no issue. They just wanted me to spend an extra $500 when I just went for an oil change which was $100 (ridiculous, other places are $65) and new filters, which I didn't need either. The focus of my review will be on one of your service personnel named Dan. (I see his name mentioned in other reviews in a very positive way.) You should be commended for having such a competent, courteous man working for you. When I arrive at your service station, I always look for him because I know I'll be treated politely and honestly. I generally go to Jiffy Lube for oil changes, filters, batteries, lights, and windshield wipers. Dan also gives recommendations for further service, always giving an explanation as to why it should be done. The other day I overheard him explaining to a customer what had just been done to her vehicle. He began on a positive note about the general overall condition of her car - relaxing her - and then he explained simply and directly the service he had provided. read more

So much to appreciate about this location. They explain in detail what you need, but also what you don't need, so you don't feel like they're just piling services on. They'll let you know if you've got a few thousand miles to go until you need to address something. But they're also a super friendly team who clearly enjoy working together. I usually go to a different location but came here because it was near another appointment, and another customer mentioned to me they've been coming here for years because it's always a great experience. I had a great experience with the folks working tonight at Jiffy Lube. They were very accommodating and really made me feel taken care of as a customer. There was an issue with the credit card machine and they even offered to cover my ATM fee. As a woman going in for car services, a lot of places will try to talk down to you or throw on a lot of extras if you don't know much about cars. Although I needed a few things repaired, the guys showed me everything and walked through the process. I would definitely go back here in a heartbeat. read more

This was my first time at this Jiffy Lube. They opened up and took customers before their start time. The manager was very thorough with all of the customers he interacted with. Now I did get my air filters replaced there only because I was gonna do it myself but having them install it would've only been like $10 more than the actual part I was gonna buy - but it's like ... My better half said that Jiffy Lube does Freon....and it did! I took my car in and from the time I pulled into the shop and left, no more than 20 minutes had passed. I was just here this week after a minor snow/ice storm and there was numerous people in front of me but they got me in and out quickly. Great location. I was there for an oil change on Mon, Feb 26. 5 people worked on my car simultaneously. When I left, the service engine light came on. I called the next day and they knew when I pulled in the next night. The employees tried their best but couldn't figure it out. Matt, the manager, was apologetic and assured me it would be taken care of. Great communication between staff! After a few attempts, Mike found the culprit. I had a torn hose near the air filter. He explained the issue and fixed it with electric tape. He noted that my car was moving sluggish when he pulled it around to the bay, which I realized as being the case. Mike also said I would notice a difference in engine performance. He wasn't kidding. Used an oil change coupon. All staff are friendly. Will definitely be back. read more

My information may be dated, and maybe Jiffy Lube in Cranford may have improved as ntoed by the review in March. I had a poor interaction with them several years ago. Upon my arrival, they indicated that I needed several services, which I declined. In one case, I had just flushed my anti-freeze at another garage, yet I was told tthat I needed it. When I indicated that I had just had it done and wanted details in the event that the other garage did not do the work, they backtracked. I found that their recommendation was based on mileage and not actually what my car needed. Another recommendation was to replace the serpentine belt, which would cost several hundred dollars. I declined and later took it to the garage I use for larger repairs, and they indicated that my car didn't have a serpentine belt (a prior car did have one, which is why I thought the advice made sense). My real issue came with the oil change. This went fine, for the regular cost and I went on my way. About a 4-5 days later, I noticed a large oil spot on my driveway. I took ti to my garage who indicated that there was a problem with the oil plug. They tried to fix it, but determined that with the cross threading when it was put in following the oil change, it could not be repaired. The fix was a new oil pan and cost $400. They obtained the part and fixed it . I wrote Jiffy Lube's regional contact (after calling the store) and told him of the problem. I received a call about a week later. First, the regional manager denied that the problem was their fault. When I told them that it could not be anyone else's fault, he then indicated that they should have had a chance to fix it first. I ndicated that the car was leaking oil, so I took it to a trusted mechanic and that I would not have wanted them to fix it since they are not in the business of repairs. The response that I recevied was that they would not pay all or part of my repair bill, but offered to send me COUPONS for future oil changes. I refused, as the money saved with the coupons woudl not cover any future bills from their incorrect work. Since that time, I have revfused to go to Jiffy Lube. I have also shared my story with friends and neighbors in town and convinced them not to use this store. By my account, they have lost several thousand dollars in revenue ($30 per oil change, 4 times a year, for approximately 10 cars over 3 years and this is conservative). As I had opened, I hope they have gotten their act together, as well as recognized that everyone is not perfect and they should stand by their work and pay to fix if they make a mistake In the meantime, I ask that you use caution when getting your oil or other fluids changed here. read more

I tend to use Jiffy Lube for the "easy" stuff - oil changes, fluid checks -- and a counterpoint to the dealership garage to keep them honest. The Cranford Jiffy Lube guys have consistently given me good service and an overall positive customer experience. Yes, if you go in for an oil change, they'll try for the upsell, but all of the chain auto repair places will do that -- it's part of the process. I've never felt pressured to buy a service there; they mention the add-ons as recommendations and then drop it quickly if you say no. No scare tactics. What really impressed me was the time I went in with what I thought was a burned-out front headlamp bulb. The techs looked at it right away, moved the bulb around a bit in the seating and got it lit again. They charged me absolutely nothing, and they didn't try to sell me any other services, which I found really surprising. When the bulb finally gave out for good a couple of months later, they replaced it quickly at a fair price. As for the usual oil changes, fluid checks, etc., they can be a little pricy, but with coupons they fall right into line, and they'll also top off your fluids between changes, too. As with everything else mechanical, know the manufacturer's recommendations and what your car is "due for" before you go in, and you'll be fine. read more

I usually love coming to this location because I always felt like they were honest. However, when I went in on July 20, 2021, I had a completely different experience. The person who looked at my car asked me to come out and then was overwhelmed with things that I apparently needed for my car. Because I trusted this location in the past, I agreed to some of their concerns that racked me up a bill of close to $400. When I was able to contact my mechanic about it, he told me that I did not need any of the extra services the technician had made to seem so pertinent. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this Jiffy Lube ever again. I would also advise others to not go either. Find another place that is trustworthy because this place is not!!!! read more

I went in today and had already bought a light for my headlight. They were so great about answering questions I had and even installed it for me.
