Called Firestone at 3.30PM inquiring about a flat repair for my rental car. Spoke to Vince who was very helpful and accommodating; told me service center open til 7.00PM(wow I am used to 5.00PM where I come from) but try to bring in vehicle by 5.30PM. Arrived at store 4.45PM; the place was swamped with customers and phone calls. Vince the only one at the counter, however, he tried to help everybody. Took my rental car in immediately, however, we discovered the tire was unrepairable due to the location of the nail and that a approval from the rental car company would be needed. At this point it was after 5.00PM and Vince recommended to bring the vehicle back in the morning as we would have to wait for the approval anyway. He filled up the tire with extra air; it was a small leak so it was ok to drive the car. In the morning arrived 7.30AM dealt with Charles, who was just as helpful as Vince. He took all the vehicle info and submitted the approval request to the rental car company. He recommended not to wait as it might take a while and I had to be at work and the car was drivable. I returned at 4.45PM again and dealt with Vince again. The approval had been received and he changed the tire and got me back on the road by 5.30PM. Overall great experience; did notice Vince and Charles helping other customers while I was waiting trying to address their issues; I like the 7.00AM to 7.00PM hours and weekend hours too. Certainly would have no issues using this location again. read more

I had been a loyal customer at this Firestone location for years, but recently I started going to Jones Honda after growing suspicious about the unusually frequent tire replacements they kept recommending. Most recently, I had a nail in my rear driver's side tire. Firestone told me the tire had to be replaced and claimed it couldn't be plugged. I declined their service and took the car to Jones Honda on Manheim Pike for a second opinion. There, I was told the exact opposite--that the nail was in the center of the tread, which is precisely where a tire can be safely plugged. In other words, Firestone attempted to upsell me on an unnecessary replacement. That kind of dishonesty is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend any Firestone location in the Lancaster area. read more

This location sold me a pair of tires at a ridiculously high price. One of the tires was defective. I brought the tire from 5 hours away to try to get them to make it right. They refused. I had to eat $300 and took the higher road and junked their trash tire for them. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION OR THIS BRAND. From now on, go to walmart and get your tires put on there for a fraction of the price. There is no guarantee at Firestone. read more

I used to drive a long way to get my oil changed. I have been saving my car mileage and going to Firestone that is very conveniently located. I can drop my car off in the morning and then walk home to do work. The people are all very nice and trustworthy. They do great work and I feel like they take care of my car as if was their car. There is a lobby that you can wait for your car to be serviced. I have never used that libby area. read more

I've been taking my trucks to Firestone on Oregon Pike for years. Everyone has been courteous, but I especially like dealing with Kevin, who has been great at keeping me informed. Jeffrey worked on my truck yesterday, and both he and Kevin couldn't have been nicer. I had tires put on, and during the process, a stem on the sensor was cut. We initially thought the sensor was shot, but then discovered the problem. If they were not honest, they could have sold me a new sensor and I would not have had any way of knowing. I appreciate their service, and they have continued to offer quality care, even during tough times with an employee shortage. Their hard work is appreciated. read more

So my car needs inspected and since Jones bought my dealer and then moves it to some back lot for no one to find, Im left picking a nearby garage. Its not a bad place, they do fair work for reasonable prices. Its near my work, and lots of coworkers go here so I tried it out for inspection. Of course it turns out I need tires... so $300 for inspection and 2 tires. Anyway, the staff is as friendly as can be for mechanics (so not too bad), and they work on your car pretty fast. They will tell you that a friday is not the time to bring it in as thats the busiest day. They open at 7am and take credit cards. read more

Horrible service, which I discovered after another mechanic looked at the work. Got new tires in January with new tire sensors. One was bad when I took it in so new sensors should have fixed it. It didn't. Had another mechanic try to take left front off and found a cross threaded lug nut. The suspension was partially disassembled due to an accident with impact on other side of vehicle. Took a half hour of labor to snap the stud and replace. $90 charge. Called Firestone. Manager argued with me and tried to claim the body shop jammed the nut taking it off the wheel. Can't happen! Eventually paid but wouldn't talk to me eye to eye. As for tire sensor, took it to dealer. Dealer found that the tires were programmed into the computer wrong. Found the bad sensor on Tire 4. But Tire 4 was not in the rear. it was in the right front. Determined that the sensor was never replaced. Recommend going across the street to Goodyear, to K&W on Prince, or Lebzelters in Millersville. read more

During the winter when I don't feel like changing my oil in twenty degree weather I take it to firestone. The technicians are always very friendly and knowledgeable. My only gripe with them is that some of their services can be a little overpriced, and the waiting room has that we don't want you here feeling. The technician did a courtesy service. This service, I was told, included topping off my oil and my transmission fluid. Two weeks later my transmission failed. I was told by two different dealerships that the wrong transmission fluid was put into my vehicle which likely caused the failure. I had paid this vehicle last July. I had no intention of buying or leasing a new car. I also had no intention to pay for a new transmission after only 116k miles on my 2011 Jeep. Bridgestone (Firestone) denied my claim to pay for the repair. This location cost me 4100.00 in transmission repairs and took no responsibility over their incompetent technician (Keith). Please do not ever trust this shop with your vehicle. Any damage done will be held up in a two week, or more, process and they will not put for a rental while you wait. They knew what they did was wrong and chose to overlook one small little customer who needed $4,100.00 to fix a mistake they caused. Integrity and honesty is just not what they're about. UPDATE 6/12/19 It's been over a year since my original post. Here is the conclusion. Facts only, not complaining (legal stuff). Fact 1: Total transmission replacement would have been 3,950. Fact 2: I had a courtesy vehicle from my amazing dealership, Providence Auto, for a month while my case was being investigated. Fact 3: It was determined that two different transmission fluids were in my vehicle. Fact 4: I had to decide to lease a vehicle because the investigation took longer than expected and trade in my, paid off, vehicle to the dealership for $1000. Fact 5: The corporation decided to give me $500. As a good faith payout. read more

Good price on the tires I purchased, Firestone Destination LE2 for 2001 GMC Yukon XL, replaced same tires with about 50,000 miles. The staff seemed friendly, offering scheduled maintenance and found possible problem I wasn't aware of. Ive been coming here for occasional oil changes. Maybe 3 times total for diffrent cars i had in the past. Didnt have a problem those few times untill today. I took my car to get an oil change, they did NOT use the correct oil. After they already asked me what oil it takes before performing the oil change. Also its stated on the sticker in the window from a pervious oil change. They used synthetic a more expensive, thinner oil. They came out to tell me now my car has an oil leak. (that it has never had before.) The lady who spoke to me about the leak (diffrent then the lady who i told the kind of oil my car takes) apologized said they should NOT have done that and she doesnt know why they did. She made the man drain it and use the right oil and charged me 40 $ rather then the 60$ the mechanic was upset and the lady sam apologized to me for him. On top of that they said i need front breaks and rotors, ok no big deal. But wanted 568 $ for parts and labor and told me that my break fuild went bad and needs a fluid exchange for 80.00... OBVIOUSLY that is not a thing for break fluid to go bad. Im posting the pic of everything they told me needed done when all i went in there for was an oil change. They saw a young woman with a 2 yr old kid, who they thought they could pull one over on. I do not recomend fire stone of lancaster pa on oregon pike. I've been taking my Jeep to this Firestone since I moved to Lancaster two years ago. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I'm not a mechanic but I've been driving for 40 years and know a thing or two about automotive mechanics. I've experienced my fair share of condescending treatment over the years (I'm a woman). The folks at Firestone treat me with respect and listen to my concerns carefully. My Jeep is repaired in the time and price stated. There has been little glitches like having to wait longer than expected because the wrong part was sent. But even brilliant neurosurgeons make mistakes. So, I have to laugh at some of the petty complaints of other reviewers. One thing I do agree with another reviewer is that the waiting area is kind of tacky and unwelcoming. The coffee is pretty bad. I volunteer to teach the guys how to make a fabulous pot of coffee! read more

Walked in Sunday (2/22/15) with a flat tire. Certainly not a way I had planned to spend / start off my Sunday. Nico, one of the front desk representatives helped me out by quickly logging me into their system and getting my car seen. The estimated wait was 1 hour and I was out of there well before then. Thankfully my tire was completely shot, and they were able to patch it for a nominal fee. Altogether, I had a great experience and will consider Firestone (this location and others) in the future when I'm in a need because of the great service I received this time! read more

I want to start by saying that I have always come to this Firestone. Everyone is pleasant and nice and prices aren't outrageous. With that being said, my experience over the past 3 days has compelled me to write a review. I called on Tuesday at 5pm to make an appointment to have my truck inspected the following day and let them know I would be dropping it off at 8:30 the next morning. The next morning I dropped it off and at 5:00pm walked over to pick it up. I was told that they had just begun to work on it, and it would take an hour, but it would be guaranteed by 6:00. A little frustrated, but understanding, I sat down and waited. At 6:20 someone calls me over and tells me that they are not even finished due to a fog light problem and I need to bring it back the next day. I bring it back the next morning to let them finish and pick up at 5:00. I get home only to realize my fog lights are completely missing from my vehicle. We called and will now have to go back and pick them up. I am patient, but can not understand how this happened. Hopefully just oversight and everyone was very kind and respectful, but still not an ideal experience. read more

AVOID -AVOID -AVOID!!!!! I'M NOT happy at all! Took car in for front end alignment, after replacing control arms, ball joints, tie rods, sway bar rods, and tie rod extension tubes. My car drove straight and true before they got ahold of it! Now, it immediately veers off to the right when hands are taken off the steering wheel momentarily! After TWO attempts to let them align my car properly, I'm left with a car in worse shape than when I brought it to them! I am now forced to go above the manager's head to try to get my car aligned properly. read more

The people were very nice. They called me when everything was done and discussed the problems. They also shared recommendation that the car needed. They called me again when the car was ready for pick up. They were very organized as well in handing everything back to me and giving a detailed typed explanation of what they spoke on the phone and what the car needed. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! I have been taking my cars to Firestone since I moved to Lancaster 10+ years ago. After my experiences over the last few months, I will never take another car there again, and I will tell everyone to avoid them. A few months ago, we scheduled my husband's car for a routine oil change and replacement windshield wiper (yeah, ok, these are easy to change on your own, but we figured it would be there, why not just have it done). He specified he would drop off the car the night before and needed it back by noon the next day. When 3:00 rolled around and we still hadn't heard from Firestone (not even the "your car needs x, y, and z done, won't you please spend more money with us" call), he called and asked that his car be ready by 5:00. They said it was done and we could come pick it up. On arrival, we noticed the oil change sticker wasn't replaced, and neither was the wiper. They hadn't done the work. A manager apologized profusely and offered us a free oil change for their oversight. We figured it was a one time fluke. We got the oil changed elsewhere. Flash forward to this past weekend. My husband's car is due for inspection and he needed another oil change. We drop the car off and again specify we need it returned by noon (heading into the Christmas weekend, this is critical). Again, noon rolls around and we still haven't heard from Firestone. Again, we call, and are told the car is done and we can pick it up. Again, we notice the oil change sticker wasn't changed and neither was the inspection sticker. And, my husband is angry that they broke his keychain and returned his key fob without the key ring. Turns out, not only did they not do the inspection or oil change, they also gave us SOMEONE ELSE'S key. Their explanation? Sorry, we had two of the same car here, but please, take two free oil changes on us. DO NOT BRING YIUR VEHICLES HERE. They will neglect to do the work, and will likely switch your keys with someone else's. I have never seen such poor management and customer service. read more

The team at THIS Firestone location has gone above and beyond for me always. As a faithful customer, they have gone out of their way when I needed other small services done. I tend to have a great experience at all Firestones in general but you can't go wrong here on Oregon Pike! Highly recommended. If you read a bad review on here, it is most likely because that person who gave the bad review had an attitude problem. These guys are honest, quick, and knowledgable. read more

I am convinced that this firestone store should be closed down as soon as possible. I did a complete ac compressor change last year and the ac ALWAYS stop working. I have been to this store uncountable times in last 14months just for a simple ac work that they did but it never works without breaking down. Even the break replaced had to be redone by another mechanic. Same break noise persisted even after this firestone store claim they had new one in. I have no doubt that there are fraudulent attempts to do mediocre job so as to keep customers coming. My ac work so have has accumulated to $1400 yet I drive in hot car with all windows wind down. One of the tech guy suggested the ac compressor had either bad plug or the compressor needs replaced. This is one year after they had it replaced initially. They just doing trial and error job. I suggest if you are determined getting a quality job on your vehicle look elsewhere. I am amazed that a car tech would even be suggesting replacing car ac every year. Oh...I know why!!! This is the 13months after the first job. 1 month after warranty expired so they want more money for a nasty mediocre job. read more
