Worst service ever. Dropped my car off the night before to only have a battery replaced. Called the next morning to see if it was done. They forgot to order the battery. So I had to wait for another 3 hours. I missed a half day of work because of this. They never offered me a loaner car or even free oil change. Will never come back here again. read more

I usually only leave a review for places I absolutely love because I don't like to badmouth businesses but I left Firestone feeling very flustered. I had made an appointment online for 5pm and when I get there they said they didn't have the appointment on record even though I got a confirmation email. They took me anyway and said my car would be ready in about an hour. Hour and a half later I get the call that my car is ready. When I get there to pick it up, the guy CANT FIND MY KEYS. I would've been terrified if I hadn't seen my car right outside but it was still concerning because he had no idea where he put them. Another guy comes to help him look, they're looking in all the other cars, all over the place for a good 15 minutes until it finally shows up. You'd think they'd give me a discount or something for the anxiety they caused me but nope nothing. Go across the street to Jiffy Lube, it's cheaper and more reliable. read more

I have to be completely fair here: I called to request a transfer of a service to my new vehicle (something not usually allowed) and the store manager Craig said it couldn't be done. I told him I would call Corporate, because, as I explained to him (Craig) I had significantly extenuating circumstances. I called corporate and received wonderful customer service, and was assured a regional manager would call me back to discuss my situation. The next day, Craig called me and said the corporate office approved my request. I thanked him and set an appointment to service my car for this morning. Although the manager wasn't here, Luigi was... And I have to tell you all, Luigi has got to be among the most professional and kind employees I've ever met in car servicing. He is just WONDERFUL! Firestone, you all have a gem of an employee here! Thank you Craig for making sure I was well taken care of and going above and beyond to get my babies and I safely in the road. I have been using Firestone Complete Auto Care for over 6 years. I recently dropped in on a Sunday morning, (no appointment) for an oil change with coupon in hand. Was in and out of there in 1 hour , oil change with filter and disposal, for less than I could buy the oil for myself. A couple of months earlier I had a tire run flat on the 94, on a Friday right before rush hour no less. I thought my night was ruined! Called the La mesa store, The manager had a replacement tire (not your common tire) brought from Mission Valley waiting for me as my tow truck pulled my car in to their shop. They replaced my tire I had road hazard insurance on, And as one of the Potensa Pole Position series tires, It had huge miles on it!! Without a question, they had me home with another smile on my face in time for dinner and my money still in my wallet. I was told by my dealer that my brakes were below 3 ml and I needed brake work. I was quoted around $300 for the work. I called Firestone and got a quote of $150 for the same work. When I took the car in to get the work done, Firestone asked who had told me that I needed brakes. They said both front and rear brakes were over 4 ml and that new brakes weren't even needed! They have been doing my alignments for 20+ years. Never a problem. I get my cars maintained on a regular basis so there are not issues. Both of our cars have alignment agreements and are done every 5-6K miles. Both have uneven inside tire wear, due to bad alignment. Went in to talk to manager when it happened to my wife's car (Toyota Avalon, third car of the same model, never a problem) and no responsibility for it. Told me it could have been bad balancing, but that is not and has never been a problem. They didn't even mention the bad tire wear when they aligned it. Then my car BMW Z4 has the same inside wear. Went in to see the manager. he wasn't there, but was told he would call me to discuss. Never a call. Have now ruined 4 tires, leaving a lot of unused miles on the tread, Tire manufacturer voids the warranty b/c of wear from bad alignment. read more

You would think for a 55 dollar oil change (and that's with a coupon!) it would not be too much to ask to top of the fluids in your car. I've gotten that service and a car wash for less. Won't be coming back. read more

Got my tire slashed, came here for a replacement and customer service exceeded what i expected! Everyone was super nice and accommodating with my college student budget. But here's the part that got me to write this review!! Got THE SAME BRAND NEW TIRE SLASHED AGAIN within one week...came back and expected to be charge full price for everything. However, Luigi saw how recent I came in, didn't even charge me for the tire (I almost cried at his kindness). Thank you Firestone for being so kind!! Definitely will come back and will recommend this place to all of my friends!! read more

Even though I made an appointment and was told it would take an hour, I was still sitting in there waiting room 2 hours later. However the staff was friendly and apologetic. I have been taking my Corolla S here for a couple years for an oil change. I wait in the lobby until it's done. They don't take long at all and they have good customer service. There's always a coupon for a 20 dollar oil change and I will continue to come here! Ps- they have coffee, water, TV and magazines for those who wait. read more

they did a good job on my truck and my daughters car if you are in any kind of a hurry i recommend going somewhere else they are constantly trying to up sale you i also got different prices on work needing to be done to my truck i got one quote for 497 to replace my timing belt waited a month the guy no longer worked at this location anymore my next quote for the same thing was 679 a hugh jump in price they were not willing to work with me in any way shape or form that frustrated me so if your in a pinch and you live across the street i say use them but i will take my business elsewhere from this point on read more

Called in to get an estimate. I already knew what was wrong, but they insisted on the $99 diagnostic. I declined the diagnostic leading them to tell me that they would not guarantee their work unless I pay the $99 to have them check the codes. I then told them exactly what was wrong and wanted to know how much it would be to fix it. The employee told me to hold while he got the pricing from some auto part store. After getting the pricing, the employee told me that the part costs over $300! Now thats for an O2 sensor which is normally just over $100. I then began to explain to the employee that it is an outrage to mark up the price more then double what it would cost at a local Autozone. Firestone then told me that it would also be a $70 labor charge. I understand they are trying to make money, but that is ridiculous. The employee also said that the Autozone pricing is only if I were to go pick it up and do it myself. Why can't I go pick it up and Firestone charge me the $70? I used to use Firestone a lot, but after this experience I don't think I will ever go back. read more

Do these people know what they are doing at all??? I took my car in a few months ago because it was leaking coolant. It was a small leak and I was filling the reservoir about once a week or so. They did a pressure test and said there was no leak. Fast forward to 4 days ago. My car began to leak coolant very badly so I took it there again. This time they found the leak. They said it was the radiator and that would be $450 parts and labor, but also suggested new hoses and a flush and new coolant. This brought the total to almost $1000 so an extra $500 for hoses and coolant?!? then I was told that one of the cooling fans was broken and the whole unit needed replacing at what ended up being $550.00. It took 2 more days to get the part and have it installed. The very next day after the repair the hose at the bottom of the radiator came off and dumped all the coolant!!! I had only driven about 7 miles total since the repair. This is absolutely unacceptable!! 3 days with my car and they can't make sure the hoses are secure? I had to have my car towed back to them. They fixed it promptly, but I was told basically "hey stuff happens" I guess they mean that tightening a critical part on my car is something they may or may not do correctly. I also saw when looking at my radiator hose that a vacuum hose had become disconnected during the service, and they hadn't noticed. Total fail! Thank god I didn't get stuck out in the middle of nowhere! The only reason I gave one star is that they were at least courteous, but being nice seems to be a cover for shoddy work. read more
