They changed brakes and suggested a coolant and brake exchange ($200 more) and didn't even test drive to see if the problem was fixed. She spent $1200 and the problem persist, they are incompetent and just want your money regardless the means. I want to start off by saying the branch manager HeavenLee is why I will continue to come back to Firestone in Kent. I scheduled my car for an alignment for a Saturday morning at 9. When I got there, a few minutes late I was immediately that they were short staffed but will be doing their best 100% of the time. That's exactly what happened. HeavenLee had the shop running full speed. My alignment took a bit longer than I would have liked but the entire time I was there, no one was lounging, no one was just standing around. Everyone was extremely kind the entire time. I got my car back and I didn't drive around very much. But when I called to let them know that I felt shaking at my steering wheel the customer service agent got an appointment scheduled for me. HeavenLee went above and beyond to make sure my SUV was 100% good to go. Thank you HeavenLee and your team to keep my family safe on the roads! read more

I went to the Kent location for an alignment because Les Schwab would not do one because I needed $1600 in front suspension work and their first question was, "where did I buy my wheels and tires?" Which is irrelevant. Randy was great since walking in, he was able to fit me in for an alignment. I was expecting to get a call about the front end work that I supposedly needed per Les Schwab, but I didn't. Thank You Randy for not trying to take advantage and wasting people's time like Les Schwab did to me! If I could give 0 stars I would . This place is a complete scam $10.99 safety check ya right . I had a loud squeal in my front right rotor . They told me they checked it and took a rock out that was lodged in behind the brake pad etc ..... they said my rotor had a definite grove worn in from it ..... both lies !!!! Not only did they not fix it . They left the rock there that was lodged actually in between the shield guard and the rotor . I'm pretty sure that's what the problem was the entire time . Yet when I when back in there they tried to sell me a front brake job to fix the problem even thou my brakes are just fine . At the end of the day I ended up fixing the problem myself. Finding the rock and removed it. I simply wanted to know what the problem was and they tried to scam me into having work done that wasn't needed . I made an appointment at this "business" and 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment, my car was taken into the garage. The employees stood around talking during that time. Clearly they do not value customers' time and I recommend you don't even bother making an appointment. Furthermore, the front desk service is terrible. The employee up front will be talking to you and then start talking to the next person in line and try to check both people in at the same time. First, didn't tell me how long the wait is going to be for fixing the flat. They just said it may not be fixable without look at the tire. They want $30 for flat repair! I said I have no choice since you are the only tire shop around. Waited 15 mins to fix a flat, but no one was doing the work. I had enough time to go online and call Les Schwab and get a quote half the price and only 3 mins away. I asked them to give me the key back, they said 3 cars in front of me. I personally forgot details on items I wanted to be out on along with my rim installation. Rims where put on and hub-centric rings where still in the trunk. This is after he was on his phone. As an ex-employee I know that even if his tech was as slammed as he said he was, he could have went and did it. This store has always been this way. Scheduled a weeks advance for an alignment at 11am showed up 1030 and the 10am guy in front of me hasn't even gotten his car in the pit yet, waited and waited and looked down and it's 11:40 the 10 am guys car is still on the rack. My family visited this location a couple weeks ago, but the service we received was terrible. We were looking to get two of our front tires replaced, but the employees damaged one of the rear tires. While we understand that accidents happen, they attempted to conceal this fact instead of informing us of what had happened. They did not acknowledge this until we went out of our way to point it out to them. They were dismissive and unapologetic, simply agreeing to cover the charge for the tire they damaged. My father is not a native English speaker and they were able to use this fact to ignore his concerns. Due to their mistake, we had to get both of the rear tires replaced so that they would match, paying more than we would have needed to. While this experience was far from satisfactory, we were willing to let it go. However, as soon as we picked up the car and drove home, we noticed that the air pressure was uneven for each of the tires. We had to make another trip to the shop. It was then that we noticed that one of the nuts on the tire was missing. We asked them to replace it, but they refused. They did not apologize and they were again, dismissive of our concerns. They told us to go to a nearby hardware shop and replace it ourselves. They implied that what happened was insignificant and did not warrant any complaints. As an auto repair shop, it is their responsibility to fix any issues they caused. We have been longtime customers and many of our family and friends live in the same area, but the recent experience we had was overwhelmingly disappointing. I only hope that other customers do not receive the same level of disrespect my family faced. read more

Randy and Sherri were great. The friendliest service, explained everything, gave me recommendations to keep my car running smoothly, and a fair price. Didn't nickel-and-dome me nor charge me for things I didn't need. Randy pitched me new tires but then said it probably wasn't time to replace them, and I agreed. The tech actually wrote "check brake fluid" on my sheet and Randy said no, I could do that when I changed my brakes. That's two opportunities where they could have done a hard sell or worse, lied to me about what my car needed--but they didn't. Highly recommend. read more

I went into the Kent location to get a couple tires repaired. I initially spoke to the tech who accepted the tires and told me I could come back when they were done. Then I spoke with the fella behind the desk in the show room. He took a look at the tires and measured the tread on each. He had no issues with the first (because it was practically brand new), but told me the tread on the 2nd tire was too low to repair. When I asked him what he meant, he told me that he couldn't patch the tire because the tread was at 4/32" deep, and to do so was 'illegal.' I was then (of course) offered the opportunity to purchase new tires. I went home and measured the tread and found it was at least 5/32". I used to go to the Bellevue Firestone until my last appt w/them, I felt harassed by one of the employees. Due to that experience & recently moving I decided to try out this Kent Firestone. I called last Friday 7/6 to make my appt & was immediately put on hold when I called. I didn't mind at first as I know FS can be busy, but I ended up being on hold for over 10 minutes. A guy named Randy finally answered & I gave him my name & number and told him I needed to have my front & rear brakes replaced, rear rotor replaced, air filter changed, & an oil change done. I held on the phone for a long time while I thought he was scheduling my appt in the computer & after a while longer, he finally replies "Can I get your information & give you a call back? We've got a lot of people here in the store." I was annoyed but figured he'd give me a call within the hour to finish scheduling my appt. I never got a call back. Even in the days after still no call. I called back on Thursday 7/12 & Randy answered again. I again told him what needed to be done, & he asked if I could drop off my car to leave it all day & I said sure since I know I need a lot done that will take time. He asked me if 9am Sat 7/14 worked & I said that sounds perfect. I called back on Friday 7/13 because I thought I accidentally booked with the Auburn FS & just wanted to confirm my appt was with the Kent one, Randy answered again, & he said there were no appts scheduled for 9am. Now I really thought I had booked it with Auburn, but as I told him what I needed done, he was like "oh I think I remember you, I spoke to you yesterday" and confirmed that I did indeed call Kent. He was like "You're leaving your car all day right? We can certainly take care of ya!" - so for a second time, I confirmed my appt at 9am on Sat 7/14. Today, I got here to FS a little before 9am for my appt. after waiting in the store a bit, Randy came in to help us. I told him I was here to drop off my car for the services I booked and before I finished what I was saying he just says "We can't take your car in." When I asked him what he means, he said that about 8 cars came in this morning to get work done and they can't take anymore cars today. I told him I had an appt at 9am & reminded him that I spoke with him twice to confirm this & he just denied that he ever booked an appt for me at 9am and that he only told me it would be "drop off and to come in as early as possible" because he's "been here for 6 years" and knows what he says. He NEVER said that during either call & multiple times I mentioned "9am APPOINTMENT". I gave him my name again to confirm in the system & he had nothing. He asked for my number to see when he can schedule something for me & by then I was fed up & said forget it. So here I am, still in the FS parking lot writing this review & extremely upset at this horrible service. I do NOT recommend this FS to anyone! read more

I went in for an oil change with an appointment made for both my cars back in June. It took two hours for an oil change for two cars. With that being said, this is with an appointment. If you are under-staff, please do not take in walk-in appts. Adding to this, the mechanics were unprofessional with the way business was conducted. The front desk happened to misplace my second car keys, luckily I kept a spare and also kept my house keys with me at all time. It took them another 30 minutes to find my car keys. I will never come back to this location and take my business elsewhere as there are 5-6 car repair shops in Kent. read more

Had an appointment for an alignment. I showed up about 10 minutes early. The guy behind the counter told me that they had a problem with the vehicle currently on the alignment machine. A part had broken off, they had ordered the part, they were waiting for it to fix the car. He asked me to come back in an hour and that, no matter who was next up, he would get me in. I totally get that stuff comes up, didn't have an issue with it - but my complaint here would be, "Do you think that you could have CALLED me before and let me know about this?" There is no excuse for not calling me and letting me know about this issue BEFORE I drove down there. As the vehicle had a broken part, they had already called for a new part replacement, etc., the problem with the other vehicle had clearly not just happened. I should have been contacted immediately. Second problem, the employees clearly don't communicate well with each other. When I called to make sure they were ready for me to drive back there, the guy wants to know why I never showed up for my appointment! Say what? When I tell him I most assuredly showed up, and told him what I had been told, he then offered to "squeeze me in" later in the afternoon. About the time I'm ready to blow a gasket, I hear someone in the background tell the guy on the phone to tell me to come on down. To be fair, the second time around, they were very personable, they took care of my car (tried very, very, very hard to sell the lifetime alignment service) and I would definitely go there again. It's just some minor tweaks that really need to be polished off. Note to manager: If you're going to be delaying someone with an appointment, just call ahead and let the customer know. Well I spoke with the factory social media representative from Firestone and he like the rest of the store staff just made up lots of excuses for have five flat tires in 19,000 miles. Never once apologizing for our bad experience. But one thing he did say shortly after stating that their tires were of good quality was, "we repair thousands of our tires daily" . Well you just said it yourself. Having to repair thousands daily admits you have poor quality tire material and are prone to flats. When I said I would not be back as a buying customer. He had nothing to say and it seemed to me that he really doesn't care. read more

*Revised Review* After recently buying a used car, I discovered that the previous owner had stripped the bolt holding the fuel line into the bottom of the fuel filter, so last week I had the car towed to Firestone to have the fuel filter replaced and the fuel line bolt re-threaded. I initially spoke with Randy, who was great. He was very friendly to both myself & the other customers that were there. Because they were so busy, it took them a day before they were able to get to my car. When I went to pay the bill, my total was a good deal more than I had been quoted & unfortunately Randy was off that day so I was unable to talk to him about it. Feeling rather disgruntled, I paid & left. I received a call from Randy 1st thing this morning and asked if I would be willing to come down and talk with him as there was a problem with the bill from my recent service. When I arrived, he had my last invoice out and explained what had happened and explained why I was overcharged and Randy apologized profusely for the mistake. He then made it right and when I left, I was happy and felt that it was a genuine mistake. Thank you Randy. That, Sir, is excellent customer service! read more

Apparently alignments are the most difficult thing to do in the world. I took my car in there for an alignment as it pulled left and the steering wheel was off to the right. I paid for the lifetime package of $190 which seems like a good deal as you may need alignments as the car ages. After the first time I drove home. Immediately getting onto the road, I noticed the steering wheel was still crooked. The pulling stopped though. So I took it in the very next week and mentioned that after the last time, the steering wheel was still off AND it was vibrating at higher speeds like above 60 (which it didn't before). He offered to do a wheel balancing for $35 and despite me saying it started right after I left the lot he said sometimes the wheel weights just fall off. (yeah, OK sure). After the second alignment, they supposedly found two discrepancies with wheel weight and corrected it and re-did the alignment. He showed me the computer printout showing .08 degrees of steering wheel lean to the right. I felt relieved, until I got into the car. The steering wheel was still off (like a good 8-10 degrees by the naked eye) AND it still vibrated. I called to let them know I was very disappointed and would never go back there again. Good auto work is hard to find. I have a personal mechanic I trust but he doesn't have the large equipment to handle these tasks. I don't care how they choose to defend their crappy work, they don't know what they're doing over there. Part of doing a wheel alignment is steering wheel centering. I almost feel like going back and making them sit in the car with me to see it but then I have to see their faces again. EDIT 9/28/16 Took my care recently to another place, let's call it LS. They quickly got it right and even did it at no charge. Three visits to Firestone and a Lifetime Alignment Package down the toilet. What a waste of money. It wasn't even a hard fix from the standpoint from the guys at LS. Guess where I'll be going from now on? read more

Have been coming to this place for about 3 years now and have always been happy with their services. But yesterday was the worst experience I had. For example they call me to tell me what they recommended to be done and they gave me prices. they are usually good at telling what's the best thing to do regarding prices. But on yesterday's service I felt they care more about getting out of their than helping me out. They explain to me everything that they did when I picked up my car put this time he just gave me my keys and asked how I was paying. So because if it I felt cheated and over charged. Considering it was labor days they would have special and discounts. I mean I would have gotten tires if they were on sale if they would have told me. Cause they said I needed some soon. This experience has opened me up to looking at different places to go for my business. read more

My daughter had a check engine light on, they told her that she needed service done imediately (not true) and then charged her double for labor, performed service that wasn't necessary and charged more than double retail cost for the parts. When we went in to talk to the manager we were told that there is nothing they can do because the corporate office sets all the prices. I had brought my Honda Element for a brake job in March. A few weeks later, they began to squeak, especially when it rained. I called Firestone and they suggested that I come back into the shop. Today, they examined the brake pads and rotors and didn't notice any unusual wear. However, the service manager, Josh, wanted to ensure that they resolve the squeaking problem by installing better quality pads at no charge to me. Josh was very professional, friendly and empathetic. This is about the third time I've used this Firestone Service Center and each time I've had a good experience with the quality of their work and their friendly customer service. read more

Brought my Azera into the shop to have wheel bearings replaced. They had worked on my others cars and I had good results. They also had very reasonable rates. Well, the first set of after market bearings they ordered were too loose so they ordered another set. These were too tight. Finally, they had to go to the dealership to order the part. During the process, they realized that it would take some time to get the parts and car fixed so they offered to pay for a rental car. The communication and service was great.. Hats off to Chris, Randy and David for keeping me appraised of the delays and getting me the rental car. They were easy to work with and completely honest about problems that they were running into. read more

I have been going to this location for yrs and have been increasing unsatisfied with service. I will not be going back. Took car in with appt on Monday at 7 made the week before. After 4:30 we called to see if done, they had not even started the service. They said would need TIL tue afternoon finally called at 5:15 and stated done, tried to sell us tires we didn't need and still have not learned how to turn off the constant dinging bell for tires put on my Honda. Goes off every 5 seconds truly irritating or the 45-1 1/2 hr commute to Bellevue for work. Last time it was over inflated tires. This was only discovered after several return trips by the manager who realized that tires were over inflated. Techs will not listen when you try to explain just blow you off and say drive awhile it will stop... guess what ? It NEVER DOES!! I and tell you how mad I am at this shop and promise I will never again bring any of my 4 vehicles to them , we were going to buy new tires for my sons car but now will head for Les Schawb tires and call it good. Their loss of sales we spend a lot of money here now will spend someplace-else. read more

Came in recently to get a flat tire fixed because they were the only ones open after 6PM. They said it was unrepairable, and that the best route would be to purchase 4 new tires. Took it to another shop the next day after work and they fixed it no problem. This is the 2nd time this has happened with this firestone. You can get much better service elsewhere, I wouldn't recommend going here. read more

The employee working in the front in dealing with customers arriving and departing was very rude and was not professional at all. For a situation of asking about price of taking tires off of my rims that came off a car that was totaled out. I had just purchased the tired preceding the accident and wanted to keep them...with the questions I was met with attitude and contempt! I will never do business again with Firestone. Well when you go into a shop to get repairs done questions should be asks if cel is (check engine light) is flashing on and off constantly that is the car telling you that you need to stop driving it immediately and head to repair shop because it has a very bad misfire in engine that can permanently damage it ,I seen a spark plug get melted because the person kept driving .A automotive shop usually has at least 6 tech's or more and 3 to 4 sales assoc so that is 9 to 10 families that it supports.so yes sometimes prices seem high but there always the DOY way to go and save money.Any job the you pay someone else to do it,s not the parts or supplied that carry the cost it is always the labor. Now if vel light is just solid on it is usually a minor problem and most shop will tell this offer to repair and let you decide.and when that guy at the shop stays a hour after closing time to fulfill his promise to have your car do by closing time we'll guess what that closing time just moved up from 7 to 8 for him so that should be a good thing not something to complain about .just the fact that he chose to take and hour of his own time to take care of you so you can get home safe us a good thing thank him for not a monish for it Thank you read more
