It was the most stressful, absolutely awful experience that my husband and I have ever had. After 3 weeks of trying to get our car fixed, finally we got it back. That review will be coming and it's a doozy. Fast forward to the our current status. Last week, we had to take our Dodge Ram 1500 for repairs. After the last experience of a car repair we were so leery on where to take this. So I went on yelp and was hopeful that we could find a good repair shop. I saw Yire Automotive had reviews, not many, but that they 5 stars on every rating except for one. Hmmm..I'm thinking, that's just too good to be true. I looked at their site, I once again read the reviews, then I called them. The person who answered, Walter, was welcoming, listened to what I needed and said sure bring it in today. Well my husband had the truck, but I made an appointment for the next day. To put this all in a nutshell, the truck went in, Walter was just as friendly as he is in person as he was on the phone. There is no fancy office in place, but it's decent and Walter has all kinds of info on the wall about his certificates and what's in place. I asked him to call my husband because I don't understand crap when it comes to auto repairs. He was in constant contact with my husband, not only looked at what the issue was but recommended a few other things, sent pictures about this, that were important indeed, that should be repaired but he left this up to us. He didn't push, he didn't come on strong, he simply recommended. Suffice it to say, our truck was ready in two days. It is running beautifully. I have another repair that he will be handling, hopefully soon (well as soon as I call him) and I am sure that he and his people will take care of us again, just as well. It's extremely reassuring to have a place where you can take your vehicle and know that you will not get ripped off and where you will get good service. Now the reason I prefaced this review is to show how one place can be really bad for repairs and another isn't. Period. Anyways, give this place a shot, he's been in business a long time and there's a good reason why.

I started bringing in my 1999 Subaru Forester, and every visit was fast, efficient, and straightforward. Hands down…read more I previously posted about another mechanic who I THOUGHT was being honest and helpful but they were the farthesttt thing from. I digress. I brought my car here per my dad's recommendation as him and my sister get all their work done here. I got my car towed from my house to their shop and they were in constant communication with me, letting me know when my car got there to updates along the way. I spoke with Davey and he asked me to describe what the other shop told me was the issue and he insisted that wasn't the case and said he needed more time. He ended up calling me promptly to let me know he had diagnosed the problem and that it was GOOD NEWS. The first spot I brought my car to diagnosed a shot engine and that it would cost me $6,200 for labor and parts to fix my car. Davey and Jon at Winston diagnosed it CORRECTLY with a broken heater core and hose which after parts and labor was only an $850 FIX! Definitely not cheap and not fun to pay for, but MUCH different than $6.2k!!! I picked my car up from Davey yesterday and he was so stoked that he was able to save me the headache and MONEY that I thought I needed to fork out (or figure out if I just needed a new car). The nicest guy and TRUSTWORTHY which is huge when it comes to mechanics. Seriously can not sing their praises ENOUGH and I will be coming back here for ANY vehicle repairs from now on. P.S. We called him several times to get the estimate on fixing it and I got no answer from phone calls or voice mails. We don't have $160 to throw away but I guess lesson learned.
