Tire is just fine

Bad customer service If something malfunctions/breaks due to faulty work, they will give you such a hard time. No accountability. Expect badgering phone calls. Don't use them because they have to take your wheel off to work underneath the car. They have to use a jack to lift up your car, and take a wheel off. You might as well pay for a TOW. Because guess what... you're going to have to anyways because your car will start smoking and breaking down just 2 miles away from the house. Or your wheel will come off the freeway like mine did. My 3 girls were in the car with me and I'm pregnant. It was so scary. They are giving me such a hard time about accountability. It's been almost a month of this back and forth between my insurance company and them. For the love of all that's holy, just pay for a tow and do your research on reviews. Car shops have lifts, so they don't need to take wheels off. Always pay for roadside assistance. It's a hassle sometimes, but it's so worth the time it takes to set it up and get it done.

My VW Vanagon would not start and it was clearly more than a battery or starter issue.

So I agreed to do both. during work it was discovered that the radiator also leaked so I agreed to replacing that as well. When I met with John to pick the car up he simply handed me my keys and said he wasn't going to charge me for any of the work performed due to the shops inability to correct a new starting issue with the vehicle he suggested that it runs fine and starts perfect most the time, so maybe I just drive it. Suggested I could take it to another shop and diagnose what's wrong with it but really it wasn't a big runability issue. So now I'm thinking what the heck did you do to my car, so I took it to GM in Auburn and paid for diagnosis. John expects that I should be happy with the fact I didn't have to pay for any of the work that he performed on the vehicle. In his mind evidently future repairs which are substantial plus the car I had to rent because this was my daily is all on me, not his problem. Now my car sits in the GM backlot waiting for a camshaft that is backordered for a month or two. What I would explain as a massive lack of integrity from the shop, because this is not how you treat customers. Aaron 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.8L with 86 thousand miles. What they found was an absolute shocker.. John's shop had broken the exhaust camshaft and then repaired it with what looks to be 5-minute epoxy.. 5 MINUTE EPOXY!

River City Repair - Fixed my suspension issue within 4 hours that another shop had for over a month and couldn't even find the issue. River City is top notch!

My husband and I are in a bad way financially right now, and Tana has already secured my business with reassurance, kindness, and payment plan options for whatever we might need done. I think we can actually handle this! I am breathing much easier, and my shoulders are dropping. I didn't know that regulating one's nervous system could be done by an auto shop! O_O We reached out to RCR because of these positive reviews. They really help - write reviews, people! We are looking for a mechanic we can truly get behind and be loyal to. We also want to be able to wholeheartedly recommend to friends, family, and clients (I'm a mental health counselor and my clients are almost all struggling, too!). It is SUCH a thing, the treasure of finding an upstanding and authentic mechanic (and wife)! I feel that what they quoted me for their standard initial visit is not only fair but also extremely competitive. We'll see what else is in store. Stay tuned!

A MILLION OUT OF TEN, DO RECOMMEND!…read more We've been having some car issues for a few months, and unfortunately, we've been screwed over at other local shops that have a) lied to us about actual issues to try and get us to pay more, b) have had insane prices. Normally I take to Yelp for everything (duh), but I decided to post in a local Facebook mom's group about our recent issues in search of a mechanic that is tried, true, and reliable. River City Repair was suggested by another local mom, and from there it was less than a WEEK that we had our car up and running with no shady business done. Mark, the owner, actually owns two tow trucks and was able to come tow my vehicle for an incredibly affordable price to the shop. Not only that, but they called me their next business day before 9am with a diagnosis and price. From approving the fixes to the car being ready (and there was a laundry list) it took 48 hours.... 48 HOURS! They worked incredibly fast for the work that needed to be done. And for 8 total things that needed to be fixed (a couple that were major and made it so we couldn't drive the car), we were out the door for parts and labor for less than $2,500. My husband was dumbfounded at their honesty and affordability after a year of dealing with car issues/shady businesses between the two of us. We were ready to throw in the towel and scrap the car and just buy something new even though we reallllly didn't want to, so I am SO glad I posted on that page and was introduced to River City Repair. I met Mark's wife, Tana, over Facebook and she was the one who put all of the gears into motion to get us scheduled to even offering a one-time free diagnostic to help out a local fellow mom. Mark personally drove the truck to pick our car up and he was such a kind, personable guy - even down to showing our two year old truck-obsessed son a few things on the tow truck (and totally making his day). Mark made a comment about his clients becoming like family, and I can TOTALLY see why. They're such great, honest people and this is the epitome of a small local business being a pillar in their community. Hands down we have found our go-to shop. Thank you to the entire River City Repair team for all of their kindness and hard work!

Addendum- the car being worked on was one she was purchasing was one being sold to her by them …read more... I am sorry for that error in review. The rest is irrelevant you did in fact tell her it would be done, she didn't leave in your vehicle. My mom picked her up . So because you didn't have it done and she was understandably upset you find it ok then to call your customers names? Why would she pay for a repair never completed? You act as if some big favor was granted you came to a agreement on a car that wasn't delivered. Ya people usually don't pay on that. So if you expecting a sorry for telling the truth, that won't happen. I do apologies for the incorrect detail of it being a car you sold that you told her at 10 at night you just had a couple things to do ... Anyway you look it's bad business and what place that always "takes care of there customer" calls them spoiled brats And other choice names you called her. You say you work through the night like you deserve a pat on the back for it were you not the one who told her her car would be ready at 10? Did you not tell her you had a few more things to do? So if you worked through the night that was no fault but your own. What between you calling her and her getting there went from the car will be ready to it being morning and it still not being done considering you're a mechanic I would think that a error like that you would've noticed right away and then able to simply tell her the car is not going to be done and won't be done. I'm not going to get the back-and-forth argument with you about it some customers like your work this particular one had a bad experience I'm not going to apologize for letting people know about that that's exactly what yelp is for like I said I did correct the fact that it was a vehicle that she was purchasing from you but it doesn't change a situation nor the circumstances you have one-sided story she has hers but I did not once hear you say that you did not call her names in fact even in the reply you wrote to be harsh to the fact that you didn't get to cry.... maybe you're great person any other time but it definitely doesn't show here nor did it to her good luck
