Stumbled across Dave's in Auburn so I stopped in and told them my story. My issue was the clutch which they fixed and it runs well and they also advised ball joints were worn. Had them replace them. My Jeep actually steered in a straight line again. I was thinking my next stop would be alignment but do not have to do that now. The thing I really like about this shop is their longevity and the crew are car guy's. They know what they are doing and I will be back.

After about 4 hours, I received a call with a quote of nearly $1,600 to replace all four rotors and brake pads. I later called another shop and got an estimate for the exact same work at $1,200, which confirmed that their quote was on the very high side. I declined the work and went to pick up my car. I was told they did a minor cleaning of the brakes to reduce the noise, and I was charged a little over $100. Unfortunately, the brakes squeaked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I didn't make a big deal about that since the underlying issue wasn't addressed -- but when I got home, I noticed my hubcaps hadn't even been removed. That really made me question whether any work was actually performed at all. Between the high pricing, the ineffective "fix," and the suspicion that my car may have just sat in the shop while I still paid over $100, I will not be returning here. I would recommend that others get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs at this shop.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THE MOST MISERABLE EXPERIENCE EVER. Heed my words…read more We recently had a transmission go out on a camper van and rather than rebuilding ourselves again, decided to pay a professional to ease the amount of stress that doing it alone causes. We were going to order a rebuilt transmission online, and absolutely should have. Instead, we went to Rob at Central Transmission. He talked a good talk and pricing was on par, so even though Kent is an hour drive each way, we decided to go with him. This was a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE mistake. After driving the transmission down and back (2 hours of time), it took longer than expected to get it back. He upsold us on a "better" torque converter. We had to send my elderly dad to pick up the transmission due to scheduling. My dad went to pick it up (another 2 hours), and bring it home. While not ideal, we are experts on installing transmissions on this van. The entire van has been rebuilt and remodeled by us. This transmission does not work. The Torque converter did not fit right and had incorrect splines that don't match the input shafts for the transmission. At the point we knew this wasn't going to work out. Rob started being non-responsive at this time, but after threatening legal action, he told us we could pay to have the van towed to him so he could look at it. We offered to do that the next day and he informed us we would need to wait at least a week to do it, so here we sat, wasting another week. At that point, Rob (appropriately named) went dark. Totally ghosted. Completely MIA. We ended up having to buy another torque converter out of pocket. That one fit fine, however, the transmission does not shift properly. The van is completely undrivable, the transmission does not shift, Rob will not respond and we are left out TWENTY FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. $2,500!!!!! I cannot even believe it. Messing with trying to get this transmission to work, getting the bad torque converter off (this took hours due to the bad fit), getting it to fit for installation, removing, replacing with another torque converter (out several hundred dollars more here), getting it reinstalled and then finding out the transmission itself won't shift, has cost us SOMEWHERE AROUND 35 HOURS, resulted in physical body wear and pain, and so much heartache, frustration and ultimately rage. So, here we sit, without a van. Without nearly $3,000. Rob (again, appropriately named), only takes payment in cash, likely because he knows he's robbing his customers, and then they can't dispute it with their bank or credit card company. And we still have to get another or rebuild this transmission ourselves. Meanwhile, not a peep from Rob, despite continued outreach. Ultimately, we will be out nearly $6,000. That doesn't include time and labor. We will be filing in small claims court. There are so many other reviews on various platforms, sharing similar experiences, and I wish we would have listened to them. Please hear me when I say - take your business elsewhere, please. We don't wish this experience on anyone at all.

We have had multiple failures on several different transmissions. Of those failed transmissions, they have failed multiple times. Sometimes with the same failure repeated after sending them back for warranty repair. Getting them to cover the cost of a warranty repair is like pulling teeth. No one calls back, they do not want to pay, they want you to send their product back so they can deny any wrong doing. They do not honor there warranty. While they are nice people on the phone and talk a good game, its all a show. Some of the most dishonest people I have met in the automotive repair industry. Not only did they screw up multiple times for our customers but also my own personal truck. I have had my transmission sent back to them three times. Wouldn't trust them for the 4th. Ended up having the wonderful people at SeaTac transmission fix TRC's poor workmanship. Best thing is, SeaTac Transmission charged me half the price. I suggest finding a business that will have a moral code, care about the people they are doing business with, and most of all, actually have the ability to rebuild transmissions that last longer then 10,000 miles. After TRC gets your money, they no longer care.

He told me his tech would be removing all necessary broken pieces, a service I was not expecting. When the work was done I received a text with a service report, including pictures of the bent undercarriage that was removed. Was not expecting the report so I was very pleasantly surprised. I gave it grace. "Maybe new brakes squeak during break-in." Six months later? Still screaming. So I bring it back. And I'm told I just need to "use my brakes more." Sir. I live in America. I use my brakes every single day. That is literally how driving works. Fast forward ONE YEAR!!!! and the squeal is now louder than my patience. Shortly after the service, I noticed a loud whining noise coming from the rear end. When I brought it back, they claimed they did nothing wrong, but offered to replace the axle bearings and seals for free. When I picked up my car, they told me it wasn't safe to drive on the freeway--this was shocking considering the car had always been well-maintained and in great shape. I then took my Mustang to Central Automotive for a second opinion. Their inspection found internal scarring where the axle seals sit, plus significant metal fragments on the internal magnet. In the end, the entire rear end had to be rebuilt--an extremely expensive repair that should never have been necessary after a simple fluid change. Central Automotive did a fantastic job fixing it, but I will never return to Point S/Easthill Tire. What should have been routine maintenance turned into a costly and stressful ordeal.
