On a whim, I took a chance on Defiance Auto after finding him on Yelp in Ruston -- a young MOBILE MECHANIC. He let me know he was licensed, certified and insured. Once he mentioned this, I did ask a few of the others that sent me a quote if they were and suddenly, they became unresponsive. I asked him for quotes on a few other things my car will need in the future and again, he provided quotes for each and detailed the process and what his work included. Spencer has my business for life. I have already recommended him to several family members and they are eager to work with him.

Honestly, surprised to see any negative reviews for Bucky's (at least this location)…read more I have brought my car here twice - once for a tune up, and most recently for a pretty serious issue that has me debating whether it's time to junk my car and just get a new one.... (Haven't decided yet ooop!) After a scary drive home with my car shuddering and smoking, I took it into Bucky's the next morning for them to do some peeking around. They called me in a timely manner on the same day with their theory but decided to keep it overnight to do more thorough inspecting. The next day he did a block test on my car and found it was more serious (aka expensive) than we had anticipated. He did solid research on pricing for me to attempt to the get best parts at the most affordable price that he could which I really appreciated! We decided to pick it up and take it home and decide what next steps would be (hefty fix on an older vehicle or buy a new one) and Robert (I thinkkkk that was his name, the guy who helped me the whole time) was totally cool about it and didn't try to upsell us or convince us to sway any each way. My car was there for almost 48 hours with all of the testing and poking around and I was pleasantly surprised that Bucky's didn't charge me a CENT for any of the diagnostic work or for keeping it there almost a full day after they called me with the final discovery. If we decide to take it back there for the fix, I'll definitely update - with the service I've received from Robert and his team so far, I'm guessing it'll remain 5 stars.

I had never left it out of my sight before and they had it in their care for a month and put my mind at ease. I am doing a restoration and had some mechanical done prior to my visit to Billy Bobs for the remaining work. I provided a list of wants and needs as well as some questionable concerns from prior mechanics. All of my action items were included as well as their additional findings when examining my Jeep in a professional, clear, and detailed report. Having a safe and reliable vehicle was my top priority. Communication back and forth during the work was fast and efficient and they pointed out additional areas the other mechanics missed and got everything fixed right and proper. I NEVER felt taken advantage of. When I picked it up they had it out front and ready to go. Driving it home was like driving a brand new Jeep! Everything was smooth and felt and sounded great. Everything I came in to get done was done and then some. They even took care of some special requests from me not in the original estimate. I cannot express enough my satisfaction with this establishment, the quality of work they provided, and the personalized service received. A real family business that I will recommend to everyone in my Jeep community. Top notch! Thanks everyone!
