It was the most stressful, absolutely awful experience that my husband and I have ever had. After 3 weeks of trying to get our car fixed, finally we got it back. That review will be coming and it's a doozy. Fast forward to the our current status. Last week, we had to take our Dodge Ram 1500 for repairs. After the last experience of a car repair we were so leery on where to take this. So I went on yelp and was hopeful that we could find a good repair shop. I saw Yire Automotive had reviews, not many, but that they 5 stars on every rating except for one. Hmmm..I'm thinking, that's just too good to be true. I looked at their site, I once again read the reviews, then I called them. The person who answered, Walter, was welcoming, listened to what I needed and said sure bring it in today. Well my husband had the truck, but I made an appointment for the next day. To put this all in a nutshell, the truck went in, Walter was just as friendly as he is in person as he was on the phone. There is no fancy office in place, but it's decent and Walter has all kinds of info on the wall about his certificates and what's in place. I asked him to call my husband because I don't understand crap when it comes to auto repairs. He was in constant contact with my husband, not only looked at what the issue was but recommended a few other things, sent pictures about this, that were important indeed, that should be repaired but he left this up to us. He didn't push, he didn't come on strong, he simply recommended. Suffice it to say, our truck was ready in two days. It is running beautifully. I have another repair that he will be handling, hopefully soon (well as soon as I call him) and I am sure that he and his people will take care of us again, just as well. It's extremely reassuring to have a place where you can take your vehicle and know that you will not get ripped off and where you will get good service. Now the reason I prefaced this review is to show how one place can be really bad for repairs and another isn't. Period. Anyways, give this place a shot, he's been in business a long time and there's a good reason why.

They charged me a 3% credit card fee because the warranty company paid by credit card. I can believe a King's Transmission thinks your suppose to pay for another company's credit card fee. I paid with my debit card. When I got my car back it was still doing the same thing. He then claimed this Friction Modifier that he sells to car dealers swear by it. He put it in my car and told me to drive it for a while. That still didn't work. I met someone else at another garage that drove my car and put his computer on it and said I needed a Transmission. I took it back to Karl who said then I needed a Transmission. Needless to say the warranty company subtracted the amount they paid on the torque converter from the salvaged transmission because they said he misdiagnosed my car. That left me paying over $1,200. I filed a complaint with the attorney General office and his wife replys after I respond to Attorney General. After speaking with the AG I was informed that I can file complaint with NC Dept of Justice. I tried to get them to fo the right thing. They are going to wished they did because I'm going to file my complaint with NC Deot of Justice. They are crooks so stay away.

Stumbled across Dave's in Auburn so I stopped in and told them my story. My issue was the clutch which they fixed and it runs well and they also advised ball joints were worn. Had them replace them. My Jeep actually steered in a straight line again. I was thinking my next stop would be alignment but do not have to do that now. I later called another shop and got an estimate for the exact same work at $1,200, which confirmed that their quote was on the very high side. I declined the work and went to pick up my car. I was told they did a minor cleaning of the brakes to reduce the noise, and I was charged a little over $100. Unfortunately, the brakes squeaked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I didn't make a big deal about that since the underlying issue wasn't addressed -- but when I got home, I noticed my hubcaps hadn't even been removed. That really made me question whether any work was actually performed at all. Between the high pricing, the ineffective "fix," and the suspicion that my car may have just sat in the shop while I still paid over $100, I will not be returning here. I would recommend that others get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs at this shop.

He ask that we send him the license plate number and VIN number. we sent to him then crickets!(No response). We called him several times to get the estimate on fixing it and I got no answer from phone calls or voice mails. We don't have $160 to throw away but I guess lesson learned. We are people of color and I truly believe once he saw us he didn't want to do business. I called in to make my appointment a month in advance and the owner thanked me for planning ahead. The day of my appointment proved most difficult with tons of traffic and I knew I was going to be late - so I called them on my way to let them know and ask if they prefer I come another time. The owner answered and said not to worry and thanks for the call. When I got there the son checked my car in and drove it around back. I chatted with the father inside the shop while I had my oil changed and battery checked. Everything checked out and my car was brought back around to where I had dropped it in less than 30 minutes - great service!
