Nicole was so good that she saved me over $200 based on the quotes I had received from Costco & Sam's Club who both had rebate options. I ended up ordering tires because they were out of stock but I had planned for this and it wasn't urgent to get tires same day. It only took a few days to get my items in. If it weren't for the snow closures I could've been rolling on my new tires sooner. I was even offered time to go grab a bite to eat & come back. I was hangry so I opted to come in the next day (it snowed) so a day later, I dropped the car off & Lehrman called & gave updates & upon pick-up gave recommendations for maintenance along with information on their current specials to save me money. He was not an overbearing sales associate. I didn't feel railroaded or pressured to get something I didn't want or need (run flat tires). This store is well maintained & all employees are easily identified by the name tags or their business cards they have for reference. I appreciate the fact that there were no false promises of when my vehicle would ready and follow-up calls were made for its status and completion of service. Maybe should have dropped off the car but I figured I could wait. They open at 7 & my appointment was at 8; seemed like checking over tire for a slow leak should be quick. Ha. Like most other Firestone shops I've ever been to, what's the point of making an appointment if I'm still waiting an hour & fifteen minutes later? The staff members are friendly & helpful but it's such bad customer service. You have to have base access to come here, so my SIL has always used this location rather than the one in town. I really wanted to give this place a great review. I brought my car in last week. Nail in the tire, the claimed they couldn't patch it. I thought that was odd, I called my husband and let him know we may have to purchase a new tire. In a nut shell he said come home and I will take care of it. He took it to a place right outside of post where they patched it for 15 bucks. I've brought my car here for at least 4 or 5 oil changes, as tire rotations and new tires. They're nice and get the job done, and it's easy to schedule an appointment in advance. This last time I only waited like an hour and 15 min and they were done, that's probably the fastest they've completed my oil change/tire rotation. Overall I find them dependable. read more

I wanted to get one part replaced for my car. Granted it was an older car that needed to be treated delicately, but still, this business overcharged me for the alternator I wanted replaced by $200+ and they gave it back to me with a battery warning light on my dash and told me to "take it to the dealership, because we don't do that kind of work here." I gave my car to them with no warning lights on the dash and they didn't want to help after they knew they messed up. I had no choice but to take my car to them because I was in training status on that base. Listen to me when I say this: If you have another choice that's more considerate and caring of other people's vehicles, choose that option. I'm so disappointed with their service and yes, they did rob me of almost 800 dollars total, but I hope they can do better. I just want them to be honest with future customers. read more

We are in activity family and a resident of the area, and we abused this fire so couple of time. I am so disappointed in the level of service that we received. For a second time after an oil change, they fail to top off the fluids which is left a basic thing but it's a service that we pay for. And then when I asked for the windshield wiper fluid in for documentation for what they checked and completed on my vehicle, I was me to wait an additional 10 minutes to leave without the information I needed. They continually answer phones while people are standing in the lobby waiting instead of addressing the customer in front of them and then getting to the phone, helping another customer and then getting to the phone, etc. Find someplace off post to take your vehicle. read more

Do NOT take your car here! Even for a simple oil change! I took my perfectly working car in for a tune up that they suggested a month prior for "preventative maintenance" when I got my oil changed. (Not a car person - so I believed my car needed it). When I picked my car up, it wouldn't start. After the front desk person came to witness it, the manager proceeds to tell me that "the girl" who did the courtesy check said it was starting "funny". I call BS! My car NEVER had issues starting up. Then he says they checked the battery and it wasn't that. He also says it's not the spark plugs because they were perfectly fine and in great condition. So why did I just pay $310 ($191 in labor) for them to swap out 6 perfectly working spark plugs, that they suggested?!! During their tune up they also did a Fuel & Induction Decarbonization. I left my car overnight for them to "diagnose" the problem. The manager calls me the next day and says that the technician "thinks" it's the start of a fuel pump problem. However, they are not 100% sure because they don't have the proper tools to run the right test for a Suzuki. (So, they're guessing) He also says that it started up 4 times just fine and it's intermittent. Again I call BS because as soon as I picked it up, it did the same thing and would not start!!!! So, now I have the start of a fuel pump problem after you did a fuel & induction decarbonization????? My car was properly maintained and taken care of and never had ANY issues with the fuel or with the car starting. Do not ger your car serviced here! Started going for oil changes bc it's closer. I was previously getting them at Kia but It became hard to get appointments because i needed them so frequently. I didn't have any issues. After going here a few times my oil light came on. I took it here because they were the last to service my car. Hours later they called me and said they couldn't fix it and take to dealer. Didn't say what was wrong or anything. Found out it was burning oil and the wrong oil had been put in it. Now i continue to have oil problems and will need an engine replaced on a 2018 car. How do you go from getting monthly maintenance to now needing a whole new engine??? I accidentally erased my previous post... First off, the manager and the front service associates are amazing! I have no complaints to any of the front of house personnel. Now, as far as the mechanics, every service I've had, I had to go back for another job to fix something else that was recently worked on. I had both front and rear brakes and rotors done at this location at different times. Both had been replaced within a year. I clearly have CV Joint issues but was not informed by the mechanics after I heard clicking noises. Then the rear started making grinding and scraping noises. We took it back and somehow, it was the front rotors that they changed and the rear pads. The noises is still there and was getting worse. We couldn't bring the car back since we were in the process of a PCS move. My father-in-law inspected my vehicle and found broken pieces of the brake retainer clip lodged in between the rotor and the back panel. As well as the emergency brakes we no longer in the correct position and have been grinding this whole time causing the loud screeching noises. I'm not sure why the guy that works on cars and brakes everyday couldn't figure it out. Meh service. Again, the front folks like Nicole and Audrey are awesome they are solid 5s! read more

My experience with this particular firestone is the reason I will never do business with firestone. This review is a few years late but seeing the other reviews doesnt seem like its gotten any better. My car was misfiring so I took it in here to get it diagnosed. They told me it was my spark plugs and they could take care of it. Being young a dumb I agreed. They had my car for a few days. I picked it up and drove it around and it was still misfiring. I turned back around and they said it was probably the coil packs. Again I left it for a few days. Came back, same deal. This time it had to be the ignition box. Again same deal. They told me it had to be something with the cars ECU. I was a poor college kid, I couldnt afford to keep missing school and work and the ecu cost more than the I paid for the car. Probably would have been so bad if they called and told me that what they tried didnt work but each time they said they fixed the issue, I was also no reimbursed or discounted for any of they stuff the "fixed". Couple days ago I came in. Stood around for a stupid amount of time before one of the workers finally noticed a line forming.... Wanted to get a part of my car fixed but they had to order the part. So I leave and come in the next day (took them a day to get the part) dropped off the car, waited for hours (understandable) until I finally get a call that they ordered the wrong part. I came here just to see if I needed my breaks changed, I made an appointment online the day before and no one got back to me to see if I could come in the next day( you have to make an appointment online and someone usually gets back to you to let you know if that time works). Back story:I called 30 minutes before the time I scheduled online to ask if it was ok to come since no one got back to me, the man who answered the phone said I could and I was on my way but route 32 was closed due to the nsa incident so I had to go around which made me late. Not firestone fault, they said I could come in the next day at 11am. Next day: I come and drop my car off around 11am, and I leave my car there, and they told me they would call me when they were done checking my car to see IF I needed breaks. They told me if I were to wait, it would take an hour or two. I had my daughter so I didn't want her to wait, so I left and 4 PM rolls around, no calls me, so I called them to see if my car was ready since It shouldn't take 5 hours to tell me if I needed breaks. They said my car wasn't ready... the man said they would call when the car was ready. He was really rude about it. I asked why it was taking so long and he gave me some bs excuse saying they need to carefully inspect the car. It doesn't take THIS LONG to check, I've been to plenty of other places where I have left my car and it didn't take 5 hours! They called me at 4:30 to tell me they are were done checking and I needed breaks and a bunch of random other stuff for my car. What is the POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT? It took 5 and a half hours to get my car back to tell me I need new wipers which I got from Costco for $16 versus their outrageous price. An oil change, which my lovely sticker on to the left of me stuck on my windshield has told me, and BREAKS, the only reason I went there! Anyways, My husband picks my car up and he drives It home, and the next day, I wouldn't start. I tried a couple of times to start It and it started sluggishly. I noticed it smelled like gas and there were white clouds of smoke coming from my exhaust. This has never happened, I get my battery and a full check when I get an oil change, and mind you, my car is less than 5 years old. I tried starting It later that night and the exact same thing happened again, my husband took it to another place and they said, so many firestone cars have come in after a "check up" with things wrong with It. Coincidence ? Nope. Firestone literally has con artists working in a legal entity. Note: my husband went to work and told people about what happened to my car since he had to take my car in to another shop and missed a bit of work, and to no surprise, many people said that the firestone was trash and one co worker had to go to a shop to fix his car after( nothing major) shockingly after firestone employees too a look at his car. All in all I would never come back here andi advise any service members, and their spouses or anyone that has base access to NEVER COME HERE. read more

The power steering went out in my sister car. I had brought it to a mechanic 4 days before and they had quoted me 800 for the power steering pump alone.. They were able to check it out same day. They also informed me it was a Mini Cooper recall and I should call the dealership rather than pay to replace it. They could have easily charged me to replace it but they didn't. Says a lot to me about there character. I'll be bringing my car here from now on. They even did a follow up call the next day. Not impressed on any level with this Firestone location! Took my car in for a simple oil change and they had noticed a part hanging off my car, but said nothing to me about it. Car also leaked oil after they worked on it. Ok for tires, but all in all will not be taking my car back there for any future repairs. I would like to also add that the wait time for anything to be done is insane. Not quite sure where the bit of a bad attitude came from when I was the one not very happy.... Will be taking my car to the dealership from now on. Not making that mistake again! They don't fix anything.Took my vehicle to get an A/C diagnostic done, and paid ~$300 to have the problem fixed. 3 days later the car started having the same problem so I took it back. They claim there was a leak and that it was fixed free of charge (should've been fixed the first time). A couple of days later the problem returned! Took it back and they had an entire list of "recommendations" completely unrelated to the problem and wanted me to pay close to 2k!! I took my business elsewhere where the issue was fixed. read more

I don't know what happened to the old service manager, but the shop is now far less customer friendly than it used to be. When I walk in, I stand there for over 5 minutes waiting for someone to show up. They are very short with me when talking to me as if they don't really care that much since they have a guaranteed customer base being on a military base. When I returned a call that they left to tell me what was wrong with my car, they said that Dennis would call me back in five minutes, 30 minutes later I had to call back and waited five minutes for them to track him down. The quote for a battery was over 100 dollars more than anywhere else (almost $300), and there was zero attempt to even help make it more affordable. When I came back to pick it up to go to Autozone, they charged me almost $30 for a battery check even though I am a regular customer, and this is the type of thing that the prior service manager would normally waive knowing that having regular customers will bring in more money in the long run. I have bought tires for both vehicles and done all other maintenance at this Firestone, but I am now going to look elsewhere. read more

If I could do 0 Star reviews, this place would be getting that. I had my tires replaced, they are different sizes in the front and back (staggered). This Firestone, of course, was not stocked with the tires we needed. We were told to bring the car back the next day at 2pm. I showed up with the car at 1:30pm (half an hour early). These people did not start working on the car until just before 4pm!!!! They had an unsupervised "assistant tech" replace the tires out in the parking lot, using a jack and hand tools... What kind of rediculous work practice is this?! It took them over 2 hours to replace tires. After leaving, we immediately noticed vibration in the steering wheel. It turned out that the "assistant tech" DIDN'T replace all the Bolts on one of the front wheels. Now the Firestone doesn't have the correct bolts to fix the mistakes that they made so we are taking the car to the dealership. The Firestone manager offered to pay the bill, because they don't have a choice. I am so far beyond upset with the service here. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY FELLOW SERVICE MEMBERS, TO AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS. By the way - the work we had done was not tax free. To review the tires, if Firestone/Bridgestone is all you can afford then go for it. But, if you can spare a few more bucks, get a better brand. read more

Excellent Service Advisor - great customer service! I needed a battery, called on my way in to work, Nicole said she could fit me in although their appointments were booked up. I was in and out in half an hour. Nicole was very helpful, wish there were more people like her working in customer relations - she would do well in any industry that values satisfactory customer interactions. Have already recommended this Firestone Center to others. Have used auto service at this physical location in the past, under different managers and staffing - this was one of the best experiences here. If you need a mechanic in this area, go to Firestone on base. We took our car to a mechanic in Odenton first. Now I'm clearly not a mechanic but I've adulted long enough and have paid attention to mechanics who've switched out my brakes plenty of times on different cars, and I'm a master Googler and researcher (journalist). So when a mechanic tells my husband over the phone basic services are $250 and then quotes me $1,100 in person, I'm going to look into it. This mechanic was not thrilled when I said I was getting a second opinion but when he says your car is so broken it's worth $1,100, that's crazy to not get a second opinion. I didn't tell Firestone I already had a quote and that I had a pretty good idea of what was wrong with my car, I just let them do their thing while I researched calipers and fluid flushes. An hour later, after a lot of researching, I discovered half the things on my first estimate were completely unnecessary. If Firestone had come up with a different diagnosis, we would have discussed it but they said the exact same thing as the first mechanic, with a much lower price tag. The Firestone estimate? Zero unnecessary items. Total cost: less than $400. read more

I took my car in for service two days ago for a synthetic oil change and to get my tires rotated. My car was there all day from the morning until 5..so left without a car..I finally get my car and they put their sticker on my windshield that says I'm due for another oil change in 4000 miles...wrong. I'm driving and my tire pressure light comes on, you think they would have filled up the air in my tires...wrong. Just from these two mistakes you can tell how lazy they are and I wouldn't trust bringing my car back to them. Would rather take it to valvoline where they do the oil change right in front of you while you are sitting in your car and they fill your tires up and care and take the time with your car to look at your filters and everything. Now I have to go and get my tires filled another errand that I hoped would have been done with my car at a freaking tire place all day. That's very upsetting. read more

But 10 minutes later I looked in the bay to see what's going on.. the girl was under the hood.. I'm thinking why is she under my hood to plus my tire... I talked to the guy at the desk.. was like look.. I just need my tired plugged I have to go... As is... They said it's s courtesy check... I didn't need all that.. While moving, the driver's side window in my Durango got stuck. Contacted Firestone for the first time, and they had it taken care of within 2 hours and $311 later with no appointment. Just walked right in and was even given a ride home by one of their employees while they worked on my vehicle. They certainly seem better than the TG Automotive which used to occupy this facility. Went in for the most basic of services and oil change. The mechanic "forgot" to put the put the car's skid Gaurd back on underneath the car. Took my car here to fix a flat, the day we were leaving for vacation. A Warranty replacement tire was suppose to be sent, so I bought a cheap tire from them. The tire was sent, proof that it was delivered but never received on this end. I called many times here to be quickly told no. No information or details was asked. Called the Manager today and the person I spoke with that day isn't the guy that's on the paperwork, but oddly this manager name is. Because he said he has no memory of me being there, I was there for 5 hours trying to get a tire. He even questioned that I called the right place and I possibly was wrong, there's no history or record of them expecting a tire, but only of me buying a tire. It's missing. Being told that it's not their problem just makes me realize I should of listened to everyone saying don't go here and all the 1 star yelp reviews, should of been a red flag. Lesson learned. My car was making a loud noise when I put it in reverse. We took it to the dealership thinking it had something to do with the wheel mechanism (which should've been covered under warranty). The dealership said that my brakes were almost rusted through, and that's what was causing the noise. They wanted $700. So we took it here, instead, and explained everything that we were hearing, and what the dealership said. The girl working there is super knowledgeable, and really friendly. She said they'd check it out, and let us know. We left it there, and got a call later saying I still had half the life left on my brakes (go figure!) and that all it needs is a good cleaning ($50 instead of replacing them for almost $400 there). Love finding a place that's actually honest. We took it in saying we were getting the brakes replaced, and they told us that's not what we needed, rather than just doing it and taking the money. And the squeak is gone! read more
