To this day nothing ever was resolved .... As I said before ." stay away from this location bad bad business ethics."

Absolutely horrible experiences, purchased tires for my wife's car they had car for three days and did NOT even balance the tires, car shakes when we get over 65mph and the best they could do is a apt in two to three days, not to mention guy chucked thought it was funny and was rude on phone, this is second complete waste of time, took my Jeep there for a alignment and steering wheel was 90 degrees off and way toed out, could tell wothbtape measure, went to another tire shop and looked at alignment machine and Jeep wasn't drive able, do not spend your hard earned money here place is a sham!!!!!!! read more

So service. To get an oil change it can take easily over an hour. If you want a fast oil change you need to go somewhere else. Other services are OK. I do like their life time wheel/tire alignment. So what I do is get an oil change and alignment and tire rotation all at the same time. read more

After about nineish months the two front tires have both had leaky valves. I took it in to have them fix it and the second I drove it on the freeway I could tell something was wrong. I called up a friend and he said it was probably the balance of the tires. THEY DIDNT BALANCE MY TIRES! So then I had to go back the next day, it took them 5+ hours. When I had called to confront them about the balance they said it wasn't a big deal and that it wouldn't do any damage. I had told my friend this and he felt as if I was being taken advantage of because I was a girl. So when he said that I figured I'd let him call and get this mess all sorted out, which he did. Like I said we waited five hours for it to happen and ironically when he got mad and told them he was unhappy they got on it so fast. They also vacuumed my carpets and backed it up into the first spot for him. I would never recommend going there. It's unprofessional, dirty and slow. read more

On Saturday 10/8/16 at 9:38 A.M. I called Firestone and asked if they could adjust the caster on my 1982 jeep to 6 degrees. Speaking to "Dan" I was told they could do this but the wait was approximately 90 minutes.According to my Customer invoice # 044353 my time "in" was 10:13AM. At 12:30 (135 mins later) I asked when my jeep was to be worked on and was told that they had one "tech" who did this work and as soon as he was free my jeep would be next.I had them note on the invoice under order notes "6 degrees positive caster .15 toe in" as this was the service I wanted. At 1;30, after waiting over three hours on a 90 minute ball park time quote my jeep was taken from the parking area into the service bay. At approximately 2:15 it was driven out and parked. At 2:20 as I had spent 4 hours and some change waiting I asked if I could pay and was told that my jeep wasnt ready, that there was no paperwork.I pointed out my jeep was outside and the sales person went looking for the paperwork and keys in the service area coming back and apologizing that they were "lost".Finally a little after 2:30 he "found" my keys and paperwork and glad to be done I paid at 2:36 and left. On my drive home I noticed no difference in the drivability of my jeep and upon checking my paperwork found that the caster had remained unchanged and only the toe in had been decreased. I returned and spoke with "Dan" who said he knew that this wasnt done that they couldnt locate the shims.I was refunded the $103.59 I had paid to have this done, even though it never was done as noted in the Invoice and Management was fully complacent in charging for services not rendered. I found Firestone Auto Care a few years ago when I lived in Maple Valley. I have since moved away but I still bring my car into this repair shop even above the local Firestone shop. The Covington shop is friendly, reliable and honest. I have a limited budget and a 12 year old car . They always work with me to fix the necessaries first. I have had a front end alignment, brakes, cooling system repairs, serpentine belt, oil changes, and a few other things. All the repairs and maintenance they have done has always performed perfectly. I am very happy with this shop. I can jump in my car and take a road trip and never worry if the work they did will fail. I highly recommend this shop. read more

My partner's car (Scion) began making a disturbing clicking rattle. She brought it into Firestone to have it looked it on a Thursday, the same day the sound began. They told her it was a loose alternator, but not to worry, they'd tightened it down. When she picks up her car, the sound is still there. So she goes back in to ask why. They told her the loose alternator had damaged the air compressor on the aid conditioner, but unless she wanted to fix that for 1.5k, not a problem, even if it did sound something like a "model T." (It'd never sounded like that before.) Well, she drove the car to work the next day (a Friday). The sound grew progressively worse and more alarming. Long story short, after work she decided that maybe it was time for a new car (something she'd been considering) rather than put 1.5k into a new air conditioning unit. On her drive to a new car dealer, something FELL OFF her car at highway speed. Who knows what? She traded in the car for scrap instead of its 2k blue book value. read more

sorry can't rate lower than a 1 star. Spent $1500 on motorhome tires and they can't even get the pressures correct. Takes me a day to get my pressures checked and filled. I think they are hiring off the street, anyone with a pulse to put a SAFETY item on your car or truck. Spend a little more..go to anyone else and save the migrane. The chick who gave 5 stars must have been good looking. read more

I took my car for a tire check because my tire pressure light kept coming on. They checked my tires and found the problem and gave me a quote to fix the sensors. The best part was that they did not charge me for their work. I would definitely come back to purchase tires or for any tire issues in the future. read more

Less than a year a brought my car to get the heater repair, they told me it needed to get replace which I did, I paid over $600 for that service and parts, right after I got my car back, I came back and told them that my car was heating up slowly but was working, it seemed it didn't have enough air flowing in the car, they checked and said everything was fine, I don't use my car much so I didn't see it as a big issue, now that is warming up, my ac was working but once again I brought my car back, after consulting with someone over the phone, they told me it could be the blower motor, when I came in they checked and called me back saying it was a wire, and filter, I got my car and it is blowing air as it used to but now the AC is not working which it was before I brought it in, also the power steering seems to be boiling which is something it wasn't doing before, I'm not sure what's going on, neither what your guys are doing but are messing up my car, I got my car at 5:43pm, is 6:50 and AC is not working, when I called them back, they told me I never mentioned the AC which I didn't because it was working, they told me I had to bring it back but not today because they are about to close but I could bring it Friday which I work so I don't know if I can, this is totally unnaceptable, I hope this problem get fix but I never will be back, I had to pay $62.50 to check the blower which it was not even the problem, now more problems came after my visit which imply that I'all have to pay more bills, seems to me they are not being honest and are causing issues purposely to charge more on recurring visits. read more

The reviews on here are mostly bad for a reason - heed them and learn from all of our mistakes. There hasn't been a time I've taken my car here when I didn't have to take it back because they either messed something up - or didn't do what they were suppose to do. I take good care of my vehicles, always have. So I've taken my vehicle here for routine maintenance type of work. You would've thought I would learn my lesson after the first two times - but I didn't and took it there a third time. I've had to bring it back twice and now my window and sunroof won't work. I didn't even go to them for anything having to do with either of these things. The place is a nightmare and don't let them convince you they know what they're doing. And the manager Ray - he's a complete buffoon. And the main store manager - he's a total jerk. it's not worth it - go to Les Schwab or your dealer. It may be more money in the front - but you won't get bent over in the end. . . . read more

To say they are unethical would be giving too much credit. I had a small roofing nail in my tire in the center of the tread I have a road hazard warranty with Firestone on my $2,000 set of tires. I took it in to this location because it's closer to my home than the one I bought the tires at I waited for about an hour and I received a call stating that my tire could not be repaired I don't think they realized I was sitting in a chair in the waiting room and my car hasn't moved. Needless to say I'm not stupid so as I sat in that chair on my cell phone I asked to talk to the service manager that put me on with someone named Ray who talk down to me like I was an idiot as he explained that the angle of the nail made it impossible to repair. This is quite possibly the most unethical group of people I have dealt with in my life there's a reason they have so many negative reviews. Needless to say I will not be going back. read more

I recently brought my 1995 Honda Civic to these guys when the clutch on it started slipping. They gave me a great quote and assured me that I would be taken care of. I brought the car to them on Friday December 20th 2012, and it was done by 7PM the same day. They replaced the flywheel rear main seal and clutch plates. I picked it up at 7:30 and drove it all Christmas weekend. Then this morning out of nowhere I heard a loud bang then the clutch would no longer engage. I called them up and they called a tow truck for me and paid for the tow. Upon inspection, they discovered that the CV shaft had popped out of the transmission and that they would need to replace the rings. They ended up actually replacing BOTH axles for FREE. All charges covered. No questions asked. In my book this equals EXCELLENT customer service. I would HIGHLY recommend ANYONE needing service to their vehicle to take it to these guys. Definitely a repeat customer here. read more

i own a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville. I had a problem with it staying running so I called Firestone. They came and towed my car to fix. We also asked for a tune-up. The next day they called and told us it was fixed. We paid over $800 to take it home. Drove home no problem. The next day I had the same problem. Firestone took it again. pickedit up again. Next day same thing. Firestone again. They called and said over $1000 to fix. They finally figured out what was wrong. We now have to have to have it towed home because I will not let them fix it. We missed work and had to spend all our Christmas money on something they did not fix. I could go on but I am so disappointed that I will probably say something nasty. We will never be back and we will tell our friends and family not to go to this establishment either. Very upset. Steffanie Blake 206-708-0666 read more

So, i went here because i was having fuel issues with my truck. They told me it was the fuel pressure regulator which made sense, so i had them fix it. It was a steep bill at about $550 but i didn't want to do it my self. They finished that job, i got my truck back, then a day later the check engine light came on. I took it back and they told me the guy who worked on it had over tightened something and cracked the intake manifold. They admitted to the mistake and payed to have it all fixed. Once they were done with that they told me that the fuel pressure regulator wasn't even the problem and that my truck was still running badly. This did not make me happy but i said okay and told them to try and find the real problem. They called me back the next day with the real problem and said they had also covered that, i was still upset though because i had payed a lot of money to have the fuel pressure regulator replaced. By now you are wondering why i gave them a 4 star review. That is because besides the mistakes and misdiagnosis they had made. They ended up taking around $350 off of the original $550 bill. They owned up to every mistake and made it right with the customer. 4 stars to them for realizing when a mistake is made and fixing it. read more

DO NOT GO HERE,TERRIBLE SERVICE,CON ARTISTS I actually worked at another firestone location but Covington is closer to my house. I had taken my truck to the Covington firestone for warenty work because my truck wasn't safe to drive far. They tried to charge me $199.99 for a engine diagnosis for my belts coming off when you could just open the hood and see that I had a frozen pulley. They tried to tell me they had to hookup a scan tool to read the computer to see why?????? At that point I announced that I was a service manager at another firestone location and the salesmans tone of voice changed immediately,he had told me that they still had to charge me full price for it because I wasn't at my store. Then to boot they told me it would be 2-3 weeks before they could look at it. Needless to say I was pissed and left, but I came back inside to see who the salesman was and he was telling someone "sure no problem we can get you right in" to a customer who was buying about $2000 in work. Oh and my truck is a 1990 Toyota... You can't really hookup a scan tool to it, you have to activate diag mode and count the flashes on the dash. Talk about selecting the customers. I had limped my truck to the Firestone I had worked at and they took care of my issue (just a pulley, all under warenty) in a matter of a few hours. A few days later I thought I would test my theory again, I called and asked how long it would be for an oil change. The person Dan had told me that they are looking about 3-5 days out on appointments for an oil change. I then I had my friend call a few minutes later and ask about getting his truck in for tires and an oil change, they told him it would be able to be done that same day by the end of the day...so turning away the lesser profit items and only taking the big stuff in. read more

I brought my wifes Jeep in for a leaking front axle seal and asked them to check to see what the issue was and how much it would cost to fix along with a quote on new shocks. Within a few hours of dropping the Jeep off I received a call to tell me that the front seal was in fact leaking and the seal repair along with the differential fluid change would run a few hundred dollars and the shocks that I wanted were quoted as well. at that point since the repair seemed affordable I approved the new shocks and the seal repair and transfer case fluid change with the estimate of approximately $1,000 for everything. Unfortunately they weren't able to finish the vehicle on Saturday like that hoped and told me they would have it done Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon we still had not received any word so my wife called and was told that the manager would call her back. Several hours later with no call back we stopped by and were told that unfortunately the seal repair could not be completed because it was beyond the scope of work that they could perform at Firestone and would be a lot more expensive than they had initially thought. At this point my wife and I were very frustrated because we had spent $700 on the best shocks available because we were told that the seal repair would only be a few hundred only to find out after a day and a half of them having the vehicle that the seal repair was going to be closer to $800 to $1,000 by itself and we would have to take it to a different mechanic to have it done. We were very frustrated about the breakdown in communication and the fact that no one called us at any point along the way to tell us any of this, and the fact that we had to go in to find out. Luckily we were able to talk with Dan the manager who was extremely nice and apologetic about the entire situation. He informed us that they were going to take off the entire cost of the labor portion for the new shocks and come to find out they had also replaced a different seal they saw leaking in the the rear and they didn't charge us anything for it. Dan also gave my wife and I free oil changes for our troubles. While this was definitely a frustrating experience initially Dan really changed things around and made us into satisfied customers. I have had multiple Vehicles serviced at Firestone and always had a good experience in the past and will continue to use them for my mechanical needs on my vehicles in the future. read more

We had a pretty rough start, I dropped my jeep off at around 11 on a Saturday for a leaky seal. They told my husband and I that they would call with an estimate then we could probably pick it up in the evening before they closed. They called my husband with an estimate and said they could fix it for a great price. At that point my husband decided to buy me new shocks because the price was so low for the problem we brought it in for. We were told that we may have to pick it up in the morning and we were ok with that. The next day we had not heard from them at all and at 12pm I called to see when it might be done and was told that the manager was going to call me back. 4 and half hours later my husband and I decided to go there and see what was going on, and I see that my jeep is on the rack and tires off still! We went in angry and frustrated and it didn't stop there. At this point we found out that the problem couldn't be fixed at their shop and that I needed to take it somewhere else but they had already put the shocks in for us. So now on top of the time they spent on the jeep and the shocks, we still had to pay almost $800 but the problem I brought it in for was not going to be fixed and most likely cost me another $800 to $1000. I was furious! BUT Dan the manager was amazing! Not only did he explain everything to us and help us out with the cost, but then gave my husband and I a free oil change. He spent the time to talk to us and actually understood our frustration. He didn't try and cover their butts, he knew there was a mess up and fixed to the best of his ability. When a company can recognize their mistake and they try to fix it, that to me is great customer service. So thank you Dan for being so understanding and helping us feel important. read more

I replaced my own brakes and rotors on my truck. But, when I got to the rear rotors I could not break the bolts free holding the calipers on. They were seized with lock tight, and a lot of it. I went to Schwab for help and they would not help me break the bolts, even though I offered to pay the labor. I was frustrated and asked what they would charge to finish the rotor replacement and they refused that as well, instead wanting to sell me their pads and rotors + labor, even though I already had the parts. Well that was not going to happen, so I pulled into Firestone across the street. Ray put my truck up on the lift, got the biggest guy in the shop with the biggest breaker bar and torch handy just in case and broke the bolts free for me. He handed me my key, said have a nice day and that they would not charge me for the service even though I offered! Now that is great service. I came back a month later and had my tires balanced and rotated. Another one that Schwab wanted to charge me for, even though I had them mount the tires to begin with, but since I bought them from someone else they would not re-balance and rotate for free. I pulled into Firestone, they put my truck on the lift and got me taken care of right away. It is to bad other folks had bad experiances, but mine were nothing but good. Thanks Firestone! read more

worst firestone ever ! had a set of tires put on our honda civic and they couldnt even do that right; stripped lug nuts. damage to shocks and struts ,suspension parts due to being dropped to fast from lift.they conned the wife into a lifetime warranty for alignment and a reduced price oil change.a firestone TF 2876 oil filter was put on (wrong size) so tightly it had to be forced off ,one and half hour labor,as was the oil pan plug.kids at a high school auto shop class could do better job. do your self a favor dont use these guys even the coffee is sub standard! read more

I called to set up an appointment to have my oil changed. Time was for 10:00am. I arrived at 9:40. Was told my car is next, so I wait. As time goes by I see the technician come in for not one but two cups of coffee and watch a little tv. Observing the tech, I see he is slower then slow. Grabbing the wrong tools and going back to get the right one. Chit chatting with fellow workers. I finally got up to the desk to check out, after an hour and a half, for an oil change. The front desk person, has no personality what so ever. I go to pay for my oil change, usually they go over what work was done and so on. This guy answers the phone, doesn't put him on hold, continues to talk with him. He does not even bother to go over my work that was done, no thank you, nothing. I am very disappointed in your service. Last time I was in for an oil change it took over 2 hours. I might suggest you guys work on your customer service skills. Your customer care has gone way down hill. I will not be recommending your place to anyone in the near future. read more

I came in on a PACKED Sunday after a weekend of camping and heavy off-roading.. My allignment was all screwed up and my front tires were VERY off. It's safe to say I and my friends had a blast! Hahaha.. I could barely turn. I wish i was more careful. Anyways, I was stressed out and worried that maybe I broke or bent something. I kinda didn't appreciate the immediate "we're packed, sorry cant help ya" attitude. I had no other options on where to take it. They were able to squeeze me in but it didnt seem like they were happy about it. They got everything put back in allignment in a speedy time, I just wish somebody smiled and said "we'll take care of you" when I came in all stressed and worried. The customer service absolutely needs improvement, so that the good work gets matched by friendly faces upfront. The last thing a shop should do is make their already stressed customers more stressed or worried. Anyways, I don't want to leave any less than 4 stars because i dont wanna be a jerk, and like I said, they did a good job. I'm just lucky they squeezed me in, and lucky I didn't break any parts. I hope this review helps! I still WOULD recommend this shop. read more

I am back. I had to come back, regardless of how terrible my service was the previous visit. I have left a review before and this is an additional one continued from that. (Last time they took 5 hours to put on two tires when I had an apt). Then ever since receiving my vehicle back, my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) had been going off on my front passenger tire. I finally found out why I was losing tire pressure. They had broke the valve stem while installing my tires. (If you remember, they had a heck of a time removing and installing my tires the first visit). I called yesterday and the employee told me to come on at 0700, the next morning and I would be taken care of. Well here I am. I was told I should make an apt and it will be a while... I'm a patient guy, I try to be respectful and courteous. This is getting difficult... I told the employee I was told to come in at 0700 and would be taken care of, he said you will be but it will take a while to get to me. I said why do you make apts if that time won't be when I am taken care of. I ABSOLUTELY will not come back again. Even if it is something of their fault again, I would rather pay knowledgeable, professional workers who seem to appreciate customer service. read more

I bought a pair of front tires and had my '97 Chrysler mini van aligned at the Covington Firestone after having some front suspension work done somewhere else about 8 months ago. From that point, my van had a pulling problem to the left, and it got worse the faster I drove. I am very busy so it took me a couple months to get back in and they spent 4 hours working on it trying to get it to stop but couldn't and I was out of time so I took it and left. My van has been totaled before and put back on the road so I decided to take it to a frame shop (Burien Frame and Wheel Alignment) to see if there was frame damage causing the problem. They couldn't find anything wrong but tried swapping the back tires to the front and that solved the problem. So after 8 months and 14,000 miles I took it back to the Firestone store to see if they would do anything for me since it had been so long since the tire install. As soon as I explained the problem, they gave me another new set of tires for the front of my van no questions asked. I couldn't have asked for anything more. This is a busy location and if you go in and watch them work, you will see that they keep busy, don't fool around and the crew has been unfailingly friendly to me in all my visits there. Anybody can put up a sign and say they work on cars but it's how they handle problems, that are going to happen no matter how good they are, that sets the good shops apart from the bad. Plus, if something seriously goes wrong, they have the backing of the Firestone corporation to cover expenses that a small shop wouldn't. These guys have earned my respect and loyalty. read more

This Firestone in Covington has bad customer service and the horrible service. I bought tires there a few months ago and once the tires were purchased customer service went out the door. They also took forever to get tires on. Then I go there a second time for a flat tire which I had already pulled myself and it took 2 hours for a tire change. The service department Was not busy there was only one other person in there with me. I watched several of the shop EE standing around just talking and not working. On top of slow poor service the people at the front desk were rude the minute I walked in. I will never buy tires from Firestone again. I just hope I don't have another flat tire so I don't have to deal with rude and lazy people. What happened to the hard working class. Les Schwab has it figured out and at least they hustle. Oh yeah lastly after waiting 2 hours on a flat they park my truck at the other end of the parking lot while there are plenty of stalls towards the front. Well I'm glad I'm not lazy like them and don't mind walking. Where's the common courtesy. read more
